My good friend, Diane Goldman, had a stroke in August of 2023. She has not been living at 5333 N. Sheridan Road, 15-0 Chicago, IL 60640 since then, as she is in a skilled nursing facility (Peterson Health Center, 6141 N. Pulaski, Chicago, IL) since August of 2023, and her lease is terminated, and her belongings are at Public Storage on Broadway Avenue in Chicago, IL. Diane has problems speaking and cannot move much on her own. I called Com Ed a week ago, and they said, that despite all the information I had, they had to get the word from her to close the account, and they called her. She was confused at the time (as happens often when there is a stroke) and told them not to close her account. I explained it again to her, and today, I called Com Ed again to do this. This time, they said they are not allowed to call the client and that they needed a power of attorney document and a notarized document from Diane about closing the account. She is on autopay. You need to close her account since she does not live there anymore, and if you continue to take the electricity money, I will go much further on this to get you to be cooperative in cases where people die, or have a stroke, and I will also approach the change depending on who we talk to at com ed. Furthermore, they put my phone call for her on my record, not hers, stating that they cannot close the account. It has nothing to do with my account. Have this information changed to her account and do it now.
