Several deductions have been taken from my credit card accounts from a Facebook account that I don't have access to. The total amount is more than R5000. FNB has informed me that the investigation is completed after a week and that nothing can be done about it. My Virtual card requires a new CCV no every time it is used, but no information or proof that I don't have access to the Facebook account had been taken in account. This is an inside job or laziness in the investigation. I have no recourse to be refunded because they don't do an in depth investigation. This was not my account and the bank allowed these deductions without my consent. The card that it was deducted from, had been canceled a long time ago when several illegal deductions were made. FNB doesn't protect credit card fraud properly. The screenshots I attach were never asked for re the investigation, which was lax and disregard on their part. Their conclusions that the deductions were made before the card was canceled makes no sense since the CCV numbers change every time. Also, the card from which the deductions were made was canceled a long time ago. I attach screenshots of the fraudulent deductions.
Claimed loss: R5500
Desired outcome: Refund
