Eivan’s Photo Photographer and customer service

Sam S. took a long time, but eventually helped us. He said he would help us after us signing a settlement agreement. It took many emails, 3 months, and some phone calls to get help! We are missing pictures from our wedding and only 13 were found. Nothing can be done about still missing pictures (the photographer issue will be handled internally), said we'd get a credit we had to pay shipping and handling to use but we have to sign an agreement to use it. The agreement is copy righted and we can't post about it, which I also don't agree with, but we are doing that too. We are working with BBB to try and get this resolved. I think it is a person's right to post reviews, it is my right to have freedom of speech. They have finally started to work on a solution to our problem it just took a long time. I think my money should have been refunded or we should have received a digital copy of all our pictures without any settlement signing. At least they found some of the pictures they misplaced. Our calls were cut off multiple times, so email seems to work better.

Desired outcome: Refund or digital copy of all pictures

They took back our credit because we wouldn't sign a settlement agreement, but are now re offering it to us again to solve this problem.

Eivan’s Photo No Response, I will be getting my refund and have all the proof I need

I would like a Tier II customer service representative to email me at [protected]@gmail.com

This will be the 5th paper trail that I complete on you ignoring my wife's and I's request for assistance with how we were grossly misled as a consumer for your wedding package. They had misled us on what the package included, ignored our interest and desire to have digital downloads, did not make mention of any pricing, and also did not take into consideration our interests at hand. Our sales rep Danny P has now abandoned us and we will be getting a refund without ANY repercussion if this is not resolved. Documentation, paper trails, and everything I need for a case has been gathered. You need to make it right!

Desired outcome: We would like rights to digital copies of our photos in our photobook

Eivan’s Photo 0/5 stars stay away from this terrible company

Want a highly stressfull and uncertain wedding planning experience? Then eivian's is the photographer and videographer for you! I am highly disappointed in these high reviews from the knot, and most importantly the lack of professionalism and customer service from eivian's. Not only do they have a lack of communication with the bride, groom and family, though they do not let you select your photographer and videographer upon booking. Don't even bother calling or emailing them, they never answer, and their responses are always delayed by a few days. Especially when it happens to be the three days within your cancellation window, ha, what a class act! Not! Do yourself a favor and instead of looking at the amazing reviews below, find another company for your special day.

We happily cancelled the contract after they were unwilling to work with us. If you are a bride and want a straightforward and efficient wedding planning experience, do not hire these crazy people! They will bully you! The amount of disrespect they had, and lack of follow-up and follow-through is completely unprofessional and disgusting! This is supposed to be the most exciting time in one's life, and they suck all of the excitement out of you. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company and go for an actual professional photographer and videographer. Someone you can actually sit down and meet. Take it from me, now i'm out $1, 000 due to their shadiness and lack of professionalism. You truly get what you pay for! Low, fair prices, terrible experience!

We used Evians photos and I can’t stress enough they were awful. We chose a photographer from the portfolios they sent us and 2 weeks before the wedding we were told we had Ken. Not even one of the photographers we had looked at. Looking at his portfolio we had decided we didn’t want him. His photos were not good. Not centered blurry. People cut out of photos when we voiced our concerns we were told he was a good photographer and that was who we had to have. The day of the wedding he was rude at one point we asked him to take a particular photo and we were told he was busy so if we couldn’t wait we couldn’t have the shot. He took 10 pictures of the groom and groomsmen in their boxers. And 6 portraits of the bride and groom When we got the pictures some were blurry, many were not centered and some had people cut out of the shot. We did call to complain but they don’t really seem to care I would absolutely NOT recommend Evians. They are awful!

Eivan’s Photo photographer/videographer

Eivan's Photo Inc is a joke. They have the worst customer service and ZERO follow-up. All they have accomplished for us is take our money. We are unable to get a hold of our scheduled photographer for quite some time now. We contact Eivan's and they informed us to register and send in some paperwork and then the photographer would get a hold of us. Well, we did that several months back. Obviously they have no idea what's going on and now we request a refund, since they have done absolutely nothing, and they will no refund anything. They are rude and not a personal company. they don't care about anything except the payments. AVOID Eivan's Photo at all costs. Waste of money and time. Too frustrated to deal with this non-sense.

PS: READ their BS contract BEFORE signing it. Its loaded with crap.

Another chance? We have given many chances and Eivan's fails. It's been several months and we haven't heard anything and Eivan's hasn't done anything except take our money. Eivan's is concerned about getting the email out to remind me to pay monthly but that's the only work they put in. And now NO REFUNDS are coming back even though Eivan's has done absolutely NOTHING. So another chance, I think not. Eivan's should be ashamed of their business practices and lack of consideration for their customers.

I was issued a Notice of Cease and Desist Internet/Social Media Defamation. I do not want to deal with them anymore and therefore requesting to remove this complaint.

Eivan’s Photo photography & videography

If you would like professional photos do not book them! I understand the saying " You get what you pay for." The price is good but at least hope for the important moments to be captured. #notatall! Also please read the contract in its entirety. It states They are not responsible for any photo moments that is not captured. How can they not be responsible when they send you a questionnaire asking the style & references of what you'd like them to look like? And you don't get any that you sent to them! I didn't get anything even close to the references I sent them. You would also need to be sure that you and your husbands attire and make up is up to part when getting photos taken, because if it's not they won't tell you that your husband has make up all over his face looking like a clown. And then the proof photos to you like you wouldn't notice. My guest took better photos and video with their phones way better then what they were paid to do. I know the extent of work a photographer and videography has to do and they didn't even come close to doing so. They literally came in with cameras held them snapped walked around, Snap, got lost for about an hour and missed me coming down the stairs meeting my dad and my whole entire cocktail hour... I have no clue what it looked like after all the money I put out for it! I'm so hurt and disappointed. The photographers in other states may be good, but North Jersey sucks! And they will blame you for the entire ordeal. I thought I would be able to recover photos from the video but nope, not at all. I don't even have any decent full body photos to put up for my wall portrait. Hardly any of me alone, only 2 photos of me alone. He spent a significant amount of time with the groomsmen. No photos of my guest seated at their tables, no well wishes from them to me. Very unprofessional. The Eivan's team in north jersey are horrible with no empathy for me, my day and money that was spent. It definitely was not what I expected. This review probably won't get posted on WeddingWire as I only saw the good reviews. And I was right... Wedding wire posted my pics but not my review... I should have saw the red flag when there were no bad reviews. But it may just be North Jersey that's horrible. This is my one and only time I get married and I had an amazing time up until I received my photos and video. This is a indubitably unacceptable.

Eivan’s Photo failure to refund my money

I have become a victim of Eivan's Photography's deceptive ways. I have been battling this company for 2 years for them to return my $1900 in which the owner, Sam Jalouga said he would. First off, you have to give them a $250 deposit then they email you a 10 page contract (that's right, 10 PAGES!) My daughter was pressured by them to sign and return the contract within 24 hours or risk losing the price quoted. My daughter signed the contract with them in Jan 2015, (big mistake!) and I was the one who paid the deposit and the remaining balance of $1650 which had to be paid in full by mid March of 2015 per the contract for her Oct 2015 wedding.

From day one, my daughter was under the impression from them (phone calls that took place Jan 2015 and advertising on their Facebook page) that she would get to choose the actually photographer that she wanted to photograph her wedding. This is what she was told and what they advertised on their Facebook page.

On Aug 14, 2015 my daughter received an email from Eivan's saying that they had assigned a photographer to her. She looked at this photographer's work and this was not what she wanted for her wedding photos. (Remember, they advertise that you can hand pick your photographer.) Several emails were exchanged between my daughter and Eivan's/ Sam Jalouga. Many of the emails were CC to their "legal" department. (Yes, they claim to have their own "legal" department! Do they have that many dissatisfied customers?) But they refused to let her choose the photographer that she wanted. When my daughter pointed out to Mr. Jalouga that he advertises " you can hand pick your own photographer...", someone changed Eivan's Facebook page to read " you can handpick your photographer style"...(See photo below.) Mr. Jalouga then told my daughter that she could cancel her contract for a full refund. Ok, great! My daughter cancels with them and no services or photography was ever provided by Eivan's. At least they are owning up to their false advertising that lured her in and they are offering to make it right by refunding my $1900. Wrong! To this day, Sam Jalouga has refused to refund my money and I seriously doubt that he ever intended to. There is no customer service with this company and I hope you never have to deal with all of the stress that Eivan's has put me through the past 2 years! Hopefully, I can save some of you from making the same big mistake my daughter did when she decided to go with this company!

If Eivan's ever does the right thing and refunds my $1900 like Mr. Jalouga said he would, I will update this post to let you know!

Please take the time to read the additional reviews of other people's bad experiences with this company on other websites. Feel free to email me if you would like a copy of the 10 page contract (you'll be shocked at what's in it) or if you have any questions. Your wedding photos are your memories that will last a life time so please get suggestions from your friends and make sure that you get to meet the actual photographer well in advance and see their work before you sign a contract!

(I had to be the one to write this review because in the contract that my daughter signed it states that if you leave Eivan's Photography any negative feedback on any social media that they will charge you $250 per day or even possible sue you.)

Hi! Wow. I am appalled. I would love to see this 10 page contract you speak of. We didn’t even see a contract but yet they claim we signed one. They have a booking form I filled out and at the bottom there was a box that had terms and conditions and it was 36 pages long. Apparently that was their contract and me clicking that I agreed was my signature. However, my fiancé did not sign the booking form and they claim he signed the contract also. So, they have it wrong. They are a shady company and an all around disgrace of a business.

Eivan’s Photo Dishonorable Business Practices

First let me start by saying that I have never had an experience with a vendor as I have with Eivan's. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The purpose of my review is to share and enlighten. The moments captured at your wedding is priceless. To contract with someone and they fail to deliver products that is clearly written in their brochure and included in the contract is deplorable. I would not recommend Eivan's to anyone (friend or foe). It was not a positive experience and I should have run from the very beginning. I should have taken heed to the warning signs but they were recommended to me; however, the recommender didn't share their issues until after I contracted with them. I contracted with Eivan's photgraphy for my photography/videography for my vowel renewal wedding ceremony. They provided the worst customer service out of all of my vendors. Several times I was told that statements in writing did not mean what they meant not realizing they were breaching their contract and it was a struggle getting them to honor the terms of the contract and all were not met and fulfilled. I want to be rid of them so desperately that I am not going to pursue any legal claims, I will just use the power of the pen and make sure I tell EVERYONE to PLEASE choose another vendor. Even if Eivan's is more within your budget the photography/videography is so critical in capturing your once in a lifetime event. I waited 15 years to celebrate that moment and they made it sour, sour, sour. Final straw: we contracted for a low resolution CD of all images captured. When we received the CD all of the images were copyrighted. That is not what the contract stated; however, Sam (the owner) told me that is what they do. I explained to him that is not what is stated within the contract and he told me well that is what we mean too bad you didn't understand. I understood just fine then he asked me what did I want and I told him that I wanted him to honor the contract and provide me with a low res CD of the images that are not copyrighted and he told me that he couldn't do that. I will be reporting them to the BBB. It seems that they have had this same issue with other customers. I wish that I had read the reviews before contracting with them and I hope somebody reads mine. I don't want anyone to experience what I have.

Eivan’s Photo lack of responsiveness

I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service with this company. My fiancee and I had a meeting in Naperville. The girl who typically works in Naperville was sick so we had our meeting the the gentleman from Schaumburg. We had a wonderful meeting with him and we enjoyed your company very much. we were discussing pricing and I had stated I received and email from your company with prices for a deal on video and photo. We discussed it and the prices were off. When we left he stated that he was going to look into it for us and get back to us the next day. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I am extremely disappointed. I will NOT be doing business with this company and I urge you not to as well!

I wanted to delete this review all together in order to calm the waters between my fiancee and I, and this company. The review was posted with haste, and perhaps could have been delayed in order to give customer service a chance to respond before I posted reviews such as this. The content of the complaint is factual, aside from my typo of almost 3 weeks, as it was almost just 2 weeks. None the less, we were told we would have a response the next day. That was his assurance, we didn't even request such prompt handling and would have understood if he informed us he needed more time in the meantime. However, this was not the case. We didn't hear a word from the company until after contacting customer service and posting reviews. As I said, I was quick to post reviews, and should have maybe afforded customer service some time to respond first. Regardless, this unfortunate turn of events has led me to not being comfortable with this company. The representative has offered a very generous consolation for the inconvenience of their lack of service, which is appreciated. However given what we have seen with this company, there is no way of finding comfort in using these services. With photography being such a considerable cost of a wedding or other events, I advise you to use your own discretion when selecting vendors.

You were wise not to select this vendor for your wedding. I unfortunately did and am still regretting my decision. I hope that you were satisfied with the vendor you selected. I appreciate your review. I hope yours as well as mine will be helpful to someone. I wish that I had run same as you because there were warning signs from the very beginning.

Eivan’s Photo Terrible company

I don't want anything from this company. I just want to say that I was also threatened by the owner with a lawsuit for expressing dissatisfaction with the services his company provided. He also made a comment that he knew where I worked which was really threatening and I recorded that comment. I also kept all of the e-mails he sent me which were threatening as well. This guy wanted me to sign a statement indicating that he could sue me if I said anything else negative about his company. I will say that the photographer he sent was great. He captured the essence of what I wanted the day to be like. My complaint was with the design of the album and the lack of communication and direction I was given to help design the album. I was never shown a proof of the album before it wasw printed. The owner just called me up and told me the album was ready. I didn't think that I had any recourse so I just said I was satisfied with the album. I posted my dissatisfaction with his service on the YELP website and that is when my problems began. I was contacted by the owner who offered to print the album over and I was very impressed with his offer and I felt he was a good person but then he decided that I had to sign a statement indicating that I was stating libelous things about his company and that I coulod not expres my opinion about his company anymore or I would be sued. I refused to sign that statement and he refused to send me my proofs back and I had to get an attorney and threaten to file a lawsuit and file a complaint with the better business bureau in order for him to give me my proofs back. I have since had the album created and printed by another photography company and they did a great job. They worked with me and listened to what I wanted and the album is beautiful. That's all I wanted from Eivan's was for them to listen to what I wanted. Yes, I was emotional, but I am not a photography expert, that is why I hired his company. I needed direction from him on exactly what I needed to do in order to have the album capture what I was trying to capture that day. Instead, he made me out to be the villian because I expressed dissatisfaction with is company. All I did was tell the truth and I have the documentation to support what I said. Again, the photographer was excellent. I would definately recommend the photographer but I can not recommend Eivan's photography company due to the poor customer service that I received from the owner. If you are one of the lucky ones to not have a problem with his company and you do not have to resolve any type of disputes, then fine. But, if a problem arises and you have to resolve a complaint with him, he has poor customer service recovery skills and it's not worth the hassle.

It is unfortunate that in 3 years their customer service has not improved. I was one of the unfortunate customers and I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I have never dealt with a more abrasive owner than this one. There was one hassle after another. It has been a struggling getting them to honor the products included in the packages details as written in their brochure and also on my contract. I too have endured insult after insult and suttle and not so suttle threats. The customer service is absolutely deplorable. I am considering pursuing a formal lawsuit against the company as even in the BBB complaint they failed to acknowledge how they did not deliver the product as promised and contracted. I'm glad that you were able to have the final product that you desired. I'm sorry for the hassle you endured. I wish that I had read your review and those similiar before I chose them as my photographer/videographer.

My husband and I just finished a lawsuit lasting 5 months, against Sam Jalouga of Eivan’s Photography. After pre-paying for out package a year in advance and exhausting all additional resources (that we were willing to fork out), we ended up “settling” for a partial refund and 143 unedited photos that my seven yr. old could have taken!
