I purchased a car from drivehere 2001 mercury first day taking it home the radio goes haywire speaker stop working. there was a big hole in the car seat they told know problem all you have to do is take it to the shop they will fix of cause when i got there.. they said it would be a extra charge.. so i just said forget about. Now the real dinger is i thought i was financing the car but recently i found out I'm actually leasing the car.. my heart sunk to my stomach these guy took advantage of me.. i had know idea about any of this .. everything about this company
I am writing this letter to express my total dissatisfaction with Drive Here. I purchased a 1995 Nissan, Altamia in September of 2007.
I will start at the beginning and work to my present issues as of Saturday 10/9/2010.
1) When I first purchased my car from Drive Here, I was told the car would cost me $50 a week. I told the sales rep that I wanted to purchase the car. At that time he informed me he made a mistake and the car would be $60 per week. He also informed me that All Drive Here Loans were for 2 and a half years. I was excited about purchasing the car and really paid know attention to the paper work. Approximately a two years into my loan I realized that my loan was for almost 3 and a half years. A blatant LIE but I accepted it since I had not read all the loan papers at the time of purchase.
2) Two days after I purchased my car the engine light came on. Drive Here sent me to Car Vision, for the repair. They kept my car for three days and when I was driving home a hub cap came flying off my car. I immediately called them and was given a hard time; I was told it was my problem. (They did finely admit and replace the hub cap)
3) I have always maintained the necessary car insurance that Drive Here requires. Every time, I have submitted my insurance declaration when requested, and EVERYTIME Drive Here contacts me two or three weeks later to tell me I have failed to do so! This has happen at least 3 times.
4) In October 2009, I was contacted by a fix credit rep from Drive Here. I went in and signed up for their program. They informed me they would have my credit at 720 within a year. They sent out 1 set of letters and my credit score remains at 593.
5) I received a notice from Drive Here in May or June of 2010, asking me to come in to Drive Here (new facility) and set up automatic payments. When I arrived there, and after the woman had finished with her 5 minute personal phone call. She looked and talked to me like I was from another planet and stated she didn't know what I was referring to. I left very unhappy.
6) Last of all, and most importantly, I have had nothing but PROBLEMS with Drive Here's service department. I have never had a good experience with anyone there. I have taken my car there 3 times for inspection and a number of other times for maintenance issues. Every time I have made an appointment to get my car inspected they have kept my car for days and days they never called me to inform me of any delays. The only way I find out about the status of my car is if I call them (and go on hold for 15 minutes) or go there in person.
7) As of today, Saturday 10/9/2010 my car is still at Drive Here's service dept. I dropped of my car (by appointment) to get inspected on Thursday 10/7. I was told it needed front and rear sway bars and rear brakes, for inspection. I asked if that was all it would need for inspection, and was told YES. I was also told it would be done that afternoon and they would call me when it was ready. I RECEIVED NO CALL AT ALL! and had to walk home. On Friday morning I received a call from the service dept. informing me that my emergency brake cable needed to be replaced before my car could be inspected (another 60 dollars). When I asked about why I wasn't told about this on Thursday, they simply stated they didn't know about it then. I informed the people at Drive Here that I had to have my car by Friday afternoon, I was told that should not be a problem and that someone would call me when it was done. At about 1:30pm I and still not received a call from DH, so I called them, after being put on hold 3 times and after 25 minutes I actually got to talk to a person. I was told they would be unable to get a brake cable for my car until Saturday. When I asked why I had to call them, to find this out I got no acceptable response. I was then told they would do there best to get me a loaner vehicle and that they would call me back later Friday afternoon, AGAIN I RECEIVED NO CALL. Now Saturday has come and gone NO PHONE CALLS AGAIN, but I stopped in there about 2:30 today so that they could inform me that they couldn't get my emissions test done, they also stated that they hoped to have it done on Monday, "maybe".
My car was finally inspected and returned to me around the
22nd of the month.
In late November Drivehere called to ask me if I had one of there loaner cars from October, apparently they lost one.
On December 28 my car was hit while parked and totaled out.
Drivehere.com would not respond to my insurance company and actually hung up on them. When they finally got around to issuing the letter of guarantee it was for all most twice what was actually owed on the vehicle. When Nationwide told them it was to much money, there response was “send us all the money and we will give Mr. Bartsch the difference.
I am trying to get them shut down. My name is Bless and I posted my story as well. Contact me if you want to help. Blesscsc25@gmail.com
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
Ok, where do I begin...lets see, January 2009 I purchased a car from this establishment and had some issues with the car but I needed a car so I took it back and forth to the deal for issues with the engine, breaks, leaks and noise...I dont even know how many times in less than a year. In January 2010, I had to get an inspection...well I took it to the shop in Norristown and they did the inspection, a week later the car caught on fire...so I had a loaner from them, u know the cars with all the damn proud print on them? Well I had that car for a whole month as they tried to figure out how, when and why my car caught on fire. Of course they denied them being the problem and wanted me to pay them $500 to get out of my old loan and get into a new one. Once again, for work I needed another car so I paid them $200 and got a Kia...well after 6 trips to the shop in a 2 week span, the car was finally running ok, but not after taking it to the Kia dealer as requested by the owner and getting an estimate that they didnt like, they decided to fix the car...well since the fire, I have not taken my car back to that shop for anything that needed to be fixed as of yet. Now the inspection of the Kia is due this month but I am scared to death to take my car back to them because I can see it catching on fire once again. I have had issues with them calling me over 10 times a day damn near for a payment but they dont want to sell cars that are reliable and trustworthy. I have had issues with them since day one and will NEVER send anyone that I know nor dont know to that rip off lot to purchase a vehicle and once I am done with this one, if I dont have to bury it first due to death by fire, I will be doing all I can to expose them. I think its time to call Dave Stratweiser from Fox 29 to get on the case of the LEMONS being sold...

Bad Service/Scam artists!
My husband and I have been unfortunately dealing with this company for over a year now. We have been incompletely satisfied with their customer service, the vehicle, and their fraudulent mishandling since the moment we left that lot. My husband and I are very young, in our mid-twenties. We needed a vehicle to get around in, and unfortunately I had bad credit and my husband had no credit. Someone told us about Drive Here, and I decided to give it a shot. Initially, we were very excited. It was our first vehicle, and we chose it on the lot. That's where are the lies began. The sales team were extremely rude, unhelpful, and barely spoke a work of English. Because we were in such a desperate need of a vehicle, we figured they were just having a bad day, and we were going to go ahead with the plan. Before we even sat down to sign the papers they lied and told us that we only had to pay $500 down, but somehow they got us to spend $1000 instead. The sales rep Ray also lied to us and stated that we were leasing the car, not financing it as well. He told us that we could return the car in ten months once our credit was repaired, and we were free to go anywhere else with our better credit to get a vehicle. My husband and I loved the idea, and went along with it because we really wanted a newer car eventually. Ray stated that they weren't a "car dealership", that they were a credit restoration company selling cars to "help us out". We found out ten months later that was an outright LIE. Of course, they made us feel like we "heard them wrong", but Steve the VP told us that they are a "lease-to-own" company, and the only way that we can get rid of this truck is to trade it in and get ANOTHER vehicle that they are selling, or BUY OUT. I was shocked, hurt, and felt used. Anyway, when we left the lot we were ecstatic. The truck wasn't in tip top shape, but we figured we would bite the bullet and deal with it until we got more on our feet. Days later we found out that the heater/air conditioner and the radio did not work. We did not initially check this stuff because it was in the summer and we just wanted to make sure the car ran properly. We let those issues go. My husband and I opted to have direct payments withdrawn every week. That was immediately a bad idea. First off, they do not take the money out on a designated day. Some days they take it out on a Friday, some days they take it out on a Monday, and other days they'll take it out on a Tuesday. There were weeks where they even skipped a week, and decided to take two weeks of payments out instead! I could not BELIEVE it! I had to constantly track my bank statement to make sure that they did not overdraw me. I have spoken to them many of times about their professionalism issues and the fact that they were taking the money whenever they felt like it. There were times where they hounded me to make a payment, and I would have to continuously tell them that I was on AUTOMATIC PAYMENT, and that they should be grabbing the payments, not me having to deal with it. There were other times where they actually DID overdraw our account and we had to take care of those problems. As the months progressed, my husband and I barely drove the truck. In a year span of time, we might have only driven a little over 3000 miles on it, and the truck was having a ton of issues. A tire rod issue, the engine went, and other major issues as well. In July 2010, my husband and I were nearly in an accident when the truck just stopped working in the middle of the highway. We immediately called Drive Here. I had to fight with them to come pick it up off the highway without charging us. I also demanded that they fix the truck and not charge us for the truck until it was fixed since we should not have been having those issues with a truck that we barely drove 3000 miles on. They reluctantly agreed, surprisingly. Well...They had the car for over two weeks. After many problems, the time my husband and I had to take off from work to go there time and time again, and the hassle...We thought the truck would would work. WRONG. The truck is sitting in front of our house because now the alternator and other stuff is not working. We are completely dumbfounded in how this truck is a complete junker, and how this company keeps on getting away with thieving their customers. We have never missed a payment, and always pay on time. Today, I went online to my bank statement and saw that Drive here took out $119.00 instead of their usual $115.00. I called them and spoke with Ray at extension 134 to see why they took more money out. He told me that on July 28th, 2010 there was no payment listed on the account, so they just took money from my account without calling or authorizing it with me first! Are they able to do that? I told them that Steve authorized that when the truck was not working and they were fixing it, that they would cover two weeks worth of payments. The truck went in on July 21st and we did not get it back until August. I tried telling Ray this, but all he did was threaten to hang out on me, and that Steve would have to call me back. This scenario should have been DOCUMENTED months ago. Why are they NOW taking money out of my account unauthorized for a payment that should have been "taken out" at that time? Once again, I am on automatic bill pay, so this is not my fault. I have had so many other issues with this company, but I do not have all day to list them all. With all of their lies, deceit, and promises for fixes and never getting them, I have had enough. I have gone through a great amount of emotional trauma from these people, and I have seen that they have put many people through the same heart break as well. Something needs to be done with this immediately, as they are scamming thousands of people. I have proof from my bank statements of all of their mishandling, etc. I have access to phone records or all the time that I have spent on the phone with them dealing with all of these problems, and I have the testimony of various people who have dealt with the same problems.
I just sent a letter to the attorney general about the scam and how they lie about the early termination. According to my contract, I can terminate my contract for a "fee". Found out that the "fee" is the remaining balance of the vehicle! Why would there be a termination fee of $10, 000 just to return the vehicle? Doesn't make sense and tricks people. I am looking into attorneys at the moment.
I can be contacted at msprado1025@aol.com
You guys need to keep this going. i have also fallen victim to their poor customer service and definetly feel emotional stress caused by this so called company. I GOT A NOTE FOR MISSING TWO PAYMENTS ON MY CAR @ MY PLACE OF WORK! Thats a violation under the Fair Debt Collections Act. So, I suggest you address the BBB or The Attorney General ASAP! I love the FOX29 idea too. Dont be surprised if you see ME on the news very soon. We need everyone to come together to STOP THEM IMMEDIATLY! email is k8tdoll@gmail.com
Drive here.com screwed me over too. I got a car from these scammers on July 2010. I said to myself DRIVEHERE it should be called DRIVE WHERE. I seen a 2001 Buick Century loved the car. It had the ABS/Traction light on. I told Enrique about. He told me not
a problem I will have it fixed before pick up. Right there I should left it alone. Being in need of a car. They got me good. When I came to pick up the car it still had these lights on. That should been a red light. I told him I don't feel safe. I told him that I'm returning the car. He told be I can't take the car back. These people gave me such a run around to resolve the problem. As today no one ever called me or made an attempt to see if they could help. I agree totally don't be fooled by these places that say BUY HERE PAY HERE. Keep it moving. Use your money to go to a "REAL DEALERSHIP". I am definitely down to sign, protest or start some ### to put there scammers out of business. Let me know. thisguy1970@yahoo.com

I have good info about the illegal things they do! So if anyone want to start lawsuit .cmbsure13@yahoo.com I have proof.
I have the same problem with them before they moved to this new location. I want to start a class action lawsuit against this company because they are robbing us bind and screwing up our credit in the process. I am going to talk to my lawyers and find out if we have a case. If we do, then everybody needs to come together and testify against these crooks. All that have a ligitimate complaint can contact me at: rwilliford34@gmail.com
In new york they had a similar scam. Cars where marked at 75$ - $200 down. But once you went to do the paper work you found out that the $75 - $100 down was the weekly payments for a old high milege cars. Then they would hit you with a 12% intest rate on the car. I have a new vehicle and I was just very curious about "DriveHere.com" As soon as the video of the ads-man showed up in the right hand corner of my computer I knew it was a scam. He looked shifty. Also I clicked on a 1998 Buick vehicle and it showed a 0 milege and no picture. They lure you in and take your cash. I agree with the complaint. Don't purchase from these people they will take you for a ride. Buy what you need and can afford. Don't buy what they try to sell you! Too many dealers out there with legal businesses to stop at one.

are you serious? Any store in a major metropoliton area or city are going to ask to check for ID when a credit card tranactions is pending. I'm a white, young professional and I get asked for ID when Im buying office supplies at my local staples in Center City Philadelphia. Secondly, you should feel safer that someone is asking for your ID before they run your card, it's a service t you as a consumer. Just another person who thinks they are being delt a bad hand by merchants, I'd suggest focusing your energy elsewhere and it may knock that chip off of your shoulder, and have you pocket that 'race card' you like throwing out there.
bad bussiness

I brought a 2002 Taurus and the heat didn't work sounds like the engine and transmission are about to go and I only had this car for 5 months.
I wouldn't send my worst enemy here they are a rip off
Im trying to see how i can shut this business down my check engine light was on for 2 months i brought it to them they told me my gas cap wasnt on tight till a couple days ago my car jus break down on the express way which i had to pay for my own towing company and they got my car the next morning for 3days with out giving me nothing to get around in but they wanted me to pay a fee for what i needed but guess what i drive all the way home in my check engine light pops right back on ! THE WORST COMPANY I WOULDNT DARE TELL 5 PEOPLE
I see I'm not the only one they screwed over. I got a 2003 Seabring in March of 2013. My mom told me the da I brought the car to take it back because she felt it wasn't right. Well I should have listen to her. My brake system collapsed. I have children and that is dangerous. The car has been in the shop more then I had it. And I only had it for 18 months. How can a Class Action Lawsuit be filled against these thieves?
i had bought a 1998 nissan sentra from these people. they just brought the car in and told me to go around back to look at it. i have had it at their NASTY rude shop about 3 times and im still having problems with the car. after all was said and done my bill was 11, 000. i could of freaking got a brand new car for that price. im still payin on it, its down to like 6, 000. im totally getting ripped off! i should of never been so quick to get into a car! i would never send anyone to that place EVER! i have no clue what i can do about it so if anyone knows please let me know!

I hate drive here, like my car been messed up from beginning. I have been complaining since the when I got the car. I have not yet talked to pablo martin he didnt call me. they trying to put a broke down car on my credit (which I found out they cant do if the car broke and you not goning bo fix it then put it on my credit, big lawsuite) because I dont want the vehicle no more thats because they are bad business im paying to much for a ten year old car, that was over the millage. the car was a lemon and they knew it. the people there have been so rude to me. I am taking legal action now and they will know soon and im bring people I meet up with other upset costomers and also every news station there is. I will make sure it is shut down or dont get no business. I want my contract void and my money back. they have the car its broken down for the second time after it keep cutting off since I got it. they will see me soon in from of their lot with everyone person around the world watching. customoer service my # I havent got any since I got the car...
If u take the car back 3 times for the same problem, that is considered a lemon! I fought ford for a lemon and one. Lets get something started!
First I would like to say that I am glad to here that I am not the only one that these crooks have scammed. It will make the lawsuit much more believable but here is a bit of information for you; the lemon law only applies to vehicles that are within 7 years old from the current year. That means that if the car is a 1999 and this is 2011, you could not file a lemon lawsuit.
As far as the tracking, they should have told you that they can track all of their cars. Not telling you is not a crime but they cannot go into anyones property to retrieve a car. You should have called the cops and they could have used the tracking information provided by Drive Here to gain access to the property. And they still can! But once the car was stolen, your insurance should have taken care of the remainder of the bill for the car. If they did not, then your beef is with your insurance provider, not DriveHere.
I do not like the things that they do to people or how they treat people, but there are some things that we, as consumers are responsible for, and it sounds to me that there is a lot that you are not saying.
I want to start a class action lawsuit against these people and I do not want anyone in with me that is not going to help! I want people that are going to go all of the way with this like me! Anyone that is willing to do this, and has a legit beef, can join up with me via email: rwilliford34@gmail.com
I have posted many things telling everyone what to do, where to file their complaints so that they mean something, and who to send letters of complaint to. You have to be willing to do the work or else there is no reason to complain! I'm ready to move forward with this. How about you?
uggghhhh finally! lets please start a lawsuit against these ###! I purchased a car from drivehere.com March of 2010. I was sold this car by Maria Gonzalez as well. She seemed really helpful at first. Due to my credit they told me that I only quailfied for one car on the lot. So I thought to myself "oh boy this inventory is already crap now I only quailfy for one car." So she walked me up to a 1999 Burgandy Buick Century. I was acutally surprise! By the appearence this was one of the better looking cars. So we test drove the car as she talked business. BAD IDEA! She fast talked me as I drove around this ostracized neighborhood.
Trying to figure out where the hell I was going. So long story short I took the deal. Now as I drove the car home I was trying to figure out why I only quailfied for this car. It seemed to be a good car. HA! The joke was on me. Within 30days I was back and forth to that dry, hot, unprofessional, tight service shop 12 times with numerous different problems (A LEMON LAWSUIT BY THE WAY).Worst mistake of my life. So here's the kicker, my car was stolen in March of this year(2011). I recently discovered that drive here has tracking devices on ALL of their vehicles so I asked them to track my car down to be found. Coincidentally my car was located in Norristown inside of a garage that couldn't be searched without a warrant. For some odd reason they claimed that they couldn't get a warrant. So I said ok. Thats fine I've been wanting to get rid of this junker anyway. So I will no longer be making payments on a car for someone else to be driving around in. Their response was " Its not our fault your car was stolen, your are still obligated to pay the $200 every two weeks for your car." THESE PEOPLES ARE JOKES! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM DRIVEHERE.COM!
wrongful termination
I was terminated 05/28/2010. HR MGR Monica Mayer told corporate office that I threatened General MGR Bob Rockov. And witnesses say that was a lie. My wife called corporate a couple of weeks ago, and cause Bob's son to be terminated. Since then, the company has tried everything possible to set me up for termination. My overtime that was accrued was not paid...

Hello everyone...these guys are scammers and racist. The sales person and the credit guys were very rude. The car I have now drives better than any cars on their lot. When I went to test drive the car the sales guy had to jump the car in front of it and then had to jump the actual car I wanted to test drive. I left with a very bad taste in my mouth and told them I will come back when they have a better inventory and don't have to jump start the cars that I want to buy. So, the first persons description is accurate even if you do not like his grammar.

I need to know something my wifes caregiver just brought a car from drive here. but did she do wrong. she traded her car in and they paided her $1500. for her car. she brought a 2008 kia soranto.they told her if shes unsatify she can bring the car back for another. do u think she did wrong by trading in her car. please reply asap.
Total scammers, they buy cars at the auction for $500 then proceed to take advantage of minorities and similar offering via social media and the internet cars for $1 down.
Cars that leak/burn oil they use aviation oil (we have the oil in a car tested, the results are now with the PA Attorney General) so that the buyer doesn't realize the car is burning oil until after an oil change. More of the same tricks with other cars.
They're marketing is run to take advantage of the ones that they should not be. Facebook has kicked them off several times and they keep coming back with new pages. Total scums and poor ethics.
Anyone who works here, never trust. Ever.

Has anyone's car cut off dead smacked in the middle of the highway? Well mines did and I took my car there to be fixed at least 3 times in two weeks. Its very amazing how they won't for you to pay for the service to be fixed but they don't fix it. I can say that they do a better job at taking people's money other than completing the job at hand. esssington ave has horrible communication skills! Well not everyone does but most do, its time that they own up to what they are doing and start reimbursing some of that cash they took from people like us.
My husband an dI brought a car in 2/2010 and was charged more than a dollar, which wasn't want was promised. The car broke down as soon as s we got ii home and they promised to fix it. They came and got the car and we had to go back to conchohocekn from south philly to get it. Got it home and it broke down again. Caled a lawyer to see how to get out of this deceptive agreement and unworthy car for the road and the lawyer called and they never returned hi scar. We wrote a letter to terminate the contacrt and asked that they come and get the car for it wasnot worthy for the highway as promised and they came an d got the car because we refused to pay for a car that we couldnot drive ever. They came after a while picked up the car and then put it down as a repossession and it no on our credit report destroying alot of other credit potential.
Hi yes I feel like drive here is scam I'm in the shop at less twice a week is keep and still have the same problem and every time I go for service you begin to see the same folks I'm ready to call 6 on my side they need to be put out of business you are ripping the consumer off its sad you are taking a advantage of people that can't get a car or the poor I won't stop until they close you down plus you are charging for a 1000 dollar car for 12000
once you sign on the dotted line, the sales persons whole attitude changes. I had to dispute them on my credit report because they did not report me for the 2yrs ive had the car. only about 4 months. WHY? because it cost them to report. when I informed them of this, they illegally ran my credit without my permission. BIG MISTAKE!. on top of that I applied for a mortgage and couldn't get one because my credit history was too short. AFTER 2 YRS OF PAYMENTS? THERE ### IS MINE! I HAVE A GREAT LAWYER ON DECK, WHO IS WITH ME? LET PUT THESE NUTTS OUTTA BUSINESS. LETS START A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT IF NEEDED. WE HAVE TO COME TOGETHER! IF YOUR WITH ME WE CAN ALL SIGN A PETITION N GET THE BALL ROLLING. EMAIL ME! bessie.freeman@yahoo.com this is the only way out of that piece of junk your driving and that long over payment for nothing. LETS GOOO PEOPLE! EMAIL ME ASAP!
