Bus schedule & service
The bus from Port Authority to East Brunswick does not leave on time most of the days. They wait until the bus is full or until they can’t justify waiting anymore. On other days, it leaves with half the seats empty and people trying to get in.
The service is simply appalling. I reached on time and the door was just closing, not even closed completely. The driver refused to let me in. There were numerous empty seats in the bus. There was no justification for this kind of behavior. It seemed like she was doing this out of spite or frustration on her things.
I pay good money to use this service and am very much disappointed!

I was walking to the bus stop I noticed that the 24B to jersey gardens was already there and he just shut the door. A guy at the stop got him to open the door for another lady so I started running made it to the door and he literally shut the door on me my body was literally in between the 2 doors. Then I dropped my phone tried to pick it up and he still closing the doors not paying attention as I was bending the doors started to close on my neck until the people outside was yelling “you’re closing the doors on her. “ He didn’t even ask was I okay

Dangerous Driving from Coach USA Bus Driver in NYC
I'm writing to report an incident of dangerous driving by a Coach USA bus driver in New York City. On Tuesday, at 3:38pm at Exit 1 of the Holland Tunnel (NYC side), my car was side swiped by bus #47838, license plate P800765. The bus passed far too close to the vehicles stopped at a red light and at a speed that was unwarranted for the situation. The damages could easily have been far greater. The bus driver seemed oblivious and did not acknowledge the situation. She continued on to turn south at the Westside Highway.

The 945 bus to middletown ny broke down In NJ 2/28/2023
The bus had tire issues and I sat on the side of the road until some one come to fix it or the 11pm bus leave the port authorities on its way to middletown. This is unacceptable to me. The middletown station alway seem to get short sidled whem it come to busses are schedules. The bus number is 13176. I pay for a scheduled route in a timely manner even with delays ..
Desired outcome: I would to credit partial. I was supposed to arrive at middletown at 1130pm not 1am .
Extremely rude and isensitive driver
We took bus from Chicago O'hare to Madison with bus number 64158 (pic attached) at 4.40pm on Feb 18th, 2023. We were visiting our relatives in Madison from New York and told driver that we will get down at last stop in Madison University. When we were about to reach Dutch Mill Park and ride our niece informed that she is very close to Dutch mill park and we shall get down at Dutch Mill.
When we arrived, we got down with other passengers and VERY POLITELY informed the driver AND SAID, "SIR WE WILL BE GETTING DOWN HERE SINCE OUR RELATIVES WERE CLOSE AND THEY ARE PICKING US FROM HERE INSTEAD OF UNIVERSITY, COULD YOU PLEASE GIVE US OUR LUGGAGE". To which he extremely rudely replied I DON'T CARE AND I AM NOT REMOVING YOUR LUGGAGE, I will drop your luggage at university, and you can pick it from there. THAT"S NOT IT, he just entered the bus and started closing the door, I had to rush and enter the bus leaving my wife and 3-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER so that we don't lose our luggage. Thank God that my niece was there and with my wife and daughter they had to chase bus for around 6 or 7 miles, where driver finally gave us our luggage.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I DID INFORM THE DRIVER THAT OUR LUGGAGE IS RIGHT IN FRONT AND IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN DRIVER NOTHING MORE THEN 10 TO 15 SECONDS, but he chose to be extremely rude and not just refused to give our luggage but also entered the bus saying that I will drop your luggage at university come and pick from there.
I was so much in shock that it took me few minutes to realize what just happened and what would have happened if our niece would not have been at Dutch Mill.
We have never had such experience with Coach USA in 7 years of visiting Madison several times, but this experience just makes us wonder if we should ever get into Coach USA and take risk of experiencing something like this again.
I would appreciate some action against the driver and inform us. I hope no one ever have an experience like this and Coach USA will do justice.

31 Bus from Newark Penn Station
31 has been coming sporadic with drivers not knowing the schedule. On 2/6/23 I arrived at 9:05am and got on the 31 af 9:40 am almost an hour long wait for one bus. In addition they don't work with NJ transit at all meaning you won't know when it comes or predict it's schedule at all.
When they do come they're over crowded due to thier infrequency or worse two come at the exact same times after close to an hour wait.
Coach is clearly either not aware or doesn't care to run the 31, this is especially confusing as to my understanding they took on the 31 from NJ transit.
One of the worst run lines I've ever seen!
Desired outcome: Overall and Upkeep consistent times and schedules as well coordinate with NJ transit if possible
Driver of bus #20150
On Numerous occasions the bus driver has been asked to turn off bus/boarding lights and he refuses and says” I’ll turn bus lights off when I get to mountvale nj” which is 30 minutes in.I’m speaking for myself but one of the reasons riding the bust is to arrive to employment on time! ALSO TO RIDE IN COMFORT AND CONTINUE A EARLY MORNING SNOOZE! This treatment is unacceptable and borderline Predjudice (spring valley riders predominantly of color)

Milford/Matamorus to NYC Port Authority
I began taking Coach again last month from Milford and sometimes Matamorus, PA to Port Authority (NYC). Today, August 8, 2022, I waited for the 5:04 a.m. Coach Shortline bus in Milford for about 30 minutes. I grew tired of waiting for the expected 5:04 a.m. which had not showed up by approximately 5:25 a.m., so I returned home. My thought was, is the bus the first bus running and if not, the 2nd bus will be packed to accommodate the 1st and 2nd bus riders. Therefore, the possibility that the bus would be filled up prior to reaching Milford or Matamorus. This is not the first time this bus has been late. It happens too frequently, especially with the driver who drove Friday morning, August 5, 2022. I can understand being late sometimes, but this driver is late often. Since Coach no longer runs the earlier bus, as you once did, the 5:04 a.m. from Milford leaves no room for error for once I hit the NYC, I must still take public transportation to my job. There are too many variables, too many things can happen along the way, from the time Coach picks up in PA, travels to NY Port Jervis, then arriving to Port Authority in NYC, then taking public transportation to my job. It would help greatly if you brought back the earlier fun out of Milford/Matamorus. A time such as 4:15/4:30 a.m. would greatly help your commuters. So many of us have discussed the need to bring the earlier bus back. Bringing back the earlier bus would give the commuters some cushion, if or when your bus is running late, and/or if traffic is heavy, and/or other things are happening on the roadway. This way, the commuters would have more time to arrive to their jobs on time. Your schedule is too tight, too down to the last minute, too exposed to things like this morning's bus being late or no show. I really hope you bring an earlier bus in the morning (4:15/4:40 a.m.) for so many of us are discussing this almost everyday. "We Need An Early Bus In The Morning". One more thing, I'm signed up for text/email from coach. I did not receive any alerts as to why the bus did not show and/or was late. Why? I would appreciate a response from you as soon as possible.
Dirty and false price advertising
We bought 2 adult tickets and 1 child ticket for a 13 year old, as written in the website. Before we enter the bus, the driver said a full price was necessary, as opposed to what the cashier sold us at Port Authority, and we paid the difference. The driver asked to pay $21.00 in cash, and I don’t have a receipt. As we got to our sits, there was garbage by the window, an empty can and paper. Between the quality of the bus, garbage, and charging extra $21.00 at the bus entrance, it’s very disappointing.
Desired outcome: I would like to get the $21.00 difference I paid for the full ticket reimbursed.

On Monday July 11-2022 at about 11:40 i purchase a round trip ticket to Suffern NY. When i gave the ticket to the bus driver, he gave me back the wrong portion of the ticket and I did not notice until I was taking the bus to come back and I gave the portion of the ticket to the bus driver who told me it was not valid. I explained to him this is what the other driver gave me. Instead of him calling to a supervisor and explained what was was going on, he told me I was needing to pay again in order to come back on that bus cuz i not It was coming out of his pocket. he did not know if I had money and It was so unfair and embarrassing to be told that in front of everyone on the bus. I was needing to come back, so I pay it again.
Desired outcome: Please refund my money and please talk to the drivers to please provide a better customer service because it was so embarrassing.
Comfortable temperature on bus
The bus is packed full of people and the sun is shining. We are traveling from Burgettstown, PA to Cuyahoga Falls, OH on 6/9/22 at 1:15PM. Our bus driver, Carl, refuses to turn on air conditioning and some people are complaining of headaches. Some people are simply uncomfortable. Carl seems to not care or understand how warm we all are. The air he has on is warm. It’s an awful experience. We are traveling to go work at an outside music event and I hope we are all okay to work since the bus ride is making a lot of us sick.

I'm making this complaint because the drivers for this route is consistently late or never shows up at the scheduled times they are to be running from Plainfield to Murray Hill to summit .. They leave ppl always waiting & stuck missing train rides to get home on a everyday basis... There's never any notice stating wen or if they gonna show up wen the times for service has passed... If the drivers DNT wanna work then something should be done. Thank you

4/20 4/21 4/22 At 11:10 Pm the 24 Never came for three night in a Row and all I’m Told Is we Don’t have Enough Drivers. I Rely on the Bus to get Me To and From Work CoachUSA needs to Do better informing the Public about Change For The Past Year this has been going On It runs 2 Maybe 3 times a week and you can Forget about the Weekend It just Don’t Run At All.

Route 31 bus
The amount of time i have to wait for the bus on the weekdays are ridiculous. Today november 27 i was at broad and market waiting for almost an hour and a half just for one bus. This is out of hand. Especially since its getting cold we should not have to wait that long for public transportation. I understand its not njtransit amd their schedules run different but something needs to be done. This is not the first time ive waited this long either.
Desired outcome: Need more drivers and better schedule timing or drivers need to get better at being on time

On thanksgiving eve 11/24/2021, I caught the 3:45pm bus from gate 407 going to Middletown. I asked the driver while he scanned my ticket if he was stopping at the Citgo station on route 17M. He said yes. Fast forward to the bus arriving in Middletown and I knew the bus on was route 17M but did not know exactly where the bus stop was at the Citgo gas station (found out in was in New Hampton). As I was looking out the window trying to figure out where the bus would stop, I noticed the lights quickly come on for a second then go back off. A few seconds later I see the Citgo gas station I assumed where the bus was to stop. I get up and walk to the bus driver and asked him wasn't the bus supposed to stop at the Citgo? He tells me I should have told him that I wanted to stop there and he said that I should have gotten u and started walking down the aisle so when He turned on the light he would have know I wanted to get off the bus. I told him I am not going to walk on the bus while its moving and that I told him before I got on the bus if it was stopping in New Hampton. Then he tells me that there are two Citgo stops in new New Hamptons and how was he supposed to know which one I wanted to get off at (there is only ONE stop in New Hampton so what is he talking about). So he basically kept going on about why basically it was my fault that I missed m stop even though it's a scheduled stop. I told him that I was not going to argue with him and just let me off at the next corner which is now about a couple of miles away from where I was supposed to get off and even then He kept going on about why I don't understand what he is talking about letting him Know I needed to get off the bus. Thanks Coach USA for letting your customers know that they are wrong and you are right. I will be sharing this as much as possible.

On Friday November 19th I arrived @ the Middletown ny short line bus station to board the 10:15 am bus to New York City. I'm a 75 year old senior citizen and had difficulty climbing up the bus entrance stairs being that the stairs were too difficult to reach. My daughter had to physically help me get on the bus although I couldn't manage with her help either. I finally told the bus driver if he can lower the bus so that I can board it . Remind you all this was happening while he sat in the bus driver position while interacting with his cell phone. I rudely told us to move away from the bus so that he can lower it. I finally was able to board. My daughter was holding my small suitcase waiting for bus driver to open the luggage section. After she waited outside for a few minutes she ask the driver if he can open up the side section so that she can enter the suitcase . The bus driver very rudely told her that all she had to do is open it herself "It's very easy to do. Most people don't have a problem opening it". She explained to him that we are not regular commuters on the bus and the times we do take the bus the bus driver always opens it for the customers. He then proceeded to get off the bus with a very nasty attitude to show me how "easy" it was to lift up the hatch and open it myself. I felt very humiliated by his action and words in-front of the other customers . This driver needs to be reprimanded for his actions being that he is representing such a huge company. He should NEVER make a customer feel as if they are a nuisance because that is the way he treated myself and my daughter. I will be following up on this report because I'm so hurt and upset @ the same time over someone that should've been more professional @ his job.

24A Bus service is the worst I ever seen in life
I been living in Elizabeth, NJ for 6 years and for 6 years the 24A bus service Barely runs on schedule. Yesterday myself and 3 other people waiting for the 24A bus for 1 hour and one person was elderly but after waiting 40+ minutes she left and went home. There was a time I waited 2 hours for a 24A or B bus and just decided to walk home from stop and shop to first street and never saw a bus my while walking home. As jolly as I am why am getting on a bus with a driver who already has a nasty attitude and it's ALWAYS THE MEN. They are passing people and not stopping. They are running back to back i saw 3 24A buses one right behind the next on the same street so they are not running on schedule…..please don't say it's due to covid y'all don't have enough drivers because I been in Elizabeth for 6 years and it's been like this for the 6 years and most importantly the 24 bus service is not reliable I left home 1 hour and half for a job interview and still got there late I ended up taking a Uber

Passenger safety
The busses that travel from East boulder mine on I-90 interstate only travel 55 miles mph. I 'am sure to save on fuel. The problem with this is the busses are impeding traffic and semi trucks slow moving vehicle over sized vehicle are passing us continually putting our lives at risk and also the drivers that are suppose to clean the busses are standing around and smoking. Not leaving the mine site in a timely manner robbing family time away from employees.
Desired outcome: Travel at 70 mph the same speed as comercial vehicle (posted speed)

this bus in the shoulder of route 495 after lincoln Tunnel. Driver was aggressively targeting cars
And I almost got hit.
Very dangerous driver.
