When I try to buy I get the message Buys Have Been Disable. I have txt with the online bot I was sent to a live agent she checked into my account but was unable to find the problems. She said she was going to escalate to upper support and you will been notified by email. I received a email saying was your issue resolved I return the NO on the email and nothing happens. I t has been going on for 5 days now I would like the issue resolved.
Desired outcome: being able to buy bitcoin
hijacked account
On December 2nd 2021 I found an attempt to take $1, 000 and $34, 000 from my checking account. Neither attempt was authorized by me and I did not have sufficient funds to cover either attempt. I also had problems accessing my account. These charges were corrected with my bank but when I contacted Coinbase all I received NO response that directly answered my concerns. All I got was cut-and-paste, canned responses that did nothing to help me and when I finally got into my account I found that my $3, 000 balance except for around $104 was gone. I contacted Coinbase about this with the same crap from them. NO responses addressing my problem and no explanation of where my money had gone. Then on or around December 13, there was another attempt to charge my checking account $34, 000 to which my bank responded to immediately. I closed my account with but I can't access the account with Coinbase complaining that my email address was invalid. I wonder if or how I am going to access my account for tax purposes at the end of the year. Based on their responses so far I'd say not.
Desired outcome: I want a direct response to my concerns that demonstrates they actually read it and I want my $3,000 back.
Loss of funds!
On aprox March 21/2021 i was scammed out of 151000.00 on my Coinbase account, , , on that date i seeked help on Coinbase support page and a box came up they said they was Coinbase support, , keep in mind this happened on Coinbase support line. Anyhow it was a first time to contact Coinbase so i didnt know how it worked they have no phone just the support line which i was using, , , i wanted to know if i could change a withdraw i just made. They said yes so i went thru the process yes i gave my password but i question it, they said they are Coinbase and if i wanted the help i needed to do so they also said i was typing the password into a bot which no human can see. After that my account was froze and over a 3 day period withdrew 151000 out of my account.I contacted Coinbase after may times and no help... Like i said they have no phone, the only thing they have for customers is a support line which is what i got scammed on. i can prove this as i took parts of their scam i took screen shots, Also after i was scammed they added support to the support line meaning now you need to submit a code from your e mail to send a support question. If that was in place i never would of got scammed, , , they also added a somewhat phone support meaning you apply for a card from Coinbase and when you get the card you can call them now, , which if that was in place i wouldnt of got scammed i would have called first. Also on the news Coinbase lost millions of customer dollars accounts between March to May 2021. I also have a account with Gemini, Kucoin, Gateio with never a problem why is that?
Desired outcome: rembursement
XLM crypto transfer from Bitmart
Where did my cryptocurrency go? I have the digital receipts of all transactions leading up to the withdrawal/ transfer of Stellar Lumen (XLM) from Bitmart to Coinbase. My email to Bitmart & Coinbase is to [protected]@gmail.com.
Unauthorized withdrawal of $100 by coinbase from my bank
i bought shib for $92.00 on Nov 22. so coinbase withdrew additional $100.00 from my bank acoount. This amount of $100.00 is not being accounted for in my coinbase account. my ID c2uqkebh
CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN bad. I have been on telephone and had to hang up after on hour. Tried to use Chat, where chat wants customer to resolve their problems rather than help. I also went on your portal and filed all the papers but problem is still pending.
please check and resolve this issue
Desired outcome: I want to see my $100.00 accounted for
Stolen cryptocurrency
I received an email stating that I had successfully transferred money to this unknown entity. I did not do that and told them that. I was appalled and angry that this could happen. I told them I had not authorized any such transfer of currency to anyone. When I logged into my account after having received the email, I was shocked to see that it had been depleted leaving $131. Over $1, 400 had been taken. I locked the account immediately and attempted to call them. The first time, a recording told me the wait time was 30 minutes. So, I clicked for a different department to speak to a live person. All he told me was that he couldn't tell me if I would get my money back or not and to send identity verifying documents to them to unlock my account. I can provide the bogus email he sent me. I emailed back saying that I would not send them pictures of my ID or anything else until I am ready to take my few dollars out. These people are worthless.
Why in the world are there no safeguards in place to prevent this from happening? I read that a number of other investors have lost much more than I have and got no satisfaction from these people. I can't afford for money to be stolen. If banks can/will replace unauthorized loss of funds, why can't these people do the same?
They are scammers I believe. I should have taken my money out when I thought about it originally. I want everyone to be wary of Coinbase. There is no resolution with these people unless the government steps in and does something. I want my money back NOW! I will withdraw it and stay away from them.
Desired outcome: Refund of my stolen funds
Coinbase account access - authenticator code requested when no setup had previously been provided.
I have had CoinBase for nearly 9 months without issue. I have a significant amount of money in my account. Last week I tried to use my app to access my account as well as my web login. In both cases it said i could not login without a code from my authenticator. The issue is that in order get a code from an authenticator CoinBase would first have to give me a QR Code or a Setup code. Neither has ever been provided so asking for the code for access out of the blue made no sense.
Unable to reach a live person, I submitted to their online account unlocking procedure. That was last Thursday morning, it has now been 5 days and I have yet to hear from CoinBase except for the email I got at the submission stating that it would take 24-48 hours.
How can a company holding so much money belonging to so many people not have a method of speaking to a live person. This is dangerous on many levels.
Desired outcome: I want my access restored as the access loss was due to an error in the CoinBase System
Coinbase visa card incompetent support
I had a valid charge declined for no reason and when I contacted their support all they did was send me unrelated canned responses. I am truly astounded by their utter calloused incompetence.
I don't know if they don't speak English or are just too lazy to bother reading my emails. It is scary to run up against such a wall of incompetence. Their phone support hung up on me and now won't answer.
Something is VERY wrong at Coinbase.
Desired outcome: Fire the calloused incompetent staff.
Identity verification
Identity verification in order to enable all account features has been a complete pain and the responses from Coinbase support an absolute joke.
My full name is exceedingly long (two first names and four surnames) and I have to use a shortened version in some documents for the sanity of everyone involved. Coinbase's systems threw a fit every time I tried go through automated authentication and I had to open several support tickets to get that sorted. Several of those tickets were closed with just a canned response and without confirming whether the issue was resolved.
After the issue was seemingly resolved, it turns out that I need to go through the same verification again in order to register for the Coinbase Earn program.
Not only is the system rejecting all my verification attempts AGAIN, but the support team keeps closing all tickets with yet more canned responses or no reply at all. I meet all the eligibility requirements for the program as stated on their site and this behavior is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: Verification properly cleared. Improvement of the automated process so this will not be repeated.
Opening shib pricing 74% above true price
Coinbase states that it does not set the pricing of any Crypto asset, but they actually did. The true market price of SHIB was $0.[protected], yet Coinbase priced the asset at $0.00001. At the very same time, they limited the supply of SHIB on their platform by stopping SHIB deposits. By allowing full trading on a limited supply it caused an artificial 900% gain in the asset. If you tried to sell, they suddenly had connection issues. They allowed this to continue for a full 24 hours before allowing the price to return to the real market price. Customers, including myself, lost 85%-95% of their investment instantly. Their "Customer Support" offered ZERO help and repeatedly sent me the "User Agreement", which does not at all cover this topic. I have already gathered a large number of customers who were impacted by this.
Desired outcome: We want the original Amount invested in SHIB returned to us.
Can get into my account
I have complained at least 70 emails to your company, you have locked me out of my account and it has been 2 months. I need this account open to see what I have, and also I need the money. I have my 50th Wedding Anniversary coming up and wanted to look nice. I get as far as 2 step verification and never receive the emial from you guys. I need quick action here. I am tired of dealing wit this.
Thanks You

Conversions on coinbase website
Earlier today at 9:50 p.m. I went to convert my cryptocurrency from algorand to a cryptocurrency called Dash it gave me a preview of the transaction saying that my $177 of algorand would be $178.34 once converted to Dash after it did the conversion my account went down to $173.10 my discrepancy is how did I lose $5 on a free conversion cryptocurrency that's done immediately so there's no wait. When I went back in to check and see what happened that's when I became confused because the transaction is listed in three different spots that I know of and all three receipts of that transaction are time stamped at 9:50 p.m. and even still when I go back in to look at them there's different monetary for my cryptocurrency as far as I know you should never change period Because it's technically a receipt of my transaction they ranged from $173.10 to $175.43
Desired outcome: To have my money back and withdrawn from then without having to play then a fee(they got enough money from me)
Unauthorized withdrawal of money
Coinbase withdrew approximately $15, 000 on 18MAY21 after locking my account for 10 days. After many emails and complaints they returned on $6, 000. There is NO Customer Service and you cannot reply to their responses.
They deleted all transaction history during that time frame. I have files several complaints.

Trading AMP
This post explains my horrible experience and is meant to inform people about how easy it is to lose money using Coinbase services trading Crypto.
I have brought the issue up with Coinbase representatives in the past month, and after several inquiries, I still have not heard back from them. The app, Coinbase, is faulty and is set up for investors to lose their money quickly. I am adding pictures as proof of my claims to such transactions accruing. Also, to reveal how other, more ethical apps such as Robinhood handle such circumstances. Moreover, This post tells my experience solely, as I have no affiliation with any mentioned parties.
One day after work, I was sitting outside while I decided to buy some AMP Crypto on the Coinbase app; the price that day was $0.10; I set a limit order to buy $500 AMP at $.090, at least so I thought. After submitting the order, I got a notification instantly that my order had been filled! I knew something was wrong, so I checked the receipt from Coinbase right away, and I found that I entered the price at $.90 instead! I was in a state of shock; I wanted to fix the problems, so I thought it would bring my average cost down if I bought more! I put another order then; again, the same thing happened when I missed one zero after the decimal point; I know it!
I reached out to Coinbase and informed them of such transactions occurring and how. I went on other apps and sought to resolve what would happen if you entered a limit order to buy, exceedingly over the market price.
I have shown in the attached pictures in this post an example of the app Robinhood. Robinhood app caught the mistake right away and informed me of it, while Coinbase did not!
Again, I reached out to Coinbase and explained the faultiness of their business setup, and they chose to ignore me still some more!
The receipt from Coinbase, which I screenshotted and included in this post, shows that Coinbase bought the AMP at the market price of $ 0.10 and kept the extra AMP Crypto bought with my money and gave me a fraction, in addition to taking out fees!
I wonder how many times a day this occurs as people lose hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in Coinbase in a split of a second and may not even realize they have.
Desired outcome: Pay me back my AMP's
Account access
I have been unable to regain access to my account since January 2021 and no one has been able to assist me in coinbase. The coinbase support team are the worst ever and so unprofessional it is shocking.
My account was disabled bcuz Coinbase randomly took out 600$
My account was frozen and then disabled May 21 because I had three transactions of $200 . My bank told me the account number and the bank that took the money out and it was Coinbase that took it out so Coinbase took my money and then disabled my own account I tried emailing support and I keep getting a reply saying a specialist will be in touch in 3 to 5 business days while it's being reviewed I've been seeing this reply for the past three weeks going on for weeks. I cannot get into my account and no one will reply back Or let me get my funds and in the policy it says that even though the account is disabled or frozen I can still have get access to my money to have it withdrawn to my bank account. The next step is taking legal action even though I don't want to go through with this but if I have to, so be it
Desired outcome: Getting my money back to send it elsewhere
Password reset caused the disappearance of my existing $1000 account
Coinbase password reset caused the disappearance of my existing $1000 account, the creation of a new account, and the requests for bank and ID information. I avoided giving and more information. Instead, I filed a complaint with Coinbase, but there is no reply nor customer support.
I created the account over a month ago and purchased crytpos (ADA and Matrix) for $1000. The I-phone app worked fine until July 10, 2021, when Coinbase gave me a new sign-in page instead of loading to my original account page. My password didn't work. When I used my email address to reset the password, a new account with no money appeared. This new account wants my banking and ID information again. I can't reach Coinbase by phone, nor have they responded to my online complaint.
I filed an online complaint on the Coinbase website, since there are no human customer support phone numbers. Even the online customer support is robotic/automated. Some entity received my emails because I received the complaint confirmation email below:
Hello,
Thanks for submitting your request to Coinbase Support. We're here to help and will be in touch as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can find answers to many of your questions by visiting our Help Center Regards, Coinbase Support.
I still have not received a message from Coinbase, so I filed a complaint with the SEC.
Desired outcome: Return funds
Withdrawal of funds
On July 1st, I got 3 different contacts originating from Instagram. One of the 3 claimed to be Elon Musk. I did not believe him. He did a Facetime call (I assume it was a hologram). This person started telling me about Bitcoin. I researched on my own. I did not send money to him. I sent it to Coinbase. The guy was a scam, but I didn't think Coinbase would be so ineffective in correcting this issue. I desperately need my money back. They are just sending e-mails that say they're working on it, they're so busy, all that jazz. Okay...I have PTSD from the building collapsing near my home, we have come out of a pandemic with crime on the rise. Coinbase has my $1500. I want my $1500. I do not want to recreate an account. I've reported to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. They make it impossible to validate anything they request, i.e. driver license. I have informed my bank, revoked all permissions, had the account deactivated. I NEED MY MONEY. I had a dream I might make some money and now they have given me nothing and are holding my $1500 and they are supposed to be a legitimate company. At 1 a.m. this morning someone from somewhere was trying to get into my account and I got the verification code on my phone. I didn't request it. I was sleeping at 1 a.m. Please ... this is certainly criminal.
Desired outcome: Just my $1500 back to me
Coinbase
I had an account started with 500$. It went up it went down. Last check, maybe 6 days ago it was about 495$. Went there yesterday and my password didn't work. I followed all their rules about getting a new password, changing my password, all it does is open a new account with zero balance. I wrote to them and they do nothing. I see over 100 people have this same ( more or less) problem. I'll be lucky to see that money again. We need a class action suit. This company is run by a crook.
Desired outcome: Money back
Unable to access my account
My email was hacked and I started getting calls from a Coinbase purpotrator claiming I needed to give access to my account. So I deactivated my Coinbase account because my password no longer worked! My email account associated with my Coinbase account had to be absolved because of identity theft. Now all attempts to contact Coinbase only include verification via my hacked email which I no longer have access to. Coinbase leaves me hanging. I can't talk to a live person. I can't follow any online option because they only recognize me through my hacked hotmail account and It has been closed. Every attempt to file a help ticket is for naught. I have even tried the BBB complaint system but no one calls me.
Desired outcome: Access my Coinbase funds and withdraw them
