Paid $565 for mini split unit with 5 year manufacturer warranty, Costway. It leaked r32 completely from unit into my 500 sq foot cabin then started throwing code. Besides concern for my health, the heat is unbearable. I told customer service I was going to die from a heat stroke if they didn't hurry with a replacement filled with r32 and they said ok but when they sent me to service dept I was told no. Call amazon. That warranty is over it falls on 5 year manufacturer warranty COSTWAY! You should be ashamed for dragging this out for weeks while I burn up in a heat wave. I sent pictures and videos and did everything you asked for you to decide NO. FIRST OF ALL, service dept didn't even respond for 2 weeks. To finally respond with no. I kept all my chat history and I'm sending it to everyone who will listen. Shame on you COSTWAY!
Recommendation: Do NOT buy COSTWAY!!!
Update on Costway, they sent me an entire new unit at no cost to me. I am so thankful the help i received from the Complaints Board. They were never going to help me otherwise.
After getting the Complaint Board involved Costway contacted me and said they would be sending me a new outside unit which holds the refrigerant as well. They sent me a new inside unit on accident but still sent me the new outside unit. So i ended up with a new mini split, exactly what i had asked for. I cant thank the Complaints Board enough.

Paying $565 for a unit with a supposed five-year warranty, only to be brushed off during a heatwave, is beyond frustrating. Their delays and lack of proper customer service are putting your health at risk, and it's no surprise you're ready to escalate this. Costway should be ashamed of how they've treated you. Hopefully, they get their act together before more customers are left in the same scorching situation.
