Full synthetic oil change
Hello, I have received 3 oil changes from your location on Dundas in Mississauga and I have the stickers and receipts to prove this. The last one I had was around a month ago. I took my car in to a mechanic today because my electrical sensor was going off and the mechanic told me whoever did my last oil change overfilled the oil which flooded my engine...

Worst experience with Economy Lube and 41 fairway rd, Kitchener Today.
Three days ago, I had my rear brake and rotors replaced. My Honda Civic's parking brake malfunctioned soon after that. I thought it’s just a usual thing , but it began to happen frequently.
Today, I drove to the Economy Lube, and the visit was a complete disaster. They were very rude and refused to acknowledge their error and even charged me more to rectify it. I am not sure whether the issue is fixed or will occur again.
I wouldn't suggest visiting these people and would advise staying away from them.
If the option to offer a 0 rating existed, I would have chosen that.

Oil change
On May 19, 2022 I got an oil change on my corolla at the Cambridge hespler st location.
shortly after the oil change my Car starting leaking oil.
I took it to the dealership suspecting the oil change tech did something wrong.
They had. They put the wrong gasket for the drain plug on which led to an oil leak. Had to take to the dealership to be rectified.
Desired outcome: I'd like for them to improve the training for their staff. This could have ruined my engine if I wasn't diligent about getting in for inspection
Tire change summer to winter
I wrote a bad review and I never got an answer.
I went to swap out summer tires to winter.
On my way home I heard a loud noise and felt vibration. I pulled over and found out the lug nuts were loose called shop guy can out and tightened them.
Had to go back to get my lug nut key which they forgot to give me.
The worse part of this is the guy who drove my van out of shop made my van smell like pot.
Do you allow your workers to smell like pot when they are working
I'm extremely pissed about this I'm wondering if they actually did an engine flush when I got my oil changed.
I can not trust this company especially when they do not answer review.
I need answers my van still smells like pot.
Desired outcome: Answer
Tire change summer to winter
I brought my van in to swap out summer tires to winter. On my way home I felt wobbling and load noise. Pulled over and 3 lug nuts weren't even tight can move with hand.
Called the store guy came out to fix then realized I didn't have my lug nut key socket.
So had to go back to store to get it.
The employee who drove my van out of the bay made my van smell like pot.
This is extremely unprofessional, unacceptable. This could have caused an accident or even a lot of unnecessary damage.
Not happy with this service
I should get a refund for this because it could have been worse.
Desired outcome: Refund

My husband had an oil change and undercoating late October. January, our vehicle broke down on his way home from work. He had the vehicle towed to our Hyundai dealer ship. Hyundai contacted him the following day stating the oil cap had fallen out, therefore all the oil drained and ceased the engine. Our receipt has no date or mileage recorded for our next...

On November 29 2018 i had my oil changed at economy lube Brantford Ontario on January 4 2019 when I started the van in the driveway the seal in the filter blew out and I lost all the oil and did not realize till several blocks later. The filter had to be installed incorrectly to loose for the seal to come dislodged. The vehicle was a 1994 Astro van with 4.6 engine the filter they installed is TD 111 it crosse references to Fram PH3387a in a fram cross reference this is not show as a fit for this vehicle proper fit is the Fram ph 3980. Chris offered a used engine from the wrecker's of unknown quality, but that is unsatisfactory most fluids have to be replaced or topped up and the air conditioning will have to be recharged.
Economy Lube is giving me the runaround they not responsible.Engine replacement for vehicle or cash settlement for cost of repair between 1800.00 to 2000.00 dollars

To anyone and everyone dealing with vehicle maintenance of any type, don't ever go to economy lube! They are scam artists who give the automotive industry a bad name! STAY AWAY! They posted a sign outside for an $18 oil change. It didn't say "starting at", just small print to see inside for details. When I took my car in they asked for the keys and said it would be ready in 10 minutes and didn't mention any 'details' (guess I had to ask). Ten minutes later they hadn't started. When they finally did start he rung up the price and said I owed $45. He said that my car needed "special" oil (that apparently is 2 1/2 times the price). I have a base model Hyundai Sonata. Nothing special about it. I refused to pay as he didn't tell me this price before starting the work. He checked and they had already done the work, so he agreed to discount it to $30. I refused to pay -- and got verbally aggressive with him so he backed off and charged the advertised price. He then challenged me to hit him then pointed at the camera. Unbelievable service. I looked around and they have no posted prices in the store.

My wife and I went to the Economy Lube location in Brantford on the afternoon of September 10th, 2008 with our 1995 Ford Explorer for a simple oil change and radiator flush but it didn't turn out to be so simple after all. Our Explorer was running like a dream and we've only had it for approximately 8 months. We paid a total of $2, 500 for it and it wasn't giving us any hint of any problems. We were just being sure to keep the maintenance up on it so that it would last us for quite some time.
This Economy Lube started checking things we never asked to be checked and we don't know a whole lot about cars ourselves so we were waiting in the lobby and next thing we know one of the employees comes walking up to us with a piece of metal and saying how we need to think about getting our differentials serviced in the future and we were told by this employee and by Mike, the manager there that our truck was in excellent shape other than needing the differentials serviced in the future and having a transmission flush done. We explained to them we couldn't afford to have these things done on this visit but would see about having them done on a future visit.
We paid our $146.00 for our oil change and radiator flush and drove on and went on our way not knowing our expecting for anything to be wrong with our Explorer. Just before we left, Mike the manager told us not to panic if we smelled any burning smell or if we saw anything leaking out of our truck because 'they use water to clean things after the oil change so that the oil doesn't leak down in the driveways'.
The next morning while my wife was driving to work our Explorer made a terrible clunking sound and died and we ended up having to have it towed off to a local shop here where we were told that somebody had left the fill plug out of the rear and all of the oil leaked out destroying the rear-end and that the rear-end would have to be replaced so I called the Economy Lube in Brantford and explained this situation to Mike the manager there to which he just kept saying 'Oh geeze!' Then he told me that I'd need to go in and fill out some kind of warranty paper and to not worry about the repair costs or anything because they would handle it. Of course going into an Economy Lube location that's over half an hour away from your house isn't very convenient without a car so I called the Economy Lube Administration number and explained the situation to a Customer Service girl who ended up putting Chris who identified himself as the General Manager of Economy Lube on the phone.
Again I was told not to worry about anything and to have the shop bill the repairs to them and they'd take care of everything and have our truck back to us as good as new. The shop here discovered when they went to replace the rear end that they wouldn't be able to without causing some other problems with the truck which they were told Economy Lube wouldn't cover paying for but they told me that Chris the General Manager had told them that if we wanted to go this route, he could just give us the costs it would've taken to repair the truck and we could put it towards getting another car. Of course we really DID NOT want to go this route because like I said we haven't had any sign of any problem with our Explorer, it's ran like a dream and we've only had it for about 8 months.
The costs of repairs was estimated to be at $1253.52 but after not being able to find or think of any other option I called Chris back and told him we just wanted the cash for the costs of repairs like he had offered. He then proceeds to tell me that either it can be fixed at 'their shop for $600.00 or he'd give us $600.00 cash' He said the shop we had it in was trying to overcharge us and those were our ONLY options.
Anybody who has ever had to have a rear end replaced on a Ford Explorer has to know that the $1253.52 price is not an overcharge. That is a costly repair and it involves lots of work, changing the fluids, loosening and taking off the brakes, putting them back on and tightening them...etc..etc..etc... So I told Chris that really wouldn't work and that he said he'd give us the costs of repairs in cash, that's what he told that shop it's in that he'd do and I need $1253.52. He then repeatedly told me he'd only give me $600.00 and that our truck is worthless anyway. How's that for customer service? F**k up somebody's car then try to short change the amount you'd be willing to give them to compensate for it?
Also who would trust a $600.00 rear end replacement that was done by a company that couldn't even handle doing an oil change and radiator flush without severely damaging your vehicle? Read this report and all the other reports about Economy Lubes in various locations and ask yourself if it's worth it to save time getting your oil changed by these kind of people? I don't think it is.
For the sake of your car, truck, van or whatever you're driving AVOID ECONOMY LUBE AT ALL COSTS! They do careless work, destroy your vehicle and have the worst Customer Service of all time. Here it is one week later and my wife is still having problems finding rides to and from work. She works about 30 miles away from our home and does Economy Lube care about the inconvenience they caused us? No. Have they tried to handle this situation and resolve it in a reasonable manner? No. It seems to me all they're concerned with is trying to save themselves all the money they can save themselves and care less about the customers who were wronged. Maybe they ### up everybody's car with the thought in mind that everybody will take their car back their to get it fixed afterwards and it'd be more money for them?
In any case I would suggest everybody avoid this company and let all your family and friends know to avoid this company too. Your car will thank you for it.

My issue was not actually about the service I went in for, but a promo they were running, and the way they figured all customers were stupid. To cut to the chase, after 3 phone calls and two extra visits to the shop, I find that the other wiper blade, that was suppose to be in stock days prior, hadn't even been ordered. The solution to this was to run to the shop nextdoor and grab one of their blades. When he went to install it for me, he then told the young worker not to open the package, and proceeded to tell me that I had to get my wipers from the dealer. Apparently BMW and a couple of Fords (including the Mustang) had to have special wiper blades. When I said they all fit, he became very argumentative. He wouldn't admit he was telling a lie to cover up either for lack of knowledge about installing, or to try to get out of the promo, then when I suggested that the problem was actually that they were two different blades and would look stupid together, all hell broke loose. I have both blades, but that is not good enough. Obviously their head office doesn't really concern themselves because I called there days ago and have yet to get a return call. A simple problem with a simple solution, turned into a customer service nightmare. I'm telling everyone I know and then some...DO NOT GO TO ECONOMY LUBE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE !
Paid for an oil change on February 10, 2016. The company over charges and used dirty oil for the oil change. It costs $43.00 for dirty oil and an oil filter. Do Not Use Economy Lube!
My cousin who lives in America told me over the phone that he went into one of these shady place's to have a oil change for $20 but when the technician came back after looking at the car he said that it needed the coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid and that the car took some special expensive oil and quoted him over $375, luckily he used to be a mechanic but unfortunatly he has back problem's and therefore does not work on car's no more so he told them to f off off and that he is a ex mechanic and told them that all of the above fluid's apart from the engine oil had been changed 7 month's ago and because it was an automatic then why did they quote him for a clutch fluid drain and change and when he asked to speak to the manager the grease monkey started pleading with him that there was no point speaking to the manager because he was the one who told them to lie and rip people off and in turn the owner forces the staff to rip people off if not then they are out of a job. Eventually he did speak to the manager who started to blame both of the technician's and one of the technician's who was a big chap grabbed the lying manager around the neck and told him to confess that he was the the one who told them to lie and rip off customer's for work that was not needed and even worse was that they would charge you and not even do the work after that both of the technician's took their overall's off and told the manager that they will be telling everyone as to what happen's here and walked out all of this in front of my cousin. My cousin told him that he would tell everyone what a blatant ripoff this place was and the manager replied by stating that the owner bullied them into doing this and that they would get extra money every time they ripped people off and called it an up sell. My cousin is trying to do his best to warn anyone he can about this greedy scumy place and i hope someone take's them to court and this place is closed down, suprisingly enough i just watched this on you tube and i think these are the two technician's who quit and walked out of their rip off job and tell how they are forced into scamming customer's by the owner:

Simply disgusting.
i just had an issue with them
Upsell! Upsell!
I feel sorry for you, my experience with them was also not good. I went there for the first time for oil change and will never go to Economy lube again. I went for a regular oil change to economy lube in Waterloo. They have written every where that it costs only $19.99 for regular oil change.
I was shown a bill of $180 the mechanic who seemed to be the brother of the other guy working on the cash register, said that I need to change brake oil, transmission oil and also I was told water gets mixed with engine oil. I refused for other oils. Any way, instead of $19.99 I was given a bill for $30.
They did not drain out the old oil, they put some new oil and told me that there was very less oil in the engine. When I asked did you drain out the old oil, the guy said yes. I told him I have been watching and I never saw you taking out the old oil. He said yes he did. When I came home and checked the oil myself, it looked black and it does not look fresh oil at all. I knew that the guy was lying to me.
They are cheating people, when I discussed this with one my friend he also had similar experience with them.
