My hairstylist, whom I have been getting haircuts for a while damaged my hair on this recent haircut and also cut alot of the length off of my hair. She did not cut my hair like it should have been with an undercut, wetting down part of the back into the ends and blow dry-styling it with a brush after that. But all she did was trim the ends just a little bit and not wet it down and blow-dry it.
She said she did do everything like she usually does for the haircut, but she did not do any of the necessary steps. She lied about it and did the haircut the wrong way like I mentioned before. She did it her way instead.
My hair turned out to be completely straight, split into separate strands and hung flat and limp unfortunately, which does not work for fine hair, which is what I have. I have explained this to her before and she did not listen obviously.
After I told her nicely and politely about the haircut not being cut right, she didn't admit to cutting it wrong, got upset obviously (she didn't show it) and then she suggested to use a styling tool called a Texturizing Tool. She didn't tell me what it was for and what it was supposed to do, but she did say it could help the ends of my hair go under so it wasn't straight. As a hairstylist, I'm sure she knew what this tool did.
So because I trusted her to do the right thing, I gave this a try, which was a complete mistake. This styling tool damaged the feel and the thickness of my hair and made it thinner all over, especially in the back. Also, my hair is frizzy, fuzzy and wispy/not even. I found out later that this tool only works on people who have thick hair to give it volume and not for the ends to help it go under.
She knew all this information as a stylist, but lied about that and about what this tool actually does. She purposely used this tool to damage my hair and she knew that. And now, I have to try to get my hair thickness back to the way it was before she used this tool and also grow it out because of the length being a lot shorter. I will be lucky if I haven't lost any hair from what she did. And I will have to buy a special shampoo and conditioner to thicken thin hair and give volume/body and fix the problems she caused with my hair unfortunately.
Ever since I got the haircut, I have been very upset, crying when I see my hair and trying to work with it in the mirror and am very scared and terrified to even go into a salon and get my hair looked at and cut again in the future. I don't understand why hairstylists would want to damage hair. I know hairstylists give bad haircuts sometimes, but to damage a customer's hair is horrible and they should not be hairstylists at all. That's my personal opinion. Why would anyone do this purposely to wreck clients' hair? It is terrible to have this happen.
I would like to have my money back for my haircut and I am definitely going to find another hairstylist in the future. But it is going to take at least 6-8 weeks or longer to repair the damage she has caused. Also, I don't think she should be cutting peoples' hair at all after this situation. Again, that's my personal opinion.
I don't know what your company does when and if something like this has ever happened, but she should be talked to about the problems/reprimanded at least if not be accountable for them, because what she did was a serious thing not to take lightly and needs to know that it's not ok to damage a clients' hair at all no matter what the situation is.
I just wanted to let your company know about this serious situation that one of the hairstylists did to my hair and also chopping off length off of someone's hair is horrible also. I hope you will take this situation seriously and do something about the problems before anyone else has problems with their hair with this stylist in the future.
Let me know if I can get my money back and also let me know what your company is going to do about these problems she caused with my hair being damaged, thinned out and a lot of length taken off also.
Thank you for your help with my situation and I'm sorry to have to let you know about a really bad experience I have had with one of the hairstylists at one of your hair salons. I hope this matter will be taken care of soon and dealt with seriously so it doesn't happen to any other clients in the future.
Claimed loss: Damaged hair, Thinned out hair, a lot of length of hair was cut and also money possibly lost for a haircut depending on if I can get my money back (hopefully I can because of the situation).
Desired outcome: I would like to get a full refund on the haircut, and this stylist should get into trouble for doing terrible damage to my hair and cutting off too much hair. I hope the proper steps are taken with this hairstylist.
