Im half japanese and colombian and I have heard that fitness first is one of the best gyms in australia therefore I wanted to sign up and ask questions about membership. I went to top ryde fitness first with my bf and one of the staffs members claimed to be the club manager name is will (top ryde platinum). As soon as we entered fitness first we spoke very well english as I have studied bachelor degree here in australia and mostly speaking with english. The claim to be the club manager stright away started giving a bad attitude and stopped me from talking and asked where I am from just because of the appearance and accent. Basically I couldnt ask anything and ask uim why to be racist with me just because of my english or accent and he started to laugh and saying : see thats why we are not explaining to you anything. I got so angey tried to remain calm and left the gym. Few min later I wanted to entered to speak up of my rights and I talked to his employees and other staffs who witness the incident and they agreed with me about how rude and racist was this guy (manager). I was fully angry that I started to swear and even more to the racist guy. Tbh this is so shame that fitness first has a manager that is giving really bad reputation to this gym and he should not be the manager! What kind of person is that? I woukd pike to sue him or the gym. This guy does not have any respect or values or dignity and not being a human being! I took videos showing the staffs who witnessed and pic of him. Im so sad about this incident and he is not a good example to be a manager!

This is to flag a complaint that my membership ended 2 years ago but they are still charging me in the past 2 years without notifying me.
According to Hong Kong Consumer Council, auto-renewal is prohibited. Tried to discuss with the branch manager yet his feedback was very frustrating.

I got a one year membership from Fitness First. I very clearly stated the sales guy that i do not want automatic renewal. He said ok. That one year later, i thought my membership was finished but they kept taking money from my account. I went there and talk to the person in the office amd explained the situation. He said fine, i just had to send him an email and he will cancel the membership. I immediately sent it and a few days later he said he could not cancel because they changed their terms and conditions and now i have to pay for another 1 year. I said i had never received the new terms and conditions and i have never agreed to that. They said they sent me an email. I asked them if they could send me the email they have sent to me and they have never bothered to send that to me. I never got their so called new terms and conditions, i never got any email from them, and although they have promised to cancel, now they are asking in one payment for the whole years membership fee

I sent an email to fitness first in regards to cancellation of my fitness first membership during the trial period and much before the contract began.
they acknowledged that membership will be cancelled but they did not cancel the membership.
Infact they are saying now that membership is still active.
I am in home country already and cannot use fitness first gym facilities.

penalty form my stolen bank card
My card was stolen around 2 weeks ago and I blocked it and cancelled it. And i didn't know that the payment for my Freezen fee was not success. I think the payment should be pay directly from my bank account. Until yesterday, I got a call that told me I need to pay $85 becoz the payments was canceled... there was $7 per day of the penalty. I call fitness first and explained the reason, they just tell me updates my account details and the payment will going through automatically. At the end, I paid $77 for 2 weeks even I had freeze my member card before.

I am writing in regards to the studio at rockdale that has been unavailable for classes recently. Every time it rains the studio roof leaks; with the heavy rain we had for the last week, the studio roof has collapsed and all classes were cancelled. The most annoying part of this is that there was no notice of all classes being cancelled and even after this happened there was nothing posted on the Fitness First page, the app, nothing. I only use the gym for the classes and was ringing up almost daily to see if the studio had been repaired and was told "any day now" and to just keep calling for updates. After 10 days one lady at reception told me it still wont be ready for the weekend but because the studio is unusable, members are able to use the Sylvania gym. I was so angry, being told it will be fixed any day, waiting day by day, calling and then to be told the whole time I could have accessed another gym. Now I have paid for a weeks membership but havent been able to actually use gym classes (which is the only thing I use at the gym).
I went to a class at Sylvania last weekend but am so frustrated by the whole thing, I havent bothered to call all week to see where the studio (which is much closer to my home) is at. So I am unsure if it will even be ready for this weekends classes. I am so unimpressed at the unprofessional way this whole situation was handled, particularly as this constantly leaking roof was inevitably going to collapse.
I would like at least 1 weeks membership refunded as I didnt use, and wasnt able to use the studio classes please.

Today 1800 I was gonna attend the group suspension training circus class. It was my first time to join this class and I arrived on time, 1800.
However, the tutor told me next time come earlier, actually it's 1800 indeed. After she noticed it was my first time to join this class, she asked me to leave the class and join it next time. How come I arrived on time but she refused to teach a new joiner ? It's tutor's responsibility to teach everyone if he /she wasn't late for the class. I know it may be troublesome if the learning progress isn't the same of everyone student but it is inevitable for a multi-people based class.
It is so disappointed for her teaching attitude. I'm not talking about customer is always right, don't misunderstand me. But at least she has to show her willingness to teach me.
inconsiderate act of gym members
There is a group of about 4 members who appears almost every evening at Junction 10 Fitness First and occupies almost 1/2 of weightlifting machines and dumbbells for their own usage. This inconsiderate act of them has prevented the other gym members from using the gym equipment until they have finished their workout.
I hope Fitness First will be prompt in resolving the issues caused by this inconsiderate group or else I believed there will be an exodus of unsatisfied customers.
cleaning services
I love the overall gym in 1Mont Kiara. But the cleaning services is not good. We paid so mucj to get great services. I have been in few other gym before. I never find any gym doing major toilet cleaning during peak hour around 7.30am-9am.
The cleaner can mumbling and talk so much when I wanted to use toilet. Why can't she just stop the water ande let me walk just for a while? I went to celebrity fitness and chii fitness before, they only do major cleaning at night 1 hour before gym close.
Please advise your cleaner and operation manager, please take action on cleaning timing.

rip off equipment upholstery, rip off plyo box, numerous rusty equipment handles and equipment.
Facilities:
poor air condition system, water dripping from ceiling, uneven exercise floor that causes accident, insufficient number of hair dryer and cockroaches inside the locker.
I'd tried to talk to the manager in charge but its been months ago until now no action has been done.

charged by the wrong method
I would like to express a great length of my disappointment to a seemingly unattended complain i have been making for 3 months in a row regarding my recurring monthly charge. This is now the third month that the monthly charged is debiting from my Maybank account rather than the AMEX credit card that i have initially registered for. I was informed that it is possible for up to 3 people to be charged under one credit card and i chose this option for the convenience. Only the other two members are being charged correctly whereas my account has never been successfully charged to the AMEX. I was also informed for 3 times in a row upon each visit to rectify this issue that i will be expecting news/calls from the management, but i have never received a single call. A gym with a platinum status not being able to deliver the expected quality of customer service is indeed tarnishing the reputation and draws a line of distrust to it's clients. I now have RM 60.00 that needs to be refunded to me because of this mishap. Please proceed to fulfill the following:
1. Refund RM 60.00 to my Maybank account.
2. Change my monthly deduction to the AMEX credit card instead of my regular bank account.
Please see to it that i receive my refund as soon as possible as i truly do not wish to write in again or visit the counter for another complain about the same issue.

unable to use passport services in singapore
I would like to file a complaint in regards to fitness first for cancelling my membership without informing its member although payment was made via direct debit thru my credit card.
There was no letter sent to its member and I was abruptly asked to refer to Home Club while I was on a transit from Malaysia to Singapore for one day. The staff from Fitness First (Bukit Tinggi Klang) by the name of Nur Halinda was too busy handling other staff while she kept me waiting for 30 min to handle my request. There was no Manager around the staff confirmed, however she was on call with her manager by the name of Kavitha who confirmed that my membership cannot be renewed and ask to refer to IOI Mall Puchong membership.
When I called IOI Mall Puchong membership, the membership consultant by the name of Sakthi said, Bukit Tinggi Klang Fitness First should be able to renew the membership without any issues since I have no payment dues. But there was no follow up from Fitness First subsequently.
24/7 with no lights on
So decided to train early this morning and I with other members there had to navigate via our mobile phone light to see where we were going. Very unprofessional and ended going to another local 24/7 gym with lights on for there members to train. Funny coming from a gym that charges much more than others for memberships. I'll be cancelling my membership there

I would like to complaint fitness first platinum siam paragon branch base on Bangkok, Thailand.
I have been being a membership for almost 2 years. I did cancellation on March because i was really mad that my shoes were stolen and fitness did not that much helpful.. However, a staff told me if i did cancel cancellation and continue membership for 3 months i would access fitness first for Free one month so i followed their suggestion WITH condition inform the staff i would continue membership only 3 months it means April was free month access and May till July were charged as usual this was acceptable. But yesterday they charged money from my credit card! I always understand they would discontinue my membership automatically! NO It is not the staff didnt inform me anything or write on the contract i have to inform them again before one month! What that means !? The staff was the one who told me they would discontinue my membership as i have been informed her since March !
And yes the staffs didnt really helpful they told me they would call me back but not .. i think manager should train staff be more responsible and active not just promise customer will call them back and totally forgot that.

I would like to express my concerns about a staff member at Chatswood Fitness First please. I have been a fitness frat member for well over a decade and have never encountered such a negative and passive aggressive person. I have exercised at fitness first in England, Singapore, Queensland and all across Sydney and this is a first!
I forgot I.d on Wednesday 17th of July and After apologising and asking Gilda if she could please look me up on the system she replied that "at my club in the mornings she would never ever let me through, not acceptable" and was exceptionally loud so other patrons and staff could hear - however there was a lovely young girl with blonde hair that simply recognised me and let me through and politely asked next time try to remember . Wow .. I never want to attend "her " gym again!
membership plan / being lied to about eofy sale

I joined about a week ago on a 'one day sale - 4 weeks free!' deal. I talked in length with one of the staff at St Leonards centre and told him, money was a real concern and if this was your EOFY sale or if Fitness First were going to have another one. He assured me that this was 'the only sale!' and I had to join 'today!' To which I did only to walk into the centre a week later and find out that they are having and EOFY sale, with 20% off memberships, 6 weeks and $1 joining fee! I feel incredibly mislead, lied too and my trust and loyalty to fitness first has definitely been broken. I was telling my friends to join, until this happened, I feel like I was pressured into the membership under false pretences. I'm still in my 2 weeks cancellation period and am very tempted to leave if this is the way fitness first handles their customers. Is there anything you can do?

1. Sauna is always off! Not just 30 min before closing, its closed all the damn time.
2. Towels are ripped off.
3. No cups to drink, no wipers
4. Bathrooms and shower rooms smell so bad
5. No hygiene, cockroaches everywhere
6. No snack machine, nor snack bar
Moreover, the poor service of your fitness centre! I referred two of my friends, without getting my free gifts. Even my friends haven't got their shirts, bags, shaker…. The management claim they ran out of items!
