Customer Service, Fraudulent Fees
This is the worst company to deal with. I have attempted to cancel my account for over a month and have left multiple voicemails and emails, Howard Zemel, senior VP, is a liar and won't return emails. Loyalty department won't call back or give me address to return machine. They are overcharging me by hundreds of dollars for the last few months. They claim they have not raised their fees but they are obvious liars. No customer service, no professionalism, just lies and more lies. All of the other complaints that I have read about this company are all true.
Desired outcome: Cancel my account

I attempted to cancel my account numerous times with Digitech and finally, months later they did cancel and sent me confirmation. However, during this time of not cancelling, they continued to take payments out of my account and now they refuse to give me a refund even though I did not use their company's service for 10 months.

In January , I transitioned from Digitech Payments to a new payment provider. Despite requesting account cancellation with Digitech in February, they continue to impose monthly fees. Without conducting any transactions from February through April, I've incurred $187.80 in charges. Evidence of terminal cancellation has been ignored by Digitech, and they refuse to close my account. A stop payment is impossible since my bank processes transactions for both Digitech and the new provider. The new provider cannot intervene in the cancellation, leaving me with unresolved payments to two providers for a single service.

set us up with an account after we confirmed that Digitech/Elavon would integrate with our registration platform PerfectMind. Then Perfectmind siad that Digitech/Elavon was not set up in Canada and we could not integrate Digitech/Elavon in as our CNP or POS merchant. I asked *** to close accounts, and return the POS in April. Then I kept getting bills, I asked again monthly to close and contacted Elavon who started a lease buy back completed in June. Kept asking to close/refund/return POS. They said no, they could not close the lease and want us to continue to pay for the lease for the term even though we can not use the POS as it does not integrate into Perfectmind. In essence, the POS sits on my desk not in use and I keep paying for it for 48 months at $36. 95month. the value of the equipment is $439 and the lifetime payment of the lease is $1773. I want them to close the account, refund to April, and send us a return shipping label to return the POS to sender.

I signed up for payment solutions through Digitech payements after being promised 24 hour customer service and a lower rate on processing
I signed up for payment solutions through Digitech payements after being promised 24 hour customer service and a lower rate on processing services than I was currently getting. The fees per month were higher but my per/transaction fee was supposed to be significantly lower. After using their service for a month, I noticed that my bills were higher than with my previous provider and emailed/called Digitech and asked to cancel my service with them. I stopped using their services and was told they would call me back. They never called me back and then when calling in, they said they'd do a rate review, look into a refund, get back to me about rate issues, etc. I never recieved a call back and had to constantly call them to get any resolution. I asked for the service to be cancelled and not pay any more fees with them and they continued to charge me for 3 months. I also asked for the fees to be refunded and was waiting for their response. Now they inform me that they have finally cancelled my account but because the account is cancelled, they cannot refund my fees. It is unacceptable to delay cancellation and charge fees while service isn't being used, but then cancel and use the cancellation as a reason not to refund my fees. I would like my monthly fees to be refunded for the months that I did not use the service ($37.95 for August, $57.95 for Sept and Oct) and I also paid $149 set up fee to sign up with their services which should be refunded since they didn't provide the service they promised.

I opened a debit terminal account with digitech payments
I opened a debit terminal account with digitech payments. ***. I signed a contract with Digitech payments through ***, upon my first bill from digitech payments through *** I received a bill that contained extra charges that were not outlined on my contract. After contacting *** directly to find out what these extra charges were that was not in my contract I kept getting a run around. I stopped collecting payments via digitech's equipement and I requested my account be closed and I will send back the rental equipment. This happened from November 1st until November 4th. At that time i was told the request was sent to close my account. In December my account was still not closed so I began to contact higher up contacts within Digitech. I was forwarded to voice mails for every phone number and rep I contacted where I left messages to be called back. In the meantime I called my bank to block all money withdraws from *** where digitech was forwarding my services through. I continue to still get BILLS from *** through digitech for services I have not rendered. I have tried calling *** directly to resolve this issue and they tell me a manager within *** must close the account and they will send an email to a manager to resolve this. Someone from digitech called me and said the request has been sent to close the account but this has been ongoing for the last month and still the account has not been closed. I just wish for the account to be closed, digitech take back their equipment and all fees for services I have not been using be reversed.

The WORST Business Experience I have Ever had!
The WORST Business Experience I have Ever had! *** Prior to selling my business (on Sep 30,2019) to ***. I Contacted *** from Digitech to transfer the POS account to the new ***. *** assured me that it will be taken care of. My account was still getting charged for the month of Oct and November. So I called Digitech at the end of each those months, they told me that the account is newly transferred and we should wait until the end of the month for the adjustment. In January,2020 I noticed my account still getting charged each month. When I called Digitech, I was told that the Digitech made the new *** sign a new lease. Digitech assured me that the transfer will be taken care of and at the same time they never informed me that the account is active. And charged my account monthly. I kept contacted *** through emails and voicemails but she never responded. With the purchase agreement, new ***s must taken over all the accounts. When I contacted new ***, he told me that Digitech misguided him, he only signed the new lease because Digitech said that our account will be cancelled and has nothing to do with their account. I talked with *** from ***, I explained her the situation. She told me to call Digitech and ask them to buy back the contract since it was their own employees mistake. When I contacted *** and explained the situation and asked her to buy back the contract, She told me that "*** misguided you, go take your money from ***". Ignoring the responsibility that *** is one of their company's representative. After discussing for a long time, *** told me that she will talk to the *** and contact me back but again I never received any calls or emails from them. And Because of their misguidance, *** is keep *** me pay the contract. I have all the emails from both parties. I have been dealing with this issue for months. I want them to stop *** me, and own to their mistake.

Digitech Payment WOULD NOT LET this merchant cancel their relationship amicably when requested Dec 11, 2020 despite a verbal request for a Merchant Closure Form being made to *** and ***. Digitech continued to withdraw $71.20 CDN funds Feb 1, 2021 for ZERO services provided in January . (***) HIstory...Switched to Digitech Sept 2020 for promised increased savings & then attempted to terminate/cancel the relationship officially Dec 11, 2020 after concerns arose Oct 7 & Nov 16, 2020 regarding their higher monthly costs with ZERO savings. Requested an official cancellation form from contact Dec 11, 2020 from *** and ***. *** told customer that HE was NOT sending any cancellation form! Reminder email Jan 22, 21 ***, *** regarding cancellation form Feb 2, 2021 sent email to "new customer request" complaining of the $71.20 cc'c ***, *** Feb 2, 2021 received phone call from ***, stating relationship cancelled. Requested $71.20 refund and a copy sent via email for the record. Feb 5, 2021 sent email to "new customer request", ***, *** that no cancellation email received to date & requested $71.20 refund Feb 5, 2021 received Merchant Closure Form dated Feb 3, 2021 note: Why does Digitech require customers to request a cancellation form, then be sent back to them, when no merchant signature is required on the document to cancel? I have not signed anything to date. Feb 12, 2021 called *** to verify closure...she confirmed. Customer concern was the Feb 3rd closure date chosen is a different month which Digitech, based on its shady interpretations of terms and conditions, could rationalize justification for taking another $71.20 Mar 1, 2021 for February's NON service. She would not state that Digitech wouldn't try and take funds for February. Feb 12, 2021 received email from *** stating Digitech had just received written notice of closure at the beginning of January and the excuses of why it was not officially closed Feb 2nd. (form states Feb 3rd) Suddenly terms and conditions are a concern by Digitech that this Merchant has NEVER seen or heard of prior to this email. Feb 12, 2021 customer sent email response stating...*** knew since Dec 11 the request for merchant closure and has been CC'd on correspondence. Merchant is still requesting $71.20 refund and for Digitech to provide a merchant signed contract of these terms and conditions that have suddenly materialized NO response from Digitech as of this date Feb 25, 2021
