Fence outlet installers were polite, professional and practiced the company's social distancing procedures
Fence outlet installers were polite, professional and practiced the company's social distancing procedures. My new fence went up within the time frame they said it would. One of my sprinkler heads were outside the fence. They gave me a time to check it out. They were on time and quickly fixed the issue. Great company!
Fence Outlet sold me a gate that does not fit correctly
Fence Outlet sold me a gate that does not fit correctly. There is not enough room for them to install the latch. I have to lift up on the gate and push to get it to barely close, very tight fit. Yesterday, Steve called to ask me to give permission to allow the gate post on the right side to be moved forward 3 inches. I did not give permission because the gate would not be square with the house. Then he wanted to take out my post and use my neighbor's post. I did not give permission. Then, he asked me to allow him to install a smaller post next to the house. I did not give permission. Why sell me a gate that does not fit. I asked to have the gate adjusted and made smaller. It makes no sense that a company would install a gate that does not fit correctly. Steve is very unprofessional, I have numerous text messages from Steve. One of which states, " I'm really confused as what the problem is? I've given you 3 options and you have said no to all of them. This isn't the first time thus has happened and when it does, there's usually a financial issue and customers just don't want to pay the balance. If that's the case, we will work with you?" I definitely have no financial problem! I just want Fence Outlet to install a gate that fits! I am a returning customer, and have purchased two other fences with Fence Outlet. Buyer beware!

Signed the contract on May 15 and paid 1/2 of the monies
Signed the contract on May 15 and paid 1/2 of the monies. Was told that fence should be installed in about 2 weeks. No contact from them at all and about after 3 weeks I contacted them to get a status update and was told they are working on it. Once again a couple of weeks go by and no contact from them again, so I contact them and was told that someone from scheduling would contact me within 24 hours. 5 days later I had to contact them again at which point they tell me that the rails need to be special ordered and its gonna take another 2 weeks. So 2 weeks go by and no contact from them so my husband went to the business, after calling every phone number on the list with no success of anyone answering, and was told that it would be in on the truck tomorrow. Well tomorrow and the next day came with no contact from them. My husband calls them and was told that it did not come in on the truck and we would have to wait another 5 days to see if it comes in on that truck. In the meantime, it has now been over 6 weeks and no fence scheduled for install. I have every email communication with them and the GM and Customer Service Manager were copied on correspondence and have not even replied or even given an apology for the delay. They misrepresented theirselves as far as I am concerned. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

*Warning to all future clients* Do not do business with Fence Outlet
Warning to all future clientsDo not do business with Fence Outlet. Doing business with Fence Outlet was by far the biggest mistake of 2020. I've never seen a company so disorganized and unprofessional, I'm surprised that they're still in business with the low quality service they provide. My awful experience with Fence outlet mistake filled company can be summarized into three nightmare events. Fence Installation Issues: I experienced Fence outlet's chaotic install dates twice in this process. Starting with the first installation, Fence Outlet and I agreed on an install date that allowed me to stay home from work. However day off the installation they called me to cancel the installation. I had to beg and [censored] as I have a tight sequence of events for my pool that would only be able to happen when the fence was complete. They agreed to come and install my fence on the day they previously agreed to. Post installation, I received an out of use violation from my HOA, because the fence originally installed by Fence Outlet was not what I originally ordered, and therefore out of line with my HOA guidelines. I had to call and rescheduled so they can replace my entire fence. This completely disrupted the installation and completion of my pool. Post Fence Installation: Once my fence was installed, I later learned my pool does not have the standard magnetic latch as common with most pool fences. This is a big no no if you have kids. This is totally out of line from what I ordered, and in a series of unfortunate events this could be the last safety mechanism preventing a small child from drowning. Fence Outlet is so out of tune with what they're customers needs are that they might as well sell chopsticks as a fence. Overall communication with Fence Outlet is abysmal, better options would be with three blind mice or a cage of monkeys. By now they've received my final payment and have flagged my number as customer who wants what they paid for. Once I got a employees contact information they chose to ignore directly ignore my phone calls. When calling the main business phone, I got an answer only to be left on hold until I was forced to give up. This is not an ethical or moral way of doing business. Fence Outlet does not have the accountability for mediocre customer service. To all readers of this review, you will only be happy with Fence Outlet if you let them walk all over you and your wallet. Overall, Fence Outlet is an extremely unprofessional and incompetent company. How would you feel to agree on something, and pay for it in full only to receive an inferior product and service? Only way to make them learn is avoid doing business with them at all costs.

Fence outlet accepted my deposit and scheduled an installation but then refused to install the fence
Fence outlet accepted my deposit and scheduled an installation but then refused to install the fence. Stating company policy for magna latches. Fence outlet knew that my HOA required only one type of fence. They took my deposit and scheduled the installation. They then did not show up for the install. I didn't receive notification about the install cancellation until end of that day. The contact at Fence Outlet was rude and had no knowledge of city or county regulations about fences. She stated that without selling me additional magna locks that they couldn't install. I agreed to install and then I was told they wouldn't do it because of no pool screen over my pool. They stated it was a company policy. No information was provided before hand. I requested an immediate refund and was told they would think about it.

Destroyed data cable (clearly marked)
Destroyed data cable (clearly marked). Won't take calls or coordinate to make right. While the gentlemen who showed up to perform the work arrived on time and were polite, and did a fine job (for the most part) of installing the fence the poor rating is due to them hitting a (VERY) well marked data cable in my yard. I asked that they have a manager reach out to me as it will require several hundred dollars and several hours of work to repair. I also reached out to the estimator I had dealt with. The manager did call, but at the very moment their foreman had questions. I asked if we could speak again in 15 minutes. He agreed. I then called 4 more times throughout the day trying to get ahold of him as well as reached back out to the estimator. It has been 6 days since the install and I have not heard from him. I have continued to reach out for a resolution. Overall the fence is as expected and I will be happy to modify the review if the company reaches out and makes arrangements to correct their damage.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. They put the fence over the sprinkler line and probably damage it. Water is overflowing. Horrible customer service. I would totally not recommend this company. First they gave false advertisement. The person that went to the house told me that their tan fence is always available unlike any other company. ThAt is all lies.. My tan fence was back ordered. Once we signed the contract he doesnt care anymore. They did not update me so I called the office. The lady in the office was nice to update me. They also messed up my sprinkler and refused to fix it. The assistant manager called me and said that the sprinkler insurance won't cover it because the pipe is not damage. How do they know if the pipe is not damage if they did not even care to check it. He said that it's a new construction house and I could have the builder fix it. They never even knock or notify us that they are in our backyard doing the fence. If I only knew that they would create problem to my sprinklers I won't have them put the fence.

Gate was built heavily on a slope with no security
Gate was built heavily on a slope with no security. The cement put on the slope is not even and the gate slides with velocity with no support We contact them with this issue many many times via phone and email. We needed a 3rd wheel to the gate thinking it was the the only issue they contact us after the one year warranty expired. We paid so much money forafor this custom job its an unfinished job it's still giving me problems til this day. We contact many fence companies they come out here and they don't want to touch the issue once we mention fence outlet did this job. What we was told was the cement for the gate was supposed to be don't evenly not uneven going with the hill . No machine will be able to hold the weight of that gate with slide. What is more upsetting is they state they won't touch gate they built because there was a machine installed . Again due to the heaviest of the gate that has fracture my arm a few times. It's very upsetting to had paid so much money for a purpose anduand experience a unsatisfactory job. Fence outlet 9671 S.Orange Blossom Trl [protected] Contract # *** Paid $3100

Cancelled fence prior to instillation, however company rep

June 26, John stated that he was receiving a high volume of emails and it was difficult for him to keep up, and he will check on my cancellation as soon as he can. June 29 emailed John stating that I still have not heard from him regarding my cancellation. He replied and stated that he is still having trouble finding my file but he haven't forgotten. June 30 arrived home from work and installers were installing the fence. No one phoned to set up an appointment, no one addressed my cancellation. Tried to talk to installers but they only spoke spanish. Phoned John and emailed John to let him know what was happening. He called me back at the end of the day when the fence was already installed. I still have all the time stamped emails, John should also have them.

Fence Outlet fence installers are not professionals
Fence Outlet fence installers are not professionals. Poor quality in there work will shorten the life span of there fence. I purchased my fence through Fence Outlet located in Orlando on September 10th. The installation date was September 18th. There were issues from the minute they arrived. There was a lack of communication from the Fence Outlet off to the installation crew as to what was actually happen. When I call Fence Outlet to tell them my concerns I was told that this was there best crew and I had nothing to worry about. They finished the installation at 9:30 at night. When I went out to inspect it the following morning there where issues. Gate swings were installed in the wrong direction, fence was turned back into the house too short, Scratches and cuts in the fence. I photographed the issues and emailed them the 21st. They sent out a quality control technician to look at the issues as well as inspect the entire installation. It took them 3 different times to complete the work for the initial issues. Then came the first mild storm, A top rail came out and you could see it had broke where the rail sticks into the post. Fence Outlet told me that they don't warranty weather related issues, but would take care of it just this one time. I temporarily put the rail back into the post and noticed that it only went into the post about a quarter of an inch and had broken where they inserted a screw to keep the rail in place. This rail also did not have the locking tabs that keep it in place as it was manufactured with. It is my understanding that those tabs are there to keep the rails in the post while allowing the rails to move with the expansion and contraction of the fence. The screws are put in as an added protection. I got to thinking and decided to look into the rest of the posts and see if this happened any where else. to my surprise and dismay, this issue repeats itself in multiple locations. I also noted additional holes in the top rails, bottom rails that were cut and missing there tabs as well as trash and cut pieces of fencing in the posts. I again took photos of the problems. I sent another email with the photos attached to Fence Outlet and set up a time to meet with there Michael B. We met on December 1st and walked the fence. He did not look into a single post. He tried to insist that the tabs in the lower rails were not needed and that the fence was installed correctly. He said that they would discuss it at the office and get back with me. I told him that I would put together a drawing and number each post and picture accordingly. He said that that would be fine and they would get back with me later in the week. The following day I emailed him asking for a construction drawing that shows that the bottom rail tabs were not needed and the wind load testing report that would also state if the bottom tabs were installed for that test. I was told that they have no construction drawings that show how the fence is to be constructed and they have not wind load testing for there 6 foot fencing that they manufacture and sell. I was also told that they will only replace 3 of the 16 top rails that were damaged during there installation, none of the 18 bottom rails that have no tabs and are either cut too short or too long and are touching each other and wont allow for expansion and contraction of the fence and that they will do there best to get the garbage and debris out of the posts, but not all of it. These issues will cause this fence to fail prematurely and they only warranty the installation for 1 year.

It's nearing 12:00
It's nearing 12:00. A representative from Fence Outlet was supposed to be here between 8-10 to fix damage they did over four weeks ago. Our new fence is beautiful. As far as the product goes, Fence Outlet is spot on. Customer service, however, is an entirely different beast. Perhaps this comes when you contract out your work instead of having your own team doing the install. Here is our story: Fence Outlet came to remove the our old fence and install a new one on July 13. We have an oddly shaped backyard and have seven backyard neighbors. One of those neighbors (Lot 117, to the right of our house) had a new fence installed a few weeks prior. She replaced all sides of her backyard fence, and it is now completely on her property. If you open the attached photo of the survey, the issue came with the fence that runs behind our property and behind Lot 117. Our survey clearly states that it is on our property (Lot 116). Lot 117's survey stated that the fence is clearly on Lot 108's property. This is even represented on the survey: the survey shows two separate fences that do not join (see the line separating Lot 117 and Lot 108 does not meet up with the line representing the fence separating Lot 116 and Lot 108. However, the fence was one continuous straight wood fence. When Lot 117 installed her new fence, as the fence on Lot 108 was listed on their property, that fence was left up (double fence: wood for Lot 108 and new vinyl for Lot 117). Here is what should have happened: The small portion of wood fence on Lot 108 should have been left alone. Our new fence was to be attached to the new corner post installed on Lot 117. Removal of the wood fence should have started with Lot 109 and continued to Lot 110 and then around the corner. Once the contractor started removing the wood fence on Lot 108, he clearly began to question his decision because he left a good two and a half to three feet of fence up, from the corner of where Lot 117 meets Lot 108, going in the direction of Lot 109. The owner of Lot 108 discovered that her fence had been taken down, comes over to our house, and we start working with the contractor. The contractor insists that the he removed what was marked on the survey and what the permit said he can remove (once again, a survey issue)...but he didn't remove all of it. Like I said, he left nearly a three foot piece of the old fence on Lot 108. We finally convince the contractor to remove the cut and damaged fence pieces (about 12 feet) from the trailer and leave them on our front yard so that we can try to make amends with our backyard neighbor in Lot 108. Enter in FOUR WEEKS of calls to a variety of managers and customer service people at Fence Outlet trying to come up with a solution. We have even offered to pay for the solution. We had the old fence pieces leaned against our house for THREE WEEKS waiting for Fence Outlet to make the decision to do the right thing. Fence Outlet called yesterday, advising they would come and replace the 11 feet of missing fence this morning, that they would be here between 8 and 10, and that it would cost us $100. And it is now noon. Our sales guy was FANTASTIC. Everyone we have spoken with since then is awful. No one ever calls back the same day that we leave a message. And here we are FOUR WEEKS after the incident, still waiting for someone to show up. Here's the thing: yes, clearly something wonky happened with surveys. A logical mind could clearly see that there was no reason to remove that portion of the fence AND the contractor stopped removing it once he realized he was making a mistake. The completely INABILITY for Fence Outlet to resolve this issue in a timely matter, their inability to return phone calls, is simply inexcusable. I've also uploaded photos from Lot 108.

Fence Outlet never completed the installation of our fence according to contracted
Fence Outlet never completed the installation of our fence according to contracted . Our contract was signed. I told the them. They did nothing. Called customer service countless times and it was the worst. They kept giving us the run around when it would be installed. Never finished the job. I told them countless times that I would pay the balance when the job was complete. They said they would fix the problems, and complete the job. They never fixed the problems. They put in a gate, it had to fixed by another company. They installed a gate opener it had to be removed. And, I had to hire another gate company. I had to hire an electrical company for $1200.00 to run power to the gate. They installed a mag lock on the gate, without it being hooked up to electrical power. They hooked it up to the batteries in the gate opener, and it shorted the batteries out twice. I was told hey fired the person who worked for them who installed the gate opener. It stated in the installation manual, not to hook up mag lock for gate to batteries. They said they would give us a discount do to all the problems we had with this company. Then they said, no discount, and would only fix, and complete the insulation unless we paid them in full.It needed to be inspected by the city, it had not been inspected yet. Then the put a lean on my house. I would of gladly paid them if they finished the job. They wanted us to pay before the city inspected the job. I told them the six months the city gave to complete the job had passed. and they need to contact the city, and get new permit. I was told they fired Frank S, their expert who hooked up the gate that shorted out. The people who work for this company that came out to fix the gate were scared of the people who employed them, and were afraid of getting fired. This company is a nightmare. I told them I wanted this project to be completed as soon as possible. They had to get a second permit after six months, because it took over six months for them to try and complete the job. Then they failed to tell the inspector that the job was never completed. They put a lean on my house, and never completed the job. The salesman never ordered the correct parts to install the fence. The installers had to come back countless times. They put the gate on backwards. I had to hire another gate company to fix it. I told them that the gate was backwards. To this day they never glued the caps on the fence poles, 3 of them are missing. And, I keep finding them on the ground. I had to get two trees removed, they said were not in the way, cost me $750, and delayed the job. After about eight (8) months, they paid for a new permit from the city to complete the job. Then never completed the job, and put a lean on my house. I told them complete the job, and we will be happy to pay you. This has caused my self, and my mother who is 90 years old untold aggravation, and stress. What a nightmare. Now I am probably going to have to hire a law firm to straighten out this mess. I do not know why we had so so many problems with this company. I have countless e-mails, and phone calls to them. When you call them, most of the time there is no one to answer the phone, or they keep telling you talk to another person. I told them I did not want to deal with the manager at the North Port store anymore. He was rude, and arrogant. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It is an on going nightmare, that still has not ended in over 18 months. I will have to hire another company to fix what is wrong, and document the problems, and then contact the city, and document that the job was not completed when they asked the city to inspect it. When will this nightmare end? I need to file a complaint to Florida department of agriculture, and consumer services about the Fence outlet scam: Sign a contract, then never complete the job, then put a lean on the persons house. Tell the city the job was completed, when it was not. Then have to hire a law firm probably to straighten this out. What a nightmare.
