Microtel Inn and Suites

I stayed in room 205 on Thursday 11/5 and woke up in the middle of the night and found bed bugs crawling in our bed and all over the pillows. We packed up everything ASAP and checked out. Front desk told us she was the only employee in the whole building and there was nothing she could do to help us and wouldn’t document anything said no one could help me but if I called first thing the next morning management would be there at 8:30 and promised an immediate refund. She wrote a note on our check out sheet and signed that we left due to bed bugs, called next day and front desk said they weren’t sure why anyone would tell me to call that day bc again management wasn’t available and nothing they could do to help me. Told me to email customer service instead which I did. I still have called back EVERY SINGLE DAY for a week now! Each time someone tells me management isn’t available they can’t do anything to help me, email or try again tomorrow. Getting nowhere. Still no response or money back. Had my boyfriend try calling for me today because I work full time and can’t call all day every day. First time he’s told due to privacy they can’t help him. Second time today a new person tells him they can help him even tho they’re not management but said there’s absolutely nothing in their system on record of our complaint or what happened so there’s nothing they can do. Said to again email. No one will take my name and number down and I’ve called every single day for a week straight. Finally got an email back today from some customer service and they said they’d forward my complaint to the hotel and I can expect a response by 11/23. I don’t understand this! I was promised an immediate refund because BED BUGS is a serious issue! 7 days later I’m getting no response and still told my message will be forwarded to someone. The front desk told me that email address already was management who could respond and that they check emails daily. That’s definitely not the case. I spent that entire night at the laundromat washing and drying all of my belongings and spent well over $30 to do this! Plus had to treat my entire car and two pairs of my shoes were completely ruined by the heat treatment for the bed bugs! I lost so much money because of this and couldn’t even go home until this was all done! I just want my money back. We left at 1:30 in the middle of the night and our entire trip was ruined by something so unbelievably disgusting. Even tho I emailed a picture of the mattress with bed bugs I was still told they have no record of my complaint or any documentation of what happened. I shouldn’t have to wait until 11/23 to get a response when I’ve been trying a week now. I need my money back!
