Coffey Bros. Moving review: Moving charges

I am writing to formally file a complaint against Coffey Bros Moving due to their deceptive pricing practices, gross mismanagement of my move, and overall unprofessionalism. This company engaged in predatory business practices that resulted in me paying nearly $4,000, despite initially being quoted only $900.

Prior to my move, I provided the company with detailed information about the number of items to be transported. Despite this, they intentionally sent only three movers and one truck, ensuring that the job would take excessively long. As a result, my move stretched from 8 AM to 8 PM, significantly increasing my costs since they charge by the hour.

Additionally, after 12 hours of work, the movers failed to transport all of my belongings, leaving many items behind due to lack of space. This was entirely their fault, yet I was still charged an outrageous amount. The service was completely inadequate, and the price I was forced to pay was not justified by the work performed.

To make matters worse, when I attempted to address these issues with the company, I was met with indifference and refusal to take responsibility.

I am requesting a full investigation into this company’s business practices, as they are misleading customers and engaging in price-gouging tactics. Furthermore, I would like a partial refund due to their failure to provide the agreed-upon service.

I strongly urge other consumers to avoid Coffey Bros Moving and for this board to take appropriate action against them to prevent future customers from being exploited.
