I have cancelled my credit card 10 days back and the balance on teh card was paid through Arab bank and enclosed with the check there was a guarantee letter from Arab bank valid for 45 days, accordingly I do understand that i have to wait 35 days for clearnace letter however and since there is a guarantee letter from my bank why it should take as long.

I approached your agent ms. Binesh-[protected] asking for card transfer on 18/7/18. My requirement was I need before 27/7/17 as I am travelling to india. She said ok. Since then I have not received the cheque for the transfer. Evrrytime she gives cock and bull story. I asked help me with your superior number she said she will arrange a call back. This isshamful on your path emplying a person who gives false promise on behalf of bank and spoiling the image of bank.

My card no. Is [protected] actually i cleared my full amount before coming to india . i applied request of cancelling my credit card. They asked me to come to dubai first branch so i said ok and leave my card like this and i asked them about charges bt No one informed me regarding any charges. The next month one bill got generated of 90 dhrms. I was not able to pay that because i am in india and i don't have any relatives in dubai. N again this month my bill got generated of 389 dhrms including late fine. So i have request to help me out with this as i cant pay these untold charges .
unclear charges / unresponsive call center / unethical behaviour - dubai last bank
Right from procuring the liability letter request till submitting a final settlement, I have faced one of the worst bank services in my life. The customer care centre is clueless of who took the 1st request and where does it stand in the system. "15 working days" to issue a letter has taken over 30 days and that too after me relentlessly following-up on mails and calls asking for the status.
Once the letter is given, there is no break-up or explanation of what the amount includes. A liability letter contains the complete overdue amount, but still there are unclear add-on charges which were asked to pay, unless which the settlement cheque will not be issued was the answer.
Ms. Namrata from the liability recovery department had the most unethical and 'i don't care a damn' attitude. She definitely needs counselling on handling clients, who she believes are dumb. Her tone of speaking to the customers, attitude towards responses is pathetic. She needs to learn from her junior (Sehar) on how to speak to customers. When the customer is asking questions she just mummers to herself, showing disgust in even talking to the person in front of her.
Lastly once a cheque is settled, a clearance letter should take 7 days or 15 days on the max. "Our bank has policy of giving it after 35 days" is the reply I get. 1 day to clear the monies and 34 days to type a letter that your customer is no longer due of any charges? Emirates NBD has far better understanding in the matter than Dubai First.
I will definitely advise all my friends and colleagues to immediately terminate any relations/dealing with Dubai First Bank or like I mentioned, Dubai Last Bank.

This is the worst banking finance ever! Beware of their hidden charges and worst customer service! All their customer service agents are rude! Definitely bad experience! Do not get from this bank finance I swear you'll regret it.
Customer service is most important, first thing you have to make your customers happy and satisfied and then they'll trust you afterwards. Then after that they will have good ewxperiemce and will definitely recomment and expand your popularity and good service to other people. If you are the merchant you have to make sure you'll provide all the details correctly and efficiently to your customers.
None of these fit to this company! Worst experience banking with them ever! So beware. It's up to you. If you really need and want to give it a try, we'll see what you can get after. Sorry to say this but really the worst of the worst definitely I will not recommend.

Hi, I have installments pending for payment in dubai first credit card. My concern is I don't get any confirmation SMS or email regarding the date of my installments. Because of which m always paying late payment fine of 249 every month. Apart from that, this credit shield option I never choose, but m always paying for it without my will or agreement for it. I m so pissed off with this bank services. Just help me with closing of my card, and suggest the procedure. So unsatisfied and sad by having this card.

Completely agree. The worst bank services and customer management that I have experienced. You will have to make some rounds to their office, but get your card closed.

Im one of your loyal clients who never failed to pay my dues on date. March 2016 I got my dubai first credit card, I started on 15k aed credit limit, now after almost 1 year and 4 months I am enjoying 30k aed credit limit, until july 2. Last june sales representatives has been calling me non stop offering cash loans, and smart loans this easy payment plans with minimum.99 interest. I spoked to ms. Cristina who has been so lovely by the way, giving me suggestion how I can make a smart plan, on the june 28, I mentioned to her that I am out of my job already since last year may 2016 (2 months after I get the card) I wasnt aware that in terms of un employment I need to inform them because it will automatically blocked my card. She informed me that she cant process my smart loan since I changed my status from employment to "housewife visa". On the other hand I am paying dubai first minimum 2800 aed a month or up to 5000 aed a month. Sometimes im reaching to 8000 depends on the season.
I used to put the bills, house rent, groceries on my card to gain points and soon will be able to avail or redeem thus lovely offers they have been advertising. Any way to make the story short, by then june 27 to 28 I was already aware that I cannot take smart loan since I have a big purchased for the month of may around almost 18k aed and need to settle 12k on the 6th of july. I do prepare my cash as usual. On june 30th thursday between 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm theres your staf mr erick from dubai first sales department called me, asking and convincing me the same offer (Smart loan for my purchase) I do informed him that I am now on my husband visa and I spoke to his colleagues from dubai first also that theres such a policies, by his sales talk he told me that "it is okey" I even clarified it over the phone (please I am insisting to listen on our conversation) and stil he said that its all fine since I am a good payer client. I told him that I will get back on him or give me a call on saturday he told me that "ma'am can you confirmed it to me by today because you know its end of the month so I can put it on my sales' so I know that maybe he wants to meet his quota/target by june then again I told him,"okey go ahead but I am not employed and you told me that I wont be a problem. And confirmed it to me 100% its okey.
By saturday I followed up and he said that its on process on sunday it was approved. July 2 a again one of your staff name noel called me telling me that my loan has been cancelled and I need to pay the full amount by 6th. I was shocked and looking for your staff erick, ive been trying to reached him but his not attending anymore of my call ive stayed like 2 to 3 hours calling the customer service to know the status and full details of my cards. They have informed me that it was blocked! I was getting frustrated because if no one is informing me.
I make a complaint for the negligence, rudeness and unprofessional service of this men (Your staff noel and erick)
1. Mr erick has been careless sales man who just wanna meet his quota and putting me in a very difficult situation.
2. I already spent some of the money that I supposed to pay on my july 6th dues but since I was informed that my smart loan is okey so I need to put the money on some bill payment also.
3. Mr noel or even mr. Erick didnt informed me or anyone of dubai first that my card is blocked! Good I haven't used my card as I dont want to be in a situation that I dont have cash and I use my card for dining etc.
3. They put me in a hard situation where I need to produce/gather 12thousand aed in such short period of time (july 3 to july 6) what if I didnt manage to arrange cash? This will give me penalties and other extra charges, and the amount is quit big. I never in my approx 4 years stay in uae have a problem with the banks, I do always settle credits and loan on due date.
5. Mr erick has been very unprofessional and dont know the policies of his own company, its like me as a client we usually really dont know some of the policies I know its not an excuse but this will never be an excuse for them. They must be well educated on thus terms and condition.
I am very upset and unsatisfied loyal customer here I never face such an issue on some other banks, now they blocked my card, and to add on my frustration I cannot redeem my 700 aed worth out from my 110, 000 dinar points.
All I am hearing is that
"sorry madam we have policies" sorry madam all you can do now is just keep us paying "sorry madam you cannot activate your card unless you will provide us your financial capabilities like business or if you find another job"
I was like, yes I have business and if ever I want to use any credit cards of course no way I will use your service again. Before mr. Eric called me I already prepared my docs to submit my financial capabilities to continue my card but after this very upsetting chaos? No way I will go back and get my self your card!
I was extremely disappointed for your team, noel and erick didnt even handle me in a professional manner and no even a courtesy call from me. Eric to inform me what happened.
This is very unfair, next time if your sales man will knock or offer some credit card please educate us that once in a while there will be some sales person who will call me and he is not educated on your rules. Please inform us that you guys are hiring people who are just meeting their target as sales man! That you guys put your client in a very disappointing and shaming situation. Well this is just being honest at least to your customer
And guess what? Until now its has not been resolve yet! Bravo and kudos to you mr. Erick and me. Noel, and if any higher management can read my post I hope that this has been addressed to you, we are here in uae, and these guys are working on behalf of dubai first, we are talking about financial and money here. You have a lot of loyal and good paying customers out there where ending up in a mess because of these kind of negligence. You guys must be accurate, particular and well aware of all your policies.

i have reached Dubai first to make an early settelment for my credit card loan surprisngly they are asking me to settle the interets for the full period, my balance on the card is almost 90, 000 AED and tehy are asking me to pay 125, 000 which is totaly rediculouse, it is well known that any early settlement penalty is usually 1 or 2 % and accoridng to UAE cetnral bank policy it should only be 1%
Today 9/7/2017 I stopped by Dubai first to close and cancel my credit when i asked about the balance i was surprised that its more by almost 35000 AED and after asking why was that, they informed me that i will have to pay the full interest of the loan noting that the last payment of the loan is after 31 months. when i told them that this is rediculouse and the penalty should not be more than 1% they said that this is their policy.

I have already raised this same complaint through email but didn't get any response.
I got to know that my dubai first credit card was free first year. For second year there is annual fees but I was unaware about this fees as your sales person who issued me card, informed me that this card is lifetime free as it is an offer.
I don't want to continue my credit card as i will not pay any unnecessary fees.
Please cancel my credit card with immediate effect otherwise i need to raise the complaint to central bank.

sales guy told me interest rate on cash credit will be 0.69% and told limit will be good, after getting card they are saying interest rate is 1.30% (doubled overnight) and if i am calling they are making stories like it was never like that.
initially they said its free card and charging fees now on the name of mandatory insurance, very bad experience.
delaying of cancellation - credit card
I have a really bad experience with this Dubai First. This is an issue of cancellation request of the Dubai First credit card. I don’t get the idea why they can’t cancel a single credit card and why do they need me to chase them for this request for 3 years!
Every time I will call them for cancellation, they keep on informing to wait 6 months for them to cancel this card, for in fact I haven’t activated this card and I have paid an annual fee which is unfair. I even went to their office to sign the cancellation form and subsequently their agent called me that I am not yet allowed to cancel the card. This coming July 2017 is the renewal of my credit card annual fee, should I pay them again? even though I haven’t activated the card and used their poor costumer service. This delaying tactics is so desperate and their inexplicably bureaucracy is so horrible.
I am really hoping that you will help me to conclude this issue.

Requested to remove credit shield. April 28, they didnt remove it, logged a complaint May 6 No: 115934, they didnt remove it, i was charged 200+ dirhams, they only removed it on the 18th. Now i call and everybody is giving the run around, i logged another complaint 121412, the insurance team called me they said contact the customer care of dubai first because its their problem, and closed the case! Unbelievable! Now i logged another conplaint 122208. And the collections team is emailing me to pay because i didnt pay the remaining 111 on my current bill because im waiting for the refund. This is he worst CREDIT CARD with the worst CUSTOMER service in the UAE.

2 years back dubai first had presented my cheque and took all my outstanding after that I have called dubai first for releasing clearance letter and the call center agent confirms me that they ill provide me it will take 45 days but unfortunately haven't received plus they starting asking me more money to be paid now I m stuck as it is updated in etihad credit bureau.
Please help me to get out of this as our collection department people are not cooperating as well they are rude.

As i have some issue of payments from clients from last past 4 months i have borrow from my friends and my relative i have paid the amount some of minimum in the month of march and April one Ms.Hiba has advice me to go for a pre structure plan with the bank and clear all payrment in monthly so i also i have accented that after 15 of April one mr. I submitted the cheque on 16th of april 2017 against my credit card for the settlement, and still not yet done my settlement against my credit card and also they are saying you will get the clearance certificate after 35 days, in uae no banks having such a regulation except fgb, why I should wait for 35 days for getting clearance certificate, even if I miss any single payment against my credit card they use to talk like we will deposit the security cheque against your credit card and will file the police complaint, then why fgb should keep my money more than 45 days
