Costco car wash damage to car's paint
I washed the car in Costco Scottsdale on 8/21/2022. I discovered that the paint on the hood was chipped on corners and rotary brush marks were between those chip-offs the whole width of the hood. As well the rear gate of the car had a thin layer of the top paint scraped off. Tried to report it to the closest to my home Costco but they refused to even have the manager look at the damage and refused to give me the claim form. Two days later I went back to Costco Scottsdale. An assistant manager came out and took pictures of the front damage only. He stated that they did not service the car wash for a long time and that they have no intention of inspecting or servicing it because of my report. He stated that they never had a single complaint while washing thousands of cars. A week later I received a call from a woman from Gallager Basset who promised to send an email confirming the claim and giving a contact back to her so I could send her pictures I took. She never did. Several weeks later she called and stated that the claim is denied because the car wash was never serviced either before or after my complaint and that the brushes are made of the same material as diving suits so the damage is impossible. She did not give me any claim number or anything in writing. I have no contact to the the adjusters nor I have any documentation that I filed the claim, grace to Costco Scottsdale manager not giving a carbon copy.
I checked on the internet there are other reports of other people who had their cars damaged in Costco car wash in Scottsdale and they reported similar denials and arrogant ignorance.
I got an estimate from a reputable body shop in the amount of $1600. I went back to Costco Scottsdale and the manager and assistant manager were unable to provide me with either a copy of my complaint or with the telephone number or fax number to their adjusters. They told me that they never send any paperwork or picture and that they just fill out a form on Costco's system.
Desired outcome: I want Costco to pay for the repair and to start maintaining their car wash.
Smartwatch - costco survey
I received an email from Costco asking me to answer a survey. Because I am a happy Costco member, I filled in the survey and afterwards I was offered a possibility of purchasing a Smartwatch for a very reduced price ($30). I decided to take advantage of the offer. I clicked on the link that was given and I used my credit card to purchase the watch. I received it a couple of weeks later. It was sent from a company called Elm Solutions in Pampano Beach Florida. With shipping the final cost for the watch was around $50+. When I opened the package I found a sales slip that indicated that the watch only costs $10 dollars in the US. I couldn’t get it to work. I called the company and they gave me some instructions, but I still couldn’t get it to work. Essentially, I would return it, but I would have to pay for the cost of mailing and related customs charges. I am quite frustrated with this. It is a very cheap watch and I think it is embarrassing for Costco to be associated with a company like Elm Solutions and their products.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive a certificate for $50 that I could use at Costco to purchase something else. I would of course be very happy to return the watch to the closest Costco Store (Charlesbourg, Quebec).
Ejected from store due to service dog accidentally pooping in store and after I picked up the poop and disinfected the area.
My dog is a trained and registered medical alert service dog. He has service dog tags and a California issued ID number. He is specially trained to help prevent a condition that has caused me to be rushed to the Emergency Room on several occasions, and on one occasion my heart stopped. My dog is trained to alert me and other in the case of an acute medical condition.
He had been given a probiotic earlier in the day, and although he was trained not to defecate inside, he could not help himself. After accidently pooping, I immediately picked up the poop and cleaned the area with disinfectant.
Immediately a woman approached me and said, "Sir, we're going to have to ask you to leave the store with your dog." Then, another employee (a man) came up to me from the customer service counter and said in a harsh tone for everyone else to hear around me: "Service dogs do not poop in stores." I said that, "yes, service dogs can poop - they're not robots." He said: "No, you're wrong. That's why service dog training costs 30-40 thousand dollars." I replied that my dog was a trained and registered service dog and then left the store because the Costco employee was acting in a hostile fashion using a raised voice.
I have been to this store many times with my service dog having experienced no problems in the past.
Desired outcome: Policy stated to all employees: service dogs must be allowed unless the animal acts aggressively. Employee correction for violations.
Ruprecht's braised short ribs
This is the first time I tried the Ruprecht's braised short ribs from Costco. What a disappointment. They are at least 80% fat and bones, barely any meat. My package was 3 pounds for $7.99 a pound. There was only about 4 ounces of meat in the half I ate. The package comes in two packages of ribs. I'm taking the other one back for a refund. I don't recommend anyone ever buying these. Costco should quit selling these immediately.
Incidentally, Costco has gone to poor quality in their roast beef also. The Morton's they used to have was good, but the brand they sell now is mostly fat also. I don't remember the brand now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is Ruprecht also.
Desired outcome: I'll get a refund at the store. Costco should just quit selling such an inferior product.
Kirkland Signature All Chocolate 150 pieces -- Halloween Candy
I purchased three bags of Kirkland Signature All chocolate 150 pieces for Halloween. Each bag had a variety of small candy bars in it. One of the variety choices was Peanut M&M's. Upon opening the large variety bags, I discovered that all of the Peanut M&M's bags were empty. There were a few loose peanut M&M's in the bag, but obviously those random pieces could not be consumed. This was the case for all three bags. There were only about 7 small bags of peanut M&M's in each of the large variety bags, but all of the Peanut M&M bags were empty. This was disappointing.
Desired outcome: A desired outcome would be to replace the missing candy.
Tire centers
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to inform you of quality escapes at 2 of your tire center locations, 1 in Surprise, AZ (AZ) and 1 in Lafayette, LA (LA). This fact that these events occurred has made me come to the decision not to renew my membership. I cannot trust those that don’t follow directions and/or fail to tell the truth.
Your AZ location did not properly map the TPS sensors after my tire purchase.
A slow leak caused a message to appear while driving, that my left front tire was low. I stopped the car and looked at the reported low tire to find no issue. Before continuing on, I located the nearest Costco (I’m travelling) and drove there direct for them to evaluate the problem. Distance approx. 7 miles. While exiting the car at the tire center, it was obvious the low tire was the left rear.
Your LA location failed to disclose tire condition policy and correct tire availability.
This location opened a work order to repair the leaking tire. I was notified that the tire was not repairable due to sidewall damage while driving on a low tire. I ok’d the prorated cost and asked them to go ahead and replace the tire. I also requested to see the damage limits for sidewall damage. No info was provided.
I was then informed that the tire would have to be ordered as they didn’t have any in stock. I asked them to find an alternate source for the tire as I was travelling and couldn’t wait the estimated 3-5 days for the correct replacement. Meanwhile, the tech told me he was going to reinstall the bad tire, air it up and pull my car out of the bay. This was after the manager said it was policy to not air up tires with sidewall damage as that could result in personal injury.
Again, I asked to see that policy but none was provided. With conflicting stories from the tech and manager, I requested to speak with the store manager. The store manager tried to get the story straight between the tech and tire center manager but that did not go as I imagine he had planned. There were too many differences between all parties involved and now it was literally 30 minutes before closing. I arrived at 3pm and they close at 6pm.
The resolution I agreed on, was their purchase a replacement tire from a local shop. The tire center manager made this happen before closing so I could get back on the road and I thanked him. The manager then went on to advise me there was no warranty or future rotation/balance of the replacement tire. Why? Because it was not a matching tire. I was not advised that the replacement would not be a match. I was not advised of the warranty issue either. I would not have agreed to this if they would have been honest and upfront with me. In addition, I requested the off unit be placed in the trunk. I planned on another opinion of the reported damage. This didn’t happen either…no off unit was in the trunk.
In writing this, I again realize how completely disgusted I am with the service provided in LA, and disappointed with my local store in AZ. I sincerely hope this is not your normal business practice.
Should you choose to reply, that’s fine, just don’t use the supply chain due to covid excuse.

My credit score above 700 and a very good payment history and Ulization under 30% and over 100,000 $ credit lines .when I cancelled the card they told me that my credit reward will be forfeit which is over 200$ to be redeem at the end of the years 2022.What kind of policy is this.?

I tried to order Levi's Jeans from the Costco Online site. First I ordered 3 pairs of Levi's Jeans 38x30 (Order #[protected]) on October 30th. and it was cancelled. Tires
Costco Cypress, CA ruined my four wheels when they replaced my tires. The Manager there said he would take care of them and admitted at fault. They had me fill out insurance papers then afterwards they refused to fix the problem. The is service negligence. They said their insurance company won’t repair. The Manager refused to help rectify the problem.
Desired outcome: Have the Costco tire center repair them.
Delivery
My recent delivery orders have had problems Instacart failed to resolve: Examples:
--> There were missing items in my last order, including Kirkland brand organic cashews*, Season brand sardines*, kirkland brand protein bars (chocolate chip & double chocolate chip)*. Interestingly, the last delivery person failed to take a picture of the items delivered.
--> Past orders included melted food, such as Trident brand Salmon Burgers* that turned to mush when the driver lied as to why he was LATE (he went way north of the expressway and Costco (which is south of the expressway). I live about 10 miles to the south - driver was way out of my range - and could be seen going all over the map - you can easily find the late order by noting when I had to start requesting temperature control and for each individual item to either be substituted or refunded - because not only did he cause my items to melt, and other items to overheat, but DESPITE my stating "no substitutions," he SUBSTITUTED ITEMS. So, now, despite it being more time-consuming etc. I have to take the extra time for EACH item to request it not be substituted. This defeats the system in place to generally elect one's overall substitution preference (e.g., if "no substitutions" at the top is ignored, then why have that option in place?). Then, he misdelivered items and quickly reached into my items already rendered delivered to very quickly grab items I said were not mine and was about to hand over - getting very physically close to me during a time when COVID pandemic was of great concern. In addition, to all that, the order I believe, if I recall correctly, had missing items. That was totally not acceptable.
In good faith, I have never reduced a tip, as that was not how I was raised. But, there have been drivers like him, who merit $0 tip. Instacart may want to rethink the 2 hour tip window because people have lives and may not be able to immediately react (I never lower tips, but it's not fair to other shoppers to force them to drop everything or pay an unduly higher tip than what was merited; of course, if there are people who display continued patterns of tip baiting, then restrict their accounts accordingly). But it's not fair to prevent other shoppers from adequately providing tipping feedback at their first reasonable opportunity.
-->IMPORTANT: Please ensure Instacart resolves complaints. Instacart has repeatedly failed to reimburse or replace missing items. I am considering dropping the account due to Instacart's failure to make right driver's errors, as noted above.

This is a praise report (not a complaint) for leena, one of your workers in the frederick, maryland store.
I was shopping your store in Frederick, Maryland, yesterday, and was interested in purchasing your PJs that are on sale. There were none in my size, so I was walking away when I decided to ask a food sampler person if they could contact management, hoping I could get management to come and help me. She said that she did not have a phone to do so, but suggested that I find someone in a red vest to ask them for help. I found a woman named Leena working at the far end of the clothing area and asked her for help. Leena was so kind to stop her working with clothing on the table and came to resolve my problem. I told her that there were no PJs left in my size and she started looking under the table for boxes of same. Leena quickly pulled out a box, opened it and found my size. I told Leena that I was going to contact headquarters and let them know what a great employee she is, and how Costco is very lucky to have Leena working there. What Leena did not know is that I am to have shoulder replacement surgery, so you can understand just how grateful I am for Leena's help. FYI - We usually shop the Gaithersburg store, which does not have friendly and accommodating employees and certain management personnel, so we stopped by the Frederick store, since we were already in Frederick. I think we will start shopping the Frederick Costco. Thank you for hiring someone like Leena, who is a perfect representative of Costco. Mrs. Weaver

Vincent Teasley is an extremely lazy, self entitled, condescending employee. He singles people he think he can chat with to call up to the membership desk and couldn’t care less about hourly employees. Multiples individuals and family have left the store before talking to a membership employee because of how off putting this guy is

I witnessed a disgusting display of management today 9/14/2022 at approx. 12:19PM. I was being served my ordered pizza by an elder and the white guy, the only white guy, during that time, motioned his hand for the elder to hurry up. The elder was agreeing with him, but also trying to tell him he was busy with a costumer, but that white guy continued to signal him to "hurry it up". The elder got very nervous as he was trying to get my pizza ready. I observed the white one gloat over what he had done and had a smug look on his face. This is not the first time I have observed him (the white guy) be mean and have a bad attitude. He should know he is an employee as well and he should be reminded about treating people with respect and dignity.
Desired outcome: I would like to see this white guy become a more positive role model, especially if he is a supervisor.
Lennox HVAC residential
Purchased a new residential unit 2018. Evaporator coil has a leak. Installing company verified leak said they would order new coil. Checked 1 week later now 4-6 week back order. Did internet check for Lennox coil recall. Wow so many complaints. Check for yourself before buying a Lennox HVAC unit. You will be surprised.
I would recommend Costco also review issues with Lennox products before allowing customers to purchase this poor product.
Desired outcome: Would like Costco to do some do diligence in researching Lennox class action law suit and current issues with this company.
Auto purchase program
My wife, 74 years old purchased a 2022 Toyota Corolla from Gateway Toyota, Rt 70 Lakewood. She requested a purchase using the COSTCO Auto Purchase Program. She was told they no longer participated in that program. Next, After I read the contract I noticed that they placed her in a finance program that charged 7% which I believe is too high as my wife has perfect credit rating. When I told my wife to go back to the dealership and give them a check to pay off the car rather than pay 7% interest. They told her she would have to wait until the finance company sends her a bill. That I think is unreasonable. They should have accepted the payoff and cancelled any financing. COSTCO states Gateway Toyota is a participating dealership in its Auto Program. That program would have saved us a lot of money... Can't use this dealership in the future.
Desired outcome: Refund the COSTCO Discount.
Angus fully cooked burgers
why has Costco discontinued selling fully cooked Angus Burgers! these came in 12 packs of cooked burgers, fully cooked, prepared by putting in the microwave for 2 minutes or less! noticed these were discontinued on August 28th, my last visit to Costco! Costco in question, on North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs Colorado. also heard Costco on Powers in Colorado was not carrying them anymore!

Angus fully cooked burgers were the best tasting, moist and easiest to prepare burgers, anywhere, why discontinue selling them!
Costco Citi Bank Credit Card
We have been loyal customers of Costco for years. We had their American Express credit card and then the one from Citi. Overall the credit card is good. We always paid the bill on time. However we accidentally missed paying our last bill of 141.00 payment (our error). We paid the amount due although late. We will also pay the interest rate and penalty. Citi received our payment but they still suspended our credit card. No warning the card was going to be suspended! We found out our credit card was suspended when we tried to pay for our trip. Citi's reasoning is that they had not posted the payment but acknowledged they had received our money. We did error in not making the payment on time but we did pay it and Citi received the payment. We had to call and repay for our our trip using a different credit card. Needless to say I was very disappointed.
Desired outcome: Citi should not have suspended the account especially if they received the payment. Perhaps they should waive the penalty fee or interest fee or both. We have always paid on time except for this one time.
Mold found on organic coconut
I bought a package of organic coconuts (2 in 1) from Costco Kirkham store (Markham, ON) on Aug 23. My membership card is xxx7809. The outside package says best before date of Sep 22. My son opened one coconut and drank it. After it, he cracked the coconut open hoping to enjoy the white pulp, just to find out green mold has been building up. At the beginning we weren't sure, so I took the green part close to my nose and I almost fainted. We then took a close look at the other one which is not opened yet and noticed the best before date written on the inner package shows Aug 15.
Can you please explain how this happened and how you suggest to resolve this to prevent further circulation?
