Exploria marketplace sucks
I deposited a bunch of my rewards credits for gift cards. Now 10 days later I have nothing. Have inquired three times and get the same response. Please wait 48-72 hours while our team looks into the matter. It took them a matter of 15 seconds to snatch my credits when I requested the cards now I have less credits and no cards. Can't understand what takes so long to key in a few lines and send the email!

My name is Fatimah, and I am an owner with Exploria Resorts. My timeshare was paid up-to-date as are my maintenance fees. Although around March of last year I began receiving harassing calls from Exploria about a ridiculous assessment fee of $6,000. They stated my options were to pay or I can just give the timeshare back, not sell it back. This is problematic on so many levels. Obviously I do not have $6,000 to just hand to exploria for a made-up extortion fee. Over the course of one year I have received calls from over 40 different numbers all pertaining to extortion fees with no real reasoning.
This can't be legal, if they would like to buy my timeshare back then that is one thing but I will not be bullied into giving away my timeshare for something that I put my hard-earned money into. As of right now I
believe there is a block on my timeshare as if I owe them one brown cent there are crooks, criminals and. immoral animals as far as I'm concerned. Currently my maintenance fee still is still paid monthly via bank account.

Desired outcome: An apology, and for their ridiculous extortion fee to be removed and my account brought up good standing as it always has been.

Summer Bay Timeshare properties
Summer Bay is the biggest SCAM there is! They have lied and stolen from us and still continue to not help us get out of this contract. We were told so many things that were untrue such as the maintenance fees would never rise but they in fact do EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

My family and I were convinced to sign a contract with Exploria Resorts under false pretenses, with promises of lower vacation rates and the ability to travel anywhere at any time for fraction of the cost. These promises turned out to be nothing more than outright lies, and I am deeply disturbed that the company would resort to such tactics to deceive unsuspecting customers. I am writing to you to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services that I have received from Exploria Resorts. My experience with this timeshare company has been nothing but a continuous nightmare from the moment I signed up for their services.
Exploria Resorts has been using manipulative and coercive sales tactics to bind me to their timeshare program, which I have repeatedly expressed my desire to cancel. Despite my numerous attempts to cancel my account, the company has refused to honor my request, leaving me with a financial burden that I didn't ask for and cannot afford. I've tried different sites to sell ours for $1.00 to no avail. We have sent Dr. letters stating we can not travel due to health issues, which have also been ignored.
The fact that Exploria Resorts has not canceled my account despite multiple attempts is clear evidence of an unethical business practice. This company has completely disregarded my rights as a customer by continuously ignoring my requests to cancel their services. It appears that they are only interested in securing profits at the expense of their customers' welfare.
In conclusion, I call upon the Complaints Board to take prompt and decisive action to address the unethical and manipulative tactics employed by Exploria Resorts. This company needs to be held to account for their blatant disregard for their customers' rights and welfare.

This has not been resolved
Numerous letters explaining the high pressure sales that talked us into buying this Timeshare. Also letters from our doctors saying we are unable to travel, including driving more than 20 miles. When we were able to travel, we tried several places and none were ever available except in the Florida resort we stayed in & bought this timeshare. We've tried their sites Exploria said we could sell the Timeshare & couldn't even give it away. It's just a fraud and we want to give it back to them. Please help. We've contacted the ARDA, etc. with no resolution.

For over a year now, we have been trying to cancel this timeshare and have found no resolution to our problem. We have reached out to the resort, contacted our Attorney General, and now we are sharing information with the expectation that the resort will provide a fair and satisfactory solution. It is unacceptable that we have been paying fees for a timeshare that we can no longer use. We have found it impossible to enjoy any peaceful vacation due to the constant harassment of salespeople trying to push us to buy more. These salespeople are relentless and they have made our experience with your company a nightmare. We have also encountered serious health issues that make traveling difficult and we are not interested in going far from home at this point in our lives. Our fixed income is being eaten away by the cost of this timeshare and it is an enormous burden on us. We are not using the timeshare yet we are still paying the fees. Not only am I being charged a huge assessment fee of $9,538 but as usual our regular maintenance fee has increased %10. Now if they are collecting this from all of their members without any explanation, that seems like a huge sum of money they will be collecting without any accountability. I am constantly calling to speak with someone about the matter and the call times are endless, they don't call back, they say they will get back to me, they never do. First off this person copied my complaint letter on this site and I don't appreciate that. Write your own letter in your own words. Secondly get a contract lawyer because they have broken their terms per the agreement. This is fraud.
Same with me - was just given an additional assessment of $7,200 for 2024 with no justification.

I am writing this complaint against exploria and their predatory, dishonest and money extorting processes. I was an owner with Fairway and Tree Tops almost thirty years prior to exploria taking over the property, at which time I held no mortgage. In spite of their aggressive attempts to sell exploria, I was steadfast that I would not sign and that was due to the diamond dripping saleslady's response after I told her taking out another mortgage would make me have to choose between feeding my daughter and paying them. She responded my daughter was young and probably wouldn't notice smaller portions. I realized then and there they were nothing but a cash grab. It gets so much worse. The last "owner's vacation" marketing trip resulted in the salesman yelling, screaming and threatening me. my credit score and ability to purchase a home, car or any major purchase in the future. After the initial friendly down home façade was removed, he was cruel, rude and condescending. I filed a complaint with the PA OAG, of course they lied and refused to comply any further. They refused to provide my contract and now they are asking for a special assessment almost 10K which as a non-exploria owner I should not be responsible for. This company need a forensic accounting audit, I believe there is money mismanagement, fraudulent practices and owner abuse.

They are unreal last assessment was during covid now one during Christmas/new years, I think the CEO is the actual scrooge. My experience with this company has been nothing but problems. From the moment we were tricked and deceived into purchasing this so-called vacation product, we have been plagued with very high costs, a lack of availability, and a complete disregard for our needs as customers. I am very upset with Exploria Resorts and the way that my concerns and complaints have been handled. Despite numerous attempts to voice my grievances and seek help, I have been met with nothing but indifference, and I have come to the conclusion that this organization does not value its customers or their well-being.
