My family have always. Bought and serviced our vehicles at commonwealth motors , great salespeople , and I feel like I get a good deal . I have serviced for many many years at their *** service department and they treat me like family , always know my name when I go in . Mr *** does a lot in our community also which is always a good thing .

Buying my car was an effortless process, when the state inspections were down for weeks, I stoped in the dealer just to say thank you to my salesperson. *** noticed and knew I bought a car and asked if I got a sticker I said no they offered to do it immediately on a Saturday morning when the machine just came back up that morning. terrible customer service...I received a phone call about coming in and buying a Car. I told about my last horrible experience there where NO ONE acknowledged me in the showroom and they were all talking Spanish. I even went outdoors and looked at vehicles hoping to get noticed. Nothing happened. I told *** on the phone I guess if my money is not in Pesos it is not good enough. She hung up the phone on me. I next received a phone call back from *** or ***,the sales manager, and told me that I didn't have the right to use the words pesos and was apologetic at all was extremely RUDE. *** better clean house with these salespeople if he wants to stay in business

First of all they don't even deserve 1 star. I went in looking to buy a truck. We picked one out, they had me sign some papers and fill out a check to hold the truck. I clearly asked them, you're not going to cash it? They said no, either way why would they cash it if I haven't bought anything. I made it clear that the decision wasn't final. As soon as I left these *** cashed the 3000. I payed for nothing. Went back there they tried to kick me out because I wanted my money back. Ofcourse I want my money back, I didn't pay for ***. I went to commonwealth motors to look and maybe even buy a new truck. Chris O was giving me preferences in what I should buy. They were forcing a vehicle on me that I really did not want to buy because I knew I would be unable to fit my family in it. I pointed out the one I wanted and he told me that it was way out of my price range. I didn't believe that because I took the time out to fix my credit before this so I could buy the vehicle I want. At that point I was no longer interested because they were still forcing the vehicle on me. They said for me to do a credit check, and they then pre-qualified me for a vehicle. Jamie had done the credit check to see how much interest I would pay for a down payment. He came up with a price of $5,000. I did not have a total of $5,000 to put down at the time. He told me to make a $3,000 check to hold the car and said that when I come back I should bring a $2,000 certified check. They had me sign paperwork to hold the car. I didn't not receive paperwork nor receipts the day of. I called them Saturday after speaking with my bank -who had told me to shop around-. I called and emailed them to let them no I was no longer interested. A few days later I found out they cashed my check without me buying anything. ***. Go to herb chambers, they're actually truthful and have well customer service.

Monday 7/21 I called to schedule a car appointment pursuant to yet ANOTHER *** recall! This one must #3 or #4. The recall notice said my car is unsafe to drive as as a result of the most recent recall. About 2 days ago, my car sounded starting making noise. My last service appointment was on Monday. They said without seeing the car that the noise had to be unrelated to the recall. They were CERTAIN of it, sight unseen. I have my family's safety at stake.*** told me that I will be charged a free in advance whether or not the damage was caused by me or the recall. I certainly will pay if it is my fault. But when I was mortified that *** the manager and his colleague summarily dismissed my questions, that was enough.*** at Commonwealth Motors (whom I never spoke to before)told me i was "taking advantage of them" I don't follow that. *** responded: "Hi ***, We appreciate your continued business and have explained the extent of this most recent recall. The recall does not require us to even pull the vehicle in the shop as we replace 2 fuses and a cover under your hood. The vehicle was never put on a lift and the rear end of the vehicle was never touched. Your vehicle is well out of warranty with *** miles and diagnoses require a deposit upfront which will be deducted from any needed work if the repairs are authorized. We suggest you find another dealership to look at your vehicle as we do not appreciate these threats and accusations."My response: "***, I am sorry but your statement is wholly untrue, I reject your response entirely. After 12 years as being an excellent customer, you astound me. I thought we had a good relationship. I will no longer recommend you to others online or otherwise. I purchased 4 cars from you and this is the thanks I get. The fact you just flippantly said the recent issues is unrelated to the most recent recall baffles me. I will be overjoyed to purchase my next vehicle somewhere else. ***, I know you have a demanding job but please don't take out your frustrations on me. You were also rude and unprofessional with the last recall and I said nothing.As for the threats, these were reminders of consequences if you don't follow through. I can file a ComplaintsBoard.com or AF complaint or *** you if like, whether I mention it or not. I will also contact the Camber of Commerce, local town and others. You bring shame to the brand *** and destroyed my loyalty as a customer. My car's brakes are faulty, and a recall notice SC098 2011 was issued. However, Commonwealth Motors claimed no such recall exists. Now, I must wait six days for a local mechanic's repair and seek reimbursement if charged. This situation with Commonwealth Motors is frustrating.

This place is the worst to fix your new 2020 car! My insurance paid for the fix because of an accident that wasn't my fault. I thought Commonwealth Collision was a good place to do the work, but I was wrong! When I got my car back, it had damage that wasn't there before, and they tried to cover it up with touch-up paint. When I told the manager, he denied it was their fault. I tried to contact the owner twice, but no call back! They won't fix my car, and it's still damaged! Don't go to Commonwealth, they're terrible! Please help, I don't know who else to call.

I went to Commonwealth Motor in *** on March 9th. They said I could lease a car without any issues, so I gave them $1500.00 for a down payment. After a week, I didn't get approved, so I asked for my money back. They said I needed a "decline letter" from the bank, which I got on March 30th. Mr. said I would get my money back in 7-10 business days, but I still haven't received it as of April 23.

Our salesman let her test drive a 2021 car even though she didn't have a license. We waited for 4 hours to sign for the car and I put down a $2000 deposit. The next Thursday, I went back to cancel the lease and get my deposit back. They said I had to come back when the sales manager was in, but when I returned on Friday, he refused to give me my money back. I think they used high pressure sales tactics on me.

I told the big boss, the money boss, and the sales guy that I didn't want to buy the car at that time. But, a week later, I saw that they took my $3000 deposit even though I didn't leave with a car or any papers. I called them and talked to the big boss who said it was no problem to give me my money back. Yesterday, on September 14th, I called again to see if they returned my $3000. But, some other guy answered and wouldn't tell me his name. I told him why I was calling, and he said, "We're not giving you your money back. You either come back and take the car you looked at or let us find you something else!" He was mean, loud, and scary on the phone. Then, he just hung up after I said I would call my bank.

My 2021 Atlas had brake issues while driving, so it was towed to Commonwealth Motors on November 11th. The dealership informed me that the parts are on backorder with an unknown arrival time. They provided a small Kia loaner, unsuitable for my three children's car seats. I requested a larger vehicle, but none was available. Disappointed, I lack a safe transport method for emergencies. Daily calls for an Atlas update and a bigger loaner yielded no ETA for parts or vehicle availability. On 11/20, I found a suitable SUV at another rental agency, but Commonwealth VW would only cover $50 daily, while the SUV costs $98/day. I need assistance with this expense. The initial Atlas malfunction and the lack of a secure family vehicle are concerning. I'm still paying for the Atlas and urgently require a resolution.

Went to Commonwealth Motors to buy a car with my niece. She had a lease that was gonna expire. We worked out a deal with them. Gave them $100 dep and then gave them $1900. Agreed to $2000 down for the new lease. Waited 4-5 days for approval from ***. Kept getting quotes from other dealers. This was $60 less than their quote. Went to Commonwealth and said if you can't match or come close I'm gonna cancel the deal. Salesman wasn't in so other guy went to sales manager explained the situation and said they will cancel the deal and credit back your dep. He said it would take 48 hours. At no time did he say you would forfeit your $2000.00 dep because if you cancel you lose it. Salesman never explained to me that I would lose the dep if I cancel the deal. Yes I did put my initials on the space but it was quick and he never explained and I never asked. Now its 10 days I call Commonwealth because I don't get a refund. Speak wit the sales manager Mr. ***. He proceeds to tell me that I signed a document stating I forfeit the dep if I cancel. I try and explain to him thats not what I was told. He had his speech all prepared and didn't want to hear that the salesmen who works for him said he was giving me my money back per him. He said it takes 48 hours to back into your account. Tried talking with the finance mgr who was nicer but again nothing. Filed a complaint with *** Corp. They said they contacted them to reach out to me and work something out. Again nothing. Put a dispute in with the credit card company and waiting to hear from them. This is not my first time dealing with Commonwealth. I have purchased several cars or trucks from them. However, I have never had such a horrible experience as now. Can't believe that *** and his family let these people work there where they scam you with the deposits. My niece is the first person on the car I'm just her co signed she didn't initial anything about the dep. This car was for my niece a single mother on her own and a health care worker, I was trying to get her the lowest payment.
