My name is Fatimah, and I am an owner with Exploria Resorts. My timeshare was paid up-to-date as are my maintenance fees. Although around March of last year I began receiving harassing calls from Exploria about a ridiculous assessment fee of $6,000. They stated my options were to pay or I can just give the timeshare back, not sell it back. This is problematic on so many levels. Obviously I do not have $6,000 to just hand to exploria for a made-up extortion fee. Over the course of one year I have received calls from over 40 different numbers all pertaining to extortion fees with no real reasoning.
This can't be legal, if they would like to buy my timeshare back then that is one thing but I will not be bullied into giving away my timeshare for something that I put my hard-earned money into. As of right now I
believe there is a block on my timeshare as if I owe them one brown cent there are crooks, criminals and. immoral animals as far as I'm concerned. Currently my maintenance fee still is still paid monthly via bank account.
Claimed loss: Time, and peace of mind.
Desired outcome: An apology, and for their ridiculous extortion fee to be removed and my account brought up good standing as it always has been.
