I had a roommate who left the apartment and lease 4 months ago. She legally changed her address to Ohio! The office will not renew my lease without her signature or create a new lease now that the first one expired. They stated we had to do an add/drop on the new lease and required her signature. The office staff was well aware that this same person had walked out on 2 prior lease holders, and they still allowed her to move in with me. Now that she refuses to sign off on the lease, I have to move. The staff will give you a price on the phone and then ask if you have that price in writing and if not they change it. On at least 4 phone calls I was told $1500 then all of a sudden it is $1574 and then I get an email stating I owe $650 which reflects a $50 a day late fee. Leah from the office told me I would owe $350 on the 10th and then I was told no it is not a $50 dollar late charge it is $50 a day! If I had known that I would have got an advance on my check and paid the $350! Your office staff should not be allowed to give prices over the phone if it is not true! Still do not known why the rent increase was more than the stated $300 a month additional for month to month! Very unorganized and incompetent staff!
Desired outcome: I would have been happy to pay the $1574 but it was changed to $1695 and that is way too much for a 2 bedroom apartment
