I went in to get some split ends cut off. I was expecting a trim of maybe an inch or two but left with 5 inches taken off! today my son and i went in for haircuts. 40 dollars later we are done his is ok...mine...nothing. nothing at all like the picture i took in. i was getting my haircut for over an hour. the woman cutting my hair kept going to look at other clients cuts and checking on them. asked me where i was from twice. clearly not paying any attention. i showed her the picture twice. asked her during if she could go shorter. she was telling me all about how she took a class on bob haircuts and this and that. well...class wasnt long enough. here are the pictures i showed her. and what my hair looks like. i would like to request a refund. i will be needing to go get a haircut. due to not actually receiving one that is satisfactory. thanks. lisa wandell

Rude service, horrible haircut! Expensive! Bad experience. Employees were to focused on looking at themselves in the mirrors, gossiping, and eating. No eye contact, no smiles... they all looked like they hate their job or lives... Hair was not cut professionally, clipper marks, crooked, looks like a child got ahold of clippers and just started clipping away.
Adult cuts are under $20. That is cheap!

I arrived at the cost cutters at 9:50am on a Sunday morning. They opened at 10:00AM and the open sign was already on so I went in to see when I could get a haircut. I was told they were already booked for the day. What happened to the way you advertise that walk ins are welcome. Very disappointed that you don't practice what you advertise. I work and have other commitments during the week and Sundays are the only day that works for me. Why can't you leave some slots open for walk-ins?
stylist behavior
I went to the cost cutters in Mason City Iowa
on 4th and a blonde stylist next to me acted as if she was under the influence of some drug. She was moving constantly and making wierd facial movements and very shaking, I was waiting for her to cut her hand or her clients ear. She was standing in wide leg stance like she was trying to make her movements seem intentional. If she has a medical issue that causes this, I wouldn't of hired her, it's dangerous to have such abrubt movements. She was not acting normal. I've seen people like this and they are high from meth or something similar. She should not be working on clients acting like that. I don't want to ruin someone's life but if she were performing a service on my child and injured them because she was high, it would be a legal issue! I believe her name was Brittany.

I went to the Morris, Il 60450 Cost Cutters on Saturday of this past week (10/13/2018) and I received the worst hair cut. I walked in with very long hair with no layers. I asked for (and showed a picture of) long length hair with a few bottom layers. LONG layers. The hair stylist Katie) started cutting my layers very short and then realized she messed up and tried to fix it. I walked out with Super short layers that were much heavier on the top of my head than the layers on the bottom. The worst part about it is I can't get my hair fixed. It is messed up for as long as it takes for the layers to grow out. I did not ask for a mullet. I want my money back!

I had my eyebrows done there Saturday and the girl had a solution that she put on a cotton ball and wiped my eyebrow area she pushed very hard like she was cleaning dirty feet or something I don't know I told her it's burning she said it could be because it slow and all the chemicals came to the bottom of the solution but continue to use it my eyebrow area is very burnt could not wear make up to my granddaughter's birthday party felt like I had third-degree burns trying to get a hold of the manager they said they would give her my number and call nobody has ever gotten back with me I am very disgusted I do have pictures of it and may take it elsewhere

went into the the one in York Nebraska had my granddaughter too, She also wanted to get her long hair cut they did get us both in at same time. I already told the stylist that I'm very much butt hurt when it came to my hair just cause I didn't come in with no make up on didn't mean I don't care about my hair cut cause I do and I usually wear makeup.. In the Spencer Iowa Cost Cutters you fired my hair stylist Kelly Vaudt Reese. Kelly is the BEST hair stylist anyone could be blessed to employ. Kelly is amazing, sweet, hard working, always has a smile on her face. Kelly goes above and beyond to make the customers happy! It is absolutely horrible that a business like Cost Cutters let Kelly go. Cost Cutters have lost a lot of business since Kelly does not work there any more.

This is about the Cost Cutters at the Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs.Okay, so I buy gift cards for friends who need haircuts.
They come in handy when you are on a fixed budget and at 4 for $40 for the holidays it's even better. Went into the one in this post over the weekend(12/10) to buy a couple of those gift cards and was told I couldn't buy more than one at a time and I had to go back another day to get another(which I did but was an inconvenience). I called their corporate office who contacted the district manager for the salon who left a message saying that was their policy this year because people were buying more than one and using them through out the year. Now, there is no sign saying there is a limit but putting that aside what business is it of theirs how someone uses a product they have legally purchased.
And how the *** do they know if people are doing this.
Maybe they got gift cards too. This is a rather shady policy IMO that needs to be changed.

l cannot believe that l just hung up from a "big manager" of Cost Cutters as she did keep her word on calling today, she said there was nothing they could do! l mean my God...after what l went through-you couldn't at the "very least" offer me some free products Julie? Okay, l went through getting my hair done last summer by Autumn. Long story short, my hair was a hot mess "& SHE GOT IT TO LOOK WONDERFUL!" So, any person would naturally go back-correct? Well, went back in October(l was lighter before. l go lighter in the hotter months & darker in the cooler months). So, l showed her a picture of "ME!" Not Christy Brinkley, not some pic on my phone, or in a magazine l perhaps seen. NO, THIS WAS ME! All it was, was my hair a way darker shade of dark brown all over & some blonder peek-a-boo's in the front(NOT EVEN ALL AROUND MY HEAD!). Well, usually l am very nervous when l get my hair done. l am on disability...& this along with internal problems. (l will be up front & honest). l was pretty darn relaxed-because of the reason that my hair turned out so nice the first time around. Well, l should have not let my guard down(l NORMALLY NEVER DO THROUGHOUT MY LIFE). My hair turned out a mousy brown(same color as my natural color hair-same color in my high school pic). Oh, except it looked like l put some Sun in it. (Once again...just like high school). "BUT" their was another problem. When l got home my daughter noticed a big chunk of orange on my left side of my head, & a few more strips of orange in the back. Well, Autumn went on vacation for a week. So, l had to run around like that for a week. l went back-finally & got that fixed. But, still was not like the picture. lt was left mousy brown. Then l made another appointment, cause l just couldn't take it still. All she did was put some more of the same color highlights. l know it was not dark all over still, but she could have put the blond peek-a-boo's in after l was "CHARGED ANOTHER $24!" l am such a good person that the first time l gave her a $25 tip. The second time when l was charged $24, l even gave her a $5 tip. Julie the manager said l am not getting anything back when she called today...because l waited to long. "WELL THE REASON I WAS WAITING IS BECAUSE I WAS WATCHING MY NATURAL COLOR HAIR(with a few greys/very few, l will admit)GROW OUT THOSE ROOTS TO MATCH THE REST OF MY HAIR, & IT DID!" l have pictures of it to prove it! & when l just went to get my hair done. I showed the girl the picture l wanted my hair to look like, & she looked at my hair & just said; no way. Nothing like the picture one bit. Then she explained how she should have done it. Oh, l'm being totally honest here. So, Autumn & Julie are also blaming my well water. When l bought(2 times from Cost Cutters). Super Silver Shampoo & conditioner. P.S. IF IT WAS MY WELL WATER-THAN HOW COME WHEN MY HAIR WAS REAL DARK BROWN & I NEVER USED ANY SPECIAL SHAMPOOS OR CONDITIONERS ON MY HAIR, MY HAIR STAYED DARK & THEIR WAS NO PROBLEM, HMM? WELL, Urban Trend was "GREAT" to me. They said; even if you don't like it in a couple of months, just come back. "I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT JESSICA DID!" Cost Cuter's...you really need help on your customer service.Take advice from a professional business like them. It doesn't pay to make a complaint to Cost Cutters.All they do is tell you that there is nothing they can do.Been there, done that! Rude and nasty over the phone and condescending.Poor customer service and poor attitudes.District managers could care less and the staff at the salons talk about other customers and staff members.Awful for business.Also, who cuts a childs hait with lice? Someone posted on a popular social site that they took their child to Cost Cutters for a hair cut and then found out that night, that this child had head lice.Why would a stylist not see this?And, what gets me is why would she post that she found head lice in her childs hair that night and post it for everyone to see.That sylist used a comb, brush, scissors, etc on that child shead and would probably re-use on someone else.That's disgusting.Cost Cutters is the worst p[lace to get your hair done whether is be for a cut, a color, wash, etc.Most Cost Cutters are filty and dirty.They never clean anything.The floors are always dirty and they probably don't clean out the sinks they wash your hair in either.I will never go to A Cost Cutters after 2 bad experiences.The second time was for a re-do on a bad hair coloring.I gave them another chance and the girl still couldn't get the color right after assuring me she could.Bad, Bad business.Oh, and when I called to complain about the bad hair coloring, the district manager told me there was nothing they could do.SERIOUSLY? Finally got a $25 gift card out of the deal after almost losng over the phone with the district manager, but WHOOPPEE! On October 21, 2014 I visited your salon at the Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach, Florida.
I recently moved to the area and was in need of getting my roots done to the front (bangs) portion of my hair.
For over 2 years I have been blonding my bangs with great success. When entering Regis, I advised that my hair was hard to lift and my previous hairdresser used a high volume lift that works perfectly without breakage and with very little time. I advised that my previous hairdresser also did not apply the color to my scalp but instead painted it on just to my scalp and put it in foils.
Regis used a 30 without foils and I sat for an extended period of time to find that my hair did not blonde, it turned copper. A 20 was then put on my hair where I sat for an additional period of extended time.
My hair is not only still copper, but I have chemical burns on my scalp that is now all scabbed and had at least 40% if not 50% of my hair break off at the root and or an inch from my scalp.
On October 22, 2014 I had an experienced, retired licensed cosmetologist look at my hair and head to determine that indeed I not only had chemical burns but the follicles are swollen and have significant hair loss. She would not correct the color and did not recommend I go anywhere to have the color corrected until my head healed and to determine if I would have permanent hair loss where I suffered chemical burns.
I contacted Regis on October 23, 2014 and spoke with LaDonna who refused to return the money in a convenient manner that I paid to have my hair and scalp ruined.

Brandy McCain sells her services for $10-$20 per class. She teaches you how to save money - or be very cheap - by using coupons. Everything she teaches you can be googled. I've stood behind this woman in line at Krogers for over 30 minutes while she uses huge stacks of coupons to buy things in humongous, bulk quantities. She had a hug stack of Irish Spring soap, and probably 20 tubes of toothpaste. She claims that anything she doesn't use she donates to shelters or churches. She is also a member of many Facebook Recycle or Yard Sale sites. She offers to "buy" stuff from others by trading her freebies for what other people have for sale. If you look at what she has for sale, she wants cash for it... and some of it is very unreasonably high priced (and probably stuff she got for free). It's ridiculous that a person can be so incredibly cheap and selfish that she won't pay others what they deserve for their things, but then turn around and sell things that she has cheated stores out of for free to people for a big price.

Yes, Brandy McCain in very selfish and cheap. She recently moved to San Antonio, TX, and is attempting to start her "business" here. She sells coupons! She dumpster dives for bundles of coupons and post them on her Facebook site trying to sell them. First of all, it's illegal to sell coupons, and second of all, it's really low class. A friend of mine posted some items on a garage sale site on Facebook and Brandy tried to "pay" for it with cheap toiletries. She's really ridiculous.

I had a Stylist that Wouldn't Shut up! After cutting my hair, I asked her to take the hair dyer a blow the fine hairs off my face. She was going to charge me for that! I figure if I am paying 17.00 for a cut. and they mist your hair down at least the hair drying could be free! It was cold outside. I had to go outside with wet hair!, And all she did Talk was about her personal life so much that she Screwed up my hair. PLUS every time the phone rang or a customer came in She left and had to take care of those people and leave me sitting. There were 5 stylist there! They didn't have a customer service person to take care of the walk-ins etc. I ended up 40 minutes in the chair the cut should of taken 20 minutes. I didn't notice that bad cut until I got home and washed my hair. she missed a whole section that was not even trimmed!
I will not go back to any of those 15 minute hair cut places again!
COSTCUTTERS IS TERRIBLE! Don't go to the one in Dillon Colorado. They have Crappy service!

i just went to one saturday in keokuk iowa at cost cutters, worse haircut i have ever had, butcher job. All uneven, showed pictures of a bob and discussed it ahead of time and got a super short summer pixie cut with longer sections on one side, all uneven. They should have to prove they can cut hair before they are hired to do the publics. Had to recut what was left of it when i got home to even it out. Rediculous!

I have gone to your Baxter location several times before and i have had now 3 bad experiences. I got my hair cut there today for the last time. When I got there I had to wait which is fine so I looked through the books that they had for men's hair styles. I found one that was very close to what I wanted but the top needed to be a touch shorter. The gal that cut it looked at one of the picture and said about that short right. I said yes and when i left it looked nothing like what i wanted. I now have a colic on the top of my head and one side of the top is longer then the other. I am through giving you a second chance. I will find another salon to cut my hair. If I wanted to have a bad hair cut i would have cut it to myself.
