Home run
I recently bought a new bike in a different genre that I'm used to riding. I needed to get some different riding clothes, some gear for the bike, and a bit more.
James, here in Chattanooga was the bomb. He spent plenty of time with me and also gave me some time to look around so I didn't feel like he was hanging over my shoulder. I ended up buying quite a bit of stuff, and I'm really happy with everything I bought.
Amazing Staff
I went in to have my 9 year old son fitted for street riding gear and johnny was amazing with him. My son is picky on how helmets fit so johnny spent days making sure he was fitted properly and even took the time to install my sons intercom in his helmet. Hes the main reason i go back. Im headed back today for another helmet and when winter comes, ill be headed up to see johnny again. Best service ever. The ONLY place i go for gear!

Customer experience
Store employee also assisted me to check my size. Really helpful. If I can try it one with the same brand helmet in the store, that will be perfect. When I try it on at store, there is no any inventory of HJC helmet available. Because the design of each brand is slightly different, the level of comfortable is also different to different user. This helmet is not very fit to me but the overall of the product is good with promotion price.
CRF1100L AltRider skid plate
I saw a couple of YouTube videos about this skid plate installation. In both cases two of the four rear holes did not line up. I left the mount supplied with the kit loose and all bolts/screws linger up perfectly, then I tightened the mount bolts. I had to bend the skid plat on the left rear to allow space for the Honda OEM engine guards, but I did it with ease. It is a fantastic skid plate. I feel confident it will give me all the protection I need!
I bought the wrong shield, visor, pinlock for my helmet
You guys apparently don't carry any thing for the HJC RPHC 70. So when I searched for this helmet on your site is shows other face shields for other helmets and I did not look closely and I bought a face shield, and other things for the wrong helmet. I was able to return the face shield and visor but unable to return pinlock due to I put it on the shield. So I am out $. I have been looking for a replacement face shield for my helmet but you guys don't have them.
Alpinestars Tech 7
I ordered a pair of Alpinestars Tech-7 boots to boost my ADV motorcycle riding this Fall/Winter. I normally wear a size 10 on most shoes (Nike, NB, Danners, etc.) and the boots fit just right. The tech 7's fit very well with my wide feet and large calves. They seem very tough build and definitely provide a sense of security when riding. On the flip side, they tend to get a bit hot, if riding in hot weather. I'll do a follow up review after the fall/winter season.
My guys are the behind the scenes pit crew
The new Redwood City Store where Joel/Mike and their crew are like friends when I go into a local bar or restaurant?.I am greeted from the second my foot touches the showroom and from afar I feel like Norm from Cheers? It's not like welcome in but,'hey buddy how are things?' It's not salesman to customer instead it's a social friend experience?.Attention to details are one thing but like a real friend follow up I get a callback because Joel knowing the importance telling me he looked further into my needs saying the rear brake pads are the same as the fronts and says he can get them from the warehouse in 3 days?..
Gave it a shot
Alec at the CycleGear store in Orange, CT was a great person to work with. I was there to pick up an online order that I had shipped to the store. Alec was knowledgeable and helpful. In addition to the online order, I left with a helmet (Sedici) that I'm hoping will work out. Of the two items I was waiting for one was too large (small is out of stock currently), and the other, well that looks like it's going back also. It's a GIVI windscreen (Airflow 49). I read through the detailed instructions twice and then I read the sticker on the windshield. It specifically said that parking the bike where there is direct sunlight could negatively impact the windscreen for which GIVI would not be responsible.? I'm not planning on riding the bike only on cloudy days. Seems that something like that with a premium price should be able to handle any weather conditions. So, I'm not keeping that either. However, again, it was a pleasure to meet and work with Alec. Will continue to look through the CycleGear catalog for other alternatives.
Leather Chaps
Cycle Gear was having a good sale with less large discounts, so I went into the store to find out if any leather Chaps were in that sale.
Why did I go into the store? Because a person can waste a huge amount of time at the website, looking thru page after page of items that are not what you're looking for even after performing a VERY specific search!
But after only a couple minutes with one of the clerks in the store (most of them know me), i know WHAT (if anything) is in the sale, AND if any items are in the store.
When it comes to CLOTHING?
I will NOT buy online because you MUST try it on for fit!
Items of the SAME size (such as "Large" or "XL") are NOTORIOUSLY different between brands and between different items (say: jackets, compared to pants compared to helmets, or gloves)!
But within a few minutes in the store?
You know what's available, what's on sale and if they fit YOU well or not.
The clerks are always super helpful and really know their stuff. They also will find out pull up options or comparable gear you didn't know about and can differentiate between brands or styles when ONLINE?
There is NO WAY TO DO THAT and NO ONE to help you!
And I join with the 95% of us who WILL NOT waste our time with an online CHAT person because it is PAINFULLY SLOW, they MISUNDERSTAND what you are asking about, AND...
A live VOICE conversation that could take only 4 min TOTAL,
& clear up ANY confusion or misunderstanding that might occur along the way in a matter of SECONDS!
CHAT HELP, is BARELY help at ALL.
It is a waste of time in many cases and you STILL cannot SEE, WEAR, HOLD or TRY OUT the items you are interested in!
TAKE NOTE PLEASE:
We arent driving CARS!
We are riding MOTORCYCLES,
So we are EXPOSED & VULNERABLE, to HAZARDS & WEATHER!
There are VERY FEW ITEMS that we can buy ONLINE and be CERTAIN that they will perform/fit/work properly for US, besides having to wait and wait if we need to return an item
AGAIN... wasting valuable TIME and sometimes MONEY as well!
So I LOVE in-person shopping at the STORE, with PRO clerks who KNOW the inventory and have access to more information than we do!
EVEN if we end up ordering in an item!
I will KNOW that I made the best selection after they have helped me with knowledge I couldn't POSSIBLY have gotten online!

Mixed Experience with CycleGear's Online Ordering System
I've used CycleGear's website twice now to order some gear for my motorcycle. The first time, I wanted it shipped right to my house, but I ran into some trouble. They ended up canceling my order without telling me, which was pretty frustrating. I had to call them up to find out what was going on.
The second time, I decided to have my order shipped to the store instead. I figured that would be easier. But it still took a lot longer than they said it would. I had to make four phone calls before I finally got my order. The guy helping me was really nice and tried to be as helpful as possible, but it still took forever.
I was starting to get pretty annoyed, but I didn't want to cancel my order because I really needed the gear. Finally, I had to threaten to cancel before they really got moving on it.
Overall, I'm not super impressed with CycleGear's online ordering system. It seems like they have some kinks to work out. But the guy who helped me was really nice, so that's something. I'm not sure if I'll order from them again, though.
Disappointing Experience with CycleGear's Online Order and Pickup Process
I recently made an order on CycleGear's website and requested that my order be shipped to a dealership to be picked up with the bike that I just bought. However, I was disappointed with the way they handled my request. They told me that my purchase was fraudulent and that I would have to pay via a wire transfer, which would not be protected under their return policy. I was frustrated with their lack of trust in me and their unwillingness to work with me to find a solution.
It's disappointing to see a company treat their customers this way. I was hoping for a better experience, especially since their store locations do not stock inventory. I ended up buying everything locally, at the same dealership that I bought the bike. It's a shame that CycleGear lost a $1200+ sale due to their ignorance and lack of intelligence.
I wonder how many other customers have had similar experiences with CycleGear. It's important for companies to treat their customers with respect and trust. I hope that CycleGear takes steps to improve their customer service and policies to prevent situations like this from happening in the future.
Overall, I would not recommend CycleGear to others. There are plenty of other options out there that offer better customer service and policies. It's important to do your research and choose a company that values their customers and their business.
Cycle Gear's Negligence Put My Life at Risk: A Warning to All Potential Customers
I recently bought a Dianese D-Air jacket from Cycle Gear and was told by the store manager that the product was ready to use. However, this was not the case. The manager did not activate the vest, leaving the shipping/shorting plugs in it and the wires unattached to the gas canisters for use as an air-bag vest. I rode with the jacket for 1&1/2 years until I updated the software and it wouldn't go green, flashing a blinking yellow instead, indicating an issue. I took it back to Cycle Gear, but they told me to take it to Dianese as they didn't have any test equipment.
When I took it to Dianese, the technicians were shocked to find that Cycle Gear never made the vest ready to deliver to the customer, which is a requirement. They stated that it had never worked and that for the last 1&1/2 years, it would never have activated in a crash. When I went back to Cycle Gear with this information, the store personnel stated that the company refuses to train them, provides no equipment, and doesn't care.
I am now suing Cycle Gear for gross negligence, incompetence, and putting my life at risk by voiding my purchase and attempt to mitigate serious injury and/or death by purchasing an air-bag system and wearing it religiously on every ride while it didn't work. It's clear that Cycle Gear did all this in the name of GREED, and at the expense of their customers' safety and well-being.
I strongly advise against buying from Cycle Gear. Their lack of concern for their customers' safety is appalling, and they clearly prioritize profit over the well-being of their customers. Don't put your life at risk by purchasing from them.
Cycle Gear/Revzilla Review: Great Gear Options, But Return Policy Needs Work
Cycle Gear and REvzilla are the same company, and let me tell you, as a smallish female, finding gear that fits properly has been a real struggle. Helmets have been especially tough to find the right fit for. I've tried going to the physical store, but even then, I've come home with a jacket that was way too tight and helmet pads that gave me migraines. The "gear geeks" were of very little help, unfortunately.
One thing that really bothers me is that most of the merchandise listed on the Revzilla and Cycle Gear websites is not sold in stores, so there's no way to try anything on before buying. And even though they advertise free returns, they have a lifetime 25% restocking fee on all returns. That's insane! Motorcycle gear is already so expensive, and to have a quarter of the original price taken away because I have no way of knowing if something will fit or not is just not fair.
I understand that I may have returned an excessive amount of stuff, but it's not like I have any control over store inventory or the fact that the motorcycle world is relatively clueless about the proportions of women's bodies. I'm being penalized for circumstances completely beyond my control.
That being said, I have spent a lot of money on gear from Revzilla/CG, and I wish they would stand by their policy of free returns no matter what. If they're going to give customers the opportunity to try things on before buying, then they should only list things for sale that are available in the store. It's frustrating to not be able to try things on before buying, and then to be penalized for returning items that don't fit properly.
Overall, I think Cycle Gear has a lot of great gear options, but their return policy needs some work. It's not fair to penalize customers for circumstances beyond their control, especially when it comes to finding gear that fits properly.
Cycle Gear Lomita: The Ultimate Motorcycle Destination with Exceptional Customer Service!
Cycle Gear is the place to go for all your motorcycle needs! I recently visited the Lomita location and was blown away by the amazing staff. They are so knowledgeable about everything they sell in the store and give fantastic advice. The best part is that they are so polite and always remember my name and even the motorcycles I have! I've been to a few different Cycle Gear locations, but the Lomita location is my favorite. When I walk in, I am greeted with a very kind hello and asked how I'm doing before I have any questions about something that I'm interested in buying! Anthony, Sam, and especially Alli, are so very helpful and I've never had such nice customer service anywhere in my life!
Maybe it's just the love of motorcycles that we all share, but it feels like a family vibe at Cycle Gear. I feel welcome as a part of the Cycle Gear family. Alli and Anthony have always remembered my name since the first time meeting them, and I recently just met Sam, who was so very helpful as well! Plus, even before I met these wonderful people, when I've been in there in the past before they worked there, I was always treated with respect and never felt awkward about asking questions, or asking more personal questions, and this is where Alli really helps, and just a little help with, "what do you think about this color on me?" Lol, but it's just helpful to feel comfortable enough to ask such a question.
Long story short, the Lomita location is my one stop shop for everything I need, from gloves to boots, and everything in-between! I highly recommend you going to this location, and ask for any of these people, for some very friendly and informed staff, any questions or help you might need, and you'll be very pleased with how friendly and helpful everyone there is! It's been an honor to write this review, and thank you for reading this.
Rocking Experience at CycleGear: A Special Shoutout to Angel - The Coolest Associate!
CycleGear rocks! I just got a great experience there with their associate Angel. 113081, she's the coolest! Angel was such a pleasure to deal with, so friendly and professional at the same time. It made my day when I walked into the store and was greeted by such a fantastic individual. Angel knew everything there was to know about the products and could help me choose the best gear for my bike. She was an absolute gem!
I gotta give CycleGear a special shoutout for employing such wonderful people. They sure know how to hire the right kind of staff. You can tell that they really care about their customers and want them to have a great experience. If you're ever in need of some sweet cycle gear, then CycleGear is the place to be. They've got all kinds of awesome products for all your biking needs.
Darrell Richards here, signing off with pure satisfaction. Thank you, Angel and CycleGear, for making my shopping experience totally kickass!
CycleGear: Reliable Service and Dope Return Policy - A Must for Gear Shopping
I never had any probs with CycleGear and they got a dope return policy, so I don't stress over buying stuff from them. Would def recommend to anyone lookin' to buy gear for their ride.
Positive Experience with CycleGear: Great Selection, Membership Program, Minor Website Issues
Bought some gloves, a jacket, and some accessories and they all came in good condition and on time. I also like how they offer a membership program where I can earn points to use towards future purchases. Their selection of products is pretty good, I found everything I needed for my motorcycle. However, the website can be a little slow at times and it took me a while to find what I was looking for. Additionally, some of the descriptions for the products could be more detailed. But overall, I had a positive experience with CycleGear and will definitely shop there again in the future.
Disappointing Online Shopping Experience with CycleGear: Coupons and Customer Service Issues
CycleGear is not that great of an online store. Their coupons don't always seem to work, and if you have to contact customer service, you might not have a great experience. It seems like they don't really value their loyal customers either. They won't throw in any freebies or discounts, even if you've shopped with them multiple times. I would suggest considering other options and maybe staying away from CycleGear.
CycleGear Preorder Experience: Disappointing and Unreliable Service
I tried buying a helmet from CycleGear and lent them my trust by paying in full for the preorder. They said it would be coming in by mid to late March, which gave me great expectations. Unfortunately, I was left hanging and couldn't get any updates for a week even after sending several emails. It was only after I prodded them that they replied, telling me that it might end up being April instead. I couldn't accept such a long wait and decided to cancel my preorder and asked for a full refund. It's saddening that CycleGear didn't even try to make things right and offer some form of compensation for the inconvenience they caused. My experience was a total disappointment and I won't be returning to CycleGear again.
CycleGear Complaints 9
Dainese women's leather jacket
I went to return a jacket I bought where I had the receipt, the package tags, and the jacket had only been worn once because I hated it so much. I walked in, asked, and before the jacket could even be evaluated, looked at, or breathed on, the employee turned me down and said I had worn it, so it's mine now and that he wouldn't help me. He did not explain the return policy, look at the jacket, or really acknowledge me. Additionally it's the same employee who sold me this horrible jacket. I was disappointed as I really just wanted to return it or get store credit since it's a brand new jacket.
Desired outcome: A refund or store credit or simply a decent respectful explanation of why I cannot return it. Or any suggestions on how to sell it because I hate this jacket so much.
CycleGear Review: Decent Gear at Reasonable Prices, but Confusing Website and Limited Shipping Options
Yo, so I ordered some XL gear from CycleGear and when it arrived, it was hella tight. Like, I couldn't even move my arms properly. But after three rides, it's starting to loosen up and fit better. So that's a plus.
I gotta say though, their website is kinda confusing. Like, it took me a minute to figure out how to find what I was looking for. But once I did, they had a decent selection of stuff.
The prices are pretty reasonable too. I mean, it's not like super cheap or anything, but it's not crazy expensive either. And they have sales and stuff sometimes, so that's cool.
One thing that kinda sucks though is that they don't have a lot of options for shipping. Like, you can't choose a faster option or anything. But I guess that's not a huge deal.
Overall, I'd say CycleGear is aight. They got some good gear at decent prices, but their website could be better and their shipping options are limited.
CycleGear Review: Great Selection and Helpful Staff, but Prices a Bit High
giant. But, I decided to stick around and check out what they had in store. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of gear they had available. From helmets to jackets, they had it all. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though I didn't end up buying anything. They answered all my questions and gave me some great advice on what to look for when buying gear.
One thing I did notice was that their prices were a bit higher than what I could find online. But, I guess that's the price you pay for being able to try things on before you buy them. Overall, I had a good experience at CycleGear and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for motorcycle gear. Just make sure to check their website before you make the trip to the store!

Disappointing Experience with CycleGear: Slow Service and Lack of Updates
CycleGear used to be really good at getting customers what they wanted fast with lots of updates. But now, I just have my stuff delivered to their store and either pick it up or go somewhere else. That's it, I'm done!
Mixed Experience with CycleGear: Delayed Order and Lack of Communication
I've been a loyal customer of CycleGear for a while now and I've always been satisfied with my purchases. However, my recent experience with them was a bit of a letdown. I ordered a new helmet headset from their website and was excited to receive it within a few days. The website stated that it would ship within 1 business day, so I was expecting it to arrive soon.
However, 4 days later, I checked the status of my order and it was still showing as "pending pickup by the carrier (USPS)". I was a bit disappointed as I was eagerly waiting for my new headset. I decided to contact their customer service to inquire about the delay. Unfortunately, they were not much help and couldn't provide me with any information on when my order would be shipped.
I understand that delays can happen, but I was disappointed with the lack of communication from CycleGear. It would have been nice to receive an update on the status of my order, even if it was delayed. Despite this hiccup, I still appreciate the quality of products that CycleGear offers and will continue to shop with them in the future.
Disappointing Shipping Experience with CycleGear: Not Recommended for Urgent Orders
I bought a part for my bike from CycleGear and I was pretty disappointed with the shipping. I paid extra for overnight shipping, which cost me a pretty penny, but it didn't arrive when it was supposed to. They sent me a message saying that they had shipped it a day after I placed the order, but it still took three more days to get to me. I was hoping that they would send it out on the same day that I ordered it, since I put in the order at 8 am, before they even opened. But nope, no such luck.
If you're in a hurry to get your parts, I wouldn't recommend using CycleGear. They don't seem to be very good at expedited shipping. It's a shame, because I've heard good things about their products and prices. But if you need something in a hurry, you might want to look elsewhere.
Overall, I'm not too happy with my experience with CycleGear. The part I ordered was fine, but the shipping was a letdown. I hope they can improve their shipping times in the future, because I'd like to give them another chance. But for now, I'll be looking for other options.
CycleGear's Shipping and Customer Service Needs Improvement
I bought some shoes from CycleGear on May 23rd. The website said they'd ship in 1-2 business days, but it's now June 6th and I still haven't got them. I've been emailing customer service, but they're not very quick to reply. When they do reply, they just blame their supplier for the delay. It's really frustrating because I need the shoes for a class in two weeks and I don't know if I'll have them in time. CycleGear really needs to get their act together and sort out their shipping and tracking issues.
