Please do not open an account with cricket wireless!

We decided to save a little money and switch from att to cricket wireless. First off they totally messed up the porting process and I din't have a phone to use for 2 weeks. After 3 trips to a corporate store and 12 phone calls to cricket wireless we got it figured out. Meanwhile, I use my phone for business and lost $275.00 in work. Then they added yet another line in the process and charged me for it. They line didn't exist. We were charged two months for a line that didn't exist and made a ton of phone calls to get that line disconnected. We were promised each time it would get removed and we would get the credit... Never happened. Now, they are saying we added another line, actually they added the third line and the number wasn't even connected! Needless to say we cancelled them and they owe us $100.00 credit. It has been 3 months and we still dont have the credit! Everytime I call I get a promise that our credit card will be refunded in 7 to 14 business days... Save your time and money, stay with your current provider!

I purchased a new phone that cost $250, after using the phone I originally purchased with the company two years ago. After purchasing the phone I was told I could only use their webmobile feature to download ringtons, graphics and games. But this feature sucks. All the objects in this feature is old or boring and they don't use and third party service to compliment their lacking service. Ringtones and very marketable now and its crazy that their downloads are all old. They need to upgrade this service and quickly. All the tones and graphics that come on the phone are very simple and unattractive. In this day of phone downloading they are very behind and they need to address this problem as soon as possible.

I bought a new samcuns u340 because I wanted a camera phone. After less than 2 days, I was unable to receive pic. Messages. I called cricket and they had me do the usual reset by taking the battery out and restarting phone. *228 blah blah blah. It didn't work so I went to the cricket store I had bought the phone from and was told it was a network issue, that it would be fixed within the week. Well it has now been 2 weeks and after calling the 800# several times a day, and getting re-routed over and over again to the automated system (All reps. Are busy helping other customers, but our automated system will be glad to help you). This is after trying several different tactis to just get a live person online! So here I go, back to the cricket store across town. I was told that it was a software issue and it would be fixed. But, they had no idea when. I actually asked if it would be tomorrow or in 6 months, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. I offered to pay the difference in an phone upgrade and was told I had to pay for a new phone outright. No refund would be given because the phone would be fixed eventually! My opinion is that cricket really loves to get new custoimers but doesn't care about keeping them. Their customer service is non exisitent. Please do not buy service or phones from this company! I should also mention that I have made complaints with the customer service dept. And online. Both to no avail.

My phone bill is always wrong. I had 2 phones on my account. One was stolen and I reported it and had it taken off my account. The next month it was still on my account and they were saying that I still owed a $40 balance from the month previous. Which is impossible because if you do not pay in full they will shut you off. After 2 hours on the phone they finally fixed it. This month they have once again charged me for the second phone. Not only that but last month I overpaid my account so I would not have to pay this month. They are trying to bill me $101.00. My bill is only $45.00 and this month I should have a $55 credit no one can tell me where my extra money last month went. I keep transferring from person to person that does not understand nor speak clear english. They hung up on me because I asked for a supervisor. Now my phone is off and I cannot even get to customer service unless I pay the bill. What I can do! Plz advise smb!

I am going a bad time with Cricket right now. A supervisor hung up in my ear today because he is too stupid to understand good english and realize that if I have a credit on my account of 66.32 and do not even have an account someone made an error and to put my money back on my card should be easy. He is an **shole.

Would not recommend doing business with this company in any capacity whatsoever to my worst enemy. The dealers give out misinformation with reckless abandon, then corporate customer service (if you can even get through to a human being), amidst a time consuming charade of buck passing, 800 number shuffling, and further misinformation, practically, and sometimes literally, refuses to acknowledge any relationship whatsoever to their retail outlets. I was both a voice and broadband customer for two months, and quite frankly (IMHO), I don't know how anyone who accepts a paycheck from this company sleeps at night - but then again, there are countless companies (and government agencies) to which this rhetoric applies.

I have had the absolutely worst service with Cricket. My phone doesn't work correctly and I call the corporate office, only I can't get a person on the phone. I then go to the corporate store on Pineville Matthews Rd, Charlotte, NC, only to have the store manager Will tell me that there's nothing he can do and that I should call the corporate number. In addition to my phone not working correctly (dropping calls, inability to access voice mail), my phone bill is wrong. They have charged me an additional $30 dollars and I received the same run-around: 1-800-cricket tells me to go to the store to have it corrected and the store tells me to call 1-800-cricket to have it corrected. Needless to say I am canceling my service and urge consumers to think twice before giving this company any business.

Terrible service constantly dropped calls. Every conversation I would have on the phone would drop 5-6 times till me or they other party got sick of calling each other back. I called the 800 number and they told me to go to a corporate retail store and they would give me a credit for my phone and upgrade me to a new one (at my cost of course)! I drove through a snow storm across town and once I got to this store they said they couldn't help me because I bought the phone online and that I need to contact the 800 number again. On my way home in the snow storm I tried calling and the calls dropped several times and then after stopping on the side of the road (so I wouldn't lose a call) I sat on hold for what seemed a half hour. When the CSR came on I explained my situation to them and told them what I had just gone through and this person had the idosity to say to me that I needed to go back to the store! I at this point told him I needed to talk to a manger. Once the manager got on the phone the conversation really went down hill. they refused to acknowlege the faulty service or offer me a credit. I told them I had only been with them for less that 30 days and all I wanted was credit for the piece of crap phone they sent me and to be able to use the service they said they would provide. I told them to send me a better phone (I would pay the difference) and when it arrived I would put the faulty phone in the box and send it back to them. She said she couldn't do that and if I wanted I could take my phone down to a non authorized cricket dealer and they would buy the phone from me (At a much lower cost) and then I could purchase another phone (at a much higher cost). I told her this was unacceptable and I asked her who i could talk to to correct this situation. She replied " I don't know!" I have since tried to contact corporate cricket with no luck at all. Does anyone have a number for CORPORATE CRICKET? Not the 800 line that throws you into customer service hell!

1. They say you can pay your bill online, but cant. Then your charged $3 to pay your bill thru cust service. 2. You get rolled around thru the automated service when trying to reach cust service. I complianed an entire weekend & it did no good. I am paying for 2 cell phones and broadband sefvice. 3. When you purchase the broadband service you are supposed to qualify for a $50 mail-in-rebate. I mailed mine in 3 weeks ago & it still is not showing up on line, nor does cust service have a record of it being sent in. I have had it!

I made changes to lower my account bill because $243.17 seems crazy to me. So the cricket representitive tells me what to pay. $181.52
So I did on march 26th early by the way was not due until april 12th
My services were shut off on the april13th
Mabye 12th unsure about that, did not try use it til 13th april

The billing computer or whatever does that messed up. I was told.
So I called customer service who told me to pay a different amount, so I did.
Then I later get disconnected. I email cricket for help, they say go to local office.
I do, then I am told that they will not refund my money or give me services and that this is there policy!
Because they are no refunds on prepaid services.
So I just unknowingly gave them $181.52 wow how nice of me. And I had their broadband and 3 cell phones they just shut of. I was using the net for printing my homeschool papers.

Anyway apparantly the computer did not understand a payment I had made and put it on something else. Isn't that not my fault?

Give me my money or give me some services but why charge me recconect fees for their errors.

Also they did take off the services I requested but not the prices/amounts. So bill still high, but wait they charged me $15 dollars for each change that did occur on two lines.
So theirs an extra $30 dollars.

Fine but they need to remove the incorrect charges but did not. So they told me I need to pay $106.00 to turn it back on for past due amounts wtf I paid 181.52
So the total would be
$287.52
Wow thats not cheaper.
Before I leave he says to me you need to pay your bill on
Time?

It's like it was for effect for the other customers that where there.

Wow it shocked me I just left

Am I the only one this has happened to?

Is cricket not pre-paid? With no contract, right? So what's up with the payment date and fees to re-establish service. And when you do pay all these fees you get pro-rated after the fact.
I have had service with them for 3+ yrs.
I am finally fed up with their customer service.
5/1/09 - I asked to remove a phone line from my account which had two.In short the wrong number was disconnected and my phone was off. I tried to call *611 from the phone for customer service but got automated information. I got thru from another person's cricket phone. I thought my situation was resolved.
5/2/09 - payment was due so I tried to pay via zap link but decided not to because it showed bill reflecting (2) lines... Tried call customer service from pay phone but had no luck. Got automated response again. Again, decided to wait till monday am.
5/4/09 - my phone ended up suspended... "no service"... So I paid $60.00 to cover one line even though "amount due" online and zap link still reflected (2) lines. Waited (30) mins for service to restore but that was not the case. Call customer service's reason was that my payment was pending and should be posted by within 24 hrs. I kept checking for my service to be restored but did not happen.
5/5/09-today I have made (5) attempts to contact customer service via land lines but did not get thru til 4pm from a pay phone. I was routed to 'pre=pay' department informing me of my bal due of $53.00 I told them I refused to pay for more than one line and he verified that one line was disconnected. But because the "lead rep" did not indicate removed line and "non billing" of removed line. I still have to pay for the line removed from my account. He then said he was applying a bridge plan for 7 days so I will have time to contact a lead rep to correct my situation.
In the end I still have no service as of now 6:48pm mst.

Cricket services is the worst on the planet. They should not be allowed to continue business until they improve on the services, they say they provide. False advertisement and representation by the reps is number one. I purchased the product, wireless and broadband, first to be told that the first two months were free. Have the receipt to support that, only to be billed then disconnected on the billing date the following month. Any complaints went unheard by the company. To many dead spots and dropped calls. It's embarrassing!

The broad band services is a disgrace. It's constantly buffing every 20 to 30 seconds for at least 2 to 3 minutes. I guess people you get what you paid for. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I will be switching to a better provider and return everything back to cricket

Do not use Cricket Wireless for anything. In my adult life I have not dealt with a worst customer service attitude than Cricket Wireless. I have been with them a month and during that time frame I have had bad information on what to do with my phone service wise when I was out of my home state and recently I used a debit card to pay my bill and they submitted 4 amounts to my bank. In other words: they submitted the actual amount that I owed which has cleared and then on the same day they submitted 3 seperate transaction amounts which have nothing to do with the bill and now that money has been on hold for 4 days. It doesn't make any sense to put on hold an additional amount but what blows my mind and questions the legality of the whole thing is that they placed 3 transactions on hold. Meanwhile, I have a $0 balance on my account with Cricket. When I call customer service at 1-800-cricket they tell me I have to go to my bank and submit paperwork to them showing them the error? What kind of incompetent idiot is running the organization? If anybody else has issues like this I think they need to be sued for improper business ethics. Get in contact with me. I doubt I am the only person this has happened to. Chase Bank is not in good graces with me either they essentially told me to eat crap and live with it and any company can go in and put money on hold at any time and any amount without your consent? I question the competency with Chase as well.

Ive been with Cricket Wireless for about a year now, and I never had a problem until now. My monthly bill has always been $60.00 Just last month July 2017, I paid over $100! The phone that I have is $100, with no camera, no bluetooth, no data backup, no ringtones...nothing! Im tired of being over charged for stuff I dont have. Ive talked to people in the corporate offices and over the phone and have gotten nothing but attitude saying what I am going to pay or what I need to pay or have to pay. Now for September my bill started at $60.00, then to $72.00 and now its $97.74 Im not paying for services I dont have, dont use and are not offered! Im more than willing to go to another phone company if they cant get their crap together! Im more than unsatisfied I also want a (DETAILED) copy of my phonebill for the months of April 2017-Aug.2017

On December 17th 2017 I ordered 2 cricket wireless phones and told the sales person I would need to port my 404 cell numbers into a 202 area; they said I could and assured me that when I got the phones I would be able to. I ordered 2 phones and received them December 24th. When trying to port the numbers I was told that I couldn't do that so I canceled my order and would return the phones. On January 8th I decided to keep one phone for my business and called cricket to inform them I would be keeping one phone and returning the other. They said that would be ok and nothing would happen to the line I kept. On January 15th they disconnected that line now that I have it registered to my business and on a banner in front of the business. After speaking to a supervisor at cricket they said there was nothing they could do because I disconnected the phone on the 15th...I never called cricket on the 15th! so not onlt do they not speak to their sales department but apparently they dont share information amongst the support department nor do they document what the customer is calling in about. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I found out over the last week that they departmentalize every small piece. So if you buy a phone but they screw up somehow they cannot make it right. That way it doesn't come out of their budget... what they do is transfer you to another department that says it was the previous department's problem.

I had just found out about 3 hours ago that someone had changed my account 2 days ago. When I contacted cricket customer service I was told that my account was new and that I had to pay 2 months worth of bill.
I was told that anyone who knew my name, address number could walk in to any outlet and make the change. When I asked what state, city it was made I was told they did not have that information. B. S.
I tryed to get this issue resolved and I was told that I had to pay this amount that I did not owe. I had found my original order number and called back to try and get this resolved. The person told me I had to pay and hung up on me.

I know that before anything can be changed or charged on your account you have to show id. But if they buy it over your phone no id is needed of course. They should ask for id if you go into a store and have anything added or removed from your account. You could put a password on your account if you want to mess with it.

I got a call from a Cricket Rep offering me a free month and activation on any crickets phones I owned. I was on my way to work so he told me to call 1-800-cricket & give them this offer number, I could get this offer on multiple lines with no problems.
I had been busy & forgot until I got a postcard from cricket in the mail, detailing the same thing. It told me I could call cricket or go in. When I tried to use this offer by calling in, they said I needed to go to a local store. When I went to a local store, they said I needed to go into a Corporate location. I visited three stores before one said they could give me ONE free month on both lines & only if I bought a phone in store. I planned on buying one line anyway, but online the website is cheaper. When I mentioned this they said, online I would have to wait for the phone to arrive so they charge 20.00 more. Wanting to hurry up I bought a new phone, and was then told I had used my offer previously. (I had not) So, they only gave me a free month on one line. They said if I could prove I did not get a free month on my last phone, I could then get a free month. (or call and confirm with 1-800-cricket) I called when I got home and they confirmed I did not get a free month or offer before. They transfered me so customer retention could give me the offer on all lines as promised. After 20 more min. customer retention told me, it was now in the stores hands. And, that the supervisor would agree. This company is a joke. I am taking back this phone tomorrow morning. While holding for the "supervisor" the rep hung up.

I had cricket wireless internet service. It was a disaster from the beginning. First, I told the lady on the phone when I ordered the service that I had two computers they only sent one modem. I went to my local retail store to purchase the additional modem. I had a very weak signal the first time I tried to use the service. After taking my laptop around my entire house and yard it turned out I only had a usable signal in the farthest corner of my backyard. I went back to the retail store and explained the situation to them all they said was I should try a different computer. I called cs multiple times and every time the said I should try moving my computer to different rooms, I explained I had already that and it still didn't work. Eventually an employee admitted that they just do not have a strong enough signal in my area and no matter what I would never have a usable signal. He also said he would document all that in my acct. And that even though the 3 day return period had been exceeded by 2 days I would be entitled to a full refund since I had been working with cs from day 1. There was nothing they or I could do to make the service work. However, when I went to the store they refused. So at the store I called cs who now changed their story and said I could not have a refund. After multiple calls to cs and cs going back and forth about the refund they once again assured me I would get a full refund. I go back to my local store where the manager points out on her computer the notes that say I am indeed entitled to a full refund. But she cannot give me a refund at her store because it is not a full service store. (Yeah right). I must go 40 miles away to a full service store where she guaranteed me I would have no problems. I get to the (full service) store only to be told that there is no store that can refund my money, that refunds must be done by phone. And the notes that said I was to receive a full refund had mysteriously disappeared from my account. (i knew I should have had them print the screen at my local store). And then her only other suggestion was to contact the bbb then she just left. I contacted the bbb and gave them my statement, then the cricket store manager at my local store gave her statement in which she not only lied about her statements to me and subsequent visits to the store, but then proceeded to make things up that never happened. Cricket inc. , also proceeded to take well beyond 60 days to give their response to the bbb. They denied my request for a refund and their reason was more than 60 days had passed since the purchase. Well, I guess they don't check their records very well as I had already filed a complaint with my credit card company and they had credited my acct. For the entire amount.

Cricket Wireless is a complete rip off! I had put my account on a brigde account on February 1, 2017. They assured me my service would not be shut off, than my service complete shut off. I call customer service and they tell me I have to pay my bill ok. February 7, 2017 I paid the whole bill and my phone still dosen't work. I try to call customer service and they tell me to pay my bill which is already paid. I go to the Cricket Wireless store in Crestwood, IL on 13150 Cicero Ave. They tell me that I have a $200 touchscreen phone in my account. I don't the money for $200 phone, my phone is $45 and its not touchscreen. I try to explain to manager I never bought a touchscreen, he tells me the phone I have was never at his store. i bought that phone at the store in October, I have the damn proof to prove it! When I try to call the store cancel my account, the lady was rude and told me to call customer service. Everytime I called them, they say my brigde account has not been paid, and I paid it. I have the proof of that too. I just everyone to know Cricket Wireless is a COMPLETE RIP OFF!

I am so fed up with cricket. I have been with them for awhile now and not sure why. I have gone through four phones and every time they say there is nothing they can do. I upgraded my phone to a slider phone. It lasted less than a month and just started acting up and would try to turn on but never did. Took it in and again they said that there was nothing they could do. I went online and ordered a new phone angrily but needing a phone. They offered overnight delivery on the phone and free activation. I went four days till the phone came. Very upset but relieved when it finally did. I charged the phone and tried to activate it on my existing plan. It was unsuccessful. I called support and they tried to activate it but they said they couldn't. I was told to take it to a store and have them activate it for $15.00. I am so fed up with them and about to pay a little more each month to deal with a decent support staff on another wireless company. Can you here me now?

I tried the Cricket Broadband service. It never worked. After a day of trying on the phone with their IT, I gave up and cancelled the service. They have no ticket number but the indian rep assured me that it was going to be cancelled. Still, they charged me for the month of service when I did not even used the service! I tried to complaint but they have no one you can talk to. The smart Cricket rep cancelled the number but did not give me back the money and when your number is cancelled, you cannot choose to talk to a rep ever in the recording so bottom line, I could not talk to anyone! Thiefts and ridiculous phone recordings and ridiculous customer service! No wonder they are going to be bought out! They are useless in this industry and need to disappear!

I've had Cricket wireless for over a year. At first things were great. Nice phone, unlimited everything (text, talk, internet, etc.) for $50 a month.

Problem is the customer service. It is nearly impossible to get in touch with a live person by phone and when you do they rarely have an answer to your question or are able to help.

I have to say that the horrible customer service trumps the $50 unlimited monthly bill. Would not ever recommend to anyone. There's no point in having a low monthly cost for a phone if the company is going to cut the phone off at their own free will.

Just terrible!

I had great service with Pocket!Well after my Pocket phone went through the cotton/sturdy wash cycle, it was dead. So I went to the Pocket store to get another phone and I am told that Pocket phones are NLA. and I would have to get a Cricket phone. After I paid $87.00 for a phone and one month service, I take my phone home and I have little to no service(Bars). So I call the store and they tell me that I need nationwide coverage and not just local. So after talking to the store for an extended period and having the call get dropped many times during this, I finally got feed up and took the phone back for a refund. Well this is when they tell me that I have gone over the 30 minutes that they give you for a warranty time. What ? The 44 minutes that I used were to call the store to complain. Well No refund and I now have a phone that I need for my business that I cannot even use. Never Deal with Cricket! They are Thieves! Oh yea, I have a slightly used cricket phone for sale.

On 3/16/11 I purchased a Cricket phone & paid $43.54 to have it activated for 1 month. On that same day I requested my number be ported from another provider. It took until 3/29/11 & hundreds of phone calls to get my number ported. When it was ported, it was ported to a complete stranger & her phone was disconnected. She started getting my calls & I had no service. I called Cricket to find out why I had no service. They said nothing to me about this other woman. I found out about her when she called me. She visited the Cricket store & they told her my phone is on her account! I called Cricket to have it removed but they refuse to do it! They tell me that since my phone is assigned to her account that there's nothing I can do about it. Oh & she has to pay the bill! Of course, she's not going to pay my bill, so I'm sure she's going to have MY phone disconnected. The phone that I paid for. I've been told I have to drive 25 miles to the nearest Cricket store to resolve this. It's not my mistake! Tomorrow, I will visit the store, demand my money back & switch BOTH of my phones to another provider. Ryan Maerio, employee ID 635153 told me I could take my business somewhere else. How's that for great customer service? Stay as far away from this company as you can. NOBODY speaks English & nobody understands English.

I am trying to get my service up and running with cricket right now. So far it has been 9 days of hell. I call, i'm on hold for at least 20 minutes before reaching a real person, when that person gets on, he or she can barely be understood due the the heavy accent, then they proceed to tell me that I am talking to the wrong department and transfer me to another department where I wait another 10-20 minutes for a human, then the heavly accented person politely tells me it is another department's problem and transfers me again, then the wait, the explaining again what is going on, the blaming on one of the other departments I have already talked to and then the transfer again or told to go into one of the few and far away corporate stores. When I have asked for a supervisor, he is even harder to understand, though polite, and tells me that he cannot do anything for me, but will call me back. No call ever comes. This has been the scenario for 9 day. Hours on the phone getting nowhere. I went into a store and they thought the phone would be working after the porting, but it wasn't. I have been told stories by the phone reps about them not being able to port my old number once a number is already been activated, though they had told me days before that they could not activate and port unless they put a temp number on. I have been told that they had no record of me in their system, though I dished out almost $400 to them and then they wanted me to pay more money so they could set up an account that should have been there. Departments do not communicate nor do the share the same data. The customer service is outrageous. I am without a phone right now. My phone number is in limbo. If I lose it I will be livid. Not that they care. They'll just make me talk to another polite person over in india who will tell me there is nothing they can do and I need to talk to another department.
