credit card processing terminal
If someone can provide information on how to join the lawsuit for this company so i can cancel my lease and return their equipment which I have never used since i signed these docs at our local Bank of America. Now when we contact the Bank they tell us to call First Data. First Data tells me to pay the remaining months of the contract of 48 months x $51.58 and than they will cancel the lease and i can return their equipment. Otherwise continue paying and at the end of the 48 months return their equipment. We have been tricked into signing this contract. We never thought it would cost us so much to cancel the lease. They are also reporting on our credit report the lease price as a debt and unless i pay that off it is not going to be removed. Please can someone assist. Thank you.
first data global leasing
Attempted contact with First Data Global Leasing (to terminate the equipment lease & return the POS unit) on January 5th, 2016, the same day that I successfully cancelled the data processing service with CPN USA. Between the January 5th and 11th, I called seven (7) times, waiting on hold from 10 to 20 min each time... and no one ever answered the phone. When I got another bill (in March) I returned the Invoice with a written cancellation notice, implying an effective date of January 5th, 2016 (see above). They billed me again, but also (finally in May) sent instructions for returning the equipment, which was done on May 20, 2016. I have the acknowledged tracking info that notes that the equipment was accepted by their Agent on May 25th, 2016 in Marietta, GA 30066. I again received invoices dated 6/15/2016 ($167.85) & most recently 8/15/2016 ($240.65). I called Customer Service at
[protected] (they answered...!) on 8/23/16 at 2:38pm EST, but was told my account was turned over to their Collections/Recovery (Jonathan) department. I called the number C/S gave me for Jonathan, [protected], on the same day, 8/23/16 at 2:51pm EST... got a recording but no opportunity to leave a message four (4) times. Tried again at 3:50pm & left a message (name, lease # & callback phone number). After no returned calls, I called again on 8/25/16 at 10:40am EST and again left the same information.
That's about it to date.
credit card point of sale machine lease
When I signed the 48 month lease for the credit card machine, I was told - and it was written on the Lease Agreement - that the charge would be $6.64 per month. They charged me $214.00 per month. It's now been 51 months and they are still withdrawing money from my account. I literally had to close we my bank account as there was no way for me to stop the...

I was roped into a lease of a piece of equipment to take credit card payments on my iPhone. What I really needed was a way to do this on the internet. I was uneducated, so the salesman really had me over a barrel. I signed, received the equipment as well as the ability to use my computer to take payments for our services. About a month later the equipment was still in the drawer when I got my new iPhone. The equipment was geared for iPhone4. I now had a 5s.
Fast forward...embarrassed to tell my husband what I had done, I quietly paid the $39.95 each and every month for 5 years.
Called and found out through a customer service rep that January 5th was the lease expiration date. I tried to call, with hold times over two hours. I emailed and was told to return the equipment with a tracking number and the lease would be cancelled. I did exactly that. I got a letter today telling me I have to pay the buyout charge of $191.90 because my lease is NON-CANCELLABLE. And that is exactly how it is written on the letter.
I emailed immediately, along with a forwarded email about the equipment being returned, explaining I would pay them nothing more. They can take me to court for $191.90 while I file a claim with the state attorney general's office. Then I found this site. At least I know I'm not alone, but something has to be done about these people. Below is email.

We get a visit from a sr in our office, offering no contract, best rates, etc, but then the fees was not as we spoke. We continue using the system anyway, en 3 months the credit card machine was broken, someone came to office (a technician), replace the machine and it made me sign what supposed to be the replacement, I was with customers and I didn't read...

I have lease with first data for 48 month, still have 2 more month the lease will be end. Unfortunately, the machine was not working at all at last week.I was told I still have to use the lease machine which is not working at all! Any join lawsuit please account me at [protected]@yahoo.com
lied about lease term.
First Data, Through BOA, had Roberto Lopez sell us a terminal. He told us that we would have to lease the wireless terminal for 12 months, and then thereafter, we would own the terminal outright and would only have wireless hosting fees. Every month, and we are well beyond 12 months, First Data continues to take both wireless hosting fees AND LEASE fees out...

I signed up with this company approx. 3 months ago. Ever since they have been deduction double to triple the agreed upon amount of the lease. When trying to call you are on hold forever and cannot get an answer. There are many complaints all over the web. If you are approached by this company RUN, don't walk away. They assure you that the docs they give you hold them to their word legally which does you no good when you cannot reach them. They do work with another just as bad company called Direct Processors out of Portland Oregon. The exchange rates they promise you don't pan out and you cannot reach them either.
worst customer service on the planet.
I set up with First Data when I opened my business April 2014, after checking my statements the supposed 2% processing fee works out to about 4.5% after all the other bulls...t fees that nickel and dime you to death. Then the constant calls from them to try to get you to buy there chip card readers for the tune of around $300.00. In September of 2015, called and cancelled my services with them. They gave me a case # and said they'd send a call tag for me to ship the terminal back to them. It's now half way through October and after spending over 5 hours on the phone with them I still haven't received a ship tag from them. Oh and by the way, they just hit my account for an additional $26.00 charge even after the cancellation. RUN, don't walk away from the people, they are as incompetent as it gets. I have switched to one of the small card readers that plug into your phone at least now I know what I'm paying for my services. Oh, and the new companies chip card reader is FREE. As I write this I am on the phone with First Data for the 5th time to get this resolved, finally spoke with a supervisor and guess what, while he was on the phone with me he managed to get the call tag sent to my email. Why in the heck could this not be done back in September, then they would not have yet another strike against them.
bad company
They have the trickiest program going right down to returning your terminal when you are forced to update, which I thought should be covered in the $100 plus maintenance they charge me every year. First time I returned a terminal because of high rates and hidden costs and switched to PNC they continued to take payment from my bank account for 7 months till I got the bank to stop payments. Get this the bank (PNC not much better than FD) said they would only refund the last quarter. This time, four years later, I get notice from PNC MS that I have to update my terminal through, WAIT FOR IT, FIRST DATA. So I watched my statements closely and sure enough after the second month on the new terminal there was a withdraw for the old one they had received back from me 55 days earlier. I think this must be some kind of scam they are running to rake in a couple extra million a year. I know this, after this contract is up there are many CC processors way better than FD and I will choose one of them. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from First Data. Be careful using your local bank also because they probably use FD to process, make sure you ask. That is how I ended up back with them after I left the first time they screwed me over.
misrepresentation
12/5/2015 I met with Christina Matamoros of Securus re. merchant services for credit card processing for my small business. She promised very low rates and was surprised when I did not want to immediately sign with her company. I was explicit in why I did not want to sign without being able to cancel if I was unhappy weith the services. She called her sales manager, Steve Barger and they both assured me I could cancel if I desired. She then drew a line through the non-cancelable part and wrote cancelable on the agreement. She also wrote next to ito "see GL letter" referring to a guarantee letter Steve agreed to send to me to satisfy my objections. I did not receive this assurance and so refused to accept terminal equipment and e-mailed and called him to cancel the agreement. He told me told this was done, yet I was billed $34.98 via an account draft at the end of December 2014. When I contacted Securus about this, I was informed it would take 32-45 days to process the cancellation. They also suggested I contact another company, First Data, to insure the lease was also cancelled as Securus was not responsible for the equipment lease. I had questioned this during the initial meeting with the rep and she had assured me this agreement with First Data was" for securus info only"and wrote that at the top of the equipment page per my request. I then received a work order cancellation from First Data dated 1/5.2015. I heard nothing further until June 22nd, 2015 when I received a collection notice for over $6000 for a company called NCR for a client named Global Legal Resources. When I called the number the next day to see what this was all about, a man answers the phone, "Hello?" and I ask if this is NCR and he says yes. When I give him the file numberand ask who is the company that filed the report, he replies, "Securus" . After researching these companies, it is clear there are front companies selling a long-term back-door lease program involving exorbitant charges for First Data Global Leasing. I have filed BBB complaints against both Securus and Global Legal Resources and plan to file with the NC Dept. Of Justice as well.
I would like to receive a refund of $34.98, have the collection process immediately stopped with an apology from Securus, First Data Global Leasing, Global Legal Resources, and NCR Debt Collection, as well as any potential attorney's fees resulting from this matter.
My copies of the agreements and my notes are in PDF format so I was unable to download them here, but available for e-mail if the company would like to see them.
credit card terminal
My salon leased a credit card terminal from First Data Global Leasing. One day we had to have our transmission lines in the salon upgraded. The new lines didn't work with the terminal from First Data Global leasing, so we had to get another terminal We told First Data Global Leasing that we would have to return the terminal and they said that they didn't want the machine but we had to pay them $1, 621.27 for the credit card terminal and that the contract was
NON-CANCELLABLE, even if the machine was unusable. They also said that they would report this to the credit bureau on my personal credit. This had nothing to do with my personal credit.
FIRST DATA GLOBAL LEASING uses threats to scare honest people into giving them money and they should be stopped from doing this.
No, I agree with them! I recently had the chance to change merchant providers to better the fees and other issues related to the transaction of credit cards for our business and realized for the first time that we had a contract with a third party company named First Data Global Leasing company. For starters, I signed a contract with Wells Fargo and they NEVER disclose any information or fees for a leasing company of the terminal. I would have purchased the terminal if there would have been an extra fee! Who wants to pay $39.99 a month for 36 months for something that is worth $450. AT THE MOST! How is it that Wells Fargo signed me in a 3 year services but a 4 year leasing contract with FDGL ? Now, they are trying to charge me over $400. to cancel a contract I was never aware of in the first place!
I am sure you signed a lease for the terminal... It is not there fault that you changed the lines and made it unusable... If you signed the lease agreement and it has a PERSONAL guarantee for the lease then that means they can use it against you...
misrepresentation
I am the owner of a small business told by Bank of America branch here in Key Largo when I opened a merchant account to speak with what I thought was a representative from BOA about credit card processing equipment. Was told the equipment would be returnable with $250 cancellation fee, not informed of 4 year lease or the $60/month fee. Received 1 unit in late February have not used it so when I call to cancel I am told that I have no recourse but to satisfy lease in full $2, 718.63.

Attention ISO's: If you are thinking of writing deals thru First Data, do not use first data global leasing as your leasing company. They are trigger happy on chargbacks, they took thousands out of our account and could not explain why. This company NEVER answers the phone and never returns phone calls. They are an unlawful company. I strongly advise never doing business with FDGL!
The best way to stop them is to sue for funds withdrawn from you're account in small claims court, If they lied to you they probably won't show up.
Thanks for the link! I just submitted my complaint and hopefully these guys will get the spanking they so richly deserve!
you name it they did it. falsified contract
First of all, I would like to say, this company is the biggest joke I have ever had the total displeasure of dealing with. They need to have their business license revoked and taken to court for breach of contract. The insanity of leasing a 250.00 peace of equipment (which most credit card company's give to you) for 17, 000.00! Yes that's right. The salesman, a loosely modified term here, for con artist; had an employee who no longer works for me, sign us up for what appeared to be a good deal. Or so, their sales representative stated. She signed for the lease and when she no longer worked for me they would not talk to me. After 6 months of no payment they decided to talk to me. Odd to say the least. Then when I question why to anything, they become belligerent, there voices raise, they become very discourteous and then hang up on me. What kind of customer service does that? That is nowhere near customer service. That tells me that they do not have proper training and seem to have been acting like this to more than just me. I have never been talked to, in my 25 years of business, like that. This company is conniving and not worth a cent. Also, on top of the already ridiculous lease, they for no apparent reason increased the lease. Its a lease, its not suppose to change. Its a fixed rate for a fixed amount of time. Absolutely malicious! Stay away from this so called business.
This lady called my location and told my staff that my visa and master card merchant accoutn was flagged... so naturally i called with concern to findout what had happen, and this lady Paula Hudson said she was from First Data Customer Service... and that we where flag... she gave me some referance number #[protected]... it was a total scam she tryed getting my statments from me and saling there merchant services.
First data. RIP OFF artists. Tried to cancel my contract early because of slow business. Two months ago when I asked how much to cancel I was told $160.00 plus $30.00. Now when it comes to do it they told me $350.00 plus $30.00 because they added on another fee for not using it enough. What the @$&? What good is a contract if they dont go by it. Im so amgry. I dont understand why they get away with this
I have a well documented set of proof regarding the run around given to me via snake tactics for sale and taking money from my bank account. I have recorded calls from several first data workers as well as notes on conversations. For these items feel free to call me.
Unbelievable, these ###ers get away with down right stealing!
DO NOT give them your processing business.
DO NOT believe anything they tell you, and they WILL charge you at will, whatever and whenever they want to.
I guarantee you WILL be sorry.
First Data has absolutely outrageous fees. They are criminal in what they charge. I have paid more in a year in fees than I have collected in sales.
No one should EVER use First Data.
BEWARE! This is fraud!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU HEFTY FEES THAT THEY TAKE DIRECTLY OUT OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. THEY ESSENTIALLY ARE A COMPANY THAT WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. STAY AWAY!
LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND CRIMINAL IN THEIR BEHAVIOR.
I got a very similar call from Natasha left on our voicemail. The message said some thing about our company's "risk matrix score". Im not even going to call them back.
I was contacted by "First Data Private Client Services" who left a voice mail for me on my office phone. I just got off the phone with these frauds and it quickly became obvious it was a scam!
I did a Google search for First Data Private Client Services, and found no reference to that name at all. The rep on the phone pointed me to www.gopcmg.com. When I started to ask further questions of Natasha about who they are, a supervisor came on the call, told me she was not going to sit there and take the 3rd degree from me and promptly hung up.
When I called back, she told me to "quit your whining and get your mama's KITTY out of your mouth", and then hung up again. I tried calling the phone number on the gopcmg.com website, and found it to be disconnected.
Same thing just happened to me. I hung up.Thanks for posting this blog.

client experience
I had several problems with this company. Starting with the leasing department. What I was told and what I was build were two different things. So the prices you are quoted are not true. When I would contact them I was unable to get any where with the technical support . Every time I asked a new question the same answer was repeated to me over and over with out any suggestions or help in moving past my merchandise problem. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told she is out to lunch continually. Then I was rudely told that they have answered my questions . To top it off I was hung up on several times because their technical support or service people were not willing to help me. To finalize my issue was never solved and I am being charged again for equipment I have already returned. They claimed the equipment has never been returned but my tracking number proved them wrong...this company is dishonest and seems to be confused on their business ethics and morals. I would not recommend anyone having to use this company and go through this experience. It was terrible ... Do not use this business.
contract not expalined
Do not use First Data for credit card processing! I own a small business and was referred to them by my bank. I purchased my equipment (a mobile card reader) rather than lease because the price was reasonable. If I use the reader, I am charged an additional fee that month for mobile access. Even my accountant said that the fees I am paying are outrageous.
However my biggest complaint is that I was never told that this was a three year contract! I was a new business and the salesman knew that, and I told him I didn't know how it would go, so I wanted to purchase the reader for that reason too rather than be in a lease. NOWHERE in the many pages of the contract I was given does it say there is a three year contract. He obviously did not print all pages when he gave me a copy because I have read every single page. A year into the "contract" they cancelled me and tried to charge my account a $500 early termination fee. When I called they said it was because I had not used the reader in the past two months so it was inactive. I said "how can you charge me an early termination fee when I am not terminating - YOU are"? They finally reinstated it and I am paying the fees until it expires because it is a cheaper option, but I NEVER use the reader. I now use the Square reader which has been fantastic! No fees other than a per transaction percentage and I receive the money in my account usually the following day! I have one more year on the scam contract with First Data and I actually call them monthly and write down the date, time and who I spoke to and ask what date my contract expires because I feel like when that date comes they will try to change it on me and find a way not to cancel it. Horrible business practices!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Cancel the bank account on file with First Data
They can not draft out anything on a closed account.
But first open with a new merchant service that does NOT use first data as their third party processing. then call first data and tell em to bite you and sue you for any unpaid debt! I did!
Im thinking of trying the square?
heard good things but have not checked into it
forging my signature on the contract without my knowledge
I have a small business in photography and I have a credit card machine already which I return to leasecomm with no problem because the Bank of America offers a competitive rate. So the BofA sales rep comes in to my studio and provide me a good rate, we don't have any hard copy of paperwork sort of any agreement she just have me sign on the ipad without any text except just the line for signature. She told me to check if my address is correct and sign it that I am authorizing to ship the machine. After 3 years my business didn't do well I am cutting my expenses and I called Bank of America asking where I can return the credit card machine and told me I need to call a different number, so I did talk to someone else and surprisingly she said I was sign in for 4 years in contract with the FIRST DATA GLOBAL LEASING and they are sending me bills with more added charges like maintenance fee even the machine already return to them I kept all the records on file. So I called them back and got transfer from multiple person and been on hold for a long time finally I called Allison [protected] Ext. 1009 and asking her to email to me the contract that is proving that I sign and explain all the charges on that agreement. She did email the contract and they attached my signature to that contract that I don't even know not even leasing to FDGL all I know that I am dealing with Bank of America. I remember signing on the digital tablet without any text she told me to sign for authorizing to ship the machine to my address. I am questioning to them about my signature how come it overlaps to some text while signing in the tablet is just only the line for signature. I will attached my document if necessary I kept all the records their charges are inconsistent without any explanation and I record all their harassment on my voicemail saying it will ruin my credit going to submit in collection agency.
illegal contract / theft
I opened a shop, and went to Sam's club to look at business items, one of which was a credit card machine. I have used Sam's club for about 20 years. I purchased the machine from Sam's and entered a 24 mos contract with FDGL, wrong. I called and asked why the long delays in processing the transactions and why no money being deposited in my bank accounts. (Good thing I was just starting and not a lot of business had come my way) This was 2 mos after opening said contract/account. I got a different credit card machine and had used that ever since. Due to FDGL stating the 2 year contract could only be closed if I paid $1400. I figured $37/mo for 2 years was way less than $1300 to close. I have since closed my doors and bank accounts, thank goodness. I am now receiving mailed letters stating they have been unable to retrieve $34 from my account, wonder why. And now they are stating this is a non-cancelable contract? I think not, I am in now touch with an attorney and so far, he has told me not to respond or answer phone calls from these fraudulent whatever they are.
fraudulent representation and theft
Signed up with this company, business transactions with/thru them worst at best. I called after attempting to use their services for 3 mos. They told me it would cost $2300 to terminate before the end of the contract May 2014. I returned their machine return receipt by the USPS and have it. I closed my doors with the business 1 May 2014, and closed my...

This is fraud!
Dealing with them right now. November 2019. I guess nothing has been changed for so many years. Scammers and their third party companies are scammers as well. Very helpful and friendly when they need to sell you their [censored]. And very unresponsive, unprofessional and dishonest when you need to return it because they screwed up your contract. Stacked with 48 months lease 113$ every month + 15$ for the sim card. Scammers.
As for the third party company i was got on hook with TechMonkey Solutions. Monkey Company - Monkey business
I too was scammed by this company. Thought I was doing a 24 month contract only to find out it was for 5 years. Finally took the loss to my company and paid it off after 2 years and getting contract balance down to where I could. I never used machine. It was a waste. Wells Fargo should be ashamed for working with the company. If anyone ever wishes to get together for a class action lawsuit, I'm in! Never got a copy of contract after asking at least 4 times. Still don't have one. After 2 years.
