I purchased 7 items at diamonds international the tanzanite bracelet costing over 10,000 was lost within 2 hours of wearing it. My wife while at the store mentioned concerns about the clasp not holding well in which our salesperson said it was fine. I filed a complaint and decided to purchase another matching bracelet with a safety chain added. After wearing it for less than 1 hour the bracelet unlocked and was saved by the safety chain. I have made multiple phone calls to at least 4 upper management personnel with a serious concerns that this was faulty from the beginning and wanting a refund and a repair to change the locking system. After paying over 18,000 They offered me $150,00 After several more phone calls offer of $1500,00 offered, then a final offer of $2000.00. I took the bracelet to our local jewelry store and they stated in the letter below this was a faulty lock. Lawsuit is forth coming for a full refund on second bracelet. This company is no one to deal with. They don't stand up for what is right.
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you today on behalf of a customer, Mr. Edwards, at Highlands Jewelers in Sebring, Florida. He recently purchased a Tanzanite and diamond bangle from your company and expressed concerns about the clasp's security during everyday wear.
Upon a thorough examination of the bangle, I find that the clasp does lock and close the bangle. However, I also identified that the detent button used to release the clasp appears overly sensitive, potentially causing the bangle to open unintentionally during casual wear.
This particular clasp design seems unsuited for everyday use due to its sensitivity and the risk of accidental opening. Based on Mr. Edwards' history with this bangle and the one before it, I believe my findings are a valid concern.
While we appreciate the addition of a safety chain by the store where the bangle was purchased, it seems like a temporary solution at best. In our experience, a more permanent solution is necessary to address the security concerns.
To qualify my opinion, I am a certified bench jeweler (Jewelers of America) at Highlands Jewelers in Sebring, Florida, with over 20 years of experience. We specialize in high-quality repair and custom work.
