Discovery Channel master of arms

I would love to be able to watch Master of Arms, however the audio level of the sound effects is drowning out the voices, they are RIDICULOUSLY LOUD loud and do not add to the show at all. two episodes in a row I have had to turn it off, I couldn't stand it ! You are obviously trying for dramatic effect but it's not working, I'm sure i'm not the only one that has this complaint, TURN IT DOWN !

Discovery Channel discovery channel holland, the netherlands

Guys,

I enjoy the discovery channel so much but.. Do you realise it's 2018 and everytime you interrupt the program 2 out of 3 people zap off, just the way it is. They are acustomed to the internet and netflix, too many adds will make people leave. But if the show was actually interrupted for the sake of real adds, that generate real income, people would understand but what is happening is that the show is randomly interupted for announcements for another discovery channel show and not just once but 7 times, for the same show! Can you explain the purpose of that?! Because you see it once and you know, anything after that just gets annoying. The same goes for adds, the same add everytime makes me look for my remote in panic, there's something about the repetitiveness that resembles insanity. The breaks are too long to stay and too short to leave, so I end up zapping off the sound and on again, it's driving me nuts. So I finally decided to reach out with this cry for help, because I watch a lot of discovery channel. A 5 second break showing the upcoming show, preferably each one a funny different snippet, will do just fine, or a short listing of the upcoming shows of that evening, a few seconds and you're done. Or just the title in the upper right hand corner of the screen - up next, moonshiners - works too. If you finally do have adds, I recommend putting them together in one long break and telling the viewer in advance in how many minutes the show will be back, so we can grab a snack or some cofee, just like in old times television. I also really don't like watching anything dutch on my discovery channel, in my mind i'm on your channel to be away from holland and speaking dutch, the adds are kind of un avoidable but the rest should be english. I really hope this complaint reaches anyone in a position to do something about it because i'm done. I just don't see the point, why are you guys doing this? Showing me the same announcement for a the same show I probably don't even wanna watch. Drives me nuts. Maybe do the announcements inbetween the shows? If you really need to make them that repetitive and long, that would be an idea too. But stop interrupting my show for no good reason ten times or I will leave. Thanks! Greets from the netherlands my email: [protected]@hotmail.com

Discovery Channel seeker youtube channel (d news with trace dominguez)

On the youtube channel Seeker, your host Trace Dominguez downplays the dangers of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. He calls those of us who are concerned about the issue, "fearmongers and conspiracy hawks." That's not a good way to address people. It only alienates those of us who care about our environment and our children. I think it's very inappropriate for your company to back a show where the facts about Fukushima are distorted, stretched, incomplete, limited in their scope or just lied about. The host of Seeker, Trace Dominguez has done four youtube videos regarding Fukushima and they are all absurdly inaccurate not to mention inappropriate. I feel it's always best to err on the side of caution, but the Seeker channel brushes aside the dangers that the Japanese people and their children face in the radioactive prefectures near Fukushima. Trace Dominguez says from his script that there are no animals or fish dying on the west coast when that is not true whatsoever. You have to be living in a cave not to know there have been massive die offs in the pacific including starfish and salmon and many, many others of animals and fish. This a serious issue! And your D News host just brushes it aside as if to say "nothing to see here." He goes on to say that radiation is not at severe levels on beaches. There is no such thing as safe radiation! Trace continues to say that "we don't know where the radiation is coming from." Really? Again, this is an irresponsible dismissal of the Fukushima situation. He actually compares an old radioactive dinner plate or the potassium from bananas for god's sake to the deadly radiation in strontium, tritium, plutonium, uranium and ceasium that is gushing in the pacific ocean. Is this some kind of sick joke? Even the titles of those Seeker youtube videos are highly irresponsible. One is named "Stop Worrying About Fukushima" and another one is named "Internet Is Overreacting About Fukushima."
So, to those at the Discovery company, my question is, should the Japanese mothers and fathers stop worrying about their children? Trace continues to say that the ocean breaks down the radioactivity. This is not chocolate Quik that's going into the ocean. It is radiation! And radioactivity lasts for a very long time. It cannot just be dissolved like any other substance. The D News host goes on to say "With any disaster, there's a lot to learn." Well, we don't wanna interrupt his study and play time while people are suffering in Fukushima now, do we? Disgusting, flippant and dismissive this is. Another thing D News doesn't include in their discussion is all the many other
radioactive elements and isotopes and their atomic "daughters" leaking into the air and the pacific ocean. Trace mentions only ceasium and he doesn't talk about how radioactivity in the air rains down on the prefectures. I mean, seriously, you guys are the mcdonalds of scientific research! It is so irresponsible and quite revolting of your Seeker show to say that the Japanese population shouldn't worry about the radiation there even though radiation levels are variably low to very high depending on where a person or child stands or plays outside. You do know don't you that children like to play in the dirt and that the forests there are highly contaminated, but your Host, Trace says the Fukushima disaster is nothing to worry about, that it's not the worst nuclear disaster ever. YEAH IT IS! Eight times more devastating than Chernobyl and 100 times worse than three mile island! STOP DOWNPLAYING THIS SITUATION with your pro nuclear lies! D News even says in regard to the fish in the pacific ocean, EAT UP! Are you kidding me? What nuclear company is Discovery doing pro nuclear propaganda for? Maybe the people of the Discovery channel haven't learned the lessons of Chernobyl and it's deadly cover up that horrendously effected the people of Belarus, Pripyat and Chernobyl, but I sure learned. And I find it disgusting that your company/channel are downplaying and lying about Fukushima. You know, Japanese people just might watch those youtube videos on the Seeker channel and make a deadly wrong choice to move back to the Fukushima area because they fell for the pro nuclear propaganda telling them they're safe from radiation. Even the U.N. and Greenpeace has advised people there to stay out of the exposed contaminated prefectures. So why is the discovery channel making debunking videos and brushing aside the real dangers there? Have some respect for the people of Japan! Children in the surrounding areas of the Fukushima triple meltdowns are already developing thyroid issues including cancer from the radiation there, so PLEASE STOP with your fake news media distortions! I know the Discovery channel is an entertainment based tv channel partly owned by ESPN, and that you're listed on the nasdaq and that is why you should not talk about truly life threatening situations like Fukushima. This subject matter is NOT ENTERTAINMENT and you are not reputable nor knowledgeable enough to speak on crucially serious matters that require the utmost research, time and seriousness. You are an entertainment company! Leave the matter to top scientists who are not paid shills and who have the right motives to investigate the Fukushima situation. I think the Discovery channel ought to apologize for those four Seeker videos about Fukushima and as a token of your apology you should remove those particular videos from the Seeker youtube channel. This is a very serious issue and in the near future we are going to start seeing severe cancer cases spike in Japan. It happened after the nuclear disaster in Chernobyl and it will happen in the Fukushima region too. Let's not kid ourselves! Let's learn from history for God's sake and put an end to nuclear energy and weaponry. I am very disappointed with the Discovery company and will never watch your channel again.

Discovery Channel animal planet go app and directv now

I have service through Directvnow which includes a subscription to both the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet yet I cannot use the Annimal Planet Go App. This displeases me greatly and I would like to see the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet work in better harmony with Directv and Directv Now regarding use of the AnimalPlanet Go App. It is not equitable that paid subscribers to Animal Planet are not allowed to use and enjoy the. Animal Planet Go App. It has been my experience over many years that the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet have historically made it difficult for subscribers to access all content of said channels. In other words, both channels have always seemed overly protective of its contents causing continual disappointments for its paid subscribers.

Discovery Channel discovery canada - jade fever

I live in Italy and have just recently started watching Jade Fever. My complaint has to do with Season 1 Episode 4, where the cast member, Alan, decided to shoot a squirrel dead from a tree for apparently stealing nuts from his house. After the squirrel fell from the tree and into the water, Alan said that the fish will eat it. Something like that is disgusting, especially for a show on Discovery. As an Animal Rights Activist, it didn't settle well with me. I don't appreciate watching an innocent animal die while I am just watching a show about finding Jade. I especially don't want to see an innocent animal die for something as stupid as taking nuts, which is something that squirrels do naturally to survive. Discovery should pay more attention to what they are filming and allowing to be done as well as who they are casting.

Discovery Channel tv show/ alaskan bush people

I was once a diehard fan of the show. However, in recent episodes I've noticed these people are no more "Bush" than I am. In the first season, it appeared that these people really lived and survived in the Alaskan wilderness. However, in recent episodes I've noticed their clothes aren't even dirty and their hands are clean. Furthermore, they have and use more modern tools than I have in my garage. The women wear more jewelry than most women and their fingernails are painted. How do you explain that? Moreover, one of the son's now have braces and a tattoo. In the last episode, I noticed the family now has a suburban, truck and a newer camper. Additionally, let's not forget the massive boat the family purchased last season.
Please explain, how a family living off the wilderness can obtain so much in just a few seasons. This show is a fake and I will no longer be watching . Lastly, I think this show is an embarrassment to the true Alaskan people.

The Alaskan Bush People, first of all, are not Alaskans. When not filming for Hollywood, they lived in California. When the wife was diagnosed with cancer, they moved to Colorado. Now they bought property and moved to Washington state. They never were Alaskans, just actors. The show should be changed to Washington Bush People. Stop lying to the gullible people in this country, and stop embarrassing real Alaskans, and Alaska. Another example of Hollywood BS.

Discovery Channel mexican discovery channel

My family and I live in Chihuahua, Mexico.
We love The Discovery channel. Our cable provider here is Total Play.
We have contacted them repeatedly about watching programs in their
original language.
We've been told that it is Discovery channel who makes that option.

There are maybe 3 million Ex-Pats living here in Mexico who would like to
have the option of seeing their favorite programs in English.
Not in some chilango dubbing that is terrible.

Please at least give me the courtesy to respond to why this is not being
applied here in Mexico. Thank you.

I thought Discovery channel was about science and technology yet you cancel a show that is that to make room for [censored] shows about non scientific nor educational crap. Mad Dog made was a great show that showcased the workings of a small family shop that took things to the next level and increased the items potential. If you cant support this type of programming then what a waste of a cable channel

Discovery Channel shark week naked and afraid!

Hello not sure if this is the right place to tell you how disappointed my family is in how NAKED AND AFRAID is how you end shark week!wtf? This is alot of families tradition and like us we involve the kids! Your network thought it was OK to do a 2 hour special with naked people and the blur lines were a joke they barely covered, yuk! Hope your ratings sucked and you lost money like we did, as we threw a last day shark party, for what to see [censored] cracks instead of sharks! Can't believe noone spoke up on how inappropriate this would be for children! I will rally for another animal channel to do shark week for you have lost all of our families support, which I feel after this stunt alot more will follow! Thanks for ruining our annual fun, hope whomever made this is call is FIRED!

Discovery Channel cooper's treasure has been preempted on account of shark week

Coopers Treasure normally in the 9PM Friday time slot is cancelled due to shark week? Really? not nice, just sayn

This show is informative, it has suspense, it is real and it stars Darrell Miklos whom is a caring man who is dedicated to the wishes of Gordon Cooper who has since past away. The treasure hunt is exciting, it is educational and fans would appreciate if you kept the regular time slot of Friday 9PM instead of a shark show. yikes!

Discovery Channel cutting edge reno

I want to let you know how many people you disappointed with not giving Cutting Edge Reno a chance on HGTV especially after the numbers were soo good and the likeabilty of Landon Mondragon as the main one of the show! His knowledge, his artistic talent added so much to this show! I think you should give this show the chance it deserves and satisfy the appetites of the people who want to see more!

Discovery Channel advertising

I think the discovery channel advertising a movie that promotes killing sharks during Shark Week is extremely greedy and crappy practice. I would rather see someone kill Jason Statham for his [censored]ty acting than see another commercial for "Meg", which i wouldn't go to see if they paid me. I'm so sick of seeing the commercial for this [censored] movie that i am already done watching shark week, (which i always previously dearly loved) on Monday night.

Discovery Channel discovery go on roku glitchy commercial

There is a car commercial that is played on Discovery Go for Roku that is ruining my ability to watch your programming, and this is the third time I have reported it this month. It is a white car with a blue headlight accent, and the announcer says "this may look...", followed by the screen freezing, and it starts the commercial over again. You can't get past this glitch, so I have not seem more than 10 minutes of any show for almost a month. You need to remove this commercial from the viewer line-up ASAP. Please respond to this request when you have resolved this error, or I will be cancelling my viewership.u

Discovery Channel website

I love the Discovery Channel, but their website is poorly designed and a hassle to use. I wanted to watch Naked and Afraid: Savage, which was a series that was only offered online, and I got several error messages when I was trying to load the videos saying that they weren't supported by my browser (safari). Once I did get an episode to play, I got ads about every 2-3 minutes so I just gave up.

"What a stupid broad! Lie you can't drive a 900hp car on the street. Get your [censored] in the kitchen and make me a sammich!"

This is inexcusable and you should consider removing it. I'm a woman and likely 50% of your potential audience is too.

Discovery Channel discovery channel new shows

I am an avid discovery channel fan. It is a channel that plays shows which I am interested in, and don't have to watch shows which I am not interested in. This evening, instead of watching naked and afraid, deadliest catch or gold rush- even if they are reruns- "The Big Bang Theory" was playing. If I wanted to watch that, I could go to any other comedy channel to view this program and I find this new programming unacceptable. In no way is the Big Bang theory a show that should be playing on Discovery. Please refrain on playing these crappy shows and return your regular programming which should be played on the Discovery Channel. I am not interested in watching [censored].

Discovery Channel discovery channel/ a.m. c. programming

Several issues need to be addressed.First, please STOP running Hitler/Nazi programs constantly. The viewing public gets the idea.It need not be the dominant subject weekly as it has been. This is beyond obsessive behavior and needs to be reigned in quickly.

Secondly, "Dr." Lynette Pusbacher, no matter which gender, has the most annoying voice and is a arrogant so-called military ex-spurt (who never served in ANY military capacity or combat other than what he/she read in books) that seems more intent on irritating viewers as opposed to any other purpose.I do realize it is impossible to edit this hack out of already recorded programs. Its time this gal go and not be utilized for future programming.Put that ugly annoying mad cow out to pasture.AHC viewers did not do anything to deserve being irritated this way.It would be in everyone's best interest not to force viewers to change the channel permanently.

Third. It is a shame there isnt programs regarding battles of each war. For instance, I have never viewed a show detailing Vietnam battles particularly the battle of Battle of Xa Cam My in 1966.Its time to get back to giving commentary to veterans and not to annoying so called "military historians".

I will withhold my appreciations until I see and can acknowledge that you have read this letter and are working in that direction to deal with the current problems with AHC shows.

Sincerely,
John Hufnagel
