personal training use my bank account with my authorization to collect payment
The personal trainer went and collect payment from my bank account without my authorization went the 1 st payment i did to him was with my card on file american express. Personal trainer is separate from the gym even today there have different manager that i was not aware. i spoke to manager supervisor and he explain he need to collect payment he can change it, also i was not informed that the day you pay i run from this date for your billing circle. I pay 3 day earlier of my 1 section and they collected 3 day earlier. I tried to look for the corporate email o phone or anything that i can explain my situation about this payments and disappointment, unprofessional, disrespectful and illegal process they are doing there. Even the personal trainer admit that he place it under the account he did not knew it, that it had to place on the credit card went I told him and notified it verbally. I so frustrate emotional aggravated and unsatisfied for the error that the client have to pay for their error.

new manager
He is definitely very rude when entering the gym or when asking any type of questions. One reason I have been going here for years is feeling welcome and he has changed the game. He has changed the cables by the walk in area to the left of them locking in ONE type of cable only used in that particular section which is stupid. I like to work out there and he has no reason for doing that. Just because he says people break them, well they can break them at all the cable areas. Never smiles! Very rude being that he is a manager. Not a good example for the other workers. Please don't change otherwise I'm canceling membership
misinformed about a membership fee
Back in March of 2018, I started my gym membership at crunch. I was told there would be an annual fee charged to me by the employee who helped me start the membership. I was not told about how much the fee would be becuase the gentleman dodged my question about it. when I asked again he told me it should be no more than 30 dollars. he didn't give me the time frame if when it would be taken out and as I am still trying to reach human resources, I am told through an automated voice recording that their "message quota" is full. I have been calling since the time they open their offices and phone lines, 9a.m. I am very dissatisfied with crunch and will take this complaint to the B.B.B. this is uncalled for and very inconvenient.

They've been going into my checking and banking account without my premission they've so far taken 123 dollars of my hard earn money and every time I call or go to have my information removed I'm being giving several excuses to why they can remove it the manager is never available and when he does get in phone he places you on extended hold times so you hang up and when you call back he's not available I want my money back now I have to go though endless steps with my bank to hopefully get my money back
Membership cancellation
My name is Jamila Nolan. My address is 869 Thomas S boyland St 5d Brooklyn NY 11212. I went into Crunch crown heights on tue dec 19 and I cancelled my membership. Since then I have been charged $20.85 on Jan 4th, $20.85 on Feb 5th, $46.97 on March 2nd and $20.85 on March 5th. Each month I have spoken with Marianna who I believed attended to me when I went to cancel the membership and she told me she woulde email the manager Michael Fisher as well as the relevant authorities. In February I spoke to Marianna again and she assured me she sent the email and that it will be resolved. In March after I was charged again I spoke with Dequan, another employee there and he also told me he would let Mr Fisher know of my complaint. I also spoke to Marianna later that day again. Mr Fisher never called me. I finally called and spoke to him on a Monday March 12. He seemed unaware of the situation until he pulled up his email where Marianna had informed him months ago. This constant back and forth is a waste of my time that I have to put aside to call and email about MY MONEY! If the roles were reversed crunch would have hound me down for their money. As of now Mr Fisher cancelled the membership. I spoke to Sarah in Billings today and she informed me that as long as I have proof of the cancellation it would be rectified. I don't recall getting a paper but if I did I don't have it. I do know for a FACT that I went in on dec 19 2017 and signed off the cancellation on the iPad with the front desk agent, Marianna. I am sure the cameras at crunch has me there. That's the evidence I have. I would like my $109.52 of hard earned money returned to my account or I would have to take further action. It may seem like a little bit of money to you but it is MY Money and I want it back. In this day and age of social media and cameras, I'm sure this matter would be done in a speedy timeframe. It's long overdue!
Sent vancelation letter May 2017. May 2018 recieved a legal collections letter. Legal rep says gym says they didnt recieve a letter that is why they sent to collections. Crunch org have liars & thieves working for them.
refund
I have been waiting for my refund for about two months now & still have not received anything. I had cancelled my membership because I went with another gym & the manager for La Mirada said he put it in & nothing. I don't care if it's only $34. Bottom line is that's MY money & I should not have to wait 2 months for it. I'm tired of them beating around the bush. Not answering my messages when I text about it or giving me the run around. Can you please just give me my money back so I don't have to deal with this company ever again. Thank you.
billing
I Catherine [removed] am writing this letter to file a dispute with Crunch Fitness. In 2017 I called the crunch gym to close out my membership and was told I would physically need to come in and take care of it in person. I then went in person as instructed to close out my account. I was told by a manager quickly, didn't take more than roughly 1 to 2 minutes that it was all taken care of and wouldn't have a problem. Roughly about 6 month later, I then received a later from First Credit Service, Inc. Telling me that I owed for almost 6 months and I was also being charged fee's for missing payment. I think went back to the gym and was told that the previous manager I dealt with was no longer with the company. But, not to worry they would take care of it. Not this gym location is being close and I feel like no one cares about my current situation or problem. I do not understand why nor think it is right or fair to be charge something I didn't use and much less did my due diligence in what I was being told by (crunch gym) as the steps needed to close out my account currently. I am now being asked by a COLLECTION AGENCY that I need to show "proof" with a cancellation notice that I never received. Now they are telling me they will give me a settlement of $95, but the collection on my credit will NOT be removed. They also told me that Crunch Gym would have to send them a letter or notification explaining this was done in error and would be the only way for this to be removed. I called crunch customer service at: [protected] and was told that because it is a "franchise" they don't handle that. I don't understand why they are USING your name that must count for something. I was also told that because it is a franchise and the location is now closed that there is no information they can provide me. I mean it doesn't stop to amaze me what's going on. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would help me with this situation and do what's right and fair. My cell phone number is:[removed]. E-mail: [protected]@gmail.com this happened at Crunch Fitness - White Plains. Account # [protected] under First Credit Services, Inc. Thank you for your help and time in advance, as I believe you will do the right thing.
unethical behaviour
I would like to escalate an ongoing issue that I have not been able to fix at Crunch Hillsborough located in Tampa, Florida. I signed for personal training back in february and I paid 696 dollars for 1 month. Two weeks into training I advised my personal trainer that I would pay for the almost 700 dollars for the month but would need to stop the personal training program and that would not be coming back and needed to my personal training sessions. My personal trainer advised that I signed up for a three month contract and that I owed other 1, 400 dollars. I advised he never told me about a 3 month contract and his answer was "well you signed a three month contract for the personal training program". I feel I have been misled and I just do not think it will be fair to have my credit ruined when all I asked was to cancel 2 months of personal training when I have been paying my monthly membership on time and a full month of personal training.
billing
i was told in jan 2018 that in addition to my 24.80 monthly fee for my peak membership that in april i would have another maintenance fee once a year and calling just before it got taken out i was told the total cost was $45 after membership, maintenance fee and taxes so come april i made sure it was in my account. my son accidentally renewed my netflix membership right before it was to be taken but i called netflix and they put it back. before seeing the refund to ensure it didnt bounce i went into my branch and paid with my credit card to which i discovered it was 52.99 after everything. i paid it regardless so there was no issue which i have proof of and then they still charged my bank account causing me to go overdrawn. they have also made mistake on my friends membership fees terrible customer service and no ownership. will not be renewing after my year contract and if management is seeing this i should be able to cancel without paying the 100 fee for early cancellation cause they screwed up not me.
reimbursement on training fee
I was going to a great personal trainer in Mt. Prospect then some personal issues arose that I had to deal with. I did not freeze my membership but I was told I would not be charged for the trainer fees as I hadn't been able to go. 2 pmts of $300 each were charged. The first one I only used a few sessions but decided to let it go even tho I should've been credited for the time being. The 2nd charge they said I wouldn't be charged at all but I was. I have been trying for a year to reach someone regarding this issue and to get credited the $300 back. NO ONE will respond to my emails since the first contact.
manager
The manager "Blanco" at Crunch gym in Lancaster California basically kicked my buddy, my girlfriend, and me out. He started by saying that we aren't allowed to bring our bags with us while we work out and we have to leave them in the locker room. He had two excuses for it. The first time he approached us was because he said people were tripping over everyone's bags so everyone had to put them away. The second was that he said they had problems with people losing items from their bags. When approached again he stated that we could not work out if we didn't store out bags and would have to leave. I have a huge problem with this because I carry my weight lifting belt, gloves, straps, barbell clips, water bottles and work phone at all times. On top of this, the reason they sold me on the membership is that if I pay the max fee, I could bring a partner. I have friends and family who like having training sessions with me, so I carry more water and extra belts for them. No other gym has ever made this a problem and I've been to three different ones in the ten years that I've lived in the area. What angered me the most is that he claimed the contract I signed says I have to store my gym bag in a locker. I asked him to show me that contract and he gives me a flyer that anyone can make within a day on a pc. I let him know that that was not a contract and it's not what I signed. He proceeded to scan through my actual contract. Wouldn't you know it? Nothing in there states what he says to be true. However, I do find on the same contract, in front of him, a paragraph that states you are responsible for your own well being and property; essentially, liability insurance. My buddy was there witnessing everything and with nothing else to say, Blanco gives us our ultimatum: either put your bags in the lockers, or you have to leave and cancel your membership. We both cancelled our membership, but I will be making a call. The fact that I have to sign up and pay a subscription fee again to another gym alone, along with the harassment, shouldn't go unchecked. Let me also add that there were three others of whom he was aware of that had bags, and he let them keep working out.
garwood nj
On more than one occasion my wife and I have gone to the Garwood NJ location at 5am and the doors are locked because your employees are not there. This is RIDICULOUS and unprofessional. You guys get our money on time so we should be able to work out when we want. We would like some type of action taken asap. Can someone please contact me regaurding this matter? contract cancellation
Good Evening,
I joined Crunch 2/1/18 at the Hillsborough Ave branch in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after, I relocated to Minot, North Dakota for work. In Minot there are no Crunch facilities and have to cancel my membership. I contacted the Hillsborough branch and via email requested my contract be canceled. I was told that I have to fulfill the 90 day obligation per the contract regardless of the fact that there are no Crunch facilities in my area and I relocated because of work obligations.
I find it extremely disappointing that I would be charged club fees and annual dues for facilities that I cannot use, through no fault of my own. I relocated in a short time frame and am waiting to move into an apartment. In the meantime I'm living in a hotel and any extra expenses are are not necessary would add to extra financial stress during this transition. I would appreciate it if those fees would be waived, because of the circumstances. If I need to provide current address or my contract from work verifying my relocation, I would be happy to do so.
Thank you very much
Debbie M. Jones, LCSW

rude employee
March 14th around the 10am, I went in to workout. There are currently 4 squat racks at the Hamilton Mountain Upper James location. 3 of the 4 squat racks were currently in use and I was left to use one of the older racks. The rack I was using was at the location long before CRUNCH took over (it was a World Gym before) and this rack made alot of noise regardless of how you racked the weight. I did a few sets of standing overhead press and racked the weight. An employee came up to me and rather than give me a warning he started to rudely tell me off saying "You will respect my weights" and "Stop doing what you are doing." I asked for him to clarify what I was doing but he did not say only replying back "you know what you are doing." I got irritated and we had a few words with each other. He then threatened to cancel my membership. We went downstairs and this employee got one of the managers to cancel my membership. The manager said that "We do not cater to powerlifters." The cancellation was for "slamming" the weights
As I said before, the rack I was using is old and makes a lot of noise. Regardless of whether I "slammed" the or racked the weight quietly; it will make a noise. How loud it is is subjective to each individual. I have been training at that facility for a little more than a year and I have never received a complaint from anyone besides that rude employee (from what I have been told he just does maintenance at the gym). In all honesty I have only seen him twice from all the time I have been there. I was training in this facility before CRUNCH even took over. Its a great place to train, other patrons work hard and are motivating and the staff is good except for the employee mentioned.
membership cancellation
I submitted a written cancellation within 5 days as is noted on the contract but the Moreno Valley location did not cancel my membership-continued to charge my card and did so (so far) for two months which then constituted the annual fee being charged (after 2 months). I have asked them to cancel via writing and on the phone but to date, they have ignored my requests and have continued to charge me. I do not live in the city any longer and there is no club where I live so membership is irrelevant. This is bordering on fraud and I am pretty irritated at this point.
owner/manager harassment
On March 6th, I went to my local Crunch gym in Marlboro NJ to obviously workout. I've been a member of the "building", for 6 years with no incident. In the middle of changing, I was approached by a rude gentlemen that demanded I shut my phone off. I have a ring tone that was music. I told him to mind his business as I felt voilated as I was in a towel. As I was leaving the gym, the manager pulled me into the office and told me that my membership has been terminated. He was rude, didn't give me a reason for this decision. I requested in writing the reason why my membership was being canceled and the owner of the gym with no results. I recorded the incident. No one should ever be treated the way I was. I was bullied and targeted for no reason what so ever. Maybe the Salsa music that someone heard for 4 secs was the issue. He went into the cash draw and took $10 and gave it to me as this even belittled the situation. I am hurt, surprised, and disappointed in the behavior of people that are left to run this establishment. The attached video shows the actions of poor management and communication skills.
billing/cancelling membership
I have been dealing with these issues for 3 weeks now. It started when I wanted to downgrade both my acct. And Mark sextons acct. I spent $240 from jan. 8th to February 5th. I was refunded $40 after many phone calls and after multiple employees didn't know what they were doing. After I attempted to cancel both memberships the manager Jason, continues to give me the hardest time when I requested forms of verification that I have a zero balance and am no longer members of the crunch fitness center in citrus heights Ca. I would appreciate both printed/signed documents clearing Shea Mullin and Mark sextons acct information.
customer service
Formally writing a complaint on meridian Idaho crunch fitness located on fairview avenue. This is worst gym I've ever attended. I've written on crunch.com and can not get a response from anyone. My wife has seen the manager getting a blowjob in parking lot, staff never goes gym so always a mess they just sit in office downstairs. Kid who opens gym showed up 45 mins late last week. Many of us had to leave before doors even opened so we could make it to work. Construction has now been going for all 6 months of my membership and currently half the gym is closed so I can only use machines. No one who works out here is happy with current management since crunch bought the old gym out. FIX THIS PLACE! I want someone to contact me please so I can cancel my memenership and I want my money back!
