Disappointing Experience with FirstBank
As someone who values transparency and honesty in financial services, my recent encounter with FirstBank left me feeling utterly disappointed. The national advertising promising a 'Get Free Checking. Get a Flip UltraHD' offer with 'No requirements' seemed enticing, but the fine print revealed a different story. It turns out the offer was only valid for customers residing in specific trade areas, which were not clearly defined. This lack of clarity led to a frustrating experience of wasted time and personal information shared, only to be informed later that the offer did not apply to my state. This deceptive advertising tactic left me feeling misled and deceived. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious and thoroughly research before engaging with FirstBank to avoid similar disappointments.

I received an email from First Bank stating that my savings account had changed. There was no action required on my part, however there was an incentive for account holder aged 25 an under. If you were an account holder 25 an under your atm card fees would be waived at the time they were due. When I called and spoke to a abnking representative on 6/2 and questioned this and said I felt this was age discrimination. She than said she would have someone call me back. On 6/3 I spoke with J told him how I felt he said this was set up for collge students. There is nothing on that email stating anything about college students. J also said he would reach out to the local branch where I hold 5 accounts and see if my atm fees could be waived. I then later spoke to Andrew she said the same thing about college students and said that no the fees will not be waived since they are already in place.
First Bank has denied me access to my account
First Bank has denied me access to my account. On two occasions they closed my online account without notice. First Bank changed their routing number without notice and caused me to bounce checks. First Bank requires me to take online statements but then denies me access to my online account so I cannot access my pension. The customer service line alwys has in excess of a 10 minute wait time. When I finally got a customer service rep"***" after 11 minutes he put me on hold for 41 minutes. I cannot access my funds in this bank. They have denied me access by closing my account and providing a customer service which is deliberately unavailable.

I opened an account with the branch in December with a promotion of $300
I opened an account with the branch in December with a promotion of $300. I specifically asked the bank clerk to make sure I met all requirements to get the $300 award. I was told you were qualified before I left. However, after six months, I did not get the award and was told I did not meet the requirements. This bank used the confused words to mislead customers. When I called the bank again, the other clerk reviewed and conditions and thought I met all requirement. then She called the marketing department and came back with different explanation about the words. I am not a lawyer and do not want to play with the word game with them. I am going to close my account after COVID-19 is over.
