"The story is always the same: He is an Armani Managing Director, with fake business card, and is leaving for Italy... Asking in Italian for indications to the Airport. He doesn't want to take the jackets with him coz he will pay duty at the border. So he gave them to me and asked if I could give him some money so he can buy an Ipad for his son at the airport.
I have reported the guy to the police. They are investigating... Hope they catch this ###!"
I just got ripped off from him.. about 2 hour ago. I was very suspicious.. but he is like crying and desperate that his credit is full but he had to go back to Italy by tomorrow.. The story is pretty much same as above, , Hey guys dont, dont be soft to anyone who shake your heart on the street.. I suddenly thought like I have been too tough to people I randomly meet on the street.. and I got ripped off. I really hope these types of spam artist get caught soon..
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I fell for it in Dubai about an hour ago. 3000 AED. on the other hand I have 3 decent suits.
I see somebody else reporting him in Toronto today, so there must be more than one. The guy I met is definitely Italian, I spoke Italian with him.
Exact same thing happened to me just now in Berlin. I was stupid enough to give him 200 Euros to help him out. I am financially in a tight spot, so I got blinded by the refund money for the jackets he offered me. I am going to the police now, but what did you guys do with the jackets?
Exactly the same story happened to me on Saturday 9th Feb. in London! he says he wants to go to the Heathrow Airport! Then just as you described, every details are the same! I have been cheated 1000 pounds I was so stupid! Here is his fake business card!
he also said he will be back to London on 29th March for a show!
I think we met the same Italian "[censored]". He was in Manchester in late November last year. The fake business is the same one he showed me.
I called Manchester police afterward and was directed to Action Fraud. No action has been taken yet. But I still think you should report to the police.
Unfortunately, today I paid him. He first asked me for directions on my cell phone saying there was no battery on his cellphone and I showed him the way. And he wanted give me three cloths for appreciation, and I bought him an iPhone near by iPhone store. I hope that no one like me will appear again today, and he roamed around USC at south of Los Angeles today.
He is in Las Vegas, NV. Now driving a new black Range Rover. Ran into him in the lot of a food market. Same spiel, as described, Directions to the airport, etc. Got zip from me, because I smelled a scam.
Alias: Antonio D'errico
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Italian
Physical Description: Tanned Skin with Black Cut-Short Hair.
Vehicle: Grey SUV
LAST SEEN IN LONDON, UK AROUND UCL AND UNIVERSITY OF LAW LONDON BLOOMSBURY ON 3RD NOVEMBER 2020.
He mentioned that he was going to fly to Dubai for some ridiculous Fashion Week, and that he was from Milano, Italy. Thankfully, I trusted my instincted, and made an excuse to get away.
Whatever you do, do NOT help him out.
It's pretty hilarious how pre-planned his story is. All the images on his phone are blurred, and there are absolutely no contacts or notes on his phone. Trying to get more info from him, I asked for his proof of identity, and he's definitely an EU Citizen with his first name starting as 'An...'
I couldn't see anything else and he held his thumb onto his name like his life depended on it!
Anyways, just beware of this guy in London and stay safe, everyone!
Hi I just happened the same thing, could you kindly update your current process of the scam!
he asked me transferred 1600 to his rental car company
I just got scammed by this guy for €1100 in Cologne, Germany. I am not sure what to feel because I always believe in the good of people. I hope karma gets the best of these ****. Advice to people: always take a picture with them. If they're really in need of help, they would not be scared. If they are just con artists, then they'll run away.
Unfortunately have also just fallen prey to this scheme. Similar story he cooked up, but instead asked me to withdraw £1, 000 because he hit his credit limit for the day and needed the amount to pay for the rental car before going on a flight. Proceeds to cajole me and show me his business card, the clothing which he wants to give to me to avoid tax. Also shows internet pictures of his fashion show. Decides to believe him and gets driven to the bank where i withdraw cash. Give it to him and he then shows me proof that he transferred the money back to me. But thinking back realized it's probably a scam.
I fell for this today.. Manchester UK.. £1500
Anyone manage to get their cash back..?
He’s in Boston today, driving a white BMW suv. Just have him $300 today. What a ****
Btw, just about 3 hours ago
God same... I gave him more than £1500, those scammers really should go to hell ugh
This happened to me as well in The Netherlands in July. Fortunately I refuse the guy and he took the bag with clothes back from me.
Same story, in New York
He's using this name again, I Manchester today.
Just get scammed for more than £1, 500 in London... shouldn't believe anyone on the street crying for help..
He did the same with me he said he’s looking for the airport and that he had no internet to use the maps so I helped him and he said u can take free suit the same about the duty free stuff.. but this time he’s going with the name Franco Rossi be safe everyone he’s a bald guy wi the round face was driving a white Toyota suv.
Same story just happened in Leeds, England, I gave him 220 pounds and he gave me a fake jacket, I believe he will be caught and never meet his family.
Same here in Toronto 2022. Changed company to superlative fashion. Yoked 1600 cad out of me. Really regret and feel dumb. I even raise the withdrawal limit and took cash twice for him.
I lost €300 in Den Haag yesterday with fake jackets. I got his photo. He also told me the same story to find airport and bla bla. But I was so stupid to give him money for buying a gift to her daughter.
Happened to me just yesterday , lost about 1000 USD - same bla bla bla - same guy in the pic but he had a patch - it happened so quickly - in return i got 2 Suits , 4 perfumes and 2 watches , probably are fake but the deal overall is not bad.
Fake card going by the name of Marco Della Valle - note he have a sidekick driver.
How come he been roaming the world for years and never caught ?!
Also scammed
Did you make complaint to police station ?
Also scammed in dxb
Did you make complaint to police station ?
Yesterday 11 July 2022, he was operating in Richmond, SW London. He's quite convincing, very friendly and complimentary. Fortunately I was in a hurry so not inclined to listen to the full spiel. Driving around in a small blue hatchback. Same story.. on his way to the airport, sat nav not working, a director of Armani in Milan and Dubai. Samples in the back which he gets taxed on if he takes them back to Milan... blah, blah.
This just happened to me on 16 July 2022, he approached me near British Library, wanted help with direction, and then offered some 'luxurious clothes' as collateral to borrow some money, i gave him 2000 pounds and i took a photo of his car plate, but then he deleted it when i gave him my phone to type down his personal details, i know in retrospect i was so dumb but please just be vigilant, when somethings are too good to be true it'd probably is, just think twice when any stranger ask you for money, i rmb asking him to take a photo but he gave some excuse like losing his job, the money is probably gone but hopefully anyone reading this can avoid the same mistake
Too late to see this post, I found this post after I searched for his email online, FK, I lost 3000 pounds, and now his around Glasgow. I don't think I can get the money back, guess I can only take it as a lesson.
It just happened to me today, I'm in Glasgow around the university. I trusted him and lent him 3000 pounds and he also showed me this fake business card, when I went back home I just found out he had changed the clothes, I guess I can't get the money back, hope no more people get cheated.
He's in Manchester today. Near gay's valley. I got scammed and I thought it's too late to see this.

And he try to delete his information, but I still remember the transfer card detail. here is his card information:Agostino Silvestro, sort number:23-14-70,account number: [protected].
Red FLAG!
The emporio Armani guy is in Dublin!
He asked me for direction to Airport and bla bla bcz of duty free and he is italian and needs to travel to airport.
He showed me two aramni watch for €700 each and asked me for €300 for both.
I said I don’t have at all as I spend money for rent. He asked me how much I have. I said only €50… he asked me which one do you like to buy for €50! Lol
I refused and I said sorry I don’t want it.
Once I left I typed emporio Armani wach scam on Google and thanks god I find all the information here!
Hey I got scammed by the two of them back in 2021 and I lost over £2000. I have the pictures of these two as evidence and my bank history. Would love to discuss this further! They need to be in jail for this
Just met this guy in NYC, around Columbia University.
I smelled the scam when he mentioned those clothes, and became certain when he couldn't pronounce maison kitsune though claiming he was some sort of expert in fashion.
