I purchased airline tickets totaling $731.70 with edreams, and my travel plans changed so I asked for a refund. I received an email stating that i woukd be issued a refund, but they failed to state how much the refund would be for. Edreams refused to send the refund to my credit card. They demanded that I give them my personal checking information, routing number, and IBAN number for the refund. I called the company 3 times and provided this information to a representative. I was assured during my last call to edreams, on August 24, 2023, that I would receive a full refund in 7 to 10 business days. I received an email at 6:19am this morning, stating that they needed my banking account information yet again. I called, and the representative stated, "I can’t see your account information," and asked me to provide my private bank information a fourth time. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, and he told me that was not possible. I was informed that I had to fill out a form and a manager "might" contact me. I asked the representative to look at the notes in my file, and he was at least able to see that I provided my account number, routing number, and IBAN during the telephone call on 8/24/2023. Yet, he asked that I provide my information again. He also stated that my refund should be available and told me to look at my account. I told him that I have not received a refund/deposit from edreams into my bank account. He then said, "Oh, I mean the refund is available to us." Whatever that means. I then asked him what the total of my refund would be, and he said $300 because of fees. I was so angry that I shouted expletives at the representative and hung up. Then I tried to cancel out my account online, to avoid further dealinga with this company. But I could not cancel the account due to an issue with the server. So I called back to cancel my account.
While I spoke to this representative, he said I was already issued a $417 refund last week! Which I did not receive, and conflicts with the other representative's report that my refund would only be for $300! Clearly, this company is scamming people to get their credit card and personal checking information. I want my $731.70 back in full, because now I have to deal with the stress of getting new credit cards issued and changing my bank account numbers.
Desired outcome: Full refund of $731.70, by paper check because I don't trust this company having any of my financial information.
E-Dreams should be renamed to E-Nightmares. DON'T ever use E-Dreams. You will simply never get any refunds from them. Kris, their bot, is absolutely useless and you never get to speak to a human. E-Dreams have no problem getting money out of your bank account, but despite providing IBAN and all other bank information your refund never gets paid into your account. DON'T use E-Dreams!
