EarnIn I have used Earnin for over a year and they have help me out a financial pinch

I have used Earnin for over a year and they have help me out a financial pinch. However, Earnin debited my account 3 days early BEFORE my pay date causing overdraft fees. When I contacted them 4 days earlier on 11/11 because I saw the pending transactions for 11/12 and my pay date was 11/15 I told them that they were going to overdraft my account. They said that they needed to see my check deposit first because it was still a pending deposit then they would refund the money. On 11/12 they debited my account and my account was over drafted. I contacted them on 11/12 and they still would not do anything until by pay was deposited. My pay deposited on 12/14 on Sunday. I again went and contacted them through online chat and was told that it was my banks fault that it was a holiday and I should have been paid on 11/12. I asked them to fix the ACTUAL PAYDATE, but they are stubborn and will only fix to debit the day before and not the actual date. In addition, they still would not own up to the fact that they debited the account 3 days early but blame it on the bank and a holiday. 11/11 may have been a holiday, but 11/12 was the day they debited the money from my account and still 3 days prior to my payday of 11/15 which was a Monday. And just because your account shows your pay as pending in your account 2 - 3 early with an end date of your actual pay date does not mean your pay will be deposited early or that Earnin has the right to debit the account 2-3 days early! Beware!

I had set up to have my money pull out on the 15th and 30th, I was never asked to set up follow up questions suck as " before or after on weekends or holidays" apparently they set those themselves and with a payday falling on the 30th so I dont get paid until the 31st they pulled all the money on the 28th, sending my account negative for 3 days rather that just the one day the 30th-31st would have been. when contacted about this and asking that they just cancel that and pull it out again on the 30th, I was basically told to bad, we have it set as this so your fault or not we wont help even though I still would have had them pull the money on the day I was guided to believe was correct. The main frustration is that nobody lost if they would have just said oh okay and pulled it on the 30th instead im stuck with nothing and they have their 300.00 2 days earlier than they would have.

Well don't expect the same amount each time. They change the limits available to you when you were betting on getting the same amount as before. Really puts you in a bind.

I want to begin by saying dealing with customer service especially money apps can be quite a hassle but I've had to contact Earnin support many times and everytime I am impressed! They are kind and efficient and I'm proud I say I have never had an issue with the team or the app. The customer service agents really do care and when they work on your problem they're remarkably efficient, knowledgeable, and mindful of everyone's unique situations. This is my #1 suggested money app and I'll always support and give a good word for this team! Thank you so much guys and keep up the hard work☝

EarnIn If I could give them zero stars I would!

If I could give them zero stars I would! I got an alert today that money was deposited into my bank account, most would be happy to have random money deposited. Naturally I checked and I saw "earnactivehour payment" which I had no clue what that was so I googled it and found this app. I then contacted them to tell them they deposited money into my bank and I never heard of them before. That I had to google the bank transaction to figure it out. So I tried to find a phone number, and only got emails and social media. I finally got a reply on Facebook, which I had to provide a screenshot of my bank account showing the transaction. And answer questions. I thought everything would be okay and they would close out the account. No. Absolutely not. The person informed me I would have to wait until 10/01 before I could have this fraud account closed after the $100 was paid back. I told the person I wanted it closed out today. Well they couldn't because my bank had to process it. Now they can close it out on 9/22 AFTER taking $103, I don't owe them for something I never authorized or signed up for. Every reply was as if I never told them I never heard of the app before and never signed up for their services. For example, the person told me to check the repayment date in the app to verify it showed as 9/22. How? When I never downloaded their app, never heard of them before, no clue they exsisted until today, and never authorized them to have my information. Poor customer service, and they don't listen to you.

The App started off good until they tool out my payment early and overdrafts my bank account. Customer service then wanted me to take a screen shot of my bank account as proof that they took it out since it wasn't scheduled to come out until the 24th. After some back and forth I showed them the proof they had asked for. The picture had shown the transaction and the overdraft from the transaction. The customer service representative then implied my account must have been negative already. Then wanted more proof. An official letter from my bank! Knowing that will take time.. They refused to help.

This is the worst app ever! They have a bunch of options if you're self employed. Then they refuse give money to self employed. They claimed I needed a bunch of stuff & I said I have ALL of that. they still said no we don't support you

I will be canceling my account with Earnin. As they like to take out the money 3-4 days before you get paid. Causing you to have a negative balance with your bank. That's not right!

I was under the assumption that the Earnin debts would be repaid once I received my check from my job. It was not and Earnin left me negative to over $500. They said they couldn't (and wouldn't) do anything about why my repayment date was earlier than the day I am scheduled to be paid. They also didn't have an answer to explain WHY it was happening. This isn't the first time it has happened to me. I'm frustrated and more than likely will never use this app again. I don't feel supported, and the run around of trying to figure out why all of this is happening is too much. Good luck if you continue to use.

EarnIn Teachers Run!

Teachers Run! Do not use! I have used Earnin for more than a year and have had to call customer support at least every other month because of some issue with my earnings. When the ENTIRE nation was brought out of the classroom to do school-from-home it was like pulling teeth to get them to update my earnings because I was not physically driving to the school. I also had the same issue last summer when I was still getting paid but did not drive to campus. Now, I have changed counties where I am teaching and had to update my school address and email because I no longer had access to the old school email. This blew their mind apparently because they have nothing in place for teachers and the fact that they get paid for a year contract. Because my old county would be paying me for July and August instead of my new county they would not add my earnings to the app. And it would not have even mattered because since we have ended the school year my old school email was no longer building earnings. I would have made the same call I did last summer to get earnings correct every time I wanted to use the service. And to top it off the latest customer service rep I talked to thought the answer was to be disrespectful to me when I was not treating them that way. I have deleted the app and WILL NOT use again. It should not be that hard for teachers who work on a yearly contract and their pay is direct deposited. It should be easier to allow someone to show you their contract, yearly pay, and monthly pay dates than to cause teachers to have to deal with these types of issues.

I have used this app for years and actually had no problems until recently. I requested 50 lightening speed last wednesday (didn't get it), i thought i did something wrong so I did it again (another 50)...still NOTHING! they told me to wait and i wouldn't be charged the "lightening fee" if it wasn't received on time... Needless to say...i NEVER got my money and come payday...THEY TOOK THE MONEY I NEVER RECEIVED! It is now a week later and i have messaged them EVERY DAY demanding managers / phone number. They have NO phone number apparently and have asked me evry day to "wait another day" A "manager" finally said they credited it back to me and NOPE, NOTHING! Then they told me to "wait another day"...i spent over an hour texting with them this morning and now they're asking me to "WAIT ANOTHER DAY". THIS IS UNREAL. DO NOT USE THIS APP! YOU WILL GET ROBBED

Right after I received my money someone tried to change my information to get into my bank account. I will pay them back but not by giving them my information again. They can email another way to pay them back. Will be canceling this account. Should have gone with my first instinct which was don't do it!

The Earnin app starred out really well, I had absolutely no issues until I decided to try their Earnin express debit card. It has been nothing but a headache! Today I had my second ever direct deposit with them. After paying for my cash outs they proceeded to take the majority of my check! I only received $50 from my direct deposit! I will be canceling earnin express immediately! I would not recommend that anyone use their Earnin express debit card! It almost feels like a scam! If you're considering using their debit card, please think l twice!

EarnIn I am only giving a 1 star because I cannot give 0

I am only giving a 1 star because I cannot give 0. I have used the Earning App for years and have not had a problem. A couple months ago the app unlinked my debit card and asked me to relink it for the lightening speed. I did so. I didn't realize that it didn't work until it was time for me to cash out and it stated that I had to wait until Monday to get my money back they took out my check. I checked the lightening speed and despite a test deposit that hit my account the same day it still had not been verified. I have unlinked my card 7 to 8 times now. I get same day test deposits each time and still do not get verified. They can no longer manually verify cards anymore so they give you the same answer. We have to wait til the app verifies it. It has been more than a month and this still hasn't been fixed. They were giving at the very least u cash out they would deposit the cash by 5 pm. And I would have to wait until Monday to continue to get my money back but it seems that they have also changed that. I want to warn other customers to go somewhere else. Since they have changed their policies they no longer care about customers that use this app who are obviously living paycheck to paycheck. If the app was not giving them their money back it would have been fixed a long time ago. But since they are able to get their money they do not care about you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY VALUE YOU AS A CUSTOMER. Also if you tip others do not. I have been tipping for years and not once has anyone paid my tips. It's seems as if it is a waste to do so. There is no benefit for you.

ABSOULTE DISRESPECT. The untrained copy and pasters you call "Support" do not know how to do as I say and SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR. If you do not know, keep your "We understand" BS. You obviously do not understand. Treated like a child and told "I dont know" with a bunch of fluff words and sorry's. Technical my ***. You cannot fix a connection issue after 3 weeks. Earnin started making money and forgot who MADE YOU!

I've requested to revoke bank authorization and to delete my acct, I was told by a rep that a specialist would reach out to me in business day via email; they never did. I reached out again demanding bank authorization to be revoked first and then to delete acct and was told the aforementioned. This company is so duplicitous, telling you someone would reach out to you to resolve your issue with no intention on doing so!

I agree with most of the reviews on this board. They added a debit card and everything has been total confusion. They tried debiting my checking account before my scheduled pay date allegedly because they "forgot" to debit it the pay period prior. Then when my paycheck is posted they still do not debit the amounts that are due and continue to try and debit my account that they overdrew with debits posted on the incorrect day. In the beginning this app was a Godsend but now I will be moving away from using them altogether. Too much confusion and no actual help through costume service.

EarnIn Infuriating to say the least!

Infuriating to say the least! First off I am an "earnin in express member" and I have been a customer for a while. Second, they have access to my paycheck which helps me get it on Wednesday instead of friday. Which means that on Wednesday when I get my check deposit into my account earnin has ALREADY TAKEN ALL THE MONEY THAT I OWE THEM OUT and For 2 weeks they have pulled my more payments out on friday day which caused my account to go horribly negative. I have talked to so many people and they only thing that they can say is once our account is positive then we can fix the issues. And when I asked them for help with the overdraft fees I was told that they could only help me with the ones directly caused by their debits, but I should reach out to my bank and see if they can reverse some of the fees! I have over 400 dollars in overdraft fees ALONE AND THEY WANT TO GIVE ME $50! I am a single parent that lives paycheck to paycheck and when my I went negative this week I begged the girl on the chat to please refund the debits because I have spent the last $5 I had on lunch and do you know what they told me...we can't do anything until you account is positive but hopefully you can find another means to get some money until then. What in the actual F! This is not customer service! I am so unhappy with this company. The way they run their customer service. The management team that can do nothing! The response time that they have with customers( took almost a full day to get any kind of response back). And as soon I can leave this company I will and i will warn EVERYONE about how crappy this whole thing is!

EarnIn I truly ALWAYS have the most convenient and successful conversations with the Earnin Community Advocates

I truly ALWAYS have the most convenient and successful conversations with the Earnin Community Advocates. I have quite literally NEVER had a poor experience with this app and I'm forever grateful for its existence. Rosario and Philip, just to name a couple community advocates from my most recent interactions, were EXTREMELY expeditious and efficient with the help they provided, when I inquired about my payback and new earnings for the current pay period. Simply by providing screenshots of the account withdraw by Earnin, present balance, and new pay period hours summary, we were able to instantly resolve the issue. I'm always so very pleased by the professionalism and rapid response by the Earnin Help Team, and quite frankly, I'm blown away by their amazingly frictionless functionality. I cannot think of another business that even compares to the customer support cast representing Earnin and their ability to consistently provide the most excellent experience while using an app on a smartphone. I'm very impressed by the performance of this app/business that I recommend anyone and everyone that qualifies, to join this app, and help out this community by tipping well and promoting a long and healthy lifespan for the Earnin app. I'm a quality assurance engineer for Boeing, building NASA's SLS Rockets in New Orleans, LA, and the professionalism displayed by Earnin's employees, specifically customer support, is uncanny to the professionalism that I'm so accustomed to seeing at my own job. I'm honestly curious if Earnin's customer support is also directed by Rocket Scientists and Aerospace Engineers! Thank you for being awesome, all the time! I look forward to continuing my working relationship with Earnin, an A++ company!

EarnIn Used for years, everything was great up until the week of 11/7

Used for years, everything was great up until the week of 11/7. First, to start up, i had to change my payday (wednesday) to thursday because i was overdrawn first time i used them since my check comes midday Wednesday. They paid back that overdraft charge and we've been fine. Fast forward to rhis week: my holidays is set up as pay day before. So anytime a holiday will fall on a Thursday (like 11/11) then I'd get overdrawn because i would still get paid midday Wednesday , too late for Earnin. So Wednesday comes and im overdrawn like $300, from Earnin alone. 200 for the cash out and $90 in fees since they decided to do it in 3 randomly priced transactions. I try to get reimbursed to no avail, which I get it because i know for a fact i wasnt the only person with that issue. So i tell customer service on Wednesday or Thursday ( 11/10 or 11/11) to change my payday to friday, i would never have an issue again. Instead he suggested to change my holidays to pay day after, i say sure. So apparently since he changed the holiday in the system to day after, Earnin decided to take the money out Friday (11/12) which i didnt know would happen considering they just took my money 2 days before. The customer service guy made zero mention of Earnin coming out again this week. If so, i would have been prepared but I got overdrawn ( another $30) for being like 7 dollars short because I didnt know. Contacting customer service today was difficult because they made it seem as though i should have known it would have immediately came back out. So in total Earnin caused $120 worth of fees and proceeded to make me feel like it's my fault and straight up refused to reimburse a single penny of it. Stay away if you dont wanna get burned in the end

EarnIn They do not allow me nearly enough characters to describe my latest nightmare with the Earnin community "advocates" which prompted me to close

They do not allow me nearly enough characters to describe my latest nightmare with the Earnin community "advocates" which prompted me to close my account. So I will just say that like any other payday loan service I would only use this if you have literally no other options and then close your acct asap. Remember whatever you cash out will come out of your next check, making your paycheck smaller and making it so you'll probably have to cash out again to cover your next round of expenses. They know people with a healthy financial safety net are not the ones using this service, their business relies on making people who live paycheck to paycheck dependent on them. They profit by taking advantage of people who are not financially or technically savvy. Avoid falling into that trap if you can. Earnin claims to run off "tips". Keep in mind this is not a real "tip" in the sense that you give this money to an employee, it goes to the company. When you cash out they auto fill a tip amount based on how much you cash out and if you don't want to tip or if you want to tip another amount you have to go out of your way to change it. If they see this review their excuse will be "tipping is optional" but it's very obvious they intentionally give you more steps to take in the hopes that it will confuse people or you will just tip because you're in a rush. I used to have no issues using the app but for about the last year or so they could almost never establish a good connection with my bank so they would make me send them screenshots of my bank activity before I could cash out and even then sometimes they would not fix the problem even if I sent them screenshots. Different reps will give you conflicting information, one person will be able to help you and the next person won't. Their reasons for not being able to help never make sense. The service has become extremely broken and shady, again I would only use this app as a last resort.

EarnIn I had been using Earnin almost since its beginning

I had been using Earnin almost since its beginning. And it was really great for helping out when I needed it, and the customer service was outstanding. Two years ago I hot a better paying job and really didn't use them, b/c I don't know. Then I was up to the max of $500. per pay period. I really didnt need to borrow $ for a while. Few months ago I updated my info, my employer changed, my bank account has been the same since 2000. And my phone since 2004. My last experience with customer service 'Jaqueline' and ? Can't remember 'J' ?. "I don't want to name the wrong person. Anyway, alI can say Is Bad Experience, Worse Customer Service! I had been on medical leave for 6 weeks and haven't received my disability yet, but have gone back to work, at the same place, for better pay. I sent in a screenshot of my current timesheet. I updated my new bank card on the website. I sent in a latest check stub with no money earned b/c I was on medical leave. They demanded a screenshot of my last two employment deposits, and I kept telling them I didnt have one because I didnt get paid. There are no automatic deposits for 4 weeks! I have had deposits but not from my employer. Which is the same employer! I am so frustrated, you would think I am asking for a mortgage! They were asking about PTO, and by then i had to quit the chat, because I felt like "Angry!" If they wanted to verify my bank. Not a problem, just ask, but I cannot send a BANK SCREENSHOT! They don't allow and Earnin should know that and stop asking! They wanted something I didn't have. People at Earnin! Have you heard of the Hippa law? Check it out! My medical issue is protected by law and for you to ask if against the law Also, you had my current time sheet, and you give these "loans" by the current time? Correct? So why are you demanding deposits that aren't there from 5/6 and before, I don't owe you anything. So why do you demand that? And, one more thing, Im an old lady and do not care for "Chat" !

EarnIn I've been using Earnin for well over 1.5 years

I've been using Earnin for well over 1.5 years. I have used my max cash out and had it paid automatically with my next paycheck several times which has been very convenient. This past week, however, I have never experienced such poor service. I used a transfer and unbeknownst to me my bank was updating their system stopping all ach and debit transfers that day, so the transfer didn't come through. When I told Earnin, they said don't worry it will post. The next day I was told the same thing in the exact same words (a script). My bank confirmed for me via chat and phone that there was no pending transfer in their system and one wouldn't be coming through. I provided this, with screenshots to Earnin. I was provided multiple conversation reference numbers, told I had to max out my cash out & wait 24 full hours to prove it wasn't there; despite having provided my bank statements and screenshots from my bank directly saying there was no transfer pending / they wouldnt hold transfers for more than 24 hrs. I've now contacted them everyday for 6 days and spoken to 5 supervisors. Each make promises which are never kept and none of the conversations from the previous day are actually saved; I have to start over everyday. I was finally referred to a "specialist" after about 12 hours and 6 days of trying and told they'd contact me today. They havent. Ive contacted support to get an update and I was just told my account was now "inactive" and they needed an updated screenshot of my bank statement to prove my pay date. I have been put in a position of providing pages of proof via bank statements and chat information from my bank. I should note they did away with phone service. It is 100% chat support now making it easier to brush people off, use a script, lie, and try to make you pay for something you didn't get as if they know your bank better than the bank themselves. This is horrendous and places people in a position to not get the money and pay for it anyways or use stoppay.

EarnIn Earnin has been good to me for about a year or so

Earnin has been good to me for about a year or so. Recently, I had an overdraft twice due to all funds not being available when Earnin tried to take them. (Times have been hard and my money isn't the same, due to a few hour cuts with Coronavirus pandemic). My bank then charged a overdraft fee twice. I tried to go back to Earnin to cash out what they had taken to get my account out of the negatives, but "your acct can't b in the negatives, to cash out". So I went to the chat room to ask for help, at least to have my ACCt out of the negatives so family could send me funds until I get my paycheck. They switched me to 3 different people, the final specialist agent I spoke with, just keep giving me excuses; saying Earnin did not Overdraft my account, because they deducted the money before it was overdrawn. Quite sure they never heard of pending holds, but I sent a screenshot to show him what I was referring to. On my screenshot, You could see after each earnin withdrawal a insufficient funds fee was assessed. He goes on to tell me "well that's strange, it's my fault or my banks fault and I need to call my bank". I wasn't asking for him to tell me who was at fault, I wanted my cash out to be approved so I could get my acct out of the negatives. My point is, if you know I have been a great customer up with no issues until recently, why not allow me to cash out to pull my account out the negatives. I never asked for extra money. I am ***. Up until now, I liked Earnin, I even send tips almost all the time.
Although they have something where they will automatically cash you out if your money is low. It's called balance shield, It will send u money with out telling you. Which will bring your payout higher, Kinda forcing an increase on you. I went from paying 400 to being given an extra 100$ w/ out knowing from the balance shield. It puts ppl in further debt with them, and you have to ask for them to remove it. Any way, I will leaving this company due to them having 0 compassion *** ppl. During this hard time, And having no empathy for struggling ppl.

EarnIn Originally I liked this company

Originally I liked this company. I gave a lot of referrals, and I have been with them a long time, ever since they were called Active Hours. Recently my bank started doing something called "early pay." My employer for years has sent advanced advice information to the banks on Wednesday, but pay date is Friday and that is the date that pay is released on. With my bank's new early pay, the bank will front money at THEIR discretion UP TO 2 days in advance automatically. It is NOT a guarantee. I have had deposits happen very late on Wednesdays to very very late on Thursdays. And it is NEVER EVER in the morning, which is when Earning withdrawls occur. Well unfortunately, this new thing has caused a problem with Earnin. Despite showing them hard copies of all my check dates, showing them the pay date calendar from HR, showing them my withdrawl dates have always been Fridays, ect. They notify me in the middle of a pay period AFTER I've already taken an advance that they decided to change my withdrawl date. Again, there is no garuntee I get pay in advance, and even if it does deposit on a Wednesday, it will not be in there by the time Earnin posts its transaction. This is a major problem for me. All the hard evidence in the world was not enough, so I will be leaving Earnin. I also spoke with Xenia A. to explain the situation. Initially she said that I could contact them if there was a problem, I explained my problem, and asked for a one time adjustment to the pay date cover the next withdrawl so my account doesn't bounce, since they gave me no advanced notice prior to agreeing to the terms of taking out for this pay period. Not sure if they count as a creditor, but pretty sure that's illegal. She then said they couldn't do that. I realize her hands are probably tied by her supervisor, but it was a one time ask considering they violated the agreement I already made and have to make each time I take out to pay back on the already established pay date. They should not be able to change this randomly mid period before the next withdrawl after there is funds already out.

EarnIn I am a non problematic person

I am a non problematic person. But Earning has made me very upset. I have never reported here before, but I realized it is worthwhile so nobody else runs into this issue. I tried to contact numerous representatives from the app and they are NOT helpful at all. This is what happened: I left my job, and my earnin was tied to my job. I was unsure if I was going to receive a paycheck towards the next pay period or not. That app however, said I was. I wasn't sure and that is why I contacted a representative (actually 2!) and the both told me that I have the funds and should go ahead and cash out. The whole point of me messaging the team was to make sure I had the funds from my upcoming paycheck to cash out. IF I HAD NKOWN I did NOT have the funds, I would NOT have cashed it out. And I made them very well aware of this. I went ahead and cashed out because they said I had the funds. Which obviously was not true,... I look in my bank account a week or so later, and it says my balance is = (YES NEGATIVE) -$360. which is absurd. The reason for this is because I ACTUALLY did not have a paycheck coming, and the app doesn't actually track your paycheck. What it tracks is a guess of what you would have made. DO NOT GO by the app. Or you may run into this issue too. Anyway, they deducted the funds without my permission, because I premised them to take them out IF I have a paycheck coming and it will deduct form my paycheck. I asked to speak with a manager and explained the scenario and they basically put it on me. They said they could not do anything regarding the situation. And what is even more ridiculous is the people from the app customer service were basically making it seem like I was the issue. I had to go through my bank to get everything resolved. AND TO THIS DAY, they will not remove my bank account form their app, so I had to change my password. I asked the team to remove it and they told me they will not remove it because they need to first debit the funds. And they are not going to be able to because my bank is going to continue to block it...and I am no longer signed in within the app. DO NOT USE THIS APP, SAVE YOURSELF the HEADACHE. I would give It 0 stars if I could.

EarnIn I wish I could give them Negative 0

I wish I could give them Negative 0. They took the time to tell me that they made a mistake and they withdrew money from multiple days in one time and they took their reasoning for this was because they had in their system a different payday than what I originally specified. After speaking to someone I then made the correction and they took the money out and said they would correct the issue however they never corrected it. Once they continue to tell me all kinds of stories I then kept cute and current overdraft fees that they kept saying we can handle just give it 1 more day give it 1 more day.. Once I gave it the time I at officially incurred over $600 in overdraft fees which caused me to call my bank and see if I can find a way to correct it on that end because they just kept putting me off and allowing Me to get further and further in the hole. Once I contacted my bank and determined that there was gonna have to be a way for me to cancel this because the final communication in chat with Earnin told me that I had it's me that I had to make my account current in order for them to cover any overdraft fees. I had over $600 overdraft fees that I then had to pay out of my pocket which caused me to lose money a good $300 of my own personal money that was in my bank account prior to them ruining my account and the issue continued to be problem. Once I finish this matter I then move forward and then try to get express using the express portal ruined my day. At. I took the time to tell them the same day that I approved express that I wanted to cancel it and they assured me that they would move the steps to cancel it. They did not now they took money out of one bank account and deposited into another bank account which is gonna cause overdraft fees. Then when I went to chat with them to tell them this is an issue and that I was missing money from a paycheck they intercepted which they then blammed my payroll. I was tol I have to stop all deposits on my bank account before they cancel express. I told them i need this handled because i have bills to pay and they said they have to investigae. Meanwhile they lost part of my paycheck and intercepted it from another account. I want to sue this company so badly. This can't be legal.

EarnIn The main issue I have with the is company is how chat advocates tell you different and conflicting information each time you get on support

The main issue I have with the is company is how chat advocates tell you different and conflicting information each time you get on support. I have used Earnin for years and had no issues, until about 6-7 months ago. The bank that receives my direct deposit was constantly getting disconnected from the app and wouldn't connect through Plaid. After months of chatting with the support team about the issue, they told me the best resolution was to change the bank my direct deposit goes to for a better connection on the app. So I finally cave and do it. Then I reach out to support again to make sure my new bank is all set up, and notice that the date for debits has moved to a date that is not my pay date. I let support know this, and they tell me to wait until I receive my first pay stub to confirm the new bank and the date of the Earnin debits will be moved to my pay day. On the day of my first direct deposit to my new bank, I jump on chat to fix the Earnin debit date. Then I'm told that it's too late, the debits have already been posted, to my old bank and the one that does not receive my direct deposit any longer, and that it's my fault for not notifying them of the new bank at least 48 hours in advance. I tell them that I tried but was told to wait, and support continued to tell me it was my fault and they couldn't do anything. I'm in chat for hours at this point, and extremely frustrated that different advocates are telling me different things. I finally ask to be compensated for this issue, and have the debits credited back to my account. A manager tells me "no problem, we can do that as soon as the debits are posted." The debits get posted the following week to my old bank account, and I reach out to Earning with screenshots and the chat reference number, explaining my situation. After hours, they tell me that I can get the debits credited back to my account, but then they are going to take the money back out again on my next pay date. What? I asked for compensation due to the communication error, not a credit only to be debited again. I explained this and they informed me that I was wrong and the person I had spoken to told me I would get that amounted debited again. I also had a a manger abruptly end the chat when I asked to speak to someone else. All of these people are dishonest and will give you the run around. I wasted HOURS on chat to be told time and time again that I was wrong and no one could help me. Even after providing chat reference numbers and screenshots. Every chat advocate gives conflicting information, and they simply don't care about you. I deserve to be credited that money that was mistakenly debited out of my old account. Reading other reviews on here, I see that they are probably going to respond and once again not take responsibility for giving customers incorrect information. I even suggested to a chat advocate that they clarify certain things about changing banks, pay stubs, etc and was told "we don't need to clarify, it's in our terms and conditions." So just know that these people are only out for your money and will not help you whatsoever. Word of advice, if you use this app NEVER CHANGE YOUR BANK. even if support tells you to. I wasted hours in this app trying to try my issues resolved, and they did nothing to help but tell me I was in the wrong.

EarnIn Signed up for Earnin & have had a terrible experience the entire week I've dealt with them

Signed up for Earnin & have had a terrible experience the entire week I've dealt with them. Immediately switched to Dave and couldn't be happier. Earnin not only dismisses your issues but they place blame on everyone else except them (it's always your fault, your banks fault, or their 3rd party payment; PlaidLink) but it's never Earnin's fault or responsibility. The first two reps lied & said my banking account wasn't supported because it's a savings account, I provided proof that it was a checking. They quickly retracted & then blamed it on Plaidlink. They also couldn't find my account, and we're adamant that I perhaps had used a different email and phone number. Again, I provided proof and screenshots that I provided them the correct account information. They then told me my Bank wasn't supported by PlaidLink, which wasn't the case. It is indeed supported, and once again I provided proof. They also tried to tell me my account wasn't supported when I had the ability to withdraw cash after my account was verified. Which I also got notice my account wasn't verified despite getting an email AND the app saying it was. Luckily the 3rd rep took the time to dive into the issue & through hard searching FINALLY found my account, he also figured out my bank account number and routing number were interchanged & needed to be corrected. He transferred me to Support to have this corrected. Where I was once again told my bank account wasn't supported (though it is). Then I was told they apparently can't make this correction on their end and wanted me to make the correction; and to enter my information manually...which would be no issue except their platform doesn't allow me to make that correction nor does it allow me to enter my bank information manually, you have to log in with your banking credentials. I once again sent proof that their platform wouldn't allow me to make corrections via logging in with my credentials (because once again my account IS supported) & that I continued to get an error message. If your bank isn't supported you aren't even given the option to log into your bank to connect it with Plaidlink. Example, if your bank isn't supported you'll get a message saying "Unfortunately PayPal isn't a supported bank but check back at a later time as we're always adding new banks" but if your bank IS supported you can log in via your banking username and password. Instead of taking responsibility for the faults of their platform, they then tried to tell me PlaidLink and my bank had connectivity issues and that it's a KNOWN issue with PlaidLink and my bank, and anyone who banks with my bank is also experiencing the same connectivity issues with PlaidLink. Which is false. Dave uses the same 3rd party, PlaidLink, and when connecting my bank (which is fully supported by PlaidLink, despite Earnin's claims), I have had not ONE "connectivity" issue between the two. If there's a KNOWN issue with Plaidlink and my bank, and all customers who use my same bank and Plaidlink are experiencing the same, how is there NO issues when I use Dave platform? The issue lies with Earnin's platform, which they refuse to acknowledge or resolve. They also have "no idea" how long it'll take to resolve said "connectivity issue". So instead of submitting a ticket or doing anything to fix their platform, their only suggestion to my issue was for ME to open a NEW bank account with a whole new bank, and change my direct deposit. I repeatedly informed them that this was NOT an option and that PlaidLink VS my bank have no connectivity issues. The issue lies with their platform and the never-ending loop and error messages within their app that I go through when I try to update my bank information to correct it. On top of no resolution, no timeframe to resolve the issue, and their lack of motivation to help, blame on everyone but themselves, and how they throw in automated responses of how your bank isn't supported, that your account is a savings and not a checking, or how you're giving incorrect phone or email addresses to pull up the account (despite proof to counter all their false claims), their customer service is TERRIBLE. There's also no "connectivity issues" when it comes to them getting their withdrawal back but those "connectivity issues" are very apparent when it comes to using their platform or requesting withdrawals. Customer service and satisfaction is not a priority to them. And to think I tipped them (the maximum) of $12. They shouldn't have been tipped anything. My tip for them... resolve your customers issues, take ownership & initiative, actually try to look into the issue instead of dismissing them (it took being dismissed by 2 reps before finally getting connected to Rio M who FINALLY took the time to actually look into my issue and diagnose what the problem was) and... put your customers FIRST.

EarnIn My complaint is similar to one posted by another posted 9/22/22

My complaint is similar to one posted by another posted 9/22/22. For MONTHS, maybe even over a year, I have gone back & forth with Earnin reps via chat regarding keeping my Pay Day info set as "Paid every two weeks on Friday" as my pay stubbs read in the top right corner. Because my bank has been depositing my paycheck earlier on that Wednesday of my pay week, the Earnin app automatically updates to whatever date it shows the paycheck was deposited in the bank. In the past, Earnin has debited my account on a Wednesday before my paycheck was deposited in my account & overdrew my account. Every single pay period for quite some time I have had to argue with a Earnin rep via chat about this because the app wants bank screenshots sent every pay period & I have to re-explain over & over how I want my pay date to stay every other Friday. Some reps have corrected it for me, others refuse to fix it and say they can't when it's a lie when other reps have fixed it before. I had stopped using Earning for a while because of these issues. I recently started using them again. This is my 2nd pay period using them again & I gave up, letting them keep my pay date as every other Wednesday & let the account right itself when my check hits if the debits are posted & it overdrafts. Today, there's a new issue. I noticed last pay period my Pay Period Max went down twice these last 2 pay periods. I chatted a rep named *** asked why it keeps going down. Rep said I had a failed debit. I told them I didn't see a failed debit on my Earnin account or bank account & provided screenshots. Rep explained the debits were sent to my bank to be processed so it was my bank who posted the debits before the paycheck was deposited. Before my paycheck was deposited I had *** in that bank account. When bank posted debits before my paycheck my pay period max decreased. How is that my fault when the bank posts the debits? I want my max increased back to *** and my pay date set as every other Friday.

Earnin has lied about saying that they will not pull money until the deposit has been posted at work. I Have constantly told them that my direct deposits on the 15th and 30th of each month but once again they set it so that it pulls every other Wednesday which is not when I always get paid. When I spoke with a special they said it was pulled because it was on a holiday weekend. That makes bo sense since I would have been paid om the 30th of November which isnt a Holiday at all. Now I'm negative 300 in the bank and I have reported this as fraud because I did not authorize earnin to pull from my account on those particular day. But they went ahead and pulled the money out anyways on the 25th.

The service had become increasingly difficult to use. I had a check for a substantial amount. After deducting what I owed them, they deposited the remainder into a "secured account." However, those funds are mostly inaccessible to me. I am also unable to "cash out" because the system indicates that I do not have enough hours. Despite my hours remaining consistent, a representative through chat mentioned that my hours are being suppressed due to an outstanding balance from using their advance credit option.

This company constantly debits from my account on days when I have no money in this bank account. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. My account is in the negative after this company debited on Thursday, then again on another day. I didn't authorize these payments to come out on these dates and have several times gone back and forth over them debiting from my account on the wrong days. Along with this, I've requested on multiple occasions to revoke my ACH authorization through chat as the Earnin website says to do, and each time I am sent on a runaround and it never gets done. I wanted to manually pay for my payments because I am tired of my account going into the negative. The last time I spoke to someone, I was told they couldn't revoke my authorization. This is a right that I should have when it comes to access to my bank. This is a predatory company that does not care about its customers. I want a refund and I no longer wish for them to have access to my account.

Earnin has two of my paychecks that have not been received as expected. They are a company that provides early access to paychecks, and I was supposed to receive these funds on the designated payday. However, as of the current date, the paychecks are still not in my possession. I have provided the necessary tracing numbers, and the financial institution has confirmed that the transactions were successfully processed to Earnin's bank account. The app displays that the funds were deposited into a secure account associated with an Earnin Card, which I do not possess, indicating that the money is there but inaccessible to me. This situation has left me without my paychecks for over a week. My attempts to resolve the issue have been limited to chat and occasional email communications with Earnin. The chat support has informed me that they are unable to assist and that customer support is exclusively conducted via email, with no option for phone support. It was not until a significant delay that I received an email from customer service, informing me that the matter has been escalated to their Engineers without providing a specific timeline for the resolution. I urgently need this issue resolved promptly and require a reasonable assurance from Earnin that they are actively working to resolve this today. I have included copies of the screenshots that I have shared with Earnin as evidence that they have control over the funds.

EarnIn I have used Earnin for over a year and, in that time, there have been three giant debacles from them drafting my account earlier than I get paid

I have used Earnin for over a year and, in that time, there have been three giant debacles from them drafting my account earlier than I get paid. Their actions, and then their responses, have been infuriating each time. I get paid on the 8th & 23rd of each month, except when my payday falls on a Sunday, then I get paid on the 9th & 24th. They have been warned before every single Sunday paydate. On every Sunday paydate, they draft my account on a Friday. I started screenshotting their promises of drafting me on the 9th and 24th just to be able to prove to them they'd been warned. They eventually say it was a mistake (that the bank account bots detect your most regular paydates and automatically switch back to those dates) and that they will refund my fees when my account is positive again. They caused 2 NSF check charges and 1 "overdraft paid" fee on my account today, creating a -$104 balance in an account that had $270 in it for me to survive the weekend. I now have to wait until Monday to get my paycheck, wait until I have a positive balance to hopefully get my fees refunded (which may or may not happen), and I have no resources this weekend to eat or do anything. If I had not informed Earnin' of my Monday paydate repeatedly, I would understand. But I inform them, they make temporary changes after giving you the run around while wasting hours of your time queueing and arguing, and they don't care if they "accidentally" bankrupt your accounts. What gets me worst is their constantly flawed logic and lies. No, my account is not negative because the bank has processed your overdraft withdrawals. No, it will not become magically positive in 2-3 days because the negative withdrawals will be reversed. My account became negative because I accrued two fees as a penalty and those are not going to be reversed. The "paid overdraft" and associated fee were not from Earnin but from Disney+ for a subscription I could have paid if Earnin had not stolen my money before payday

This app worked great for over a year and a half, then suddenly after each transaction I'm asked to verify my pay, upload my paycheck, upload recent transactions in my checking account, etc. I've chatted into their support 8 times in 2 months and each representative said they fixed it but it would ask me again literally the next day or whenever I checked again to use the service. Sometimes when it was "fixed" I would then be debited a day earlier than what it should have been (and was for a year and a half, no change in job or pay period), so I'd chat in to fix that but then I'd start the whole process over again where I need to verify my pay. Their system doesn't seem to understand that some credit unions deposit paychecks into accounts a day early, and that's what seems to be causing the problem now. However, conveniently enough, they can take my money out of my account no problem even though I can't take my money from them without a stroll into their customer service ***. I highly recommend using a different service if you're using a credit union for banking to avoid this issue, because they don't seem to know how to figure it out.

I contacted EarnIn customer support as this morning I awoke to my bank account overdrafted by over $600. EarnIn had taken out the money I had paid in over the course of the month- two days early. The customer service associate "helped" by sending me template messages and continuously invalidating my concerns- going so far as to tell me my concern "was not worth escalation." I sent them photos showing that my bank account was in fact being debited by them and was told that they know my bank "sometimes" pays me a couple of days early, so that's why they took the payment two days early. Today, my bank did not do that as it was a holiday, so I'm literally unable to spend any money on gas or even food for my family. This is a serious concern- one that shouldn't have been so easily dismissed. I would like a proper apology from the company, at the *veryleast.

EarnIn I received 4 cash out payments of $100 each on 02/26/2022,02/27,02/28 and 03-01

I received 4 cash out payments of $100 each on 02/26/2022,02/27,02/28 and 03-01. The agreement is to take the money from my bank account on my next payday, scheduled on 03-11-22. However, they took one of the cashouts back on 02/28 for $106 since it comes with a $6 fee. I reached out to them on 2/28 and they said it was a glitch on their end and they fixed it on 03/02/22 by crediting me the $100 and then crediting the $6 a few days later. Now I'm seeing that they are expecting to charge me $530 tomorrow, my payday. Instead of being charged $424, due to a $6 fee with each payout-they are charging me for 5 payouts with $6 fee for each of them. After all the screenshots of my bank account and off the conversation with the rep on 02/28 where she admitted to taking the $106 way before it was due, no one admitted to the fact. I chatted with a few reps since they kept leaving the chat while I was retrieving the necessary screenshots. After the last rep investigated and clearly saw that I was right in saying that I only truly received 4 payouts, she then asked for a pdf to be sent to them with my bank activity. I had already sent her a screenshot of all of the activity beginning on 02/25 since they claimed that I received the 1st payout on 02/25 which was not true. I had blacked out the amounts of my bank account and showed the dates and name of business/amount I spent. Once everything was sent, she asked for the pdf knowing that I did not wish to share what amounts I had in my bank account, which Is my personal business. I told her that I had already provided everything so had asked plus additional information showing that what I said was correct. She proceeded to shut me down and said that she couldn't help me until they received the pdf with all of my bank transactions from 02/25 to 03/10. She refused to admit that they took out the $106 before it was due and then putting it back into my account a few days later. I told her that I'd report them if it wasn't resolved.

On November 10, 2022, the Earnin app withdrew funds from my account on the premise that it was a holiday and most banks would be closed, suggesting that I should have received my pay early. I have repeatedly explained and complained that my bank processes early pay. I have furnished my work pay stubs and demonstrated the early pay feature of my bank. This issue recurs every Friday. On this occasion, it resulted in a $36.00 overdraft fee. Consequently, I have decided to uninstall this app, as I have not encountered such problems with Dave. Despite explaining and presenting all my necessary documents to preempt issues like the one I'm currently facing, the staff members consistently deflect responsibility onto others without offering genuine assistance.

I contacted customer service yesterday regarding alterations to my maximum transaction limit. Previously, it was at a certain level and it decreased significantly without any explanation. Despite reaching out to customer service for assistance, I am met with repetitive, seemingly automated responses. I work diligently for my earnings and believe I am entitled to unfettered access to them. The information provided to me is consistently that the issue has been escalated and is under management, yet the replies I receive are disappointingly vague. I am expressing my dissatisfaction and insist on a resolution.

On 11/08 the Earnin app charged my account the amount of *** I am an Earnin Express member and they already take money owed to them directly out of my check before disbursing, so this debit was not valid or authorized. It caused my account to go into a negative balance and as a result, I incurred an overdraft fee. I contacted customer support immediately. Notably any customer service phone number listed for them is no longer in service. In live chat, it was determined that this was a result of a known technical issue that their team was already aware of. The charge was said by them to not be valid. I offered them proof of the charge and the overdraft it caused. I will include that here, as well. I was told at that time that it would be escalated to a team of specialists, who would issue the refund as well as reimburse the overdraft fee that they caused. I was assured that I'd be hearing from them via email within 24 hours. The next day came and I heard nothing from them. I contacted support again and the agent confirmed my ticket with the specialist team. I requested notes be added to that ticket that this caused an overdraft and that it should be a priority. As of today, I have still not received reimbursement. I still have not heard from this team of specialists. I warned them that if this issue was not resolved immediately that I'd be forced to file a complaint. Still, they have not taken action to rectify their wrong.

EarnIn I have done business with Earnin for several months

I have done business with Earnin for several months. The entire time I did, I always had to send a "screenshot" of my direct deposit from my employer. Then I would have the ability to "Cash out". Let me mention there was never an issue with them taking money OUT of my account. NEVER. On January 9th I contacted Earnin to do a "Cash out". They informed me that there was an issue connecting my bank, there would be two deposits for 0.01 into my account to "verify" my bank. I did so. I have also started a savings through their *** feature. My balance is currently $50. Today I asked for a cash out, to which I got the same scripted answers about my bank connection issue, then I got the run around about it taking "weeks to months" to process while they resolve the bank connection issue. I then asked for my Tip Jar money to be refunded to me to which I was told can't be refunded to me through my account and that the only way I could get a refund is through a paper check if I close my bank account all together and Earnin would require documentation of me doing so. The customer service chatter *** requested that I reroute my direct deposit to a different financial institution and they could help me. I told them I was NOT changing banks because I had been with my bank for twenty years. I asked to speak to a supervisor three times and my chat was disconnected. I asked for a copy of the chat via email and I still have not received that. I don't have a clear answer on when I will receive my Tip Jar money. I was told it would be "posted" on 1-2 banking days but how is a paper check "posted". It is printed and mailed supposedly. I challenged the "chatter" on why I kept getting scripted responses, no answer. I was told I will get a refund check in the mail yet they had to ask for my address, something that is already in my customer profile! Never spoke to a supervisor and OF COURSE no phone number or connection to anyone but who you get granted via their app. What a joke!

This app lends money based on your payroll dates. It's saying November 11th is a bank holiday and although my employer will not pay me direct deposit until November 11th, this app is refusing to change my pay date because they cannot withdraw on a holiday. I have asked them to move the date of there withdrawal to November 14th due to the fact that they cannot withdraw funds on a holiday which is November 11th because that's the date I get paid and they refuse they say I have to upload a picture to their chat of my bank statement and my payroll which I have tried to do several times but the app will not allow me to reset the permissions to attach anything I tried to use their help portal where I sent them a copy of my payroll stub and my payroll sheet showing the payroll dates and I got an email back that said to use the chat. The chat will not allow me to attach the information that they're requesting and although I have notified them, there will be no money for there withdrawal. On November 10th. They refuse to update the date without arbitrary proof although I'm only asking them to move the date one business day.

I had been using Earnin for cash advancement. I had removed an old bank account on 11/02/2022 and added a new bank account to be debited. On 11/03/2022, I spoke with a representative named B (please refer to the attached screenshot of our conversation) who confirmed that the old account was removed and any debits would come from the new account I attached. On 11/04/2022, my old bank account, the one that was removed on 11/02/2022, was debited, over drawing my account and causing me to incur fees.

I spoke with another representative on 11/06/2022 who confirmed that she saw the change in accounts and that on 11/03/2022 she saw the account was switched. (Please see attached screenshots of that conversation.) She assured me that a specialist would get back to me via email within one business day. After waiting two business days, I had not received any emails from anyone. So, I contacted them yet again on 11/08/2022 and was finally able to speak with a supervisor. He immediately refunded me for the overdraft fees I incurred from my bank because of this. He also said he would be refunding me the full amount I was charged since that money was taken from a deleted account (refer to the attached screenshot of that conversation). The supervisor informed me the refund would be processed within two business days.

Now, two business days later, I checked my account and, instead of a refund, I was charged again. So now I was charged twice! I need all of my money refunded now. No bank information should be stored with any company. If a bank account is removed, that information should not be kept on file to charge whatever they want.

On November 4, 2022, Earnin received a substantial amount as a direct deposit from my employer. On the same day, they attempted to withdraw a significant sum from my bank account. This puzzled me, as they were already holding a considerable amount of my funds, leaving my bank account nearly empty. Consequently, my bank declined the withdrawal attempt from Earnin. In response, Earnin immediately set my pay period maximum to zero. My pay period maximum has been consistent for over a year. I have been diligent in repaying everything to Earnin promptly. With my maximum now at zero, I've been unable to cash out for over a week, and to make matters worse, Earnin retained my direct deposit. I've reached out to them via chat at least 20 times regarding this issue. Each time, after spending no less than 30 minutes, I was informed that my issue had been escalated to a specialist who would get back to me via email within one business day. However, I have yet to receive a single response. This level of service is unacceptable. I need assistance to resolve this matter. I never anticipated such disreputable behavior from a company to which I have shown loyalty for years, especially considering the numerous competitors that offer similar services.

EarnIn They debited my account prior to my pay day and charged me overdraft fees, which they refuse to refund to me

They debited my account prior to my pay day and charged me overdraft fees, which they refuse to refund to me. I use Earnin from time to time to get through until my next payday if something comes up. I recently changed my bank account from PNC to Clearview FCU. I've numerously contacted Earnin to let them know that my pay days from the company I work for are *** I've showed them my paychecks and the payday calendar my company gives us. They made my paydays with them *** and refused to change it because Clearview FCU posts my check on *** I kept telling them that Clearview FCU doesn't post my check until after 5pm which is end of business day for banks and considered a *** for a bank. They told me that if they debit my account before my check hits, to let them know and show them screenshots. Well today, *** they debited my bank account and my bank charged me overdraft fees per transaction they did, like I told them numerous times before and kept asking for them to change the debit day to Friday. Well I chat with them today (because the phone # they have listed is disconnected). They refuse to refund my money and wait until tomorrow and refuse to refund the overdraft fees they caused. I've chatted with a *** a supposed supervisor, and a supposed manager. They will not refund the overdraft fees they caused and refused telling me they have no control over when my bank posts my check. This is why I kept telling them to wait until *** and change it in their systems to *** because I know when it's put in my account. So now my bank account is negative from the *** they debited (each in single transactions of *** and *** and I have been charged a *** overdraft charge per transaction, so *** in overdraft fees. I want my money back and the overdraft fees refunded. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I communicated with them numerous times via chat and have been told I had to wait. Now they won't make their error right!

EarnIn Earnin refuses to acknowledge debits made on their end or only debit after the direct deposit was posted

Earnin refuses to acknowledge debits made on their end or only debit after the direct deposit was posted. My bank is very fast when it comes to posting direct debits, which is what Earnin uses to get their money back. My pay day is on Wednesdays every week. However, the direct deposit could be posted as early as 12:00 PM eastern, or as late as 6:00 PM eastern. I have spoken to my bank, and they post the direct deposit at the same time the information is sent from my employer's payroll system. They can't change when the direct deposit is posted. With that said, I've encountered instances where Earnin tried to debit before the direct deposit posts, since the direct debits from Earnin happen around 3:00 AM according to my bank. That's what before the direct deposit posts. This has resulted in many chats with support, with the latest chats being about raising my max back to *** since my employer, bank, nor I have any control on when the direct deposit posts, thus resulting in failed debits. That's also another issue. Earnin expects me to give them screenshots of my statement showing the debits happening before the deposit. That is impossible. I have spoken to my bank about this issue and since they don't charge fees for failed debits, the information would not show on my statement. I have attempted several times to explain this to Earnin, to no avail. It only results in a circular conversation. I cannot make information available that does not exist, and neither can my bank. Earnin fails to compromise on this matter. The latest issue is the reactivation of my account. The last agent confirmed the debits posted successfully, then went back on that. I corrected the agent, however the agent still insisted the debits posted successfully, but they also didn't post successfully. I ended the chat. In addition, I explained multiple times my email address has changed, however Earnin fails to update it. The original email address is *** The corrected email address is

EarnIn Needed help with an incoming charge for amount owed, since the holiday affected my payday to come a day later

Needed help with an incoming charge for amount owed, since the holiday affected my payday to come a day later. Earning was reluctant to help at all. To begin, my work usually pays on Fridays but since my bank instilled a new policy to deposit funds earlier my bank now deposited my paycheck on Thursdays, the day after my accounting department processes the paychecks (Wednesday). I told my payday app Earnin about this a while back to avoid issues and to make sure they get their payment promptly when I get paid. Now come to veterans Day (this last Wednesday) and due to the holiday all banks are closed, so that meant that my bank did not process the paycheck and it would process it Thursday making deposit into my account on Friday after all. The next day I saw that my paycheck did not deposit and was charged for my balances owed, which i was afraid of but still anticipated. I called my bank asked to help with fees since they understood the situation and that it was a holiday, they refunded any and all overdraft fees. I noticed that although earning tried to charge the full balances they didn't charge all of the $500 owed only 3 sets of $111 were charged. So i figured i can message support to ask about options to hold the debits for one day and to make sure they are aware of my situation to not have any derogatory marks on my account. At first i waited nearly 30 mins for a response even though at first it said it should be no longer than 5 minutes. When i finally spoke to a representative even while explaining they were extremely reluctant to help and even so blamed me for not letting them know earlier. I was extremely sad because their service was so helpful before but even begging for some sort of help they didn't try to find any other solution to make help. The just kept repeating that the debit will still go through today no matter what. Even after the chat ended I clicked the option for a full transcript of the conversation and still have not yet received it. There also were not options for a survey of how they handled this.

EarnIn the Company made a mistake by sending me another advancement that I never asked for causing a overdraft fee

the Company made a mistake by sending me another advancement that I never asked for causing a overdraft fee. On December 16th I received a *** advancement from the *** app. This here is the max. I was using it for my sons Christmas. And I haven't been getting many hours at work. Well on December 24th I got paid *** and the earnin app never deducted what I owed. When I realized that. I went to use the app to pay what I owed. So it told me to screenshot my bank account. So I did then it loaned me another *** advancement that i never wanted and it got me into a hole on December 28th. From what I understood was that the company isn't even supposed to send you another advancement without paying the first on that was sent. So with *** that I really don't have there asking for. And I have it on file that I got paid on dec 24th 2020 and I got screenshot. They should have took what I owed to them the *** Instead of sending me another *** putting me down deeper. Also they charged my bank and put me in the negatives. My bank had a *** returned check fee that should have never been charged on December 28th. I have been trying to come in contact with the app and there is no customer support at all. I know I tried waiting on the "24/7" live customer support chat. It told me there would be a 5 min wait period so I sat there on my phone and end up waiting for almost 2 hours. I typed all my problems and how I should never got that second advancement and I would like my *** returned check fee reimbursed. And when finally somebody came into the chat room I was immediately disconnected. And I kept trying to get back on it and couldn't come in contact with anybody. Then I got a email saying that there sorry they couldn't get to me and that they'll be charging my account again. I really need to speak to someone about this. I also lost my job and I'm about to get my last paycheck from work. And I have no problem paying the 100$ that I owe on my last paycheck. But I feel I shouldn't have to pay another *** for when I should have never received it in the first place. Because on December 28th I screenshot where I got paid on December 24th. Because I realized it never took the money out. And then I sent a *** more. I also really need a reimbursement for that

EarnIn I incurred a fee due to a company debiting my account before my salary was deposited

I incurred a fee for insufficient funds because a company debited my account before my salary was deposited. The company has my correct pay stubs. They have refused to refund the overdraft fee caused by their failure to align with my pay schedule. My bank sometimes makes deposits available early, but not on a predictable schedule. I saw that the company set a debit for Monday, December 14, but I had no deposit pending for Tuesday. I contacted the company on 12/14 and informed them of the premature withdrawal attempt. I've previously requested they adjust their withdrawal dates to match my pay schedule. The representative wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor and cited a policy requiring 2-3 days' notice before processing a debit. They said withdrawals are based on the bank's deposit patterns, which isn't reliable since my bank has no set deposit times. Despite providing my pay stubs as they've requested, they haven't adjusted the withdrawal dates. I've attached a conversation with a representative who wouldn't give an employee ID. I've complied with their requests and asked for the date change to reflect my pay schedule. They wouldn't follow their policy of withdrawing on pay dates. This has led to negative account balances, and they've said there's nothing they can do to fix their error. My bank says this is a recurring issue with this company and that it's the company's responsibility to charge members correctly. I want my overdraft fee reimbursed and for the company to adhere to their policy regarding pay stub-based withdrawals. Attached are documents showing the relevant dates.

EarnIn They refused to refund the overdraft charge caused by incorrect pay schedule

They refused to refund the overdraft charge caused by incorrect pay schedule. I switched banks and updated my banking info with earnin. My new bank gives me early pay access but I don't get paid until my employeer submits the payment to them. I normally get paid on Thursdays, but the new bank gives me access to my funds on Tuesdays. I noticed that earnin had a debit hold to take the money on Tuesday, however, I had not yet had a pending deposit for Tuesday. I reached out to earnin on 10/10 and spoke to ***. I was alerting him that earnin is set up to give me an overdraft fee. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor and told me I had to wait until i received an overdraft in order for me to be referred to a specialist. I then recieved an overdraft fee on 10/13 for earnin. I reached out again and spoke with *** who provided ticket number #XXXXXXXX due to me having an overdraft charge. I provided multiple screenshots. She then said that she could not change my pay schedule because my deposit had not posted yet. She informed me to reach out again with a screenshot once my deposit was posted. On 10/15 *** is the one that actually followed up and made sure my pay cycle was changed and account notated via ticket #XXXXXXXX. I still had not received the reimbursement for the overdraft fee I provided screenshots for. I recieved a notice that said my pay cycle was changed to be on Wednesdays of every week so that I will avoid future overdraft fees, yet they did not reimburse me for the *** overdraft fee I warned Edumund about. I reach out today on 10/20 and had to beg to speak to a supervisor. Finally I get ***. He wants a pdf of my bank statment, when we are still in the current month so I can't provide that because October is not yet over. I did provide screenshots, but it seems like they are trying to accuse me of trying to dupe them because it was two separate screenshots. The chat keeps mysteriously freezing and will no longer allow me to get a copy of my chat transcripts and this has happened the last few times of me getting to a supervisor. Even now earnin still has my payment set up for Tuesdays after I've already received communication that it should be set up for Wednesdays. The wait time has been closer to 30 minutes by the way so the chats keep disconnecting for inactivity. All I want is my *** reimbursed from earnin.

EarnIn Debt account reflecting an incorrect amount,Contacted earing issue was not resolved and reps terminate chat when i request supervisor I have

Debt account reflecting an incorrect amount,Contacted earing issue was not resolved and reps terminate chat when i request supervisor I have been an Earning user for over a year and a half , I had not had any issues until recently when i noticed my cash ot balances for current pay period were incorrect. Normally a user can cash out and a debt is accumulated and taken from your bank account on the consumers next pay period. 03/30 earning collected a debt of 950 and refresh the cash out amount for the 04/04 pay period back to "zero" when i went to cash out the the daily max for the day i noticed that my debt has change from zero to $200 i contacted support and issue was corrected On 4/15 earning once again collected debt and refresh pay period back to zero i cashed out once again daily max of $100 on 04/16 my bank had not posted earning deb transaction and my account was placed on hold out of curosity i went to app to check my current pay period debt and the amount was once again $200 a toal of $100 dollars more than the actual amount i cashed out i resolved issues with bank and debt was paid to earning i contacted support to have current pay period debt correct and customer service agent *** proceeded to tell me account was correct and nothing could be done and disconnected chat . as i mentioned to *** debt was incorrect and that there was no way amount owed for current pay period was $200 since earning disabled cash out option due to bank not paying current debt and that i was only able to cash out once. ultimately ther was nothing earning did and my bank got drafted a total of $100 extra and as a result max out was changed from $850 to ONLY $100. on 04/30 a total debt of $200 was collected and once again the system refreshed the pay period to zero. this time i was not able to cash out but the debt for current pa period was already 100/100 which was impossible since earning didnt even give me the option to cash out, i contacted earning and concepcion assited this time agent once again ignored the fact that my pay period deb was incorrect, agent request proof of previous debt transaction which i submitted but agent said debt was for 04/15 and 04/16 which was the debt that had currently been taken out of my account the agent just gave me the run around and when i requested a supervisor agent denied me a sup and advsd if i wanted sup they will contact me and disconnected the chat. i attempted to close my account but earning app say i cannot close due to "activity" . My concern at this point is that earning is a scam and who know how long they have been overcharging debts to customers

EarnIn Refund for the $404 dollars that I was charged using there service based on wrong information given by representatives and supervisor

Refund for the $404 dollars that I was charged using there service based on wrong information given by representatives and supervisor. I was using the Earnin application on a regular basis before the virus spread came a long and I had to start working from home on March 13. I chatted in a few days before this to inform the company of this and they said to chat in everyday to get earnings added to the account. I started chatting in everyday, but starting having issues with representatives because adding hours was not the usual practice. I had one representative that completely changed my pay period and caused issues to my earnin account during this period. After we got this issue resolved I finally asked to speak to a manager named *** who had me jumping through hoops to get an official approval that I had already gone through with two representatives previously. Finally we came to a decision that I would need to continue chatting in to get my hours added to my account. I chatted in again to get my hours added, but representative transferred me to a specialist since I was having so many issues. The specialist said that they could only do so much, but earnings should not get low based on paycheck. Also informed me that I would not have to chat in everyday and earnings should be able to be added to the account with a paystub. The first paystub method hour earning went through great and they were able to get everything added with no issues. Representative told me to chat in once I get paid on April 15 and I should be able to get my hours added again. Chatted in to speak with a representative because my earnings hours had dropped from $854 to $199 and thought this was because my paystub information was not updated. *** the representative informed me that the Earnins had been updated for this account and that there was nothing she could do. I was confused because this meant that the company just got $204 out of me and I would not be able to cash this amount back out. *** and other representatives stepped on there toes multiple times one time saying that hours are added based on hours worked; but was noted on my account that I don't have a timesheet because I'm a salaried employee. Then *** and other representatives said that it's based on paystub for time period so which is correct. My main complaint is this company says they are trying to help people, but it feels like they are more taking money while reducing the Earnin amount so users are unable to cash out as much. This is a big issue for me because they are not holding up there end of the bargain. Was trying to add multiple pictures of the chats between each representative but it's only allowing me to add one picture at a time.

EarnIn I took a payday advance from this company

I took a payday advance from this company. They are to debit after we are paid. I was denied before I was paid on a date that I did not authorize. I took two 102.00 payday advances from earnin. I was set to pay it back via ach after I was paid. Earnin debited my account before my payday. This happened once in the past, I sent a screen shot of the fees be they fixed it. Per their customer policy: Why was I debited before my payday? Answer The app determines restore dates based on your pay pattern. If a pay pattern is inconsistent with the initial set-up description (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, etc.), our system may set the debits for an earlier date. Don't worry! We're here to help. If this happens, please contact support with the following information: Your name Your Earnin login email Your employer's name Confirm your pay cycled A screenshot of your bank account showing the early debit and any fees associated with the early debit The screenshot should include the last four digits of your account, dates and labels of the transactions, and your name I submitted this information to them. I spoke to a representative and a supervisor. The supervisor rudely ended the chat and cut me off. All transactions are clearly labeled. The earnin system changed my debit date without my permission. I had it set up to pay them back on fridays because my funds are not available until after 5:30. Both the representative and manger confirmed this. The bottom line is this I was charged two bank fees because of their early debit. It is clear I did not receive a paycheck, but they debited early. They refuse to honor their policies. Also their policy states: What if I receive an Overdraft fee because of the Earnin app? Answer Here are a few rare cases that could cause your bank to charge you an overdraft fee due to an Earnin debit: Earnin's test transaction posted without adequate funds available (our test transactions are a few cents). If we ever lose connection to your bank account we will try to reconnect by issuing a small test transaction to your bank account again (our test transactions are a few cents). Earnin incorrectly sets up your payroll (wrong pay periods / pay dates) causing us to debit your bank account on the wrong date. If you receive an overdraft fee from your bank due to any of the above reasons, please contact Earnin Support via chat so that you can upload a screenshot from your bank account showing the Earnin debit(s) and the related overdraft fee(s). If it is determined that the overdraft fee was caused by one of the above reasons, Earnin will reimburse the fee. Per our Terms of Service, you are responsible for maintaining a bank have balance that is sufficient to fund all payments you initiate. Additional notes Earnin does not charge overdraft fees. Overdraft fees are charged by your bank. I have attached the documents I sent them, and both representatives seemed to give me the run around and refuse to honor policies. I am livid and I need a resolution. Had their debts applied AFTER I am paid as it should there would be no fees on my account.

EarnIn My financial service provider is scheduling my payback date 5 days early!?

My financial service provider is scheduling my payback date 5 days early!? I've been a loyal member for a good while now but after today I'll be working to get my balances even and cancelling my account as soon as I can afford to. In December my place of employment was bought by another party and after the purchase they decided to change our pay date. Previously my payday was every other Monday and my direct deposit hit Monday morning around 2am and now it's every other Tuesday. I notified my financial service provider immediately and as soon as I received my pay for 1/5 I provided my pay stub as proof of the change. I thought the changes had been made but apparently because my deposit for my new payday, which is supposed to be Tuesday, hit Monday late afternoon which was about 6/8 hrs early, they decided to place my payment date the day before my scheduled payday. I would be okay with this if I could be sure my checks would continue to come early but I can't base that fact off of one check especially since it's the only check since I started here that's ever come remotely early. It also means since Monday is a bank holiday, they have put my pay back date the previous Friday, 5 days before my payday. My actual payday is supposed to be 1/19 but my scheduled payback date is 1/15. I contacted an agent about this and was informed nothing can be done unless I get my employer to write a letter stating they're paying me a day after the holiday even though my payday is Tuesday not Monday. Tuesday not being the holiday means the holiday won't affect my pay and I'll actually get my pay exactly on time. I'm honestly not even sure that the paycheck coming early wasn't a one-time thing but what I am sure of is that my employer isn't going to cut checks 5 days early for a holiday that doesn't even fall on our payday. When I contacted the financial service provider to get this fixed, I was shocked by the fact that they essentially refused to help me until after I overdrafted because my boss isn't going to write me a letter bearing a false statement about my pay. Up until today, I was a big fan of this service but the fact that their agents can't or just won't use common sense when it comes to this situation and the fact that they are aware they will be causing an overdraft by attempting to pull from my account 5 days before my scheduled payday definitely changes my views. As soon as I get caught back up after Christmas, I intend to cancel my account and delete the app because if they allow my account to overdraft because of this it means I can't trust them with my funds. It's disappointing because up until today I had great experiences but this definitely changes things. As for the agent I spoke with on chat, they were quite rude. They were pushing me to get off the chat and I asked to speak to a supervisor twice; the first time they brushed it off with 'it will be a bit let me explain why I can't help' and then when I asked the second time the agent said, 'then you can wait'. I waited for several minutes only to be mysteriously disconnected from the app. It's the first time I've ever experienced an unhelpful agent, that combined with the above situation makes me concerned that the service I've been a loyal member of for over a year is changing and not for the better.

EarnIn Company breaches contract by debiting funds before scheduled payday

The company breaches its contract with customers by debiting funds from the user's banks before the scheduled payday. After using the app for about a year, they recently debited my account on 11/11, a day before my payday on 11/12, violating our agreement. Customer service, accessible only via chat, was fraught with delays and unhelpful interactions, leading to unresolved issues. Long wait times and quick session timeouts plagued the service experience. During one attempt, after a 30-minute wait filled with automated messages, a brief app switch resulted in being disconnected for inactivity. On 11/11, I reached out regarding the premature charge. It took over an hour to get a response, and the representative, after requesting evidence, blamed my bank for the error. Despite my bank's clarification that they don't schedule payment postings, the representative insisted I contact them. The conversation with the 'supervisor' mirrored this unproductive exchange. After multiple transfers and conflicting information, I ended the chat without a resolution. This issue caused me banking problems, and I later found similar complaints from other users on the App Store, highlighting a pattern of premature charges and poor customer service.

EarnIn Overdrafts in the amount of $105, occurred due to Earnin debiting funds on incorrect pay date

Overdrafts in the amount of $105, occurred due to Earnin debiting funds on incorrect pay date. I noticed on 11/11 that Earnin had my pay date incorrect this pay cycle, it was listed as 11/13. I am paid semi monthly on the 15th and last working day of the month, and the 15th fell on Sunday. This means I would get paid that Monday, 11/16. I logged into the chat (there should be proof) and due to high volume was not able to get through till 11/12, when I was told that there was nothing they could do. They did not even extend me an one time courtesy to change the date due to the long wait times and I told them the funds would not be available as the pay date was wrong. I was told on 11/14 that I could log back into the chat and show screen shots that the overdraft occurred on 11/13 and my pay check cleared on 11/16. I asked for a transcript of that chat on 11/14 and was not sent the option to receive it. I also requested that my complaint be escalated and to be notified that that was done, and did not receive that either. On 11/14 a *** informed me that my pay date was logged in their system as 11/13 and even though the screen shots showed that my check was deposited after that, there was nothing they could do and told me to contact my bank. I was so upset I deleted the account, which I would NOT have been able to do if the bank did not cover the charges and gave me 3 $35 overdraft fees. I then decided to wait till everything was processed in my account. So on 11/17 I used Twitter, FB and went back into the Earnin app to speak with another rep. In Twitter I was told, "not sure why this happened" and then stated that they have followed my pay cycle since 1/9 and never had this issue before. Rarely do the State of MO pay days fall on a Sunday, but when it does, the State of Missouri NEVER pays that Friday before (I can prove). It is always that following Monday. It was a simple mistake where Earnin assumed my pay date would be that Friday and when they were incorrect caused $105 in overdraft fees on my account. When their policy states, "If we have the incorrect pay day, and the account accrues overdraft fees, we will reimburse those fees." No one wants to take responsibility and that is frustrating. The long holds to chat with someone is frustrating, the app timing out all the time is frustrating, and not being able to talk to someone is frustrating. I have provided ALL proof that I was NOT paid on Friday November 13th and I keep being told that I was, as one specialist stated "we would not have been able to debit the funds if your pay check was not deposited on 11/13" umm that's why I got 3 over draft charges because it was NOT deposited on 11/13. I was not even extended a one time courtesy to change the pay date on 11/12, when I finally reached someone, to prevent all this from happening due to Earnin having the incorrect pay date. They cant assume our pay dates. Their system needs to take into account when pay dates fall on Sundays or Saturdays and NOT assume the pay date. It should be a question when setting up your account. They ask about holidays after all. The Twitter rep flat out lied when she said this normally doesn't happen. I have worked for the State of Missouri for 5 years, I know when we our pay dates fall on a Sunday we don't get our checks that Friday! I wish, but that does not happen. If the 15th fell on a Saturday then I would have gotten paid that Friday. I have been back and forth with them since 11/11 and have not gotten the option to get any transcripts of chats till now. I do have the Twitter and email responses, where she basically told me they are right and I am wrong. Today I was told, " Since the app does not do transactions on the weekend" and they "did not know" I get paid the following business day if the 15th falls on a Sunday, they cant do anything. So they admit fault, but don't follow their policy even with the bank statement clearly shows other wise. Very disappointed! Especially during these hard times.
