Unemployed since 5/27 and have call all edd numbers. on hold over four hours and was told to the call center is closed please call back the next day. Wait time customer service, four hours and thirty minutes and was told to call back. No in person office to submit documents. No number or online service for federal employees to file a claim. Please advise, I can never get an answer to file a claim. Keep telling me to call back. Call all day until 8:00 and never reach a reel. Operate states receiving too many calls to call later. Started claim stating I was not a federal employee and only could get to I'ID. Scan of face was not accepted.

This has been horrible with EDD! I am currently on hold for 3 hours and they are about to close. I have not been paid in months and have verified my identity two times! Get your [censored] together EDD! We are struggling and you are not helping. People need jobs? Great! Open us some jobs at the EDD so the incompetent has some back up. This is the second time I have had to verify my identity with no resolution. The identity dept have cleared me so pay me! Why does it take so long? Hire more people!

i reapplied for unemplouyent on [protected]. I was on unemployment due to COVID in 2020 but stoped certifying/filling because I was working on or around 1-1-2021. My current claim has been in pending status since [protected] and have certified every 2 week perion sine. The last time I certified, showing my job serch history was on [protected].
On June 30, 2021 I sent a message via on line as to the status of payment buthave not received a response even though thir confimation of my mesage says I woul get a responce in 5-7 days. Tried calling but cannot get through

No Payments Due Paid After Claim Renewal
I haven't received a payment in five payment cycles. Within that time, I had to file a new claim, because mine expired. I have received the renewed notification for that. A claim form was sent with the award letter. I manage my claim online, so it really is just a matter of them putting the money in my existing account! A big problem is that whoever designed the EDD website doesn't understand what, "Check Claim Status" actually means! When, you call the number provided it only provides information about payments you've already received! Which, is not the same as status of payments pending. Which, is the information people can't find on the website, and is most important. There is also a link to "Call EDD", if you haven't received payment after 10 days of certification has passed. It goes to a page that cannot be found! Too bad, California pays even incompetent people who run government departments like this so handsomely. They have no idea what it is like to rely on them for something so essential! Why, hasn't Gavin Newsom sent in people to take over this department who has a sense of urgency? Because, he's all hair no cattle!
Payment not received and cannot log in to the benefits to complete their form

The EDD did not pay on Friday as they usually do. I logged into my account 6/25 and 6/27 to see why.
On 6/27, they added a form to be submitted on 6/30 that asked whether I have or have not returned to work. I was not allowed to complete this form ahead of time even though my return to work date is 7/4.
I tried to access my account yesterday and today (tried about 15 times) and all of the times I got an error message "this website does not exist".
I called today. I was on hold for 55 minutes. The lady (did not give name) kept repeating that she can't do anything without the form and I kept telling her that I am not able to log in. She hung up right at the point when I was going to ask for a supervisor. Now I am on hold again. I find this completely unacceptable. This is not the first time they had just hung up. I am dealing with cancer and really don't have a lot of energy to be treated like this.

Delayed Benefits. Get disconnected and lose my place in line!
Today will be my 8th time EDD about my benefits. At 8am I called EDD by phone and the automation messaging system said your department was closed! how is that? I called at exactly 8 o'clock this morning and the automation messaging system said EDD is closed! Than, I called back at 8:03 Am and I finally got through; The automation system said that my wait time would be 4 mins, then 1 min later, my call gets disconnected again! What is going on over there? This is the 2nd time I get through to EDD, ONLY to get disconnected again and lose my place in line. From here on out I will video recording my calls to EDD and will posting my experience on social media so that everyone knows what is happening to me and many others who undergo this situation.
In case you don't know what the problem is, You see Previously, I filed a new UI claim 2 months ago and have been certifying my UI benefits for the last 8 weeks. For the past 8 weeks I have been diligently calling and emailing the unemployment department to resolve the issue. Due to the high call volume I couldn't get through for weeks! I finally got through and spoke with an agent about why I haven't received my benefits after filing a claim, which gave me extended benefits for 29 more weeks. While I was talking to the agent, she said there was an alert on my claim and that it needed to be removed before I could get benefits. So my call was transferred to another agent. While I was waiting to speak with the 2nd agent, I was on hold for almost 30 mins before I was hung up and lost my place in line! I did file a form of complaint to EDD about my experience with being delayed for UI benefits.

I applied for benefits and received my insurance award letter with the benefit amount. I first certified for the week of 4/4/21 and still have not received any payments. The reason for my claim is due to COVID 19 and caring for others. All my certifications say pending. I have emailed EDD w/ no response and have tried calling but am not able to get through. My EDD customer account number is [protected]. I also have been receiving mail from EDD with other peoples names for several weeks and am concerned about fraud. Maybe this is the reason for my delayed payments? I emailed EDD right away and did get a response for the fraud concern saying they were looking into it. I am mailing those letters back to EDD stating "return to sender". Please help me resolve.

I filed an initial claim on May 6th. I received my initial letter from EDD stating my benefit amount. Subsequently every two weeks receive a notice to re-certify. It's been nearly 8 weeks and everything still says pending and no payment has been received. Each time I call the number for customer service I am disconnected after hearing a message that they don't have enough people to take my call. This is absolutely unacceptable! People who have paid into these benefits for decades deserve better! Bills aren't going to pay themselves.

Fully legitimate claim filed on May 6th as well (same day). I now have 10 weeks claimed. That's 2 1/2 months now with nothing. Someone should actually lose their job over this (and then let them get in line!).
Payments not received/ email and telephone response
I have been filing my certifications for my UI claim but haven't received a payment since 4/4/21. I've tried calling and once when I did get to speak to someone they couldn't remedy the problem in the system so they " escalated" the call to someone else, when this person finally answered they looked at the issue and couldn't resolve the problem either so I was put on hold again at which time I was on hold a total of 5hour 38minutes and then the call disconnected because it was 8p.m. The next week when I got in queue again I was on hold for 30minutes and when it was picked up the line disconnected. I've sent 4 emails since 5/3/21 and haven't received a response to my question about my payments. I Have certified for my benefits for weeks May 3-17th. But EDD has not put the funds on my credit card, And I know there are funds there. But I am unable to get thru on the phones lines I have tried for a month now, hold times up to 3-4 hours, and then being disconnected. And they will not release my next 2 weeks to certify May 17-31st. So I will lose money if I cant get through on the phone, which is impossible.

I sent email computer response says someone will be in touch in 10 days. Well it's been 5 weeks and I have heard nothing in email or by mail. On my claim it says I have $2600 dollars of unemployment benefits on claim and have gotten nothing except a message saying pending, and to keep certifying. I am requesting some king of response from someone at EDD to tell me how do I start getting paid.

Unethical Behavior of Customer Service Representative
On Wednesday, May 26th I contacted EDD concerning my open claim. After waiting for 2 hours and 24 minutes on hold I was patched through to a customer service agent who was so unprofessional its hard for me to believe the phone call took place to begin with. She immediately started arguing with me claiming I was yelling when I was not. I apologized in case there was a misunderstanding, however, as the phone converstaion progressed she became more and more hostile until she finally decided to patch me through to another person because she "just couldn't help me." Within the converstion, she made the point that she "works from home and unless you are in the mail department or checking faxes everyone else in the company worked from home as well." After being rerouted and waiting a several more minutes, the same agent picked up the line, her response to me being "Oh its you again?" She began to argue once again and she becamse so unreasonable and distraught she called in a male "coworker" from the other room of her house to mediate the situation. The two of them began criticizing me, the coworker saying I was yelling and I need to contact EDD. Both "agents" sounded inebriated and the result was that i was hung up on, leaving me near 3 hours of wasted time without any resolve to my concerns with my EDD account. Not only was my time wasted and I have no resolve to my issue, but on top of it Im convinced the person with the agent was not a coworker which is a HIPAA violation at which point I have every right to sue EDD for violation of my privacy.
Desired outcome: Desired result are having my concerns addressed by EDD, my claim resolved and back on track and for CSA to beheld accountable for her unprofessionalism and violation of my rights to privacy.

The 3rd party of EDD reput me on hold and misinformed me of the wait time. the wait time kept reseting while my phone ran out of battery making the process continue for several days (while needing urgent UI)
i was told i would be emailed immediately with everything to continue which was a lie and i was forced to use a workaround to access my claim
once i did the claim filed was of an old claim and expired.
they asked me to do the whole process again. I wish I could but am given this in error every time.

California EDD; Where's my payment?
I am unemployed, the last payment I have received from EDD was March 8th. I have certified all weeks since then and nothing! No payment has come. I have sent 5 messages online, with no results. I have called the EDD phone number, where I wound up in their voice jail, then to have a voice say "Call back at another time". I even went to the Glendale EDD office where I first applied. The office was closed except for a security guard who said to pass a note through a space in the door and someone would get back to me within 24 hours. I received an email, saying they could not help me.
I have a Dying family member in San Diego; which I have made weekly visits. My car registration is now expired, I cannot afford gas to go, I have run out of funds. and nobody seems to care or is even the least bit interested.

I had to refile for unemployment after a year back in March 2021. I received my first payment on 4/8 and now it is stuck in pending and have not been paid in 5 weeks! In the min of March I applied for UI benefits. It has been more then 2 months that I am not getting any payments even though I have been certifying my weeks.
