misleading information / poor customer service
Arrived at Restaurant at 7:00 pm and placed our names on the waiting list for a dinner table. At this time we were told the wait would be approximately 35-45 minutes and were given a pager to tell us when our table became available.
After waiting 45 minutes, we went back to check on the remaining wait time and were told that it would be in excess of another hour (at that time we were told the waiting times for people just arriving were about 2 hours). When I questioned this, and told them we were told 35-45 minutes when we arrived 45 minutes ago, we were told that the hostess "should not have told you that--We are not supposed to give anything other than an approximate wait time and currently, that would be two hours".
We indicated that we would not have stayed and waited if we had been told it would be a two hour wait when we arrived and that the misleading information we received led us to wait unreasonably. The person that we made this complaint to was not at all contrite and seemed to think that since the hostess that "erroneously" told us 45 minutes making an error should be explanation enough for our wasted time...
I am NOT complaining about the fact that there seemed to be a two hour wait for a table at this establishment, I AM complaining that the people "greeting" customers didn't show ANY consideration or a willingness to make amends for an error that the business clearly made.
Further, if the business has a policy of NOT telling customers anything other than a vague estimate (that could be wrong), I think other consumers should know this before they encounter the problem themselves.

coupon/consumer fraud
We went to D&B with the kids because we received Free $20 with $20 purchase coupons. The kids also had gift cards they wanted to cash in so we decided on a family evening. We arrived and they accepted my son's coupon but when my daughter presented hers we were told "only 1 coupon per customer". Duh, I told the cashier that each one of us is a customer. She then proceeded to tell me that the coupon was not valid because my son used it. I showed her the text of the coupon and it did not specify any restrictions. I also mentioned that this is considered consumer fraud. A policeman was there and stood behind us, sensing we were going to make a scene. We never were treated this way at D&B before. A phone call to the company's headquarters was not returned. A complaint and possible lawsuit will be filed against the company.

My boyfriend & I wen to dave & busters for an evening of game a couple drinks & dinner, mind you we've been coming to this specific dave & busters for the past 2 years. This time on sunday we decided to go a little earlier then usual & was attended by a new waitress I dont exactly remember her name, she was very nice & friendly when we were seated, but once we were served the food she was very quick, too quick to bring us the check. Rushing us out, over & over again. I guess because her shift was over & was waiting for her tip. I mean another gentleman came up to us & said he was taking over for our hostess, then disappeared & she was back. He worse part is that had serve a medium rare burger when asked for a well done, I bugg her for it, to ate the edges that were well cooked. After dinning we played a couple of games then headed to catch a movie, during the movie I started getting a massive headache, now i'm not the type that gets head aches at all very rarely, & much less this serve. After the movie I went home I felt horrible bloated tummy aches huge head ache. Turns out the burger was bad & I had gotten food poisoning from it. I'm still recovering, it sucks to have to spend such a beautiful day in doors cause of food poisoning & a sloppy waitress.

Im sorry to hear that you got food poisoning. I'm a server at a Dave & Buster's in california and that would've never happened...sounds like she just shouldn't be a server cause the idea is to make the customer happy, and all she had to do was take it back to the kitchen and have the cooks throw it on the grill for another 5 minutes or so.

Dave & Busters staff verbally and pysically assulted me during my visit there. I have been there many times before but never have I been so humiliated. Never visit this place!

I was assaulted as well! And kicked out for no reason.. The manager came up from behind me wrestled my beer out of my hand. Shouted it was his beer for me to let go and leave his bar. He told me he would call the cops when I sat down to call the cops he asked me to leave. PAUL MARTINEZ IS AN A HOLE. got pictures of bruising on my arms and wrists.
Last week, I went to Norfolk, VA, to visit my Son and his family. He and I each got the $27.99 meal, which included the play card and my Granddaughter ordered the macaroni and cheese. We ate, played games and took home a couple of prizes. What really upset me was...
1. Seated ourselves, since there was no one at the station to eat us
2. Had to go and get our server, to let her know that we had seated ourselves.
3. The waitress was obviously stressed and it showed.
4. We the saw (we're guessing) the Manager, who was bussing some of the many tables, that were filled with plates, glasses, etc.
5. Our burgers, were actually good.
6. My Granddaughter asked if she could have a "refill" on her mac and cheese. It came in a small bowl and was about 1/3 full. She is not a big, or fast eater and I actually commented to my Son about the portion. Boxed mac and cheese!
7. Our waiter said that she would be "right back" with soda refills. I was almost empty and my Son was empty, BEFORE we got our meals. We got our refills, as we were sitting there talking, AFTER WE HAD ALREADY EATEN OUR DINNERS!
8. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the service and portions!
I recently busted Dave and busters in Pelham ny to celebrate my birthday with my daughters and little cousin. After spending hundreds of dollars on games I decided to eat dinner there. While I was eating my nachos I found a long hair in my lettuce. I told the waitress and she was on her way to make a new one I then told her to cancel the order. I just didn't feel to eat it since I was so turned off by the hair. Then manager then comes out and asks what's the problem. I told him the issue and he said ok they'll bring another one out for you. Explained that I didn't want a new one and he just walked away. He didn't apologize mor did anyone ask me how I was for the rest of my stay there. I paid my bill and walked out. Passing the manager who once again said nothing. I was expecting him to at least apologize and tell me to enjoy the rest of my evening or something similar. I am highly disappointed and will not be visiting that location again.

Hello i just left Dave and Busters in St Louis on Riverport Drive. I had a great time after spending 850 dollars and got doubled charge. I love that place and its fun but the management was an [censor] he kicked us out without saying thank you for comming, come back again, please come back, sorry you gotta go we are closing...but no we got a very rude guy named Mike saying You got to get out after speending a lot of money was not a pleasent way to end the night!

Beware !...Stay Away! from this place. I was here with 25+ coworkers, together combined we spent "hundreds" of Dollars on food and drinks. We received very poor service from the staff. The "bartenders" are very RUDE!, offensive and confrontational. We had cluttered table tops as the waiters did not take away our empty drinks. also kept on carding our group in a rude manner after 4 hours of "selling" us the "same drinks". If you complain to bartender's or the so called assistant general manager named "Brandon Ball", they will offend you and throw you out on the street. These people are seriously cruel and cold hearted with no consideration and regards for their customer's. If you have a large group gathering, go elsewhere. Service was lower than "one star".There are better places to spend your $100's and receive decent and respectful service. Good Luck !..
Terrible Place! I made my Birthday party there and invited 18 people. The waitress was rude and was ignoring my friends. A different waiter took our order and said we had all doubled our meals when we had not! He accused us of lying and was not professional. They did not want to split the check because it was time consuming. The manager was the same way. He wanted things his way and did not try to make us happy in any way. They messed up out bill and did not match the playing cards to the plates. Terrible experienced! Not recommended! The manager and the waiter came out laughing from the kitchen. Rude and unprofessional! This was the location in San diego.
i have a gold card with dave and busters, went every wen, with my kids, i and my kids will never go back to any dave and busters because of the way i was treated in tulsa! management was rude, mans name was brad and dave amuesment manager, said i was bumped a coin game, when tulsa opened was nice place to visit, i spent on avreage about a hundred dollars every wens, throw your d&b cards away; spent your money were they will resect you and your family!thank for making me and my family feel welcomed!

My friends and I were at Dave and Busters celebrating a birthday when this ###ed Manager (first name Alan) came up to us at the bar and told us to pay our tab and meet him up front. He was so scared to explain his action that he had to get another manager to explain to us that with 10 people we had 17 drinks within a 2 hour time frame and that was considered too much. We explained to him that we are frequent customers of the establishment that this manager has been harassing us every time we go there on Thursday nights. This other manager on duty did not want to hear what we were telling him and just walked away. After he paid for the bill and walked to the front to meet (Alan) he never showed up. We waited for about 15 minutes and then went back to find him at the Midway bar asking some other customer to take a survey and give him a good review or something. In exchange he will give that person a game card filled with credits. When we approached him and ask if he was ever going to meet us up front as he had requested he said "God Bless" and walked away like a baboon. Needless to say corporate should be expecting a call from me.

On Saturday, May 17th, I went to Dave and Buster with family. My first time there. There was one waiter waiting on people on one side. When I took my wallet out to minutes my bill, I took my debit card out and paid the bill. I laid my wallet down on the counter and didn't realize that I didn't put it back in my bag...two and I realized I left it on the counter...2 minutes and it was gone. Strange, there was not one behind me when I was paying my bill...you had to look real hard to see the wallet because it was the same color as the menus...black...so how does a wallet disappear in two minutes? Top it off, I gave the water a $6 tip but when I later looked at my receipt he had already added the tip in the cost of my food. I ask myself how does a wallet disappear in two minutes and there are no cameras around the bar? Now, I have the pain of cancelling all my cards, get new ID and I won't be going to Dave & Busters anymore in Bethesda, Maryland. They could have taken the $4 and change I had in the wallet but left my IDs and other cards for me. Just utterly ridiculous and I hope whoever took it fall to some bad happenings!

This was my very first time at dave & busters, I am of legal age to drink, and I thought it would be fun. It was the worst experience ever. My friend was almost refused entry because he did not have a california id, but he has two military ids, as well as his new york id. When he was allowed to enter, we decided to get some drinks, but the managers and the bartender said that he could not drink, even with the ids that he used to allow entry. Me and another friend, bought a couple of drinks, and I allowed him, to drink some of mine, and the managers and security guards swarmed him, and kicked him out. It was rude, and uncalled for. If someone has id, two of them government issued, and one in the united states, he should be allowed in and drink. Your managers are rude, and the bartenders are snobs, even the bus boy I asked to grab a bartenders attention snubbed me. The business really needs to rethink their customer service at this location, because, if you look at yelp.com there are alot of complaints.

I’m in total disbelief regarding my 7/10/2020 experience at the Dave & Busters located in Hoover Al. This place is mismanaged and the staff and managers lack customer relations. The manager told me to get the “F” out of his store when I made an attempt to complain about the service. Yep you heard me “the manager” The business really needs to rethink their customer service at this location. Dave and Busters in Nashville Tennessee is the most useless organization ever Opry Mills Mall is great but Dave & Buster's makes me want to throw up their management is rude staff if you can find any staff members there's always a 30 minute wait in the dining room it always telling me we don't have enough staff I told him manager then shut the place down it's not my fault you can't find people who want to work I'm never going back there again driving 45 minutes just to have some manager try to talk down to me like I'm a child and don't even say call the corporate line file complaint I did 3 times I guess nobody working in the the corporate office either way to go Dave and Buster's you guys finally get my officially you suck reward gratulations
I've never been so disappointed and unsatisfied but mostly embarrassed. We had one great date night with you guys and I bragged you up to all my family and friends on how great the food and service was. And it was total opposite. I planned a party there's group of 14 came and waited when I already had a reservation planned the food was terrible and on top of it I got charged money for a game card and you didn't even put the point on my card. Then your employee wanted to argue with me even though inhad the receipt and time and wouldn't give me my money back. I told everyone about my experience. I'll never go back there again. And I still didn't get reimbursed the money that was taking from me! This is the Livonia location. You should be proud of how your business is ran..right into the ground. Which was were my food ended up and then tried serving it to me. Thank god the table next to us saw it or I would have ate it! Terrible
On July 18th my family and visited Dave and busters in Pelham manor ny around 6.00pm. Upon entering we made reservation to dine in. The manager Matt was there he said it was about an hour wait. We decided to wait so with the four kids in tow and four adults we went off to play games while we waited.we de joyed the games while we waited. Finally the beeper went off one of the adults in my party went to the desk and was told to wait twenty mins while they cleared the table. Why set the alarm off if the table wasn't ready. Ok we went back to playing waiting to be called. Half hour later the beeper went off again we gathered up the troops and went to the desk hoping to be seated. The hostess were shuffling around looking confused. One of them informed me our table was given to another party of eight so give them a minute. Well it wasn't a minute try ten. Then the manager came back and said my table would be ready in a min because someone spiilt something and they're cleaning it up. At this point I'm pissed and ready to go but the kids were hungry. Finally ten minutes later we sat down gave our order which took another 30 mins. One of the things I ordered was a chicken quesadilla .when it came it was dry and no chicken to be found maybe pepper quesadilla would be a better name. Called the manager Matt over he said he was sorry and would change it. What a waste of time all they did was put more cheese not chicken. To say the least disappointed again. Told Matt again he said he was sorry and he would take it off my bill . And offered to give me a dessert to make up for the problem my kids were excited and ordered the strawberry fondue . If he was trying to right the wrong it went horribly wrong because after waiting half hour I paid the bill and left. To me he should have taken the time himself and got the dessert and brought it to the table. I would not eat there again or recommend anyone going there.
wow. If I had come here to read all of the above complaints BEFORE we went to the Orlando store today, I sure could have had a better day than I had going there. Today was a special day for us and, to be doing something new, we wanted to try the Dave and Busters in Orlando for dinner and some fun. To be clear, this location is over an hour drive from where we live. We preregistered online several days ago, so we could take advantage of the free game play offered just for signing up, and we had received the email telling us we were entitled to the free $10 gaming, etc, JUST FOR REGISTERING OUR POWER CARD. So we got to the store and purchased our first power card (also utilizing the free game play coupon we received in the 2nd email that we got). We wanted to eat first, so we sat down in the restaurant and ordered. We wanted to start taking advantage of the power card benefits immediately, so after we ordered I tried to add the power card to my account using the internet, from my phone. The system said something like "invalid card", and refused to take the number. I tried again and it failed again, so I got up and went up to the kiosk to put the power card on our account. The system would not take it. It said to try later. So I went to the lady at the front register who sold us the card and complained. I told her I was trying to add the card to our account. to register the power card. Guess what she told me to do: turn the card over with the picture on the bottom, then swipe it.
That is not the directions given on the kiosk but, since this was my first visit and she was obviously and experienced employee, I went back to try again. We wanted to start taking advantage of the power card benefits, like the rules say we are now entitled to do, immediately. That didn't help, as you know, and had the employee that directed that been listening to me, instead of shooing me off, I wouldn't have had to go through that failure again. So I went back to the front register and complained again. This time the same lady came with me to the kiosk so she could assist me. First thing I noticed, she didn't swipe it upside down like she told me to, before, and when I asked her about it, she ignored my question.
She couldn't get it to work, either. The system was not taking the card. Now she told me to use it a little (on the games ?) then come back and try later. I tried to explain the we were already eating and that we wanted to put our food on the power card. She couldn't help me and I could only try later.
So I went back to the table to eat and waiter overheard the problems we were having and he asked to be able to assist us. he offered to transfer our points, or chips, or whatever you call them before any play has begun, to another card so we could try that one.
I asked about our credits from the first card and he assured me that he has dome this before and that no one ever has any issues, so we agreed.
He reminded me that I needed to get it registered to our account before we pay our food and drink bill, to take advantage of the promotions, etc., so I tried it on the internet again. Again it failed. So I went to the kiosk again, and this time it said something like "the card has not been registered to be eligible for rewards", which, from our point of view, is a failure.
So this time when I turned around to the front register a man asked me how he could assist me. I asked to speak to a manager and he identified himself as a manager. I started telling him the above story, in the order it happened, and he interrupted me to tell that the problem was that the card was not yet registered.
I explained that that is what I was telling him, that we cannot register the card to our account. That the system was not taking it so we can't take advantage of having the card on our account yet. So, then he started telling me that we had to wait 24 to 72 hours for the email to come...
So I went back to eat. I'm sure that you can imagine that since your employees don't listen to the customers, it was getting pretty aggravating. At that point no one had apologized that the system wasn't working. Everyone automatically treated me like I was doing something wrong in the process.
A woman who we assumed to be the restaurant shift manager came by our table asking us about our experience, so far, and the waiter told her about our troubles. She told him not to cash out our order until she got the opportunity to fix this for us; to let her know when we were ready to go with her to the kiosk to fix it.
When she assisted, the outcome was that since the card was now transferred from the original card, there was nothing she could do. She did try, but it failed. She apologized, but did not offer anything as a consolation, and she did not escalate to any one else. "oh well. you shouldn't have transferred the card"
So that pretty much soured the rest of our time there, and we hurried out. We will tell everyone we hear about that talks about going there, about our bad experience.
Nothing will become of this, here, of course. There's no place to give my information for follow-up. I'll call corp office when they open. probably waste more of my time...thanks Dave and Busters! (not)

Valet parking tried to charged us in back parking lot on fairdale ln, he said 10$ to park, we told him do you charge for dave and buster customers? he said anybody who want to park here have to pay and all those cars parked in this lot were from a bar around the corner called" the prospect park", very rude valet guy he just want his freakin 10$ and i think this parking lot is supposed to be an additional parking for dave and buster and FREE!, well disappointing management and we will never come back .
RASIST! Thats what the greeder is! I went yesterday 6/08/2013 in addison illinois i tried to have a fun time with my gf. As sson as we walk in a tall old african american stops us and ask for our ID's i say shure i show him my matricula (mexican american ID) and dnt eaven look at my age just says i cant let you in "i dnt accept that id" so i was like fine i went back to my car and serched the policy of identifications and it states
"you must have a valid identification card issued by a state governmental agency containing your photograph, date of birth, height, sex and color of eyes."
My ID card has everithing that the policy states so i called diffrent D&B and asked they accept it exept the one in addison if other D&B accept then that means its just this rasist B... While i was still in the parking lot i called them on the phone and the same black man aswered n told him why not if the policy states that and he sayd " other D&B havent updated there policy" and when i heard that i just hanged up before a blew up and yell at him inside for being a rasist.
I am going to call D&B and put a complain raisism is not tolerable any more

Here's a good one. I have had 2 of my sons birthday parties at D&B in the past. The first party was in a shared space which was fine. The 2nd party was reserved for the dining room which was also fine. When I tried to book a party this year, I was told that I could no longer reserve a table in the dining room because they no longer take reservations. So I had a few other choices. One was to take a dinner package (which the food menu was too limited for the adults). The second was to book a table in the shared space with a $300.00 minimum purchase! There is no way that a party of 12 including 5 kids can consume that much food and beverage! My last option was to take a chance and wait for a table to accommodate me. I'm very disappointed and will never book another function there again!
My recent experience at the Dave and Busters in Addison, IL was terrible. It was my son’s birthday and my daughter and nieces were playing games and collected 580 tickets. They gave their tickets to the person at the counter and swipe it on their card. The kids picked out what they wanted and when the card was swiped, it showed zero tickets. We argued that we saw them swipe the same card and given them the tickets, the person at the counter refused and argue that a different card was used. Called up the manager and they stood by their employee. Are you kidding me? We are talking about 580 tickets NOT 5000. They were willing to loose customer because of 580 tickets. My son was heart broken on his birthday due to this experience. There is no feedback information on their website except for would you recommend us. My big answer is DEFINITELY NOT. In fact I will make sure none of my family, friends, co-workers visit another Dave and Buster location again.
food poisoning
My girlfriend and I decided to go to Dave & Buster's on 3/20/08 (Sat) to have some fun playing arcades, etc...
We ordered some food around 8:30pm (buffalo chicken sandwich, dave & buster's trio platter, grilled chicken sandwich). About 1hr after we ate the food, both of our stomaches started to ache. Around 12am that night, both of us started throwing up, showed symptoms of extreme diarrhea, headaches, etc...
We believe it is food poisoning from either the chicken or another frozen item.

I tried a couple times to play this one game, but before I knew it, my last 45 points/credits/whatever were all gone because of a "hard error".
Was told I was hired but needed approval of a gm his gross mishandling of my rehire borders on pure neglect I'm struggling and he made me call him for 2 weeks when I was told by another manager he would call me never called me and now dosent have a soft for me because of his actions wish I could at least get some accountability
Hello I have a question about the reward program. I have both my power cards linked to my account. But now when I sign into my account there are no power cards listed. And when I try to add them it shows it is already on another account but it isn’t
Horrible service,I only got one refill, the food was practically moldy, by the time they brought my food to me,it was freezing cold.the workers were rude,and they practically spit in my face.
I applied for a barback job and it won't accept my ssc even though it is correct at the end of your job application even though it accepted before that... Just trying to get a job
We had gone to Dave and busters not too long ago. I went with some friends but when we had gone to go recharge my card the girl had asked if i had anyone 25 and older with me and i told her no and she said i couldn't go in the play area when i literally saw some people near my age go in there without any adult and they could recharge their card.
I was waiting for a table in the bar area and asked a waiter can she clear the table, she told me to "wait" and did not return for 15 minutes. I asked for a manager, who did nothing about the situation. It took 30 minutes to receive my check, after waiting for my waiter, I was told that she is now hosting a large party. I was dissatisfied overall.
We are currently at the Dave and Busters bear Castelton in Indianapolis. Our waitress never came out to check on us. Currently we've been waiting 30 min to ask for our check and no sign of her. We asked a different waiter who refused to help us. We're essentially hostage and can't leave.

My friends and I decided to go to Dave and Busters for a night out. We spent over $200 on food, drinks, and games. However, we were kicked off our game during the game we "paid" for. It was 12:01 and closing is at 12. The security guard had the audacity to stand in front of the playing screen to get us out.
I would like a refund
Not only did it take a waiter 15 minutes to acknowledge us, but once we got out drinks 15 additional minutes later this is what they brought out. It was supposed to be a mojito. When I asked one of the workers that were walking by for a menu, they replied with "what's up".
