first secure insurance
Dear Team, There is one complaint lodged by me on helpline and got a call back also. I'm not putting my complaint into your status or on twitter right now, just want to see if I'll get a positive response from your side. Complaint no is 109253. Concern is I'm getting charged for First secure insurance since 2015, I had never applied for that. I got a call in 2015 and I clearly said that I don't want any policy but they got activated and I was not aware about this. I was paying that amount every month with knowing anything. I got a call and I asked for recording where I said to activate but the lady simply said we can't share, so how can I be convinced as I've never requested for activation. I want to see that recording or want refund. Else Ill escalate this matter to higher level and on social media as I want the resolution.

credit card closing & charges
I have been a Dubai First customer of your credit card for a while however a few months back I wished to close the credit card. I made the call to Dubai first and requested them to close the card, they informed me that someone would surely get in touch with me to close the card. No one got back to me. I called back a while later requesting to close the card...

Dubai first executive named "Ali" (Mob-[protected]) contacted by promising personal loan they collected documents and told to sign the application for personal loan. I was told that credit card will come free with loan & adviced to say 'yes' while customer care ask for verification whether I signed documents. All the verification completed and first they told me credit card is approved and personal loan application is under review and after some days I call the executive for status check but he has not attended the phone and after rigorous follow ups and complaints. Executive pick the phone and told me personal loan approval rejected due to 'non availability of previous credit history in uae'. The reason looks very surprising and I understand that they cheated me. Then I complaint lot of times and they said they will take action against executives which will not help plot sort my problems. Then I told to cancel my credit card as I have not requested for it and it came to be through a fraudulent arrangement of my signature. Then they said I have to pay AED 100 for early cancellation fee or I have to wait for 6 months to cancel the card. This is also not fare and not as per uae central bank law. I decided to go consumer court/central bank But I fear since I signed the documents they would have mentioned this 100 dirham fee in the application and oppose me in the consumer court & I don't have no strong evidence to prove this. Friends, Please don't take there products as this is such a rude and fraudulent bank and I am wondering how uae central bank giving license and not taking any actions against this bank even after numerous online complaints. I know that after 6 months they will tell me to pay some other charge (note: not yet activated the card)
complaint on service & quality manager (nafis khan)
I'm very disappointed with the way I had been treated by Customers service of Dubai first bank which are managed by someone who don't know any thing about quality and service manner, after I was straggling with unskilled customer service agents and provide me with different policy and rules, i requested to have call with any manager in floor and they were transferred me to some one called nafis, he didn't have any idea about my issue he wasn't even buzzer himself and listen to any of my calls to understand my issue, he was rod and don't know how to speak with customer he also refused to give me his name ?! and you can imagined that I'm talking about the service & quality manager of Dubai first bank !
any way its very sad that my first experience was like that, i just want from you guys to take look again to the people you hired specially @ front line of your company.
best regards,

unauthorized credit card charges
Dear Sir,
I have been a customer of Dubai First since the year 2008. I have had lifetime free credit cards from Dubai First as I do not believe in paying the annual fee for any credit card.
To my surprise, I received 2 new credit cards in 2016 (one visa card and one master card) which I have not activated till date. I was given to understand later that Dubai First had upgraded me to a Platinum card. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE NEVER REQUESTED THE BANK TO UPGRADE MY CREDIT CARDS AND THE UP GRADATION WAS DONE AT THE BANK'S OWN FREE WILL.
I received a statement in which Dubai First had charged me an Annual Fee of Dhs. 750/- for the visa card. I immediately informed the bank to cancel my card. When the cancellation dept. called me to find out the reason for the cancellation, I mentioned that it was the Annual fee. They then reversed the charges of Dhs. 750/-. I was happy and thought that the issue was resolved.
But, later on I was called by the customer care of Dubai First who insisted that I should pay the Finance charges & Credit Shield charges which amounts to Dhs. 26/-. I refused to pay the charges as these charges have been incurred ONLY due to the annual fee charges. I then complained to Customer Service who informed me that they would make a request for the same. To my surprise, I received a call today and the person from customer service who spoke to me informed me that I have to pay Dhs. 100/- in order to reverse the charges of Dhs. 26/-. I repeatedly asked him and he insisted that I should pay Dhs. 100/- to get the charges reversed. Does this make any sense? I was even threatened that if I do not pay Dhs. 100/- I am liable to get additional charges for late fee, finance charges etc. Is this how Dubai First treats their customers?
I have also requested Dubai First to cancel my Master Card bearing No: [protected] Exp 04/19. The request has been registered a few days back. I have been asked by the bank to visit one of the branches and sign the cancellation form in person.
My visa card details is as follows:
[protected] - Rajan Sudarshan
Paying Dhs. 26/- is not the issue but do you think it is fair to charge finance charges and credit shield charges when the Annual Fee itself was reversed. I have NEVER made any purchases with a Dubai First card for the past 7 years. Why should I pay any charges at all?
I hope to receive a positive reply from the bank at the earliest. I look forward to the bank solving this issue amicably.
Thanks and best regards,
Rajan Sudarshan - [protected]
customer service
Worst banking service response ever faced in uae. They speak a lot about the procedure for a card cancellation call back 3 days and when it was for a loan called in 1 day. I would recommend all my friends having this card to start cancel it asap.
The customer service speaks so rude for asking explanation why they need 3 days. They says you are asking same question repeatedly. Worst worst bank I would rate. I will surely make atleast 10 customers of yours to close the card, as I was the one who recommended them the card opening also.
Unethical & don't care attitude
I have given an request for the DF credit card cancellation by personally walking into one of DF branches on March1st 2017, as I had an outstanding balance overdue which the DF was supposed to reverse and they did the same on 8th march and eventually the account was NIL by 8th march. After which I also sent an email to { [protected]@dubaifirst.com } reminding them to cancel my Credit card along with a call to customer care on the same day. Despite of N number of email reminders and also calls to customer care no action on cancellation of the card has been taken till date. And whenever I call customer care they advise me to wait for few more days. I am attaching my chain of emails sent to DF but not a single reply from them nor they are able to answer me why the cancellation is taking so long.
The complaint has still not been resolved. Today I called the customer care asking if my credit card been cancelled, they tell me the cancellation sheet has been updated and the final cancellation of the credit card will be done within 10 more days ( not sure calendar days or working days ). That basically means my card is still active as i can see the status on my Dubai First Online login. After all the discussion with the customer care representative he finally agreed to take a formal complaint against whichever department it concerns to ( Complain ref. No 108675 ).Today is 22nd day since I have visted the branch and filled in the form for the card cancellation. During my visit in the branch the bank representative told me it takes 10 days ( from the day I have filled in th form ) all together for the card to be completely cancelled. This is the limit. In case it is not solved I am definately going to put up the complaint in other social forums. I also definately need an answer why there has been so much delay in the cancellation. Is it the ignorance of the concerned department or is it that you just dont care about the customers time, energy and patience put in order to resolve this.
credit card charges and credit shield
I have gone into some financial troubles and this credit card is so toxic that the charges are growing like a cancer. Although I demanded them to remove credit shield thing at the beginning as well as afterwards they still didn't do so.
Stay away from this toxic card.
I am asking them to reduce my whole outstanding so that I can finish it off in one payment by borrowing from someone else.
They have screwed me enough and still want to do so.
credit card shield
This has a reference to credit card shield on my credit card. i want to lodge a complaint that the time i signed a document from your agent, i asked her clearly about hidden charges and she replied to me that there is no any hidden charges on Dubai first credit card. unfortunately, i was unable to see credit card statement due to busy work schedule, but i made first installment before the due date because i received a message on my mobile about minimum due amount with the due date.
for the installment, in the month of March, 2017, i was unable to pay before due date, because i did not receive message on my mobile about due date and due amount. when i open credit card statement then i came to know that you bank is charging me for credit card shield without my approval/consent. as i have mentioned above that i clearly told your bank representative that i do not want any hidden charges.
Today, i called call center and talked to your representative about sms and credit card shield. he replied me that your bank does not have sms service, then i explained to him that but i received sms about the due date and due payment for my first payment . but this time i did not receive.
in the view of the above, kindly note that i will not pay for credit card shield, your bank have to cancel all credit card shield amount since beginning and i will not pay for the late payment as well. once you will cancel all these extra charges only then i will pay the installment.
waiting for your reply immediately,
Thanks & Regards,
Hassan Sheraz
bank delaying the card cancellation and charging me with renewal fees
I have been trying to get rid of this Dubai First credit card which was kind of imposed on me in the first place. I was told there is no renewal or registration fee.
I was charged with renewal fee in Jan 2016, i was told to keep using the card for six month to waive off the fee. I did that..
Then again last October i called the customer support to cancel my card and they did not act on time. Again in Jan 2017 i was charged with renewal fee for a card that i never use at all. Now i am calling on daily basis but there is no follow up, the fine keeps building and i have feeling i will be asked to use the card for more months to get rid of fine.
This bank has absolutely cheap tactics to build their customer base and once you are in its almost impossible to get out.
Worse customer services, no attention to customer right and outright fraudulent.
Shame on you Dubai First.
bank is trying to forcefully make me use the credit card and misleading me
Dear Dubai First bank,
Complain on bank trying to forcefully make me use the credit card and misleading me
I signed off for a free credit card in November 2014 and I was informed that this card is a life time free card. Later in April 2015 I received a call from the bank to activate the card, I requested it to be cancelled as I didn’t want the credit card. The person who called me for the activation informed me that there is no way I can cancel the card without activating it for 6months. So I agreed and asked her to activate the card with the condition that it will be cancelled in 6months. In February 2016 I received a sms saying that my card has a due amount to be paid and the sms requested me to do a payment to the bank, I called the customer car number and got to know that I have been charged an annual fee in Feb 2016. I informed them that the card is no more with me and I have never used it in my life. Later in Feb 2016 they agreed to reverse the charges and mark the card as lost. At this time I have firmly requested them to cancel the card as I did not want it. It was solved at that point and I didn’t receive any SMS on payment due.
Now in February 2017 I got a fresh SMS saying that there is an amount due in the card, when I called the customer care I was informed that the card was never cancelled and this is the annual fee for 2017. First of all I never used the card and the only reason I activated it in April 2015 is because the bank customer care person said I need to activate it for it to get cancelled. Secondly in Feb 2016 the bank agreed to cancel the card and waived off all charges, I have reported the card as lost in Feb 2016 and didn’t accept a replacement for that as I didn’t want the card. Why the bank is pushing/forcing me to use its card when I’m clearly mentioning/requesting that I do not want this product? I strongly believe that this is against consumer rights.
I would request the bank to cancel my card as soon as possible and do an inquire on
*the person who misled me that this card is a life time free card
*the person who misled me that I need to activate the card to cancel it and agreed to cancel it in 6months but failed to do so.
*the person whom I contacted in Feb 2016 to request for the wrong annual fee to be reversed and to close the credit card.
Please check your record on whether I have ever used the card
Regards,
Jude Sooriyakumar

Same thing is happening with me. First they dont tell you about annual renewal fees and then make you keep the card active for longer periods

Got a call
customer service agent
Please note my experience talking to your customer service agent (Abdul Rahman) was extremely frustrating and racial. Mr. Abdul Rahman made a racial comment to me as a customer that "Keep your Indian talks in India". This was such a shocking comment to hear from an agent, is this what you train your agents? such pathetic service from Dubai First.
To track back my case, 3 weeks ago I had requested to cancel my credit card due to the annual membership charge, initially when given to me was told it would free for life. When realizing this has a membership charge I decided to cancel this, I have a lot of banks offering me credit cards with non-annual membership such as Citibank and NBD bank.
So I decided to cancel my card with Dubai First, when calling the agent Miss Your wish on 22nd January mentioned I don't have to cancel this card, instead they would replace our card with a "Dubai Moments Card" which is free for life. So I agreed and waited for the replacement for more than a week but got no call. So I made a call on the 31st of January to an agent and followed up, and I was told its sent for approval that was the reason it was taking time. This was not of my concern and I mentioned to the agent that I don't have to have this card when I am offered by other banks and I don't have to wait.
Then the agent said they would get someone to call me in 3 days and give me the status of the card. I then waited till 4th Feb, since no one updated or called me, I made another follow-up call when telling my situation the agent mentioned I was going to get a call on Sunday regarding the update. This was very frustrating for me, I still agreed to wait for the call.
Today 6th of Feb, I made another follow-up call to your agent Abdul Rahman, who had a very unpleasant manner of talking and a very degrading tone, this is high evidence of racial tone with Asian customers from him. As I was frustrated with the amount of time I have been waiting for this card, I mentioned to him the whole story all over again, and during my conversation instead of listening to me and understanding my situation he raised his tone and gave a racial comment "Keep your Indian talks in India". This was such a shocking comment to hear from an agent, is this what you train your agents? such pathetic service from Dubai First.
If this is not addressed to him and escalated, I will be mentioning this on twitter on my pathetic experience with your customer service agent, who also gave a racial comment since I'm an Asian. Please note I will be mentioning this to all my friends and colleagues.
I am highly disappointed with your service and how your agents handled this situation in a very unprofessional manner.
Racial comments should not be accepted or encouraged in your establishment or any.

fraudulent credit card & unethical and unprofessional retention executive
I am having issue cancelling my dubai first moments ‘free for life’ credit card which was issued to me by your cse mr. Aniket bendre.
There is no outstanding on the card and I don’t want to continue this card further especially after the pathetic and unethical manner your cancellation team member ‘ms sneha kisnani’ behaved on phone (She refused to mention her last name but your call center was helpful enough to provide me this information). If your phones are recorded please check the phone conversations on january 9th (11:54 am from landline number: [protected] & on 15th january 201, 11:52 am). I requested to speak to her manager or person incharge and as per her she is the department manager and no other person will be able to help me on this case. This even after clearly mentioning that I do not want to speak with ms. Sneha at the start of the second call.
For cancellation of this card, she is asking me to deposit aed 400 as charges (She was not clear on what type of charges are these, as per her this was administration charges on the card) or wait for 3 months to cancel the card. This was not part of the agreement or was not told to me at the time of card purchase. I even checked with mr. Aniket and customer service executives and they confirmed that what ms. Sneha was mentioning is not correct and I can go ahead and cancel the card anytime without any payment.
service
I have been ignored for 2 weeks not by one or two people but by Suraj, Nirmala, Starline and Saher I have sent numerous emails and left many messages to all after I was promised by Nirmala that if I had any issues I could contact her but that was a lie.
I have had the worst customer service experience of my life with this I am still waiting after calling at least 3 time daily to there direct lines but no one gets back to me . Let's see how long it will take .
Michael .
