Filter Queen poor quality

I bought a filter queen vacuum in november of 2008 and have had a problem every year with it since. I learned to never buy from a door to door vacuum salesman. We have had to order parts within one year of the purchase. They started off as small parts and just grew from there. For example. . . Seals to the canister and wand, then the wand and power head melted the electrical connection together, (Fire hazard) and now they say my switch and my cord are bad to the point of replacement. (Fire hazard again) all these things have been a problem, which i do expect more to come! I want people to know that it takes them minimum of 21 days to receive, replace and ship back every time! Complete piece of junk! Do not buy!

To Reviewer 66 the legal scam that the customer listed may have been regarding to the 10 days to view and decide on the units. I had a similar event happen where the sales rep stated in front of witnesses that I had 16 days to use/decide on the units then the manager talked down to me and laughed saying I only had 3 days. Looks like their employees do the lying to get you tied into the contract then when you decide right after the 3 days you are out of luck. They will harm your credit and you can't sale it for any amount close to what you paid for. It is actually a waste of time and money on Filter Queen units. Now with the recall I will have to check in on that more.

Salesman came to my house and I purchased a vacuum & 2 defenders. He advised me that the filters would have to be changed annually at a cost of $280.00 which I felt was expensive but did agree to the charge. When I got a call from their warranty department the advised me that the annual charge for replacement filter was $650.00. At that point I requested to have the machines picke-up and have my money returned, but I was advised that I only had 10 days to do so and the 10 days had passed. Quite the scam. They wait 30 days to call you and when you find out that the salesman misled you, all they say is that it!s to late.

I would not advise anyone to deal with Filter Queen as they are in my opinion a legal scam and the company has no integrity whatsoever.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "legal scam". We bought a vacuum and an air purifier and the price for the filters was exactly what the salesman told us. They were on the expensive side, but they do seem to work as we have less dust and allergy outbreaks in our house. I really love the vacuum!

I also have a Filter Queen purchased in the later part of 2008. Almost a year ago I started having to move the handle from side to side in order to keep power flowing to the power head. Now that I'm digging into the problem, I noticed that there has been arcing between the flexible hose and the wand. I assume if I keep using it then it will melt like yours did. That kind of problem should be fixed for FREE. That is a defect and should be part of a recall. They are telling me that it might be being caused by the master switch, but they still want to charge me to fix it. Maybe their old machines were quality vacuums, but NOT the newer ones.

The wand and attachments are under warranty for two years the main unit is 5 years there should be a service rep in your area to get these parts never order filters or parts online they are not the same as the originals. I have had my filter queen for more than 12 years and love it like anything expensive you need to do proper maintenance and take care of your investment.also i dont see how the live rubber seal to the canister could fail and there.are no seals to the wand it makes me wonder if you actually have a filterqueen or some knock off.

Filter Queen devious deceptive sales tactics

As is consistent with the complaints filed on the "[redacted]" site, these clowns lie through their teeth (sweet young thing "Karen" on the phone assuring that you've been selected based on a previous "survey" she conducted for a new product development) in order to get in the door. They also offer a number of "free gifts" for your time in participating in their focus group - none of which actually materialize.

All they are trying to do is sell you a (very pricey) vacuum cleaner and/or home air purifier or whatever else based on the fact that your family is in peril because the air in your house is putrid. These Bozos make Amway look like Suzie Creamcheese!

FilterQueen is by far one of the best engineered machines made to pick up dirt. It does it's job the first time, unlike other machines out there. Most people fail to, or simply do not understand how a vacuum works. The Majestic was ahead of its time and outperforms every brand. They built a machine that is mindful of its homeowner. Great materials, simple design and above all filtration. Direct sales is the only way for this machine to prove its value. It competes against the machine you own. An in home demonstration provides the research you need to make a sound decision. The salespeople present a problem- your current cleaning tool and they give you a solution. One which is expensive upfront but worth every dollar. For most of the people here, complaining about nothing but the salesperson, I'm sorry on behalf of them as they too get frustrated with you, just as you do with them. Most of these salesmen believe in the product more than they do in the person they've married! They see the machine in action 3-4 times a day- everyday and it creates a lot of passion. I am a mechanical engineer, I could build this machine for much less but guess what? I won't, and neither will you. Each and all of us buy products from Big box, department and specialty stores, unaware of the price mark ups. Actually, no one questions sale prices and discounts given in stores, why? They just walk past an item, especially ones hardly any need for- see that it's on sale and boom- transaction approved. Your house is their showroom, better than any! They make their points and you agree. If the price is within your means, pay for it or else you will in other aspects of your life. It is true, we are living more indoors than ever before, it's as good a time as any to invest in a good cleaner. Kids are more asthmatic than ever before, and think long and hard how many hours they spend indoors. It's important, stop thinking this is the most insignificant appliance in your life...it's quite the opposite. People spend money on the newest IPhones, TV's, nails and lashes, none of those things will benefit your children or yourselves. 3 grand in the grand scheme of things is nothing for a homeowner. Dirt should not be spewing out of a vacuum, "good enough" should not be acceptable. Have you ever wondered why other vacuums have 2-3-4-5 filters? The mass produced vacuums have turned you against your own well being. It's quite sad.
As for people who claim they scam etc. They offer you a gift, you do agree over the phone to see their products, then act surprised when they show up. Nothing in this world is free folks. Give and take. Simple.

Pros: Airflow (It is the sole reason why a machine continues to pick up) / Centrifugal force / 1 Filter Cone (which is all it needs)
Cons: Not enough positive representation. When I retire, I may work for you.

The above descriptions of operations is pretty close. Filter Queen has been around for 5 or 6 decades. They did have their call crew do the online survey and if positive did say the potential customer would receive a free gift if they would see a demonstration. I used to be a demonstrator of the product. By the way, the customer had their choice of three items to keep. We went through everything, prices, etc., we were totally upfront. We did not employ high pressure, just gave the information. My daughter worked for a competitor prior to that, and it was very high tactics. It is also a well known product. I quit after three months, cause of the size of my territory. Kind of hard when it was four hours round trip some days. I will say, that my daughter has had one for 10 years now, with six kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats and is still going strong, when cheaper vacuums have failed with in a couple months. The air purifier is the same way. It keeps on a working. Unfortunately, the consumer does not want direct selling any more... But again, this product has been around for decades and we sure have gotten our monies worth.

Filter Queen operates like that through all their sub companies. They will call you and ask to do a survey on the air quality/pollution in your area. The "survey" is to cover their behind if you are on a Do Not Call List. Also, the last two questions are to see if you qualify for a demo. They want to make sure you are an employed/retired homeowner. If you say yes, then in two days they will call you to say you won a prize. Now, in order to get the prize (usually a junky BBQ set) then you have to agree to a 90 min high pressure sales pitch for a vacuum cleaner.

Filter Queen over inflated cost

Coastal Aire,
They are Con artist's, the cost of the Air filter system canister is $1000. ea.
On E-Bay the same thing cost around $100.00, same manufacture (1, ooo %) mark up!
They pray on the unsuspecting, on elderly, handicapped low income people.
U could not sell the stuff back to them for what the made u pay for them!
they are not willing to give back MONEY I payed with in the (three day period).

advice: stay a way from: Traveling sales people ( period).

Filter Queen poor customer service

Was suppose to receive 2 free gifts for letting them come to my house. After several weeks of not receiving the gifts, I called. They said they will send them right away. After 4 more weeks, I called back and left a message with the secretary. No call back or anything. Finally, after 17 weeks and having not received a damn thing, I called and talked to a sales rep. He said the gifts were no longer available. So, I spent (haven't paid yet) $1575 without having received my PROMISED free gifts. Needless to say, I won't be paying for the free vacuum cleaner that I now have.

To Melissa B-> I used to work here and its a crock of crap... They lady that teaches you "holly" is a joke... And April is too, kind of a ###... The whole business is! Its also commission based which isn't bad (If you can lie to people and charge them a buttload of money for something fisher price could make) Maybe you guys could sign up for drama camp and fake your way through that too.. LOL Its business I get it, but word of mouth is how your business thrives.. Word of mouth is how your business dies.. I did like the eltric volts that we got show in the air purifier how it zaps the germs in the air.. quite cool, but faulty. Overall products suck but it was a nice idea to make a quick buck.. Who is Aprils husband again that 50 yr old D.M. or something

Dear Annonono,

I have worked for April Mason for years. Not only dose she take care of us how a boss is suppose too, she out works us all. Still has time for her family and is up 3 nights a week at a womens shelter helping them.
She tells people when they first start that this is not for every one and its a blessing I think that you did not come in.

And for the picture it is when she took all of us and our family to Flordia for a vacation, and that pictures was taken when she was not ready.

The website also was done by her kid and she was happy, that she left it.

It is amazing that there are many websites that will find the few negative people but, I cannot find any that are there for people that call and talk to her because they love her.

So, why are people going to take advive from some one that dose not work and sounds like a 14 year old.

WOW i actually emailed this April person from an ad on craigslist, got a call back for an interview and was ..EXCITED? give me a break. I've looked up and down the internet reading all the information i could on "greater air michigan" and you know what i found? An unprofessional Greater Air website that was completely half assed and every other link that came up was guess what? Complaints and warnings from people who were scammed either by getting conned into buying a product or conned by thinking they could sell one. AT LEAST SOME PEOPLE ARE HONEST. This [censor] really makes me sick. Who does this April person think she is? From the pictures just another rich broad who doesn't give a damn if she's taking your hard earned money. oh yeah and april put a shirt on it is supposed to be a business website, not facebook where you post pictures of your boobs hanging out and make up melting off.

I am truly sorry for any inconievce that has happen.

Filter Queen job scam alert

After going online and looking up this company's name (filter Queen) or rather the products sold by the franchise company I found it to be a possible job scam. The parent company is filter queen which sells some type of air purification system and other similar products. However, I urge people and consumers to look at other Internet sites that have similar complaints about this company and spin off companies that sell filter queen products. The company at this address is called DSL Solutions and is located near Papa Johns in this business park area. I had look at a job there and had a similar situation with other people that had posted complaints online about the company trying to get you to sell products. The problem that tipped me off is that you don't get paid for three days of trading and the person conducting the interview had it in a huge group of around 50 people. Then said if you wanted the job to call him in a 20 minute time slot mine was around 6:10 to 6:30. The job was recently posted in the AJC jobs section as a customer service job paying 15$ an hour (when you go there they say they pay 20$ an hour at the mass job interview) and in the company's pollution control division. It was not worth the trip to go and hear this guy speak, in all reality it is probably to good to be true.

As a former independent contractor for a dealership that is no longer in business, I would hope that these practices are no longer happening because there were job opportunities presented in these meetings that sounded as if you were going to be an employee but your weren't. After starting a blog on another site 20 years ago, we hope that the actions were taken seriously by Filter Queen as they could have resulted in a class action lawsuit for back wages as well as back taxes.

These contracts that independent agents were signing didn't make them an employee yet they were told to be in the office everyday for a meeting while waiting to be assigned a call to do a demonstration which was a serious labor violation that would imply you are employee per IRS guidelines.

If anyone does witness any of this or did sign a contract that is still binding for your position, It should immediately be reported to Filter Queen, you local state employment office, as well as the IRS for further legal action if Filter Queen refuses to pursue the matter.

Filter Queen high pressure sale

We got a scratch off card in the mail. I scratched it off and got 4 kings and a 7.. I decided to call the number to see what I had won. Teresa had told me that in order to determine what we had won, we would have to listen to a 45 minute presentation. She stated how they don't do any commercial advertising, how they just have people come in and do presentations. And that me and my husband had to be together. So apparently my Hubby made the appointment, since his friends had done the same thing.. So again Teresa had told me that we wouldn't have to buy it just listen to the presentation and then we would get our free prize.

So we had the guy come. They told us it would only be like 45 minutes. It was more like 2 hours. Not my idea of fun. Coming home from work to hear some guy ramble on and on about this vacuum and defender. He told us that it would be in total of $2750. But he was sure he could talk to his manager and see if he could get 800 off instead of 400. So then we ask him about the Knives we are supposed to get. Hes like uhm, well if you qualify and get one, I'll bring those out when I bring you your set. Are you serious?

Don't be fooled. This isn't a presentation its a high pressure sales pitch! And you won't get any prize!
You need to really research this product and their sales pitch before you can buy anything.. Plus you can get it on ebay for cheaper.
And at the end of his presentation he will ask you for 10-20 people who you think would be interested in this product..

I have both the Filter Queen Vacuum and the Air purifier. They are good products. Yes I do agree that it’s pressure sales.
What bothers me is that they have terrible customer service! I’ve order the vacuum filters over the phone 2 weeks ago and still haven’t got it! Somehow the people in shipping did not ship it out. Not my fault! Now I have complany coming over the best they can do is come by at 8pm, because the sales guy said he’s not going to loose money and swing by during the day. Company is coming at 3pm.
It’s the bottom dollar with these guys.
I got so upset I am on the prepayment plan for their filters now I’m just going to cancel!
More yet they are terrible getting back to you!
There’s more, When I called in the reception she put me on hold and connected me with another customer on hold; really! And when I called back the receptionist told me that she didn’t have the other customer number to call back! What that’s not my fault!
It was bad experience on top of bad experiences.
At the end of the day, I didn’t get my filters I’ve ordered 2 weeks ago or more, my carpets look rough, and the sales guy will try his best to deliver it at 8pm (that’s so he won’t loose sales). Buddy you’ve lost me as a customer!
Please don’t buy a Filter Queen, they are not professional and they are only after the $. They don’t appreciate the customer. Plus who needs the pressure. Save your money.
Now I’m just rather buy from Amazon they sell the filters hassle free. Even if my vacuum break I’ll buy a Dyson! Don’t care about your warranty Filter Queen! You don’t care about the people who buy from you!

On December 17, I replied to a postcard received from Olympic Air Solutions to inquire of a prize I won. Prizes included a kitchen serving set, tickets to a Green Bay Packers game, a digital camera, Apple iPod Touch and a top prize of $10, 000. I was informed that I won, but my card must be verified by an agent of the company. As part of the verification process, I was asked to view a FilterQueen Indoor Air Quality System. The representative on the phone stated the demonstration was brief. Fair enough. I weighed out the chance to win $10, 000 with maybe a half hour of my time. An appointment was set up for an afternoon visit.

Shortly before the scheduled visit, I received a phone call from a sales manager informing me the sales person was running late and if I would be o.k. postponing my appointment by one hour. One hour turned into two and a half hours. After waiting patiently for two and a half hours past the scheduled visit, the sales person appears. After verification of prize card, I was presented with an 18 piece BBQ set and asked to participate in a product demonstration.

The demonstration included the Defender and the Majestic. Both products were of good quality and the salesperson did a fine job with the demonstration. After a one hour and forty five minute presentation, I was ask to answer a few questions regarding the demonstration and the products. I made it very clear I was not interested in making a purchase. It did not matter how much the products cost, I was not in the market to purchase an air purifier or a vacuum cleaner. However, the salesperson was here to do his job, so I patiently listened as the price of the combo was presented.

The Defender was listed at $998. The Majestic was $2, 998. After quickly stating “NO”, the salesperson called his manager. There was a back and forth conversation between the sales manager and the salesperson. The sales manager would dictate to the salesperson a series of demeaning questions such as “so you admit your current vacuum does not do the job the Majestic does. You prefer to live in dirt?”

After indicating if I had to choose between the Defender and the Majestic, I indicated I would choose the Majestic but stressed again I was not interested in either product. The price dropped from $2, 998 to $2, 600 to $2, 200 to to $1, 500. During the entire negotiation process, I could hear the demeaning conversation taking place between the sales manager and the salesperson in order to hook me as a customer. After refusing to pay $1, 500, I heard the sales manager order the salesperson to offer a price of $1, 200 and perform fellatio on me (actual words spoken were more vulgar and offensive). Of course the salesperson, acting as a true professional, did not relay the entire message to me and was unaware that I was hearing both sides of this abrasive conversation. After rejecting the offer to pay $1, 200, a final offer of $999 was made. I quickly rejected the price of $999 and the presentation finally ended.

I am posting the report to alert other people in the community

Awe, I loved messing with these guys... listened to their presentation for about 2 hrs, had them clean my entire living room. Very excited about the whole thing. Then told them we already had a kirby guy come by and they cleaned my bedroom too. So got my other bedroom cleaned, when asked if they could run my card I told them I do not use cards only cash, and I am fresh out to the Kirby guy, then sent them on their way :) hilarious.

I got the Gold Rush scratch ticket in the mail today and of course it turned out to be a winner, go figure. Mine had a 2 and four Jacks. I noticed right away where it said on the back that the "order of winning hands does not match the order of prizes", meaning they could give you whatever the hell they wanted, most likely the cheapest item ($16 serving set), if anything at all. I wasn't going to waste my time sitting through a long presentation for something I knew I wasn't going to ever even consider buying. Companies that do in-home presentations don't sell their products in regular stores because they are usually outrageously expensive and people would just go with cheaper brands. My mom got suckered into buying a $2000 Electrolux vacuum that way and was also talked into selling them just so she could get hers for cheaper plus receive special accessories that only their representatives can get.
The scratch ticket also said on the front that it was for homeowners only, so I knew I wouldn't qualify anyway. I thought about giving the card to a friend who actually does own her home, but then decided to research FilterQueen as I had never heard of them before. I'm glad I did, I saved someone else from possibly getting scammed by this shady company.

Just discovered that my 78 year old mother was swindled by this company. She has beginning dimentia. She has been paying on a loan for 2 years now. The original loan amount was $3200.00 for 2 air-cleaners! Plus she gave them almost $4000.00 on her credit card for two "heaters". They took her fantastic Hoover as a "trade-in". She was so embarassed she hid all of these transactions for 2 years. She has been having trouble with her checkbook so I offered to help her. Thats how these fraudulent transactions were discovered. She said the 1st guy was inside her house for 4 hours, WOULD NOT LEAVE. She finally signed his paperwork just to get him to leave. Next week another guy, same company shows up with the heaters. She was never told how much they would cost. I believe that these transactions are also related to a medical alert system ("Ive fallen & cant get up" type of necklace) that she purchased by yet another door-to-door salesman. Is a cooinsidence that they ran a credit report on her the same day the loan disbursed? Highly unlikely! My mom loves scratch tickets. Thanks for giving me a clearer picture of how this SCAM started.

After reading these complaints, I setup an appointment and the manager and a sales lackey came along to the call. I had them wait in their car saying I was in an emergency phone call and gave them the 1 minute hand signal in my window every 30 mins to get them to stay saying that I'd be just off the phone.

They ended up staying 2 hours before they left without even saying good bye.

It is very much a scam. All you will "win" with 4K7 is a $16 serving set. The 4J2 is just a BBQ set. All it is to get a vacuum cleaner salesman into your house. Also, these are $3000 vacuum cleaners. They intentionally don't have the prizes and the hands match up. They do put it in very small print, but want you to think you won the grand prize. Also, if pressed, the person you call has to say they don't know what prize you won or they have to match it up with a "master key chart". That way you will let the salesman into your house. Don't do it. Also, the prizes and the hands on the back are in reverse. The $10, 000 wining hand is the 3Q, however, with the way its matched up, you'll throw away the card thinking you won the serving set. Its a complete scam all the way around.

We had the Filter Queen vacuum scammers come by door-to-door 20 years ago. Young guy said he was doing a college marketing course project, could he practice a presentation on us. He looked about 18. Let him in, half an hour of amazing claims and horrendous giant pictures of dust-mites later there's a surprise knock on the door. His "manager" with the deal of the century for us, plus all the contract forms ready to go. Being quite blunt but polite it took a further 45 minutes to get the 2 of them to leave. They couldn't believe how we were letting such a deal slip through our fingers. Scammers they were, but we got them! One of our pillows got vacuumed for free!
Now today I have 4 Kings and a 7. It seems to = a $10, 000 prize. WooHOO! Called right away and set up my appointment.

Filter Queen scam artists

A salesman came to our house, we were supposed to win a 17 piece knife set for watching the demo. We agreed to buy the machine, but my credit must have been denied because we never have heard from the guy again. When it came time to get our "prize" the salesman claims he was out of them and he would put it in the mail. We have never received it. I was willing to pay the 3000 for the vaccuum. I wish i had better credit to purchase it. But we were left with no way to contact our salesman and he kept bragging that he was getting paid 20 per hour to be there. I would at least have liked the knife set to make up for him pouring dirt all over my floor and making me listen to his scam for an hour.

I bought both the vacuum and one of the air cleaners back in 2005ish. I love mine. I use the air mover every night as my white noise in the bedroom. I use the vacuum about once a week. I can’t remember what I paid back then but it was somewhere around $1600 for the Majestic and the Defender, as I recall. They never tried to sell me on replacement filters...in fact, the demo guy gave me a huge stack of filters for free that I just recently ran out of in 2019! He didn’t high pressure me. I was won over by the demo...I did give him my old vacuum. In reading all the comments, I feel horrible for all of you who were scammed. I recommend that people NEVER sign a contract no matter how much they are pushing a 3 or 14 or 90 day return allowance. A contract is a binding agreement. If you didn’t read the fine print (which should have clearly spelled out the return process if there was one). And then if they didn’t honor what was in that agreement, take them to small claims. I live in a major city and it’s $35 to file a small claims case and another $50 to have them served. It beats losing your credit over a vacuum. For me, I chose to pay cash for mine (I had a small savings at the time and this purchase basically wiped it out), and I was super stressed about spending that amount of money when I didn’t have a lot of money to begin with...but, I was fortunate to have not had any issues with my machines. They work great. I expect to keep them both for many, many years. How much money would I have spent on vacuum cleaners over these last 15 years? About the same amount, I bet. And I have a machine that works as well today as it did when I bought it. So, for me it was a great investment. I saw it as the Cadillac of vacuum cleaners. I now see these same units sell on EBay and other places for $600 or more...so, they seem to hold their value to some degree. Good to know if I ever need to sell off some things for quick cash. I don’t know of any other vacuum cleaner that I could buy that would resell for that 15 years later. But, again, my experience wasn’t negative and the machine has worked well. It’s not perfect. Emptying it is a pain...and the canister will fall over if I yank too hard when moving around a room. It’s heavy and clunky. But, it’s also really good at getting the dirt cleaned up and still works like a charm. After reading all this, though. I’m not sure I’d want another salesman in my home pulling these shenanigans.

I was in a relationship with the President/Owner of several US & Canadian Filter Queen, Healthtek MDL, Health-Mor and I can attest to just how deceptive of a con man he is. He lives almighty high atop of his Yacht, Lavish Luxury Cars, Pristine Condos, Many houses, mainly in Vancouver. I once thought how nice of a person he was and was so proud of the successes he had accomplished. I looked to him as a mentor. However, over time it became so very clear that he has made his money scamming people out of their hard earned money. He also used several of his MANY pushy, abusive sales tactics to manipulate me. If the top is rotten to its core you can rest assured everything about this company has been built on deceit.
If anyone would like to contact me, I can be reached at sarahmalabama@gmail.com

DO NOT LET THESE GUYS INTO YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD A $3000 PRODUCT!

We were canvassed with the promise of $300 dollars worth of vouchers (ha), if we would spend 30 mins completing some market research.

Salesman turns up, he is a good sales guy and I clicked pretty much 30 mins in that it was a sales pitch but that was ok as I really liked the product.

We decided to purchase the Majestic and the Defender for a total sum of $3600(!)

We received our gift which was actually $1500 worth of vouchers. Well, it was just a website with links to supermarket circulars. Nothing I can't get with my free weekly paper or pick up in my local Walmart, Target etc. I smelt a rat!

At this point we realised we had been duped and buyers remorse set in and we realised that $3600 is a ridiculous sum of money to spend and the tactics used to get into our home and the free "gift" were lies and this made me suspicious to say the least. I admit it was our fault we said yes to buying the products but what happened thereafter was plain SHADY.

We tried calling the salesman many many times over the next day and we heard nothing back at all. We did some careful research about cancelling, our legal rights and based off this, I went to the post office with my cancellation information and sent this recorded delivery to their local office. I then sent a picture of the postal stamp and the recorded delivery information and sent this to the sales guy on his cell. What do you know, we heard back from him!

***You MUST cancel within 3 days and it has to be BUSINESS days so don't let them lie to you about it being 3 DAYS. They will not return your call and they will try to ignore you until you time has passed and you have no legal rights to cancel.***

He came over that evening and dropped off our old Bissell and and picked up the equipment but not without another 30 mins of aggressive sales. He gave some lie about how he has to send this back to Ohio at the cost of $400 bucks out of his own pocket, to get this cleaned and back to "medical grade" cleanliness and moaned about the cost of gas to pick up his stuff. He tried to offer us the vacuum at a "no profit to me" price of $1500. All of this made no sense as if this were true he would need to send back EVERY SINGLE item he demos and doesn't sell?! It made no sense but we let him carry on ( and had a good laugh after). ***I also noted that the box had wear on it and so did the seal on the vacuum so it had clearly been used many times as a demo before we bought it***

He also lied about things I apparently said to him before my husband got home from work about how I had just used the vacuum and I had told him I had used it 3 times and I loved it. My husband knows I used it once on the day we purchased it and and then I cleaned it all out ready to be returned. I did say I loved the product but I made it clear I had only used it ONCE.

All in all it's just not a great sales operation and this is a shame because I did actually love the vacuum (the air purifier is useless to us, we have no health issues) and I have tried a lot of higher end products such as Dyson (which I HATE) and thought the Filter Queen was much better.

But my husband managed to pick me up a Filter Queen off ebay for $230 (includes delivery), so I'm pretty happy with that cost!

Let's see how my "gently used" Filter Queen handles my OCD cleaning!

This is one of the worst vacuums I have ever had AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE EVER. I was totally scammed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL. The handle broke within the first year. The vacuum is so weak that it doesn't even make lines in the carpets like other vacuums do. I have to run over a piece of lint a minimum of three times to get it up. I called customer service to get the handles replaced and they sent out the most rude fix it man. He was so crabby that I asked him to leave. They also said that because I hadn't bought new filters that it voided my warranty. The man I bought the vacuum from gave me years worth of filters... I had NO IDEA that the warranty was connected to buying new filters. He never mentioned it and since he gave me so many I am wondering if it was by design. So that I wouldn't have a warranty when I called to have it repaired. THIS IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY. DON'T BUY FROM THIS SCAMMING COMPANY!

We bought a filter queen and air purifier and I hate the vacuum it is so heavy to drag around hard to change attachments and it is so much a pain in the ### to move up and down stairs, sure it has good suction when they demonstrate it they never used the filters in it, my shark was better by far. I would never tell anyone to get one they are a pain in the ### to use, plus they say to clean your attachments to the power nozzle, what a joke all it does is fling the dust and dirt everywhere, I HATE IT WITH A PASSION! I should have bought a Dyson and paid much less money ! Carey

II would love to have my Rainbow back. I got scammed into trading my Rainbow for the filter queen and it is not even half as good as the Rainbow. It has 6 screws you have to take out to clean the hair and dust out of it. My Rainbow just snapped open and shut very easily. And there is absolutely NO way to keep from getting dust all over your clothes and in your lungs when emptying the dust out. I do not like this vacuum! The salesman also promised me a prize, which he was conveniently out of, and I never received anything from him. I have to work on that thing every time I vacuum my house, taking 6 screws out, using a steak knife to cut the hair out and then I have to use the wand to clean up the mess. UGGGGG! And my son sometimes spills his BB's on his floor in his bedroom and that vacuum doesn't even have the power to take a BB off the floor. Feeling Scammed in Oklahoma! :(

I started out getting a used Princess model of Filter Queen over 25 years ago from a regular vacuum store. About 10 years ago I decided I needed a new one (for no particular reason). So I contacted Health Mor and got a new Majestic. I love these vacuums...certainly beats the heck out of the Kirby I had prior (which I hated and gave away) and the Electrolux I grew up with. I did not have to deal with a salesman (other than over the phone) and having a trade-in, the cost of the new one was well within reason (I actually don't remember how much). Guess I was very lucky. I imagine this vacuum will last the rest of my life and beyond. There is ONE thing I don't like, and that is emptying the canister when it gets full!

I think its the five percent of bad people that gives the filter queen a bad name. Its always the few that ruins the good name. I was a distributer and never had to act like those in above. I also have a filter queen that I have used in thirty five years . worth every dime it has paid it self 100 times over.
