Dental Works dellagatta

Yesterday 2/12/18 I took my fiancé to get two teeth pulled. At first everything was fine but then the dentist Dellagatta was half asleep acting like he didn't even want to be at work. He approached saying "oh man I'm tired I don't even want to be here today, I know you don't, you're not gonna make me work too hard today are you". Talk about the last thing you want to hear from your "dentist". My fiancé proceeded to tell him he wants the two teeth pulled. So the dentist, Dellagatta, poked at both teeth to see which one hurt worse and said "oh well this one doesn't hurt you as bad so we will just remove this one"... last time he got a tooth pulled from there it took at least an hour between the numbing process and removal... this time he was in and out in like 20/30 minutes. He also wouldn't give him anything for pain, which is weird because at his initial visit (before he even got a tooth removed) they basically threw a pain killer prescription at him. We are both just overall disappointed with this visit and we will not be going back. As well we will be letting all of our family and friends know not to go there.

Dental Works billing

We have been receiving bills, dating back to 06/2016, which should have been submitted to insurance and was not. Mallory, who is in charge of billing at amherst park family dental in broomfield, co, admitted to our current dental office that someone in their office transposed numbers on our insurance id and all claims were rejected. Not once did mallory or anyone else at amherst contact us or inform us, at appointments, that there was an issue with the insurance claims. Once amherst received the correct insurance id they claimed to have sent the most current invoice to delta dental. So far delta has only received my son's claim. Due to the incompetence of the staff at amherst park family dental, we are having to fight to resolve these bills. I have asked for a ledger and am now having to fill out a release form. I feel that due to the many mistakes of amherst park family dental and their lack of customer service we are having to do way more than necessary to resolve this billing issue. It should be amherst park family dental's responsibility to set this right since they are at fault for not sending claims to our insurance and for not informing us of the issue.

Dental Works paid for service for implant never received

In November 2016, Dentalworks adviced me that I needed to pay in advance for a portion of an implant that I was supposed to get. I paid $800 approximately with my debit card so that I could even make an appointment to have the procedure done. About a month later I called to see if the parts were in so that we could schedule the appointment and that's when I was told that the dentist needed to refer me to another dentist outside of Dentalworks who was more "equipped" to handle my procedure. I went along with the recommendation because I want the work done properly the receptionist then said your funds will be sent back to you but it takes about 6-8 weeks for a refund. In February 2017, I inquired about my refund and they advised me about the company switched computer systems so my request did not go through. The receptionist advised me to call back and speak with the office manager. After this I found out my sister had stage 4 cancer so dealing with Dentalworks was to be dealt with at a later time. Sometime in May I spoke with Tiffany the office manager who told me that she was unable to find my request due to the new system. Now as you can imagine I'm frustrated but Tiffany assured me that she would handle this and it takes approximately 6-8 weeks which I heard from a previous representative. So, July comes around and I call to speak with Tiffany and she tells me there was some glitch that did not process and that she would expedite this for me but it would be a refund of approximately $650. Since then I have called numerous times and the office manager has been with a patient or out of the office. I finally went in person in August and spoke face to face with Tiffany who said it was processed. It's now October 3, 2017 and I still do not have a refund. I'm through with being patient at this point. I have been given the run around and these are unethical practices. I am extremely disappointed at the lack urgency and at this point, I will let EVERYONE know of my situation and not to do business with Dentalworks and especially the one located at 4891 Old York Road in Rock Hill, SC

Dental Works unethical behaviour

We went in for a cleaning, oh we can take care of these other dental problems you have. We can't pay for that. Oh you have wonderful insurance you only pay this much. Thank you, this is wonderful news. Lets do the work. Works done, happy. Whoops hold that happy, its a little more then we thought, you owe us this much. But you said it was covered? Well just a little misunderstanding we will take care of it. Happy... Not so fast... Bill doubles... How come, well their was a waiting period before you where covered.. You said we were covered, well these things happen you know.. How about you just give us half of the bill... But you already doubled it.. The first bill was wrong how is this fair... Well we are just going to ruin your credit, have a nice day... Well these things happen

Dental Works workmans comp case

My name is Margaret Bucci and in Dec, 2013 I had an injury at work. I went to Dental Works in North Olmsted, Ohio. They started the work and I thought they submitted the claim. The work still has not been completed. I called here last week and a lady named Bobette told me it was turned into collections or bad debt. I then called workmans comp and they told me a bill was NEVER sent in for the claim. They said if they had gotten a bill, they would have paid it. I am having issues with my teeth and need this work completed. My number is [protected] and my dob is 10/2/67. Workmans comp said the bill just needs to be sent in and faxed. I have all of the information if someone could please call me. The lady in North Olmsted gave me the number of a Miss Motsie but I have not got a call back. This is an urgent issue and I appreciate any assistance please.

Dental Works claim filing

Account # [removed]
Bill $315 should be paid at 100% minus the fluoride that was already paid for. Date of service [removed]. [removed]. Insurance never receives claim. I also work at that insurance company. I have called the office many times & told we will reprocess. But the claim is rejected for some reason over & over. Idea I got it is never received by claims to process. I am not receiving assistance to get the claim filed within timely filing so I do not expect to pay this claim or be sent to collections. I have asked for claim info to be sent to me so U can file the claim and for some reason it's not possible. I have asked for claim to be faxed to a dental claim rep but for some reason this is not possible. I have asked to speak to claim rep but again nope. I need assistance. [removed]

Dental Works dentist

We've been going to Hilltop since they opened the office years ago. It's close to home and convenient. Over the years the quality of service has diminished as the clinic has changed management and the Doctors have come and gone. My son had his wisdom teeth out in January and we paid a large portion of that out of pocket. Apparently we were overbilled by $357 but were never told that. A credit has been sitting on our account since March and we've received no notification of the credit until yesterday when my son returned for a routine checkup. I spoke to the office manager and she claims that they have no knowledge of credits on accounts unless they dig into an account. They'd certainly know if I under paid! Now because he had a treatment, we have to wait until our insurance pays on it before they'll refund our credit, likely another 4-6 weeks. That's FIVE months they've held our money. Ridiculous! It is absolutely unacceptable that a business is unaware of overpayments and credits due to clients. I question their business model and integrity and we will not be returning.

Dental Works dental assistant service

On Thursday June 1st I had a rescheduled appointment for a routine cleaning. My original cleaning was rescheduled when my appointment times were mixed up. My original appt was scheduled for 5:30 as I do not get off of work until 5.
The day before my appt I received the reminder call stating that my appt was at 3:30. I returned the call to the office asking them to confirm the time as I was looking at my reminder card that also said 5:30, they said the computer showed 3:30. The receptionist was very friendly and apologized for the confusion and rescheduled, but the next availability was over a month away. I decided to wait.
This brings me to my appt on June 1st. I showed up 5 minutes early as usual. When I was finally checked in (the receptionist was dealing with another customer) It was after 6:30. When I was taken back the Dental assistant asked "was there a lot of traffic or something" I was confused and asked why and she stated that I was late for my appt which was at 6. I let her know that it was scheduled for 6:30 (I received the reminder call AND the text message) and that this was not the first time that my appt time was messed up. At this point I was very frustrated as the assistant continued to make comments that they never schedule a 6:30 appt and that for future reference I should know that. That is the instant I became very upset as that is not my responsibility to know and as I had already told her this was not the first time they incorrectly set up my appt, she should have been much more understanding. After this point I felt as if I was being talked down to the entire time I interacted with her. She was rude about my blood pressure being high and questioned if I check this often. When there was some type of error with my insurance she questioned if I was sure I had coverage and If I changed anything since my last appointment in a very demeaning way.

As a fellow customer service employee I hate to send in complaint like this, however, this is not how customer service interactions should be handled. Especially when I was correct in saying that my appt was scheduled for 6:30. not 6 and this was not the first time.

My first experience with Dental Works was amazing. I raved about this location as I had just moved into the area. Since then I have had less than stellar service with now 2 different scheduling issues, as well as billing issues in the past. It is frustrating as I have also recently spent over 4k at this location for orthodontics services (I have had no issues with my orthodontics appts).

Dental Works dental work done improperly

I went to the Elyria Ohio office with Dr. Welch. He did a root canal and crown on a bad tooth. I was back in one year for it to be redone. He says, "I probably caused the second one because of the trauma I caused during the 1st one." Tells me he will only charge me half for the 2nd one. Here we are, another year later... a second dentist at the practice tells me they were done wrong. He doesn't realize the work was done at his facility. (They recently moved offices and I had never seen this dentist before). He refers me to an endodontist who tells me that he can try to retreat, but the bone under there has been eaten away by the infection and it appears that there is a cyst under there as well. I have contacted the office manager Tonya several times. Mist recently she will not even get in the phone with me. Tells the receptionist to tell Mr that she gave my number to someone named Teresa at the corporate offices. I have been going thru this since I saw the specialist the first week of April. I am physically ill every morning from swallowing this infection every night. I have a fissure which is the only thing minimizing the pain for me. I need someone to contact me ASAP. I am not the type of person to sue, but I am being left with no other options.

Dental Works billing

May 5, 2016 client # 1641942 My son and daughter both had wisdom teeth extracted. I paid a down payment, my dental insurance paid, then after almost a year of hassle of trying to get the insurance billed correctly, my health insurance paid. My account was already paid in full when the insurance paid. I was refunded a portion of what was paid and told the health insurance paid to much, and dentalworks was keeping the rest waiting for a due bill. I notified my insurance company and was told that they pay by NAIC guidelines and pay the higher amount allowed and don't base payment on what the dental insurance paid. I was also told there wouldn't be a refund request sent out and that dentalworks should refund me all of what they paid. I would like to know why dentalworks think they are entitled to this money when they were paid in full way before they received this particular insurance payment.
RESOLUTION: I would like the rest of the paid amount refunded to me like
my insurance said it should be. You can verify this information by calling [protected] ext: 8780 Michael My ID# is N32319743 Thank you I am waiting for your response I can be contacted at [protected]

Dental Works customer service

Recently the Office Manager at the Tinley Park (formerly Orland Park) location has recently left employment and left that particular office in scrambles. It seems like every person I talk to over the phone has a horrible, rude attitude and has no idea what is going on, cannot ever answer any questions and no one ever returns any calls/questions EVER. Completely frustrating!

Appointments keep getting pushed further away and answers to all of my questions are not made.

I NEED someone from the corporate office to contact me as soon as possible. I am extremely disappointed in DentalWorks.

In the meantime, not only myself, but my children's dental issues are getting worse by this inconsistentness and neglect of this particular office.

I will make sure I NEVER recommend DentalWorks to anyone and make sure they know to seek help elsewhere, no one should have to deal with this lack of customer service/services.

Dental Works not usable complete set of dentures

I went to the Arlington Heights office located at 708 E, Rand Road #26, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 to have a new set of dentures made for me. After having the wax molds redone twice they finally had my new dentures in for a fitting. The top ones were way too large and the bottom ones were way to small and to take the cake the dentist then ground down the teeth on the lower denture to get the bite right. Grinding them down left a sharp ridge all along the length of the lower front teeth. Also there just was not enough plastic left on the lower denture to have any amount of past to hold them in place at all.
This was my last chance to have a working set of teeth as I won't have any insurance to assist me for another ten years and I sure don't have the cash to go someplace else to have some good ones made so I am without teeth even after paying for them.

Dental Works bill

I was overcharged at my last visit. They charged me $350 for services that my insurance says that I was only supposed to pay $28.40. Apparently I have a credit of $51.90 that they failed to credit back to my card, and I wasn't made aware of it until I questioned the manager about the $350 they ripped me off for. They have made no attempt to correct this matter. My insurance provider and I have caught them in several lies since. Seeing as how they have ripped the insurance company and myself off, it's safe to say I have every legal leg to stand on in court.

A dental works dentist in Gastonia, NC did a root canal and a crown and it messed up my whole jaw and my bite was off and I was in so much pain for about 3 years. Had to get 5 root canals and another dentist to fix my bite, I didn't know what was wrong. Had to get an operation (root end resection ) they messed me up so bad. I told my root canal dr and my dentist and both said that when a crown is done it has to be right with your bite and if you grind your teeth at night then it's even worse. A miss aligned bite caused by the Dental works dentist on the crown and I grind my teeth at night caused me about 3 years of pain and several more root canals and crowns to fix Dental works screw up, Over $8, 000 spent. I have learned you get what you pay for, It was an absolute nightmare. I even thought about suicide and dental works didn't help me in the least after they screwed up my bite. Find a good dentist by word of mouth and stick with them.

Dental Works no free teeth cleaning as the website promises. false advertising. random people standing in on my appointment

I read online that there was free teeth whitening as long as your app was before 5/31/2016. Well mine was 5/26/2016 and was only informed that this was not offered when i arrived for my appointment. I did not appreciate the false advertising and really suggest that it is taken off the website as soon as possible or given an explanation as to why some offices offer it and some don't. Also there was a random woman standing in the door way to the exam room the whole visit. It was never explained who she was or why she was there. I felt very uncomfortable with her there and I understand that this was an invasion of my privacy. If I have to sign wavers to show my information than clearly this was an invading of my privacy. She should not have been there first, second she should not have stayed without my consent. I will be looking further into the latter end of my complaint. Did not appreciate feeling uncomfortable inside the room.

Then I received a bill from care credit for $903, which was disputed. The balance is increasing and dental works has still not corrected billing error. The root canal tooth i...

Dental Works fraud to bank of america as of services completed

This Dental Practice made charges to the Bank of America with fraud statements and charges of service that was not completed. Went in with a loose bridge and the dentist cracked it in half trying to remove it to recement it. Then gave an injection to have a new bridge made (Dr. Barrows), and hit my lingual nerve which I had to take medication to hope that the nerve injury was only temporary. Then they said I needed a root canal to be able to have a new bridge, had it half way completed, and then I felt these people were NOT TRUSTWORTHY TO CONTINUE...Went too another dentist to have the work completed and I am still fighting with Dental One. This operation is run like a car dealership...tries to have services done that are not needed, and in the process of turning to their insurer which is located in Florida, it took 5 months to get an answer from them...the whole operation is truly a JOKE...I am now turning the whole thing over to go to small claims court where someone will have to appear and answer to my allegations.

Dental Works sold me to collection agency

Just got off phone with the collection agency DentalWorks sold me to. I was there in December for my crown treatment. I paid my portion of the bill while they were supposed to claim the rest of the amount from my insurance company. They forgot to do that. I got a letter in April saying that I owe them over $600. I called them up and they admitted that its their mistake. They promised me that they will correct it soon and submit a claim to my insurance company.

They also requested me to ignore the bill. I did. After a month, I got a letter from a collection agency based in Ohio asking me to pay the amount over $600. They have my social, my home address, phone number and all the details. Dentalworks sold them all that information without talking to me or without looking into their own records. I built my credit history over decades. One bad tooth and all my effort has gone waste. Thank you Dentalworks! I am definitely not going there again.

Dental Works billing service

Worst place to go for dental care. Wait times are minimum of 30 minutes. Absolutely worst place for billing issues. They bill incorrectly, do not know the appropriate codes and prompt send bills for collection because of their errors. They have a person who is supposedly dealing with patient issues Ann Rylie phone number [protected] extension 1127. Phone is NEVER ANSWERED, no call back. Their corporate office does NOT CARE. Tried for over 10.5 hours at different times to contact the office manager at Richmond heights, manager at Mentor who we were told is a supervisor but they tell us the WE HAVE to BILL the insurance company directly and get the claims resolved. PLEASE READ ABOUT SIMILAR EXPERIENCES BY OTHER PATIENTS. DO NOT GO TO DENTAL WORKS.

Dental Works wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time

I was scheduled at 12:00 noon, for a cleaning, xrays and exam. When I arrived, I was told that my name was not on the LIST for cleaning. They told me that there was an opening at 1:00pm, I said lets go ahead and take the xrays, when I was to go back for the exam, there was no room available, So I said that I would be back at 1:00 pm. When I arrived at 12:40 pm, they said that they would let them know that I was there. At about 1:20 pm I finally got up and asked if it would be much longer. They said they were cleaning the room. Another 10 min, had passed, when I got up again. By this time I had other places I had to be. They again said that they were cleaning the room. I am so angry I cannot stay. I rescheduled. I just hope this never happens again. Or I will choose another dentist to go to. I have been with Dental Works many years and have not had any complaints. What is wrong with this office?
