Refusing refund for an order canceled on time
I purchased a brand new book from Knetbooks. Once I found out the edition was changed by the professor, I contacted them timely. At this point, the book was not shipped. I requested a cancelation, but the “chat” I formed me that it has shipped and that I needed to wait for delivery. Several days later, the book arrived and I tried obtaining refund and return instructions, but was never responded to.
I called a number to “ecampus” and was informed they are not responsible for the purchase, but will escalate (all this is in writing).
Filed with my credit card company after several months of trying to get this company to send me return/refund instructions and they instead provided my credit card company with false information which they have refused to provide me with.
Customer service is rude. Skye Fister Refuses to provide information or work on my case.
Claimed loss: $295.00
Desired outcome: Complete refund, in the alternative, an even exchange for a book.

Shipping procedure and book not received
I rented the 8th edition of Introduction to Hospitality and it was shipped on July 31, 2023. As per the tracking information, it should have arrived by August 8, 2023. However, I never received the book even though it was transferred from UPS to USPS and marked as delivered to the customer. Despite contacting the company, they suggested that I file a claim for the product. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so with either UPS or USPS as there was no insurance purchased. Upon reaching out to eCampus.com again, they boldly advised me to file a police report. It is extremely frustrating that the company does not cover the shipping and requires the customer to file reports.
Desired outcome: refund

Book renting
"I rented college books from this company, and I received one that was very damaged. I ended up making a slight repair myself to keep the book together so u wouldn't be charged. Suddenly, after I returned my books, I found a charge from them with no communication to me that this would happen. Originally, I thought the book I received damaged had to be the source and I was mad for that along with no mention that I would be charged. I spent days talking with customer service, who the employees were very kind and understanding. I eventually spoke with a manager, who finally sent me pictures of the damage, showing me that it was a different book the entire time. After speaking about the damage, which I couldn't find the source of, I was told that they do offer to give the damaged book back if requested. I stand by, the customer service was great, the company and its practices are horrible, though."

Administering Medications Book
I rented the Administering Medications book in August 2022 for a reasonable price, but then found out I needed it for an additional semester. I contacted them about purchasing my rental and they wanted to charge me the full new book price of $170 and would not credit the rental fee I paid towards the book. I found a new book on AbeBooks for $133.00. They are not only price gouging on the book, but treating their customers unfairly. Students don't have money to throw away. I will never purchase anything from Ecampus.com nor will I recommend them to anyone.
Pamphlets
I ordered the wrong thing and I contacted them for a refund. I received pamphlets instead of what I thought I ordered which was a book and I opened "1" pamphlet. When they received my merchandise back from me and reviewed the pamphlets and advised I wouldn't be receiving any portion of my return. I feel this isn't good business practice as I immediately contacted them when I received the wrong goods. I should at least receive a portion of my return.
Desired outcome: Would like refund
Anatomy & Physiology& Photo Atlas & Modified Mastering 7/e- Hardcover with Looseleaf package
I returned the package the same hour I received it. it arrived at them on 01/12/2022, but they did not pay me back yet after more than a month since they received it. and the customer service told me that the warehouse is not responding to them yet, and they can not give me any contact information to the warehouse. every time I call they say "wait one more week."
Desired outcome: please refund me.
Cancelation of order
So I recently tried purchasing the Sandman Omnibus Vol 2 from eCampus.com. It looked almost too perfect to be true. And out of print Sandman for MSRP price
eCampus wouldnt even confirm that they had it in stock after I ordered it. And days later they automatically cancelled my order! Saying that my card was too "inconsistent". Even though that same card has been used to buy hundreds of things off amazon and ebay
This has now caused a lot of my own money to be tied up for nearly two weeks at a time! Not only that I missed my opprotunity to purchase this through Ebay because I thought eCampus had me covered. I will never purchase anything through them again and HIGHLY recommend everyone else stay away from them as well
portales Spanish book
My freshman daughter purchased this Spanish book (in early August )as it said it included the access code. We inquired before purchase and were told if the product (on receipt) was not what it said with the access code we could return it.
With her tight book budget she made the purchase. The book arrived in fine condition but NO ACCESS CODE. It was not how it was described. We returned it. They received it but did not acknowledge till I inquired.
The experience to get credit for the returned book has been miserable and tedious AND they still haven't refunded the account !
Kacie has said twice she would refund in 3-5 days but it hasn't happened. It is now the end of October and we still haven't received my daughters refund.
DONT order from these folks! Each time I make a follow up inquiry for my daughter I have to provide all the details over and over. Even though the thread is there they will not respond until you have re-entered all your details! They want you to give up exacting their pound of flesh to annoy and waste your time.
I plan to cancel the credit card charge and dispute now through the CC company.
A very dissatisfied consumer. With customer run arounds like this they will NOT stay in business!
buyback program
On 08/30/19 I placed a buyback order, which is #7697200 at 11:34am for 3 Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association ISBN: [protected] These were bought when required by a university that has their own Barnes and Noble as a campus bookstore. There is no question that these books were real. The company lied and said the publisher wa...

I rented a text book from this company. I was late returning the book and was charged a $150 late fee. The book new only costs $127.00 retail. I have called the company on three occasions. Each time I was told by the customer service people that there was nothing they could do about it. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor I was told on each occasion that the manager was not there or had just stepped out. I was told I could leave a message for a call back but never received a call back. I am willing to pay a reasonable late fee for the book and need to speak with someone with the authority to help me. I seriously question the company's commitment to customer service if they have customer representative there with no supervision and with no managers ever available. In addition, i feel the company is nothing but a scam to over charge and take advantage of college students.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wow, this exact thing happened to me. Asked to talk to a supervisor and was told the same thing, that he is in and out of the office. I work customer service all day and know that this does not happen, a manager is always available. After arguing with the guy on the phone for awhile he finally agreed to give me back 80% of my fee. I still think that is too high but this company is clearly against it's customers and I will only be recommending and using chegg for now on.
Fraudulent charges in Kentucky after purchasing from eCampus in Kentucky
I'm not sure if it is coincidence of not, but I purchased a book from eCampus.com which is supposedly on its way. I say supposedly because I read some of the other complaints about fake UPS numbers or books arriving late or not at all. Anyhow, within 3 days of purchasing a book on eCampus.com in Kentucky, someone used my card to purchase $148.52 in fuel in Kentucky and attempted to purchase $130 at Walmart. I have physical possession of my card and it doesn't expire until 12/13 so I know that a card wasn't taken from my mailbox or anything. I believe that it was someone at eCampus that stole my card number and made a fake card. Hopefully they got them on camera at one of the places. Has this happened to anyone else?

Fraudulant & Unauthorized Charges
I rented a book because the USPS lost the one I rented from BN and they didnt have anymore. So, I went with eCampus since they had 2 day delivery. I paid an extra $15 for 2day shipping and it took me 12 days to get the book. They used the Thanksgiving holiday as an excuse and refused to refund me the shipping costs. When it was time to return it, the...

I sold two books to ecampus in August. Waited a month or so and never received the money. When I contacted them I was told it will take up to 6 weeks. Waited the six weeks recontacted them and was told that the checks were already sent. Told them they were full of it and asked them to send me copy of cancelled checks etc. Then received and email that said, sorry we will reissue your checks, it would take 30 days. Well...I contacted at the 30 day mark...was told that checks would be sent our immediately...no surprise ...still no money. This company should be shut down. I am filing a complaint with our attorney general and sent our flashed to everyone on facebook I know...telling them to pass it on. Somehow this company needs to be stopped.

Don't do it
I am soooo pissed. If you want to get your school books in a timely manner, do not order from them. I repeat, do not order from them! I did not receive my textbooks until two weeks after I ordered them, which is ridiculous considering I express mailed them. They never responded to any of my emails. Then, when my books did come two of them where the wrong books, its week three. I ordered the remaining books I needed from Barnes and Noble. They were cheaper and came within two days, with free shipping. I will never use ecampus again.
I ordered a book on 9/22/10 from ecampus. The description said the item would ship within 48 hours and be there within a week. It is for a college classes and I waited desperately and yet to this day no item has been received. Email them several times though out this month long process and all they say is, we don't know when it will be here, sorry for the inconvenience. It has been a month and I am still with out a book and have asked for a refund, and no refund has been given. Avoid this company at all costs. Horrible experience, bull ### employees who don't give a damn about you, and practically steal you money and ship you nothing on top of lying throughout the process.
Multiple charges on my acct
First of all from the start of the order is already messy. I didn't know that up to now my agony is still continuing.
First I'm trying to order one book. After I'm done ordering, I forgot to log out. not knowing still log on, I noticed that I have 2 confirmation email that I have 2 orders. Since I placed the order at night, the first thing in the morning that next day, I called and talked about the duplicated order, but the response I got is the order has been shipped. I could not imaging only for few hours, they shipped my order, So I let it go, I will just return the book and I'll be charged with the restocking fee and for shipping . Here I lost already 25.00. When I got my bill from that stupid Bill me later, I was charged for 3 books. Now the problem is that I'm trapped with 157.10 that no ones to accept the fault. Ecampus said that there can't fix it and Bill me later said they can't fix it. Ecampus can't even give me a manager to talked to, since they are helping other customer. Am I not a customer, or maybe lots of complain. they can't even give me their acctg dept. or anything, so how does these companies works screw up customers? Now I wil be ding with finance charges if I will not pay the 157.00.

These guys- friggin ###!!!!!!
Bought a book, said it was used and in good condition. It was a rather expensive History book that costs over $100 new. Paid these ### $72. Got in probably a week. It had probably 80% of the pages were lined with different colored markers. Of those pages that were marked, probably 75% of the page was highlighted. It wasnt a book that could be used- it should have been tossed or sold at a very low price for someone who knew what they were getting. They cheerfully offered a refund. You pay the postage back, they bill you for the postage they paid AND THEN they charge 15% restocking fee. So, on this $72 book, I am paying $11.04 in postage, PLUS $10.80 in restocking. What a racket. When I complained, they directed me to their terms and conditions. Satisfaction guaranteed...right!

Returned books
I returned a textbook to Ecampus in October and I still am waiting for my refund. I have e-mailed them in November, December, and March and again today. I will make every effort to never go to their website again!

I ordered one book and received a different book. It's obvious from the different covers and the isbn does not match. They claim it is the international version but the problems and cases are different. I need my correct version to complete school assignments. This is ###ic. I have contacted the direct seller twice and ecampus twice. The direct seller is insisting they didn't send the wrong book and ecampus isn't taking responsibility for their involvement. If they are going to work with these sellers they have to take responsibility for their fraud. It has taken a week and I still can't get a refund. In the meantime, I have had to repurchase the book elsewhere. I will never purchase from e-campus again. You have no idea what they will be sending you. They rob you of your money.
What this company is doing is illegal and I know that the Federal Trade Commission has previously fined numerous other dot com's for this practice. As such, I would suggest everyone that has been purposely lied to by this company (or any other) to go to www.ftc.gov and take just a couple minutes to file an online complaint. The link is right on their homepage and is simple to do. If enough of us take the time to do this, we can stop Ecampus from doing to others what they have done to us!
I purchased two books from them. One order I received a totally different book, different ISBN number from what I purchased. I called them and they said that it was another company that they use and that there was nothing they could do. They advertised one book and sent customers another...thats called "bait and switch" its illegal! The second book, turned out to be an "ebook". No where in the purchasing process did it make this known. This company cheats people using third party sellers.
Don't ever buy ecampus books, ther used books (they CONSIDERED THEM AS good condition, A BIG LIE) FULL OF HIGHTLIGHTS, WRITTING ON THEM, AND PAGES RIPPED. I BOUGHT A BOOK, I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED AT IT. I EMAIL THEM SO MANY TIMES BUT I HAVE NOT GET ANY REPLY BACK. I TRIED TO COMMENT THEM ON THEIR WEB, BUT I AM HAVEN'T SEE ANY PLACES TO COMMENT. I SAW GOOD COMMENTS ABOUY THEM, (BUT THERE IS NO PLACE FOR ME TO COMMENT), THUS I AM NOT SURE I WROTE THEM, NOT VERY CREDIBILITY.
Fraud and scam
I sold a book to ecampus for 37.00 dollars. It said allow 4-6 weeks for a check to be sent. My book was received 1/20/2009 and today's date is 3/3/2009. I looked on their website and my buyback report says that the book has been received and is in good condition. Yet, no check has been printed. Your telling me that they have had my book since 1/20/2009 and...

Send three buyback orders in early Sept. 08. They were soon listed on the ecampus site as accepted. Then I never got paid. I sent an email. Received a rude reply saying that it would take 4-6 weeks. On the 7th week I called CS and they told me they had a backlog of buyback books and would put me on an express to get me paid. On the 10th week of still not having been paid, I called again only to be told that it will take 10-12 weeks. CS rep was very rude and spoke so low I could hardly hear her, even though I asked her to please speak up several times. I asked for my books to be sent back to me so I can sell them to someone else. Rude CS rep. said no. I asked to speak to her supervisor, rude cs rep refused to let me. They have two weeks to send me my money or they will be turned into the BBB and sued by me. I will NEVER use or recommend this company to anyone. It will seem like you will save a little money using them, but it is NOT WORTH IT! Esp. don't send them your used textbooks - there are tons of other used book stores online that will buy your books and get you your money that same week. Don't do business with ecampus!
I am having the same problem. Did you ever get paid?
