Colony Brands I read these reviews and I get why people are upset

I read these reviews and I get why people are upset. This pandemic has been stressful enough without having Montgomery Wards take away the interest-free period many of us relied on in paying down the credit balance when losing jobs. I had two jobs and lost one indefinitely so my income is reduced and I am on a fixed income. I am a senior as well. When the pandemic hit I was without income for almost 4 months until I could get PUA unemployment for about 3 months. I was able to get all caught up on rent and bills until being forced to go back to work in July. Many had quit and I was very afraid I would be fired if I didn't. It is a PT job and Montgomery Ward has been charging over $40 in interest on my $100 payments, This is impacting my quality of life as I can not keep doing this for another year or more. When I called the credit department I was told it was their policy and it would not change. Cold, uncaring scripted reply. I have gone with groceries the week I have to pay this bill and I am often late waiting for a paycheck. I am very discouraged at how they are handling this crisis.

These people are FRAUDS! I sent two payments $176.27, and 68.30 and they are NOWHERE on my statements except as charges, NOT payments! I give them a minus 10! They need to be PUT OUT OF BUSINESS! Instead of finding what happened to my payments, they are too busy trying to ruin my credit!

File complaint; have paid in full information. Ordered items from said company, decided to return. Was charged exorbitant shipping cost to return. Calculated what felt was fair, sent check marked PAID IN FULL and this check clearly marked Paid in Full was deposited. Since that time numerous statements have been received from the company to pay small balance of approximately 19.00-20.00 (interest is added on by the company). I have written letters stating the above check as deposited w/Paid In Full clearly marked. The company now has seen it necessary to report this SMALL balance to existing credit reporting companies which has down graded my credit standing considerably. This is upsetting as my credit has been in the high ratings and this small, unnecessary and paid amount should be immediately taken off any credit record. I will appreciate your seeing to this company being made aware and their accounting department correcting and removing any such charge from my record. In view of MANY other complaints, it seems this would be a small consideration. Thank you! P. S. I have asked them to send no more catalogs and remove email address. To date they have done neither. Someone drops the ball in this company consistently!

This is absurd. I ordered 120.00 of merchandise. returned it promptly, and still get bills. I filed a complaint and have been on the phone only to be transferred to the billing dept, then the credit dept, then the cust service dept, and again back to billing dept. only to have differenct amounts each time i spoke to a person. everytime they told me a differnct amount owed for shipping, for returning, for ordering, for late fee, for what ever fee, they will not stop billing me and insisting i we money to them. yet i returned the merchandise. crazy, and do you think i am ever goingto orderfrom them in the near future. heck no no no.. beware with this company, it is agaonizing to return something and get out of their billing cycle.

Colony Brands I think I have been scamed by this company

I think I have been scamed by this company. I ordered an item from this company that did not live up to the advertisement. I returned the item the same day and received a bill for $34.95. After contacting the company verifying I returned the Item I was told the bill is for a service fee. What service? I don't have merchandise. After receiving yet another bill with interest, I decided to pay the bill in April just to get rid of this headach. 2 months later I received another bill. I called and was told they never received my check. Although every other check I wrote was cashed. I told them to look for the check and it has not been returned. I received another bill with interest. I sent another check and got a tracking number costing me $36.00. Nevermind I still don't have their merchandise. I called the company 4 times telling them to close this account. Yesterday I called and was told the account is closed but I still have a $400 credit limit. How can that be if the account is closed. I have never had such a horrible experice while ordering from a magazine. I want my name and the supposed closed account disassociated with this company. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHRO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED.

I have just recently placed orders with 7th Avenue which is a sister company under the Colony Brands. I have to say that I am very impressed with how quickly I received my merchandise. Although admittedly, that could be partly due to where I live. Anyway, the customer service that I received was what I expected, knowledgeable and friendly. I have had zero difficulties with customer service or in receiving what I ordered, in a timely manner.

I am receiving merchandise from Montgomery Ward in Monroe, WI, which I did not order. I am afraid to call the phone on the enclosed invoice, as that may further the scam. I will call their toll free number during business hours on Monday to see what response I get. Either I am being scammed even though the merchandise is enclosed, or someone is ordering stuff for me as a prank.

Montgomery Ward, Seventh Avenue, Ginnys, and Colony are all scam artists. My account was set up for automatic payments and yes the card was good! Yes, the money was there. Ginnys did not take the payment, charged me a $15.00 late charge and reported it to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Please, do not do business with them, because they will ruin your good credit!

At Christmas 2020 I ordered a few things for my sister from Swiss colony. Payments were to begin in March according to their advertisement. At the end of Feburary I received my 1st bill with a due date of 3/10/22. On 3/1 I mail all bills. On around the 6th of March I received a call from swiss colony wanting to know when I would make a payment. I told them I had sent them a check and they asked when I mailed it. I told them and they said they had not received it yet.but that the mail may not have gotten it to them yet. I told them that if they did not get it to call me back. On the 15th they called again. I told them I would check with the bank and get back to them.i check with the bank and it had not come in yet. I called them and made a payment by phone. On the 17th I was looking at my email and saw where the credit bureaus contacted me to notify me that my FICA score were drastically lowered. When I looked at them it said that swiss colony reported that I was 30 days late but I wasn't. I called them and they said they sent me a bill in February. I explained that the first bill I got was at the end of February with a due date of 3/10. I went ahead and paid the full balance of the account. I have called Transunion and filed a dispute. They have really caused alot of undue stress on me. These people need to be put out of business for lying and putting undue hardship on honest people.

Colony Brands I recently placed an order with Seventh Avenue on April 25

I recently placed an order with Seventh Avenue on April 25. I typed in my sister's PO Box address where it needed to be sent to. I did not receive an order confirmation until today (April 27) so I was unable to check the details of my order and I found it odd not to get a confirmation right away. I also received a shipping confirmation today as well. I noticed that they had an old address that my sister used to live at for the order to be shipped to (It must have been from a previous order that I had placed.). I called them and talked to them about this and they told me that since it was already shipped that they couldn't do anything about it. I told them that they made the error and that I wanted my money back. They refused to refund me or help me so I got upset with the representative and she ended up hanging up on me. I called back and got the issue resolved eventually and I hope my sister will receive her order. If not I will be making a complaint. I went on their website once again after this happened and noticed that there were no options for the address I wanted it sent to. I had to type it in. I know where I wanted it sent to and it was an error on their part that they didn't want to admit to.

I ordered something and paid 80 dollars for next day delivery and it took over two weeks for the item to get here. I contacted FedEx and they told me that I need to talk to colony brands to get the refund. I have tried reaching the customer service through phone calls and emails and never hear back. This place is a scam. I am out 80 dollars and will never go through Colony Brands again.

I placed an order on Dec 7 for $150 worth of Christmas gifts. I received a confirmation email on the 11th, then via mail, they let me know on Dec 22 that there was a problem with my order. In order to still get my order delivered by Christmas, they said that they needed an additional $25. I've been a customer for over 15 years was was treated poorly by three separate people there.

Colony Brands Rate -0 .This is the WORST company to order from

Rate -0 .This is the WORST company to order from. I placed an order for three items totaling $178.00 which included a shipping/handling fee of $21.99. Returned two items using the return label that came with the order. Looked at my account online and I am being charged $7.95 for returning those items. The item I kept was $29.99. My balance shows $61.61. I was told I still had to pay the $21.99 shipping and the $7.95 return fee. The math does not add up. When I called customer service, the Hispanic male was rude, talked over me, stating "did you think you would not pay for returning those items" when I asked about the return shipping charges. I was asked to be transferred to a manager. The manager Mallory acted as if she could not hear me and hung up. Needless to say, this company has the worst customer service representatives and the quality of the clothing items are even less than desirable.. I will return the item I kept and will get full credit for everything or I will file a complaint with the complaintsboard.com. If you receive catalogs from Ginny's. Midnight Velvet, Country Door, Seventh Avenue, Swiss Colony, The Tinder Filet, or The Wisconsin Cheeseman, they are all affiliated with the Colony Brand. Do not stop but run away. Colony Brands This company doesnt provide full details to what you're purchasing from their website

This company doesnt provide full details to what you're purchasing from their website. I ordered a countertop painting kit which was double the price of what I'd seen elsewhere, but went ahead and did it bc I figured perhaps it was superior somehow. Well. It was the exact same kit. I could have ordered from the manufacturer for $80 but instead they charge $130. AND THEY REFUSE TO PRICE MATCH. They take no accountability for the fact that they do not provide full details of what you're purchasing, and it's just wrong. They shouldn't be allowed to not tell people what they're buying and then charge way more than anywhere else does. Idk how they justify this in their company, but it is truly a poor business practice. They lack integrity and dont take accountability. They also dont let you leave honest reviews about these things on their website, they delete them. They dont let you review them anywhere so here I am, blasting them on the Complaintsboard.com website bc they have left me no choice. If they had been upfront about what I was buying initially it would be one thing, but instead they dont mention the brand anywhere and when you get it in the mail you just get a surprise that you laid double what you would have if you had gone to lowes, amazon, or even the manufacturers website itself.

Colony Brands I enrolled in automatic payments with Midnight Velvet

I enrolled in automatic payments with Midnight Velvet. When the card on file expired I updated it as per the directions on their site. After a bit I got a past due notice, I discarded it because I thought it was taking a bit of time for them to update their records - fairly normal these days. When I got the second notice I got concerned and called. They told me everything was fine and that no payment was necessary. Cut to today: I've been charged interest and late fees since May. Come to find out that users are required to cancel and re-enroll in automatic payments when their card expires. It has nothing to that effect on the website. It just asked me to update my card's expiration date which I promptly did. I asked them to reverse all the fees since it was their mistake and they told me that the card that they have on file expired in 2019. The screen clearly shows that my automatic payment credit card expires in 2022. They refused to help me further. They also took no responsibility for the mistake nor did they take steps to correct it for the future to my knowledge. I've written this on most of my social media networks and I will continue to do so until there's a change. It's really a sad day when a company that's been in business as long as they have chooses, consciously chooses, to dupe the customer in an age old bait and switch. All for measly $15 late fee.

Colony Brands After reading all of the 1-star reviews, because zero stars is not an option, I no longer feel alone in my disgust with this company

After reading all of the 1-star reviews, because zero stars is not an option, I no longer feel alone in my disgust with this company. In 2013, my husband and I opened an account with the Montgomery Ward division of Colony Brands with a $500 limit. We bought one item - one - a sort of sofa whose legs were not properly aligned and never laid flat on the floor. It would have been too much of a hassle to set such a large item back so we kept it, with no offer from the company for a solution of any kind. We still owed the money, and we fought with them against the charges for a defective item. What happened? They reported us as owing $90 to them because they claim we missed a payment, even though we were arguing over this sofa. This year, my husband passed away. Does that matter to Montgomery Ward? NOPE. They're still looking for the $485 for that sofa, and it's still on my credit report. I called to ask about taking care of this, as enough is enough. They said I had to put my request in writing - they don't do anything online (bc it's only 2021, you know). So I did. They offered a pittance of a reduction in the settlement (20% 'off'). I accepted (just to get this out of my life) and before I had the chance to set in the cashier's check, they reported my account as a charge-off - SIX YEARS after the fact. It just dropped my score 30 points. They agreed to report the account as paid in full and done with. Nothing was every discussed or written about a charge-off and to do that after all this time, never mind everything else. I'm worried about sending in my cashier's check bc I don't know if they will update my credit reports ethically, especially when nothing about them and the way they conduct their business is ethical. "

Colony Brands While the products were always delicious, and I typically received what I ordered, I will never again purchase anything from The Swiss Colony

While the products were always delicious, and I typically received what I ordered, I will never again purchase anything from The Swiss Colony. Only once did I not receive something purchased, and when I called to report this, a very helpful representative corrected this with me. When I received the corrected order, I realized that I received what was needed and an additional item that I had already received. I called back and spoke with another helpful representative to report this error, and she indicated that I could donate it or just simply keep it. I informed her that I truly appreciated this but wanted to pay for it as I would end up using it as another Christmas gift. Months later, I received a credit card statement from Swiss Colony. I called to report that I owed no money and to inform of my dismay that a credit account would be started without my approval. It was my belief that the small amount for the one extra item was payed on that prior phone call. I was informed by the very nice gentleman that the credit account was closed. I then received another bill and was told that a supervisor would call me. This never happened. Upon receipt of another bill, I called and was helped on the finance side where it was discovered that I did owe the money on the extra item. (I double checked my bank account and this extra charge was never collected.) I paid the original amount but refused to pay the finance charges that were being tacked on after the original credit bill, as I called the moment I received the bill, believed I owed nothing, and was told the account was closed. I requested and received the finance charges removed with two extra phone calls to ensure this was done, as I was told to verify this and that the account that I never approved of was closed. My trust was lost with them opening a credit account without my approval, rather than just billing me. It was a true hassle to continue to talk to different staff and get slightly, and at first largely, different answers. Only once did any representative upset me and that was when I was told that I should have just taken the free merchandise. I explained that I was trying to do the right thing.

Colony Brands This company may be fraudulently opening credit accounts without authorization!

This company may be fraudulently opening credit accounts without authorization! I am not a customer of theirs, however, my little girls received a gift basket from a family member for Easter from *** Cheeseman. Days later, my little girls received a *** in their names, with a credit line opened in their names. It was suggested by an employee of the company that my kids fraudulently opened an account online. Then, once I contacted the sender of the gift, learned she opened an account herself, and sent the girls a basket. We spoke to the company on the same line, the sender of the gift paid the amount due, and we told the company there was no reason my kids should or could have had an account open in their names, they are 13 and 7 years old. A month later, while going through a loan process for a house, I was notified that a credit hard pull was run against ME through *** cheeseman. The account that was opened in the girls names, were opened by someone running a credit check on ME. My name was nowhere on the account. No one had received my authorization to run a credit check on me. I had to once again contact the company, and learned the girls *** had a credit line open under their names. Since my recent call, they said they closed the account, that my kids could have never opened...as they are under 21. They also said they will be working to remove the credit pulled under my name. The concern is that this could easily happen to someone else. I have spent *** over the last few months working on this...and thought it was rectified when I originally called. I am extremely frustrated over this. This company should be held liable for accounts being opened under kids names, who are too young to open accounts, (and if they tried to run a credit report under their names, when they couldnt find credit histories on them, the company should have flagged the account and stopped there). There is no reason I should have had my credit pulled, and no reason my kids should have had an account opened. There should have been red flags if it was user error online. It should have never gone this far. Im concerned it could be internal fraud taking place, but I feel Im not being heard about it.

Colony Brands This company allows any person to go online and create an account by making a purchase, using anyone's personal information

This company allows any person to go online and create an account by making a purchase, using anyone's personal information. My mother ordered a Valentines gift for me and accidentally entered my information in the billing section. Once she realized her error she contacted The Swiss Colony via phone to correct because she has an account with this company. The company representative told my mother the issue would be resolved and the cost of the items would be transferred to her account. Two weeks later after receiving my gift I receive a bill in the mail in my name for my gift. My mother then contacts the company and asks to speak with a supervisor who tells her she did not call to fix the situation but she needs to send a notarized letter to correct the bill. She tries to explain that this issue should've been fixed the day the order was made. The supervisor whose name is Ryan was being very nasty so I got on the phone to speak with him. I asked him, how is it possible for any person to create an account using just a first, last name and address without some type of verification procedure. He proceeded to tell me that I knew about the purchase therefore the only way this could be corrected was with a notarized letter. Because he was so nasty I asked to speak with another supervisor and was transferred to Jennifer who was a complete gem. She closed the account that was mistakenly opened in my name and explained what my mother needed to do to correct this situation. Companies like this allow people to commit fraud because they do not have proper verification procedures in place. Ryan should be fired because hes a nasty human being. Jennifer should be rewarded because she had excellent customer service skills. I will never accept anything from this company ever again. This is the 1st time I ever heard of this company and it is a disaster. From what was explained to me this always happens and they just open a fraud claim in regards. People should not be given the run around and the fact that previous customer service inquiries cannot be tracked is a problem all in itself. The p hi one calls are recorded so I do believe Ryan was lying when he said there was no way to go back to the initial customer service call when my mother attempted to correct this issue. Please do not purchase from this company. There are far more better companies with better customer service who care about the customer. This is how identity theft and fraud occurs, when companies do not care about anything except creating credit accounts to get money from anyone. Also this business is not Better Business Accredited so that is a problem all in itself.

Colony Brands If I could give a company a zero on this rating system I would, as Country Door doesn't deserve any stars for a variety of reasons

If I could give a company a zero on this rating system I would, as Country Door doesn't deserve any stars for a variety of reasons. Let me first say I don't usually give negative feedback because I realize all customers experiences are different and somethings just happen, but in this case what Country Door is doing is flirting with criminal and I'm going to report it beyond Complaintsboard.com. TLDR: My mom sent me a gift box for a recent holiday and I recieved it, no real issue, but then 3 weeks later I had a bill, opened in my name with a $1,450 line of credit and a $49 bill for the month. I know what many may think, I must have done something BUT I did NOT. I watch my credit like a hawk and have a very good rating and would not open anything new (haven't in many years on purpose), and somehow, without me giving an SSN or information over the phone or information in any way, I coincidentally have an account with my info and address on it and not even sure what was purchased? To take this a step further after finally talking with a customer service representative, they chalked it up to identity theft and want me to fill out forms from IdentityTheft.gov and send those forms in to them. Anyone in their right mind would know that me suddenly having a credit line with a company I just happened to get a gift from 3 weeks prior AND the identity thief only scamming a $49 item with a $1,450 credit line, IS NOT identity theft. I get the impression that the customer service team gets this issue often and it is some undermining and criminal way for Country Door to get more business or accounts out there. They probably think if it's enough of a hassle people will just call and complain but not do anything about it, but this will not be the case for me. They could see that my mother had an account in the system and it was a different number and a different amount owed (because the gift she sent me was $20 cheaper than what I'm owning for something?) So, in addition to me filing this with the IdentityTheft.gov, they want my mother and I to send a notarized letter stating that she still has an existing account and did not open something in my name, more hoops to jump through to get you to just give up on this. I realize there could be a flip side to this in general, that this isn't really a bill and there was never really anything set up in my name with SSN. But it looks pretty legit, and could be a way to get me confirming I shouldn't be in the system because I never did it AND then having my info. Hard to believe though because they are a real catalogue company, so I think it's just a common and convenient mistake they make. Furthermore if you look here on Complaintsboard.com at their rating without looking at the "accredited" ones, they appear as an A+ company - total bogus self reviews most likely. But when you filter to "Complaintsboard.com Accredited" they show up as a Customer Review Rating or 1.13 starts out of 5. Overall I don't advise anyone to ever use this company and ask friends and family not to send you anything for fear of the system updating to start an account for you.

This Company is the worst. They have plummeted me in a year long stress induced disaster. I ordered a product in June. Did not receive confirmation of shipment. Contacted the company about my order. At first they did not know of my order, took forever to figure out that I had placed an order. Found my order and then told me that the item was back ordered. They said the item would not be available until December. I told them to cancel my order, received a confirmation number of that. On November 24th I received an email stating that they shipped the item (that I cancelled) to an address that the gift recipient no longer lives. I called them right away to explain to them that I had canceled that order months ago, they shipped it anyway without my approval. The intended recipient never received it as if she no longer lives at the address. They could not for whatever reason, figure out how to make it right. After several calls and promising that the issue was taken care of. I was forced to dispute it with my credit card. Once that happened I didn't hear anything from them for a while then I received a letter stating I still owed a ***. I called again wasting hours of my time doing this whole entire process, and again told me that they had it resolved. Received another confirmation number to that effect. I received another letter stating I did not pay them. So I called again this is now almost a year later and they said I owed them the money for the amount of the item that should have never been shipped. Now I'm furious they're no help. Finally they disclosed to me that they had credited my account after, months after, My credit card disputed the charge. That I owed them this money because they paid me plus I received a credit. An accountant error. They should have never done any of this. They have cost me time energy stress anxiety high blood pressure you name it I've experienced it. The last letter they sent me was from their internal collections department. I pay my bills on time therefore this caused me much stress. They forced me to pay them again, in fairness, pay them for the credit that they sent me that they were not supposed to send me. However I do not feel like I was treated fairly I was completely ignored. My frustrations, my anxiety, and my stress, my time meant nothing to them. They created this problem they made me fix it. I should not have to clean up the mess of a corporation. I DON'T WORK *** YOU! I'm an individual I should be treated with respect my time should be respected. The manager ***, the last person I spoke with was very considerate even though I was very angry. And I have to give her credit for handling my frustrations as well as she could. However they offered me no resolution, no compensation for my time and my energy and they offered me nothing but a coupon for a company I will NEVER purchase from again. They kept saying I owed a *** that I did not owe they made me feel like a delinquent when I did not owe them any money for the product. They were not clear with what they were saying to me and I just felt like they were trying to get money for something that I should I did not have to pay for. The letter never stated the accountant made a mistake in crediting me the money, and they never treated me anything other than a delinquent customer. I do not appreciate that and I refuse to be satisfied with how they handled the situation. I should be compensated. I should not have to clean up their mess. I'm still very angry and very frustrated, do not do business with these people. If you know what's good for you. It's truly not worth it.I have more *** hair, high blood pressure and a headache! Unacceptable behavior from a company. The one star, since I have to give it, is for ***. She at least apologized and understood. Not good enough, however. I really feel disrespected and hours upon hours of my time wasted. Shame on you, for putting me through this, MW. "

Colony Brands 2 weeks ago, we received popcorn from Swiss Colony as a gift with a Swiss Colony generated shipping label.

Two weeks ago, we received popcorn from Swiss Colony as a gift. It came with a shipping label and a letter stating a charge was declined. We contacted Swiss Colony, clarifying we didn't open an account and were just recipients. They assured us no payment was due. Later, a letter claimed we owed $3.89. Contacting them again, we were shuffled between departments, each denying knowledge of the sender. They requested a notarized letter from the sender to resolve the issue, which we felt was inappropriate for us to handle as recipients. As of March 30th, we received a statement demanding payment by April 20th or face a late fee.

I received a package from a company called Seventh Avenue with an item I did not order. On the outside of the shipping label it says "A Gift From:" but it does not provide a name of who the gift is from. I have never heard of this company and have not ordered anything from them. On the packing slip, it stated that I owe a balance of $37.07 for the item and shipping. I tried calling the company to find out about how to return it and could not reach a real person. I have seen comments online related to this company that others have experienced this and either get a runaround when trying to return the item, or they start receiving large invoices for items they never ordered. We did not order this item, do not want the item, and do not want to pay a shipping cost to have it returned.

I received a notice that I have a collection from MONTGOMERY WARD on my credit report. It says it was opened on Dec 07, 2012 for $879 with an account number that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never engaged in any transactions with this company or entered into any agreements with them, so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I would like for this collection to be removed as soon as possible or I will file a report with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.

I ordered 15 items from Montgomery Ward Company on December 14, 2022. Seven items, including four perfumes, a seven-piece jasmine bath wash set, and one hand-held heated de-icer scraper, were delivered on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 3:08 pm. The delivery person handed the box to someone in the office of my mother's senior citizens building. The person signed for it, but Montgomery Ward stated they could not read the signature. Subsequently, they refused to reimburse me for the perfumes, the bath wash set, and the de-icer. Each of the four perfumes cost between $59.99 and $69.99. As a result, I lost all my money and never received the seven items I purchased for my elderly mother. Montgomery Ward won't reship the items or refund my money. Having ordered many items from this company over the years, I am deeply disappointed and will never order from them again.

Colony Brands I bought 1 item from swiss colony

I bought 1 item from swiss colony. All 3 of their shipping options said $0.00. Every shipping option saying $0.00 seemed to be unusual, but I continued. When I made the purchase it came to a total of $23 and change(shipping included). My purchase was $27.99 with a 15% off code and no cost for shipping. After the purchase, like all online shopping, they said they sent a confirmation email. I minimized my confirmation screen, to check my email. They did not send an email. I checked my spam email. Nothing. So I went back and opened my swiss colony window to copy my confirmation information. Unfortunately that page had a please refresh page and my original purchase page was lost. I got a bad feeling and continued to check my email for hours. This order was made on Friday the 17th of December at about 6pm. I finally went to sleep. The next morning I checked my email right away. They sent me a confirmation email at 2 am. I was shocked to see my total at almost $49.00! They charged me $24.99 for shipping! I tried calling them, of course they don't have anyone working on weekends. So I immediately wrote an email to the company yesterday, the morning of Dec. 18th. I wrote out everything, I'm now writing here. They are incompetent and refuse to credit the shipping portion. They said the only thing I could do, is donate the food item I purchased, to a shelter. Then get proof from the shelter. Then I'm supposed to send pictures back to them, showing that I did everything they said. Then they would give me an "appropriate" refund. I cannot be the only person that this has happened to. I really wish I had read the other reviews before buying. I would never pay $25 for shipping. Ever. Their website either messed up, or they are just scamming people. I've written them 2 times and both times they flat out refuse to refund the shipping portion. I'm so frustrated and stressed out, by their customer service.

May 2 2022. I looked at my credit report & it showed Ginnys, but I paid Ginnys off in 2020 only used once in 2020. I Have not used card since. No reason should be showing up on credit and they also noted I was delinquent but I paid them right off in 2020 and dont owe them anything.

A company under Colony Brands called Ginnys fraudulently opened a credit account in my name. I had not heard of Colony Brands/Ginnys, I have not purchased merchandise from them, and I did not authorize them to open a credit account. I have never received a bill, catalog or any mail correspondence at my home from Colony Brands or Ginnys. This fraudulent account is negatively impacting my credit score. I have disputed the account with Experian. Please advise.

I recently checked my credit report and found that a credit card issued by Ginnys was fraudulently set up in my name on July 29, 2022. It shows an unpaid balance. I reported this to Experian. Ginnys looks to be related to Colony Brands. I have never heard of *** and never set up an account with them. This is clearly fraud. I just want this account cleared by the three credit agencies as its impacted my credit score.

Last Christmas 2021 I ordered from *** Colony and after several attempts to place an order on credit and then offered to pay for it completely up front. They refused to process the order. A similar situation happened this year 2022 except this year I was able to pay for my order but not able to use their credit. They finally told me it was because there is a fraud alert on my account. I told them I placed that myself and they needed to verify my identity. No one knows how to do this nor do they know who to contact in order to do this.

I have contacted the company directly via phone 5 different times and via email once, and STILL they promise to resolve the issue, but do not. Original order #*** had a Mini Birthday Petit for to be delivered to *** as a gift. The item got stuck in transit and didnt move for 5-6 days. Its still stuck as far as I can tell from the tracking information. I called to report this, and they agreed to send another delivery. I received a new order number #***. But when I received the shipping notification, I noticed that they were sending this shipment to me instead of to the original address provided for *** I called again and got met with the rudest supervisor known to man who was more interested in arguing about the difference in the 2 order numbers then resolving any issue. I was already upset that the birthday had come and gone and the gift was already ruined and they just kept making it worse, and then to be yelled at by this lady. I wish I had gotten her name. I called back and got someone much nicer and she was very helpful; and told me to donate the order coming to me and they would resend the shipment to *** again; however, this was 6 days ago, and the new order to finally go to *** has never been made and never been shipped out as have I received the order confirmation and there is no record of it on my account. She assured me this was being rectified, but there is no listing of it on my account and no email notification that the new order has been placed and is in route. They just kept my payment for this item, and the shipping cost, and never provided the item to the correct address provided. I followed up again and no one will do anything because they say the 2nd order was delivered as ordered. NO IT WASN'T. It was never supposed to be shipped to me and the original order confirms this. I want a refund of the item and its shipping costs that I was charged.

I ordered my product in on 11/05 at before 10 PM. At 11:12 PM I got a confirmation email. Prior to this confirmation email I was trying to cancel the order. I emailed customer service at *** PM before I received the order acknowledgment to cancel the order. Previously to reaching out I searched their website on how to cancel an order. Per their own website they said you can go to order status to cancel. I searched through and could not locate any information on canceling the order. So the second option was to reach out so I did. Upon reaching out At 11:00 pm on Monday I received an email at 9 AM on Tuesday telling me my order shipped so they could not cancel. The order status at this time was still at preparing orders and the the tracking label was not printed until 1 PM later in the day. Their own instructions advise that there are cancellation button on the order screen which is a lie. There were not any. This company makes it seem like cancelling is an option however they do not allow it. They should be force to change their FAQ to state that cancellations are not allowed which would have been better to read then allowing a false narrative to be created. On top of that I had customer service reps that lied to me telling me that my order had shipped in less than 8 business hours and no tracking is so there was no way it was picked up a carrier at that point.

I ordered and purchased a chair on May 12, 2022. The chair was delivered on May 17; however, the parts required for assembly were not included in the box. Initially, they informed me that the parts would be shipped separately, but later, they disclosed that the parts were not available. Consequently, I returned the chair on August 9. My order number is redacted for privacy. Since August, I have been persistently calling every two weeks for five months to inquire about my refund check. Each time, I am told that the check has been sent and that they will issue another one. It has become evident that there is no genuine intention to provide me with my refund. This situation has left me exhausted and without any assistance, while all I seek is the reimbursement that is rightfully mine. I can assert with certainty that I will not be making any future purchases from Montgomery Ward. I am reaching out in the hope of finally receiving some assistance in obtaining my refund check.

I started receiving an invoice in the mail in June from a company called Ginny's, which listed an address on 7th Avenue in Monroe. The invoice claimed I owed for three items I never ordered or received. To address the issue, I had to create an account on their website using the account number provided on the invoice. According to the website, the order was placed on June 1, 2022. The shipping details incorrectly showed my husband's name and an unfamiliar address, although he did not place the order. The account indicates that the items were canceled on June 3, 2022, with a cancellation still pending, yet I continue to receive monthly letters from Ginny's. The latest correspondence threatens to send the matter to collections for these unrequested items. I have an order number from the website for reference. Upon contacting Ginny's customer service using the phone number from the invoice, I was informed that I must prove the fraudulent nature of the situation and send them evidence. My husband has also reached out to them, providing all the necessary information to resolve this issue. We urgently request that Ginny's cease billing us for products we did not order, rectify the erroneous late payment charges on my credit report, and discontinue any further communication with us.

Colony Brands First of all, through all my research, I found that Country Door is a part of the Colony Company

First of all, through all my research, I found that Country Door is a part of the Colony Company. Now, on the 14th of Nov, wife wife went online (www.countrydoor.com) and placed an order for several items, one of which was a personalized item. Everything she ordered, it stated online that they were all available. These items were to be christmas items. When we received all the items in the mail except the personalized item, The enclosed invoices stated the personalized item will be available on Dec 10th. We were fine with this. On Dec 12th, after not seeing or hearing anything, I tried to go online to check the status. When I opened the "Orders" tab, our orders placed on 14 Nov could not be found. All other purchased appeared. After doing some research, I finally found the order. Now, it states that our personalized item would not be available until Jan 10th 2022. Remember, this is meant as a Christmas present. I located several numbers for customer service and began calling. For several attemps at making calls, I would answer several recorded questions for which I would ask to speak with a representative. I would eventually be transfers to speak with a representative only to hear this recording, " all representative are busy, please try your call later".This continued over several different phone numbers on several attempts until finally placed on a hold status for 15+ minutes before someone finally answered my call. I explained my concernes with this young later and felt as if she didn't care at all with my concerns. her response to me was just that "they were very busy and were having computer problems" and "I can wait to received the item after the Jan 10th or I can cancel the order" I then asked again, "How can an item state available when ordered (14Nov) to available on 10 Dec (written correspondence) to not available until 10 Jan 22"? once again the response was either wait or cancel. I canceled. Tried to email and it just would connect.

Purchased items from this company back in May or June 2022. Size was wrong so I sent items back in the box they were shipped in a long with the return label that was provided with the items. The company is trying to charge me $34-$37 dollars for the shipping and handling cost of returning the items. Also charging interest each time they send me a bill. And they have applied this charge to my credit report 4 times... I would like to have this removed from credit report along with them to stop sending me monthly statements in the mail for something that was returned...

On Nov. 16th, 2022 I received an item from Montgomery Ward in the amount of $62.00. When I phoned them to tell them I did not order anything, they told me a line of credit account was opened in my name on 11/09/2022. I assured them I did not open it. They told me to file an affidavit with the Federal trade commission and to freeze my credit accounts and to fax them the affidavit. I did this and faxed them proof on 11/30/22 with receipt confirmation. They also told me I would receive a return label in the mail to return the item, so I would not be responsible for it. To date, I have not received any updated info, (other than a statement for the item). I called today to verify the account was closed. Seems they didn't "receive" the fax, said they sent out a return label ( over two weeks ago). I told them I would refax the affidavit as well as send a hard copy in the mail, return receipt request, and would track the return label, which shows "invalid" upon checking. I have secured my credit accounts with the *** But am very concerned they are not doing their part to help rectify this. I truly believe this is an inside scam, within Montgomery Ward.

This is a credit account associated with paper catalogs. I opened this account on October 3. Last year in 2021, a scammer attempted to charge merchandise on a Montgomery Ward account as I was in the process of relocating to my current residence. I was alerted by Transunion. In response, I filed a fraud alert with all three credit bureaus and closed all my charge accounts linked to catalogs. I have repeatedly requested the closure of my Swiss Colony/Ashro account at least three times. Upon checking my credit report recently, I discovered that the account remains open. A few days ago, I reached out to their customer service via email, and they instructed me to call their credit department, which I did. The credit department then transferred me to another department. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes and 17 seconds, I hung up without having spoken to anyone. Please assist me in closing this account. Thank you.

I purchased two dresses and returned both of them. The bill came to $241.21. I returned both items and made a payment of $25 while waiting for the credit. I recently received another bill for $37.42 and a credit was applied to my account. I called and spoke to a representative to find out that the company is charging me $58 in shipping. I contested the charge, insisting that my account be credited as the shipping cost seemed excessively high. The company already has a significant amount from me for what I consider to be an exorbitant shipping cost.

Colony Brands In February, a letter arrived from Montgomery Ward in Monroe, indicating a debt.

In February, I received mail from Montgomery Ward in Monroe. It stated I owed $152.22 on account [protected]. The statement included a charge of $1356.70 and a credit of $1204.48. I called to dispute the fraudulent account. The representative promised the credit department would follow up. After no response, I contacted them again, speaking with an employee, who assured me there would be no negative credit reporting and requested I complete a Fraud Packet. It took two weeks to receive the packet, directing me to identitytheft.org. I submitted the notarized letter via UPS Next Day Air, also filing a report with Equifax. Despite this, I kept receiving statements threatening negative credit reporting. There has been no update from Montgomery Ward since April 13th, 2022, nor on my credit report. The unauthorized credit inquiry has damaged my credit score and incurred costs. I demand the account be closed and credit bureaus informed of the identity theft.

Colony Brands On 12/15 i called in to place an order for Christmas

On 12/15 i called in to place an order for Christmas. While speaking with the rep. she explained that there would be a $68.00 deposit for my items. I also paid for expedited shipping to have my items arrive 12/17. The rep. told me to lookk out for an email with my tracking info i waited and seen nothing by email so i called again Friday. They told me it was still processing. Come Saturday i logged into my account only to see there was an issue with my order and it stated a letter was mailed. I received the letter Saturday 12/18 saying i needed to pay a deposit of $70. At this point im confused since i already paid a deposit. I called customer service and they had no clue all they said is that the credit department is requesting another $35.00 to have it shipped today so i paid it. Right after paying the $35 the rep. told me "OH " there's a glitch in the system because its asking for more money. I had to wait to Monday to call since they were closed. Monday *** i call in and the cust. service says your order wasn't processed because we need 25% down? Not once was i notified by email , phone , etc. i literally had to call multiple times to see what was going to with my order otherwise i would have had no idea. So now the rep. says we need an additional $70 totaling $170 to get your order to you? Why wasn't i told this days ago so i could have corrected this? These items were for Christmas and now i won't get them because poor customer service, and careless reps. *** customer service rep i spoke to had no resolution , they didn't care. The worst part after all that i dropped my order to 1 item and again paid for expitided shipping to arrive ***, i was told my down payment for the 1 item was $99 and ive already paid $103 so i was told the order should go through fine. LIES i check this morning *** only to see my order not processed and a message saying a letter was sent? Why wasn't i emailed or called? Its a few days before Christmas.

Colony Brands April 10th I logged into my account with Country Door and placed an online order for my son.

On April 10th, I accessed my Country Door account, part of Colony Brand, and ordered items for my son. I paid $75 towards my account. The next day, my son alerted me to an unauthorized credit line opened in his name by Country Door. I contacted their customer service and was informed the account was erroneously opened and would be closed. On April 13th, a representative assured me a correction letter would be sent to Equifax. I reordered the items by phone. Later, my granddaughter, a toddler, received a letter from Country Door about a non-existent order and a credit request, which was absurd. After spending an hour on calls with multiple representatives, I received no assistance or clarity on whether Equifax was informed about the error. The staff was unhelpful and accusatory. My husband suspects a security breach at Country Door, raising concerns about their handling of credit information.

Identity Theft dispute to remove my social security number associated with a fraudulent individual's name from your company data base:My name is *** and I am a victim of identity theft. My social along with another person's name was used dating back to 2020 to request and receive credit with four of your sister brands/companies; Montgomery Ward, Seventh Avenue, ASHRO and Monroe and Main. On 01/28/2022 I received an inquiry alert from Equifax informing me that someone had applied for credit with your company stores. I called Montgomery Ward to address the situation and was informed that a man by the name of *** did indeed apply and received credit with your online department stores. A second call concerning the alert of another account, the customer service agent *** revealed to me that when someone applies for credit with your company that the information is not thoroughly verified to prove the authenticity of the party requesting a line of credit. On 05/30/2022 I faxed a copy of my notarized FTC affidavit, a copy of my police report, a dispute letter and a copy of my driver's license with my social security card as proof of proper name and address. Unfortunately, even after doing all of that I still discovered that this thief was able to open three more credit line accounts using his name and my social which greatly affected my great credit score. It has been very difficult to separate this criminal from my legal identity even though I have given a statement to the *** IC3 Bureau, my local police department and all three major credit bureaus. The accounts in question are as follows, Montgomery Ward :***, Seventh Avenue: *** and ***, ASHRO: *** and Monroe and Main: ***. The address associated with *** also known as *** and *** is ***. I have never lived or received any mail at this address.

Colony Brands I received a catalog in the mail from Country Door back in October and decided to place an order with them

I received a catalog in the mail from Country Door back in October and decided to place an order with them. At that time an account had been set up for me ending in #9985 under Mrs. ***. I used my own personal information, including my social security number for this account. I continued to order through Country Door and always made timely payments. On July 22 I paid this account off in full. I kept the account open for future purchases and had an $850 credit limit. In November, I had received a catalog in the mail for Christmas with a code on the back. I went online and placed 2 orders that month. Knowing that I had an $850 credit limit, my first order was slightly over that limit but Country Door authorized the purchase. I placed another order in 11 which totaled almost $400, which Country Door had also approved. I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for these orders. What I didn't realize is that back in November Country Door had set up a duplicate account under my name (showing Mrs. ***) using my husband's social security information. My husband has never ordered anything from Country Door. When he received mail from them (which were billing statements) he tossed them in the garbage thinking that it was junk mail. It was not until today, 6/16 did I realize that our information was being comingled into 2 separate accounts. The beginning of November I had an account balance of $73.08. After the two online purchases that I made in early November as described above, along with two more purchases that same month totaling less than $300, my balance was $1660.19. I had not received any billing statements after that. They were being sent to my husband who again, had no idea what that mail was. Now I am learning that we have a balance of $1840.84, and that my husband has been reported to the credit bureau. Again, he NEVER signed up for a Country Door account. Country Door opened up a separate account without my knowledge using my husband's personal information. I never thought using a catalog code on the back of a catalog with MY NAME on it would open up a NEW ACCOUNT with my husband's information. I feel that Country Door is 100% responsible for this error. Thank you.

Colony Brands I received some advertising mail from them stating I was pre-approved for $750 of credit with their catalog

I received some advertising mail from them stating I was pre-approved for $750 of credit with their catalog. At first, I ignored it because there was nothing in the book I really wanted. I then decided to go to their website. I found something that I wanted but it was over $200 more than I could get it from the store. However, I looked at it as interest and I could just make payments and help reestablish my credit. I filled out the necessary information online that they requested including the catalog code on the back of the book. Once I finished ordering I got a confirmation. I received an email that it was waiting to be processed the next day. Within 3 days there was no email that told me it was shipped off so I went to their site and looked the order back up. At that point is when I saw it. To my surprise it tole me that I needed to pay almost $300 down in order for me to get the item. I called them immediately to cancel my account. Then a week later I received a letter that stated that I no longer met the critera for the pre approved offer. It's very misleading the customer. I was lead to believe I was pre approved for the amount shown. And in fact their own follow up letter it states I was. Quote: "In reviewing your credit history we have found that you no longer meet the criteria for the pre approval offer. What that says to me is that when they sent the catalog out I was approved for that amount. I find it hard to believe that my credit would go down in such a short period of time in which they sent the catalog out and the time I ordered. So, I pulled my own credit and in fact it went up the last 3 months not down. The letter also suggest that they pulled my credit in January. What? So, they did a report and sent the catalog out in July? It makes no sense at all. Furthermore, what sense would it make for me to give them $300 when that's the same amount it cost in the store? It would have been better off they had not offered me at all. My point is simply this. They mislead me to believe I could get something when they already knew I couldn't. And then made this other stuff up to justify it. Horrible Horrible company. No one in their right mind would believe that they would send a customer a pre approval catalog from a report pulled in January.

Colony Brands I was preapproved for an account with Seventh Avenue/Colony Brands Inc in February

I was preapproved for an account with Seventh Avenue/Colony Brands Inc in February . On February 11 I made my first purchased of $ 52.94. On February 17 I made a second purchase of $ 44.94. On February 28 I made my third purchase of $ 44.94. Each month I made the payments accordingly, sometimes paying two months at one time since the minimum payments were only $ 20. My remaining on this account was $ 15.38. I made all my payments at the their website from the first billing cycle (in which ARE NOT PROCESSED in real-time). I made this payment three (3) times before I realized on different dates prior to the due date before realizing it is not real-time processing. It can take up to 3 or 4 days for them to process payments but they do not notify you of this. Also, I never received ANY late payments in which is questionable due to their reporting. After receiving alerts from the credit bureaus about a late payment being reported I immediately took action as my credit is very good. I never received any correspondence from Seventh Avenue stating my account was late or anything. I took care of the $ 15.38 payment immediately they said I owed for in which I still do not understand. I have called and faxed on numerous occasions and after being almost 6 months still have not received a response. However, on June 18th a payment history was mailed to me (as the website is not functional due to not being a real time payment processing portal). After reviewing my payment history, I can clearly see where the issue is. I have copies of all my credit bureau reports that reflect different months the account was late. This is very damaging to my credit and life due to the reporting keeps changing from Seventh Avenue, now they have my TransUnion report as 2 times 30 days late for January and February . It first started with March when the account had a $0 balance. I have kept good records to still no resolve. The second event that occurred after the "alleged" late payment was they increased my credit limit to $ 500. Quite interesting for a customer they state "pays late". You are my last effort before I file this with the Missouri Attorney Generals office and in the Circuit Court of Cape Girardeau County against Colony Brands/Seventh Avenue. Thank you.

Colony Brands Afew months ago I ordered merchandise

Afew months ago I ordered merchandise. I had an active account that I paid $35. A month on. I was about sure I had it paid down enough to keep it under $1, 000. so my payments would remain $35. A month. I was told by the agent that took my order that my payments would remain $35. a month. I mailed in my next payment then I got a bill for I believe $15. And a late charge of $10. I called and spoke to a rep who told me that my order was $7. Over, making my payments $50. a month. I told the rep that when I placed the last order I was told I was under $1, 000. and my payments would remain $35. No The rep kept telling me I would have to pay the increase etc. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. Who told me the same thing. They did not want to see my side of it and correct it. I then wrote to them with my next payment and told them just what I've told you and since they refused to see their error. That I was going to continue to make my $35. mo payments until it was paid and then I would no longer do business with them. I've continued to get inflated bill from them. Today I received a bill for minimum payment of $95. which consisted of a payment, a $10. Late charge and a finance charge of $16.31. Along with a note that said " Don't let this happen to you!" With a picture of the Seventh Avenue credit card with a "large circle with a slash thru it". And under that another Seventh Avenue credit card with a large " RED" "CANCELLED" across it. Mind you I had already informed them I would not do any further business with them. Because of their unfair, bully business tactics. On top of over charging me and not careing or even listening to me they are now bullying me. This can all be proved by listening in on the original tel call when i placed the last order. Where i was told my payments would remain $35. a month. Had i been told i was $7 over I would have made another payment then placed my next order. The following month. They say at the beginning of the tel call that this call will be recorded for quality purposes. Had they wanted to be a fair company with good business practices they would have offered to run that recorded transaction and have seen that this was their representives mistake and they would have never dragged a good paying on time customer thru the mud. I want this matter resolved in a fair way and then I will part ways with this bully company. I would not recommend anyone to do business with this dispicable company.

Montgomery Ward has the following disclosure and/or advertisement on their website I have enclosed their disclosure as well as the link to their website https://www.wards.com/resources/credit/montgomery-ward-credit-faq/#does-montgomery-ward-report-to-credit-bureaus "Does Montgomery Ward report to credit bureaus? Montgomery Ward reports information regarding its open, active accounts. Information reported includes all relevant historical information, including the account open date and the complete payment history. On-time payments to your Wards Credit account are an effective way to build a strong credit report and improve your credit score" As a result of the above disclosure advertised on their website on 09/11 I reopened my account with Montgomery Ward and utilized $65.97 line of credit that was extend to me. I made all payments on time and received billing statements for September, October and November reflecting my onetime payments and balance due. Unfortunately, my information was never reported to the credit bureau as promised in the disclosure advertised on their website. Therefore, on 10/19 I called Montgomery Ward Credit Department and was advised that my account was reported to the credit bureau for September as well as October that I have a $400 credit limit. The information should be reflected on my credit report within the next 24-48hrs,If I do not see the information reflected on my credit report by 10/21 please callback. Therefore, on 10/21 I called back to their Credit Department. The rep advised on 10/19 I was given the wrong information that I do not have a $400 credit limit that I do not have a credit limit at all and they will not report my account for 90days and/or 3billings cycles from the date that my account was reopened. So, I called Montgomery Ward Corporate Office Colony Brand and Affiliates and spoke with Erica Administrative Assistant. She saw the information on their website and apologized about the misinformation advertised in the disclosure. However, they will not report my information to the credit bureau for 90days and/or 3billing cycles from the date the account was reopen. They will not report September, October nor November until the end of November and my credit information will not reflect on my credit report until around December. I told her this is unacceptable and very misleading and unfair to the consumer. Therefore, I asked why 90 days and/or 3 billing cycles? She stated that's their policy and the information advertised on their website is incorrect. However, she will put in a request to have the disclosure that's advertised corrected and/or updated. This is a bait and switch unfair business practices. Not to mention a violation of my Fair Credit Reporting Act Rights. I have also filed a complaint with The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I am also filing a compliant with my State Attorney General Office as well as a complaint with The Attorney General with the State of Wisconsin

Colony Brands From: rhonda [protected]@yahoo.com To: undisclosed recipients

From: rhonda To: undisclosed recipients Sent: Friday, August 14, 04:13:03 PM EDT Subject: Inability to pay my bill Dear Ms. Deborah: Over the past month I have repeatedly sought to pay my Swiss Colony bill in full, $242.08. On July 15, at 4:33 pm I attempted to pay my bill through my bank, but on August 1, I found the transaction had not gone through. I contacted my bank, and representative Donald confirmed that Swiss Colony had not requested the funds. Despite receiving a confirmation of payment, I paid again by phone with representative Shaquilla, who suggested a user error. Still, the payment did not process. On August 4, I spoke with Peggy, who provided a transaction code and confirmed receipt of payment with a different card. After further issues and speaking with Ann at corporate, who verified my details, the payment was pending until August 13, when it was refused due to an address mismatch. I verified my address on my Swiss Colony account, and it was correct. I then attempted to pay with an electronic check and confirmed the details with supervisor Susan, who provided a process number. Despite these efforts, as of August 14, Swiss Colony has not accessed my account for payment. I have been unable to file a complaint through their website or email, which concerns me regarding my credit rating and the difficulty of paying for services. I request that your company investigate this matter, as both banks have assured me the issue is not on their end. I appreciate your products and thank you for looking into this. Sincerely, Rhonda J
