hotel rooms
Hello,
This past weekend my family and I stayed at the Days Inn in Bordentown, NJ. We checked in Friday night and were assigned rooms 167 and 169. As I walked in 167 the room smelled like cat urine so bad I had to hold my breath. I propped the door open and went into room 169. Room 169 had a joke in the carpet and the chair was falling apart. We closed up the rooms and went out for a bit. When we returned the smell in 167 was so bad we went to the front desk. We requested a room change and they moved us up to 267 and 269. As we entered 269 it looked better but we didn't have a security lock on our door, our shower curtain had holes, the lights were falling off the walls, the sick was cracked, the comforters had holes in them, and the showerhead was loose. Room 267 had a toilet that didn't flush and a sink that didn't go down. We complained and they fixed it but then the tub wasn't doing down well, there were several bugs, our children found a lighter, there was a plate to electric wires that was cracked and the wires were exposed, and the neighbors on the other were loud and left shot glasses everywhere. The hotel was very run down and dated but the staff were very pleasant. Overall we had a horrible stay and are truly dissatisfied with our stay. We were not at all comfortable in our stay there.
I am complaining about the quality of the room...
Our room was Absolutely gross! The carpet was all stained up in several different spots. The bathroom fools had all kinds of stuff on them in the corners and a long the wall above the tub the wall was breaking and all messed up. The refrigerator Was all rusty and nasty. The wall had filth all over them! The lamp by the bed was so gross had a build up of grit and grime all over it! The bed Mattresses did not even fit the bed looked like the cheapest one they could find and it was like sleeping on the floor! And the outside of the building before you ever walked in to the right of the door the whole column was broken and Looked as if it could fall at any time I did not get a picture of that! We took our kids to the pool and some neighborhood people that didn't even rent a room showed up and was drink and swimming at the pool being very loud and even chilled out front of the Hotel and no one said anything just let them hang out no one said anything just let them hang out made it very uncomfortable from our family!
cancellation and customer service
Made reservation through booking.com in March. Evening of 4/12 I called to request the room to be pet friendly. The morning of 5/9 I called the hotel back to let them know that I didnt need a pet friendly room. I was told that I had cancelled my reservation on 4/12 when I made the original request. The man who I spoke with was not concerned with the issue. I asked ro speak to a manager and was told he would be in after 8pm. I called that night at 8:06, got the same man(had accent) and was told the manager was not in. I said it was after 8pm and got the response "so because its after 8 you expect him to be here" I said yes you told me he would be in them. Magically the manager was in. He again told me that I cancelled but I told him I did not, never got any cancellation email and my reservation still was showing on booking.com. He reinstated my room. Today The person who was going to room with me cancelled on me. I asked the hotel to make a one time exception and waive the fee. The manager called me (think his name was Tom) and said he was not going to cancel, proceeded to tell at me because I needed to cancel. He did after I made him reinstate my reservation nownI wanted it cancelled. Told him he didnt have to be rude to me. He still kept yelling at me saying he wasn't gonna do anything. He also then hung up on me. He must have called me from his cell because the number came up private. After all the hassle with the initial reservation issue no one is willing to waive the fee. Stephanie who works there said she would call me with the cancel fee amount. Never got a call back from her. Just saw the charge placed on my account. All I am asking for is the fee refunded. I REFUSE to work with that manager and would like to speak with someone else. Please call me back [protected]
hotel
So gross! Cigarette smelling rooms that haven't been cleaned. Out dated and dirty. Cigarette Burns and stained carpet. Bathroom has a huge hole in the ceiling! When we tried to switch rooms, the second was worse! The check in lady gave my husband a can of Febreze to solve the problem. I need a hot shower after being here for 10 minutes. No refunds allowed... now I see why. They get you with false looking pictures online.
manager extremely rude and room
The room smelled and we wanted to lay by the pool. Manager told us no that it was against the law to open it till May 10. But he could at night. Because there were weeds around it. He yelled at my sister and told us to leave and go to another hotel. Then he had the ladies from the laundry hand pick the weeds in the hot sun after calling me and telling me the maintenance man was doing it. I have pictures. I had paid with Priceline or I would have left. Also before I booked I called and asked how close they were to the venue we were going to. We were advised within 2 miles. It was on the other side of town. Cost is over 50 bucks for taxis. I will never go there again. And maybe never Days Inn. I was very upset and disappointed. Also, there was a dog outside below us where obviously someone either lives there or stays a lot. Because, the grass is gone where he barks and runs. I'm not normally scared of dogs but he seemed aggressive.

condition of room
My husband arrived at this hotel very late (maybe3am) got a room.. At 1st no problems.. I didn't complain about the $80 it cost, I didn't complain about the rude clerk, I didn't complain about the loud people stomping loud at 7am, however I do have a problem when I wake up at 8am and twist my ankle due to all the water coming out of the ceiling from the room above. When I returned the key, the man behind the counter says we'll call u in a week if there's really a leak. It was obvious where it was repaired and furthermore there's no way that much water is dropping and nobody noticed. I absolutely had a problem with the total lack of concern from the clerk.. I asked 4 general manager. And he gave me a card which is to the hotel. I've never asked anyone for anything for free. I dislike attorneys and court more than anyone, but I feel like my husbands money was wasted. I wanted to make your company also aware I stayed in town for 3 nights.. Went elsewhere where the room was much nicer and cheaper. As a business owner myself I thought i'd make u aware
service at front desk and they have on cold water
I stayed at the Daysinn in Gastonia North Carolina right beside the Pancake House, on May 5th 2018 the guy on night shift it very rude and they only have cold water, he laughed because it was only cold water so I asked for my money back and he wouldn't refund me I haven't even been in the room #232 30minutes I will notify channel 9 news and also the city of Gastonia about this situation I paid $80 for a room which has only cold water to shower with that is not professional at all I think this place is un fit to stay and I'll do what ever I have todo to get this place closed down no one wants to take a cold shower you can reach me by email at [protected]@gmail.com
I would love to know more about the follow up to the recourse of action. I also stayed on May 8, 2018; the original room was 234 with no air, a nice 86 degrees then we moved into 216 after I had to clean the room we was in cause they said they couldn't re rent the room so I cleaned it myself, took the trash out. Then the new room had no hot water, place is a money pit. Wouldn't give a extra day, since they was going to fix the water the next day, nope wanted to have us pay 69 more dollars. I understand it's in the hood and it's cheap but the worst customer service in the world. It's is family owed by people from India that have been here a year, the older gentleman at night is worthless, sleeps in a coffin, doesn't talk and just laughs through a locked door and doesnt speak english, The owner is a lady who is the rudest person in the world just has her hand out to collect your money and rip you off as fast as she can. Now I will say this her two sons are nice and they work first and second shift they try there best but unfortunately both are so scared of moma bear is sad. I think she might actually beat them behind close doors. I wouldn't mind if this place some how got closed down, cause unfortunately this place will continue to treat people like trash maybe worst then trash until something dramatic happens and I feel sorry for anyone else that has to go through this hotel .

panguitch utah days inn
This complaint involves the Indian woman running that location, who's name I've forgotten.
I'm a freelance copywriter who's currently bouncing around the country. I fell in love with Panguitch, and decided to stay through the summer. It's the busy season, so finding a place proved difficult.
A friend found out that the motel across the street from the Days Inn was recently purchased by Days Inn, and that they had intended to use it for longer-term guests, like myself. Not sure if this is accurate, but what I was told by the Indian woman.
At her request, I showed up there around 11:30am, with everything I owned packed into my car. She asked me to come back in 15 minutes. I did.
On my second visit, she made a copy of my DL, and had started to give me a key, then stopped suddenly and asked me to come back in THREE HOURS, at 3pm she said. Which I also did.
When I came back at 3pm she was eating, same as the day before, same exact time -- which begs the question: if she eats at 3pm, why ask me to come back then. The day before, she made my friend and I wait a half hour before helping us.
She told me she was busy eating, predictably so, and asked me to come back later. Please keep in mind that everything I owned was packed, I was already out of my previous living situation, and I had urgent work to do that required a table or desk and an internet connection, which I wasn't getting sitting in my car all day.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I've traveled around the world, including nine years in Asia. I realize that customer service doesn't always exist in these places. But I know it exists here, in this country. And her absolute disregard for my situation, and my friends who received similar treatment, proves she knows nothing about customer service. It's a bad look for Days Inn. A really bad look. And I specialize in getting messages (good ones, usually) out into the world for people to see. That's what copywriters do!
The internet is written in pen, not pencil. If you want this complaint to end here, I suggest doing something about this, and then letting me know once you do. Thanks.

customer service and room
Friday when I checked into my room I noticed that there was a little bit of dirt in tub and the toilets didn't seem all that clean I call front desk they get people to help clean and only of the people cleaning it was kind of rude to me and told me that the marks was paint in the tub and I don't him I knew the marks were paint and that I was talking about the dirt in the tub. The next day on Saturday I'm in my room and I see a cockroach in front of my door and I have a video of it. I was really grossed it and I talked to front desk about it and they told me they can switch my rooms I declined because I spent the night at my friends house. I talked to the manager Sunday morning and she told me the best she could do was take $29.06 off of my room and I know that Days Inn is better than this which is why I chose to talk to you about this.

double charge on room: I paid cash and they picked the amount on the credit card too
The night of 2017 november 3, I paid cash 63, 94$ for one night room at Days Inn Grantville PA and the night of 2017 november 4, I paid cash 78, 35$ for one night room at Days Inn Hardeeville SC. Since ten years, we travel from canada to Florida for the winter and we always stay in a Days Inn and we always pay cash. They always ask for a credit card for "dommage risk". We never had problem except last fall. The two places picked money from my husband's visa credit card on name of Clermont Bouchard, plus the amount cash I gived when we arrived. One week ago, when we arrived in Canada after 6 months in Florida, we opened our mail and realise the situation. I send them a mail asking to refund the amount on my husband's credit card but no answer. Could you do something? If not, I will advise the 2 country's police for an investigation.

dirty hotel
I checked in to the Days Inn Toronto East Lakeview late at night on April 17/18 after a four hour drive. The staff at the desk checked me in quickly and I was given my room key. The hotel had a stale cigarette smell and the carpet in the elevator was stained. Upon entering my room I smelled cigarette smoke and in the bathroom it smelled like someone was standing beside me smoking. I went back to the desk to ask for another room and was moved to a room down the hall. Upon attempting to enter this room, I couldn't get the door to open. I went back to the desk and asked for assistance from the staff. She was able to open the door and when I entered and attempted to lock the door the deadbolt was broken. Once again I went back to the desk to ask to be moved to another room. We were moved once again down the hall and what we found was absolutely disgusting. The room was dirty - mould all over the walls and bath tub, the counter was dirty, the floor in the corner of the bathroom was dirty with hair and dirt, the alarm clock was broken, the fridge when opened had water pour out of it, hair in the bathroom sink, hair all over one of the beds, dirty fan in the bathroom and the list goes on. I once again went back to the main desk for clean linen and to let the staff know we would be leaving in the morning. Never once did she apologize. I will never stay at a Days Inn again!
not impressed
My boyfriend and I stayed the night last night (April 20th 2018) at the location in Niagara Falls Ontario (5943 victoria Avenue), he paid $158.00 for the Jacuzzi room
When we got into the room he noticed that there wasn't a small fridge and most off all no bath tub or shower, since Both of us take morning shower we were not to impressed..That when we noticed the shower piece in the Jacuzzi seriously who wants to have a shower in the Jacuzzi and have to worry about water spraying every where
This morning (April 21) we checked out and i mentioned to the clerk how we were not happy about having a shower in the Jacuzzi, she told us that it's how the building is and most rooms with Jacuzzis don't have showers or bath tubs! And we asked about the fridge and all she said was sorry! So exactly what did my boyfriend pay 160.00 for? ...LISA POOR

Days Inn, 1101 Parkway Dr., Fresno, California Manager, Allan Hu
Allan Hu has lied about saving a room for me when I never stayed there because I did not have the $50 room deposit. He's refusing to refund my 15, 000 Wyndham Rewards points, and his motel caters to prostitutes and drug addicts.
Wyndham rewards report #3999471 has sided with Days Inn Manager, and passed me off to you.
I've submitted negative online business reviews to google, Trip Advisor, Facebook, Instagram, and the Fresno, California newspaper.
Please have my 15, 000 Wyndham Rewards points so I can use them elsewhere. Thank you.

RE: Report #3999471
The aforementioned review to Trip Advisor is 1 of many. Lies by Allan Hu, Manager of Days Inn, and deplorable decision-making on the part of WYNDHAM REWARDS Customer Care, who also is dishonest about my report, transferring me to 7 representatives for 1 call, and left on hold for 30-40 minutes more than once. I'm reporting this to every resource available to me as a Business Reviewer. My 15, 000 Wyndham Rewards points should be put back on my account like Tina, WYNDHAM REWARDS Customer Care Supervisor said they would be.
submitting room charges
I had 2 employees stay at the Days Inn in McComb Mississippi at 2298 Delaware Ave. from 4/7/18 through 4/11/18. I have contacted the hotel on 4 different dates and asked for the room charges to sent to me. All 4 times the person I have talked to said that they will send them right away. The last date I asked for the room charges was 4/19/18 and still I have not received anything. I need these room charges so I can invoice one of my clients and close the job ticket. Could someone please contact the Days Inn in McComb Mississippi and see about them sending me the room charges for the dates I mentioned above. Please have them send the room charges to:

uncleanliness, inaccessible areas for disabled, racism
Re: Days Inn Hotel - 1825 Lorain Blvd Elyria, Ohio
I have stayed at this hotel MANY times over the years while visiting family in the area, and never had any problem. However, on this visit, I noticed immediately that the hotel was "under new management" and the quality of everything was the complete opposite of all previous stays.
We experienced uncleanliness, inaccessible areas for disabled guests (serious fire hazard!), and rampant racism from the new "owner." It was unbelievable!
First, upon entering the lobby there was a foul/musty odor which permeated the entire hotel. The common areas were littered with trash (as well as the parking lot), and it appeared as though it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks!
Secondly, I am a disabled veteran. We were given a floor on the 6th floor. There were only 2 elevators in the hotel, and 1 of those was out of service the entire stay...and I never saw anyone working on it. The 2nd elevator was obviously just barely operational and wait times were ridiculous because 6 floors had to use 1 elevator. On the 2nd day, I experienced a situation where the operational elevator (barely) was out of service for a period of time as well, and the only way to exit our floor was by stairs. Because of my disability, I have a very hard time with stairs, and after 6 flights of them, my pain was unbearable. In addition, after making it to the ground level, we discovered that the exit was blocked off and had to then go back UP one level to enter another area of the hotel and find an exit. This was an obvious fire hazard, and scary for someone with a disability who might have to exit quickly if there was an emergency.
Secondly, our room on the 3rd day was different (because we weren't planning to stay but ended up staying another night) than the first 2 nights. The card reader on the door was literally duct taped onto the door, the room was not clean at all, and there was no microwave. When we asked about this (again, probably stayed at least 12-15 other nights over the past 18 months and each time the room had a microwave) we were told by a very rude front desk woman that "microwaves were not guaranteed" and if we wanted one in our room, we would "have to request it from the front desk and they would have maintenance bring one to the room."
Thirdly, the phone in the room did not work at all (not even a dial tone...had to call the front desk from our cell phone).
And lastly, we encountered some of the most blatant and shocking racism I've ever witnessed. My husband had a heart attack while we were in the area and was admitted to Metro Hospital (which is why we ended up staying another day...but then went to stay with family after the incident occurred). The doctors told him he needed to be on complete bed rest for 3-4 days after being discharged. The morning of our last day, I went downstairs to get something to eat from the breakfast area. I immediately noticed that it was completely different than previous stays, with 2 out of 4 of the juices being "out-of-order", bread and bagels literally just thrown on a cookie sheet with some plastic wrap over them instead of being in the pastry case that was there before, and out of 4 cereals, only 1 was filled up (frosted flakes - but no milk available). I proceeded to make a plate for my husband and as I was getting ready to leave the breakfast area to take it to him, the same rude front desk woman told me that we weren't allowed to take food back to our rooms (although people were having pizza & all kinds of food delivered the night before). I explained to her that my husband was on bed rest due to doctors orders, and that he wasn't supposed to be walking that far. She told me (with attitude) that was too bad, he could either walk to the breakfast area, or not eat. She then made me throw away the whole plate of untouched food. When I went back to the room and told my husband what had happened, he insisted on getting up and walking down to the breakfast area (even though he wasn't supposed to). With his hospital bracelet still on, we stopped at the front desk to express our dissatisfaction with the employee to a manager. At first we were told that the manager wasn't there, but upon requesting that the front desk call him, a man came out of the back room and indicated he was the "owner." We explained to him the situation, as well as all of the other things we had noticed while staying there. He told us if we didn't like it, we could go somewhere else, and then asked for our room number. When I told him our room number, he said, "ok, now I've blocked you so you can't ever stay here again." Then my husband questioned how he could be so insensitive being that customer service and hospitality are supposed to be the #1 goals for any hotel. At this point, he actually threatened to call the police on my husband (who had just got out of the hospital 12 hours earlier, and who was in no way hostile towards the owner or anyone else, and who was only being treated the way he was by the owner because of racism). As I witnessed the interaction between the owner and my husband, I was thoroughly shocked at the level of racism on display, lack of empathy, absence of concern for a paying customers' well-being, and total disregard for any form of proper customer service.
This "owner" needs to be fired, and all of the employees need to attend diversity training as well as being trained on laws regarding disabled individuals.
This hotel is a huge stain on the Days Inn brand, and will continue to bring in bad reviews and complaints as long as the current staff are allowed to continue running the hotel this way.
I am holding off on blasting every hotel review website with our experience until I give the corporate office a chance to rectify the problems. I think it's fair to let you know first and see if anything is done about it before putting any negative reviews out there.
What we experienced in terms of racism, access for disabled individuals, and disgusting/unclean rooms & common areas is just unacceptable.
I would appreciate a follow-up email from someone letting me know if these issues will be addressed.

reservation of 2 rooms for 5 days not honor
04/16/2018 I had made a reservation over the phone, pay with my credit card.
this is a business trip when the employees got to the hotel tired from all day work David, say to my crew you can't check in. and cuz. the owner of the card is not present. And did not bother to tell me this when I made the reservation this is not the services I expected from a hotel
So a business owner has to travel with the crew so they are present to pay for employees rooms?
