2015 tracer air
The floor on this unit each year would get softer and softer. It had sunk to the point I put pine boards across to stuffing it up. I removed the boards while working on electrical box. When I kneeled on the floor my knee cracked through the vinyl and underpayment. To my surprise there was no issue of water infiltration. I have not begun to rip up the floor but based on the area in question it appears there is no support structure to maintain stability of what was the original build. it is my opinion that this is the fault of Forest River. Could you please send me the floor structure plans so I can figure out how to repair this problem. The area in question is from the front of the sink to the far side of the refrigerator and the width would be from the stove out to the outer edge of the heater vent. Thanks for your help, I love the trailer but for this issue, I look forward to your response. Thank you, Dave Egy 375 Orchard Street Millis, Ma 02054. [protected]

We took a road trip july 2020 and the charging system went out, the fireplace quit working and the roof came loose. Had to file roof on my insurance. And the other on my extended warranty that I'm thankful i took out. Now the serious issue is we evacuated for hurricane laura and the fiberglass has cracked! They say we only have a one year structural warranty! When it comes to the fiberglass cracking it seems to be a serious issue structural. I would love to have this issue corrected with out having to file on my insurance. Not there place to fix something that was not our fault.

I think the only question is what hasn't broken on this inferior camper? When we went to pick this camper up at Stoltzfus in PA we couldn't even bring it home as they had found a couple of issues (not to mention what they fixed before we entered the picture). The dealer has had this camper on warranty work almost more then we have had it in our possession. The paint was faded on the front cap. The rear door/ramp (toy hauler), interior door, replaced. The refrigerator French door flap would not close causing the unit not to cool, (we lost a considerable amount of food), it was service 5 times before it was finally replaced and we still had the same issue, plus an electrical problem where the newly replaced refrigerator would error and turn off. The air conditioners were not ducted properly as well as the range hood fan being circulated in the cabin instead of venting to the outside. The first time we used the automatic leveling system it pumped hydraulic fluid all over the compartment (every line was loose). All the electrical connections related to the leveling system were also loose causing over current errors. The control for the leveling system had to be replaced. The external fuel tank and generator fuel tank were improperly wired, connected and labeled. Countless interior trim that fell off or dislodged. Recliners that don't work. Propane line had a leak which emptied the tank twice. The step going into the trailer broke off (thankfully?! my husband was on it when it broke as I have balance issues and probably would have ended up in the hospital) The kitchen slide wasn't properly set and my flooring is now torn and dug up. Now the living room slide has a broken rod and the dealer told us the trailer has stress fractures (caused by a manufacturing defect) and the whole side of the camper needs replaced. The dealer said this has to be done by the manufacturer. That it is beyond their ability to do it there. The dealer requested we call Forest River to let them know the dealer will be contacting them. We contacted Forest River and the service rep, who was unprofessional in dealing with this type of situation, told us to send pictures and they would probably not pay for it. When we got upset she hung up on us. When we tried to call back, we got voice mail. I left messages and am still waiting for a call back. I am absolutely amazed that a company can treat its customers this way and stay in business. As a first time new coach buyer, I'm left feeling violated. I can't trade or sell this camper and recoup even half of what I still owe on this monstrosity.
Roof on a 2015 forest river motor home

I purchased this camper in late march, due to covid we were unable to use it for the first few months because of campground closures. The first time we used it the fabric on the seats wrinkled up and it's just the 2 of us. The cushions on the back of the dinette has cheap double sided velcro that doesn't stick to anything except itself. One of the screws is not engaged into the side of the dinette so there is a gap. The first time we used the camper when we washed out the holding tank water was all over the bathroom floor. When we opened the camper to use the next time there was water in front of the sink and the bed which we still don't know how it got in there. We've opened the slides and closed them on 2 trips. When we went to leave for a work trip the slide wouldn't open or close evenly. When trying to close it back up it drug on the material of the bed and is touching at the top and has a gap of about 4"at the bottom on both sides. It is still open around 5". We have tried to get it into the dealer but they cant get us in until oct. We ended up having to rent a house for a month for work and had to cancel our camping reservation and that was why we purchased a 2nd camper. The frame for the bed is 2nd material and looks like it was taken from an old pallet. The worst quality camper i"ve ever seen!
Forgot to mention the 2 stove eyes have NEVER WORKED, the laminate on the bottom of the counter is peeling AND the tri fold bed isn't even. The AC doesn't have a thermostat so it runs only manually and barely can cool when hot!

We purchased a brand new Camper and from the minute we had it delivered we have had nothing but problems right from the factory, The cut out for the sliding door is not square, they put in a new door 3 months ago but that did not fix it. From the month we got it we have had other issues like cabinet doors are warped the finish on the table is coming off and more more things we have been battling with them since May of 2019, we bought extended warranties and they will not help us they have avoided us and back paddled. I know others in this park having camper issues with them and they are being ignored. We need help!

Exterior Side Delamination that do not go away!
Purchased this unit from Best RV - Turlock, CA January 2018 and had nothing but exterior side bubbling problems. We had to return this unit back to Best RV since within 1 year warranty period. They had it picked up by factory direct service team to repair and replace sides in August 2018 then We picked it back up November 2018 about three months later when it was only going to be a 6-8 week return.
We learned that the factory had destroyed the top of our unit so not only had to repair the sides now had to fix the top which they destroyed from a low shop entrance door. We have had luckily no leaks yet?
Now in June 2020 we noticed again a small delamination (Bubble) again and also the custom decals are tearing off. Since then after reaching out to BEST RV (No Help), Our extended warranty co. (No Help) and Forest River (not much help) expressed that we need to find a fiberglass repair shop to fix this at our expense.
We have a problem with this as if it was that we caused the damage that is one thing but for the product to continue to delaminate within 5 years from a manufacturing failure, normal ware and tear We think this should be taken care of by OEM.
I have a cedar creek Hathaway edition it has been in the shop more than on the road! Electrical problems, slide out problems leak problems jack problems ac problems that’s not all now got out in it this morning water in bedroom floor can’t get a sails rep on the phone only voice mail and they want call back. Poor service!
2018 sierra fifth wheel. Mdl 378FB.
We bought the rv in oct. 2017 from camping world Tampa. Two days after that the holding tanks fell out taking the cover and plumbing with it. Camping world made an attempt to repair it. It was a very poor job. They had to get a mobile rv repair to fix it right. They said Forest River would put us up in a motel while they did the repair. We have not recieved a reinbursement for that to date. The cable.sat. and ant. wiring was all messed up would not work. Still dont work right. The holding tank vent allows a smell in the rv and the dump valves for the tanks are so hard to operate it takes extreme force to operate. Now just a couple of months after the warranty is up, the interior led lights are flashing and going off and on. Right now a total of six lights. The theater seating heating is not working and the covering is splitting. The living room air conditioner is freezing up and not cooling right. I would like to speak to someone about this. Wildcat 31wb
Purchased a new Wildcat 31wb. Brought it home on a Friday January 17th, 2020 and took it back on Sunday morning the 19th. Apparently the slideout grabbed a few loose wires and wrapped them up around the slideout ram. The unit had to be rewired, new ram, new ram mounting bracket and who knows what else. I have no confidence in this trailer and just want a refund. I just made my first payment and I still have no trailer. Forest River customer service has been less than helpful.
2018 coachmen clipper
We bought this from a local dealer in May 2018. Since the day we bought this the slide has leaked. this will be the 4th time we have had to take it back to the dealer to be fixed for the slide leaking. Now we are being told it may not be covered under warranty and we will have to pay to have it looked at. because it hasn't leaked in about 9 months so they are saying it might be a different issue. (to me this is what they say so you will have to pay for the repair). I was told that the leaking slide will be covered because we have had such an issue with it the last time they fixed it, But i didn't get it in writing. The bulb seal has been replaced twice (on a 2018 trailer). They put a gutter over the slide and they had to bend the fascia plate around the slide because it was bent. This is a brand new trailer. I am so fed up with RV General Store in Newcastle OK and with Forest River. The trailer besides this issue is ok. I haven't had any other issues with it except the screen cover that goes over the vent in the bathroom. It will not stay on it. Seems like it does not fit this trailer. I am just at my wits end with this slide leaking. with hind site being 20/20 i wish i would have done my homework and bought a different product.
This is from July 2018.
Poor product quality
I have had my destination travel trailer for 15 months. Each month reveals at least one more example of the poor quality workmanship andor design of this RV. The Furrion Oven never worked until the repairman replacing it found that they had installed only a six inch propane line, not long enough to deliver the propane to the oven. I have had to change the placement of several curtain holders to allow the shades to function correctly. Drawer assemblies have had to be corrected in order to use them. Ceiling fans do not move air. The plumbing to the kitchen sink was zip-tied to the inside of the cabinet to keep it from coming apart, which it did when the zip-tie broke overnight causing water to stand and disrupting use of the sink until it could be held in place properly. The fireplace heater doesn't fit properly into the flimsy cabinet built to hold it and has rattled standing 3/8 inch from the opening. Shades were hung without leveling, flimsy 1x1 sticks fail to hold cabinet pieced in place. I am left to wonder if this manufacturer has any quality assurance. If they do, they must have missed inspection of my camper or they have VERY LOW STANDARDS to meet. This camper is an albertross around the neck of a 71 year old woman.
Reclining chairs in our fifth wheel
Service agreement - [protected]. We have a 2015 Forest River fifth wheel which was actually not purchased until 2016. We have used this unit only a few times and all four of our recliner chairs are totally peeling apart. The material is just coming off of the chairs. This is NOT from usual wear and tear and I would appreciate you backing your product and inform me how to get these chairs repaired. We can't even use our 5th wheel at this time and neither insurance nor extended warranty covers this which I find appalling. We bought Forest River for the high-end quality and reputation. Please see pictures below.

My wife and I purchased a Forest River Forester 3011 DS new in 2016 thinking at 70 years old it would be the last motor home we would own. Shortly after purchasing the RV things started breaking and leaking. I had them repaired along our trips as we live in Florida and it couldn't wait until we returned. Everything from 3 vent lids on the roof that cracked and leaked, plumbing leaks, having to replace the tail lights that were full of water, roof leaks that have caused the floor to rot out and areas of the ceiling to turn dark, roof seams that were never sealed from the factory, windows that weren't installed properly and leaked and what we were told was real leather furniture, is now peeling. This summer we took a trip and called in 2 repair people to try and find the roof leaks and couldn't. When we returned I took it to the dealer we purchased it from for them to find and repair the water leaks which they tried but were unsuccessful($406). Then I took it to another dealer who did a bubble test and found 3 more leaks ($168) and I believe there are still more. I have almost all the repair receipts so far. I can understand having to do a few repairs now and then, but this is excessive. I have owned two older coaches with only a few minor repairs. I believe the condition of this motor home is the result of unskilled labor not doing their job and therefore defective from day 1.
I would like the manufacturer to either buy it back or replace it with another one as it is my belief it is defective. In addition, my wife now has lung problems which may be caused from extended traveling in this motorhome. I would even be willing to drive it to Indiana to exchange it for another one that doesn't leak. It is very distressing to be making monthly payments on a newer motorhome that I can't use. It is also costing me $100/month for storage. This is an enormous problem that, after doing everything I know to do, I haven't been able to solve and either have RV maintenance people. PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS HUGE PROBLEM IN MY LIFE.

2019 vengeance
My pregnant wife and I purchased our first ever brand new camper a week ago from holmans in Ohio. We towed it back to Tennessee and it's in storage. We planned our first trip next week and when going to and from our brand new camper to put our items in it I noticed bare wires on the slide out and the underbelly is falling down. We have not even been on our first trip with the camper and we have had it in our possession for 1 week so we are severely frustrated and now we need to cancel our first trip to have a new camper repaired.
Here are a few more pictures
We ha e a forest river wildwood xlite have had it in the shop twice now for water leaking in the bathroom. We bought this brand new 12/2019 and have only had it out 4 times. This time im over 200 miles from home and and camping the week of Thanksgiving. Ive called forest river and no return calls cant take a shower because the water leak is coming from under the shower at the "T" in the pex pipe that feesd the sink and shower. I might as well be tent camping. My wife and i are so mad and upset.

Warranty coverage
Here is a copy of an email to the dealer and issues with forest river dealing with a new 2018 forest river 29rlx 5th wheel
Sorry but lets go all the way back to the very beginning with my dealings with american family rv and forest river
This transaction was off to a bad start when your vp at the time started his bs and trying to over charge me with the hitch and install. Then when I come up to get the unit his [censored] didn't even have the guts to tell me the camper wasn't even ready and had floor damage too. Instead I was told yeah it is ready it is over at the service lot. I get there and trisha was caught off guard about me not being aware of the damage to unit. Walk thru was a joke. Then to top it off he makes a bs comment about he should hire me to install hitch units, after he was going to screw me for 8 hours minimum maybe more for labor for a 2.5 hour job and have to bring his best man from another branch to do it. Yes a second unit was brought in and that has turned out to be such a great experience.
Sorry that I have had questions about my pos, no one can give me the truth on how the repair is to be done. My questions go unanswered, I have a bs phone call with service people from lippert and forest river who only will say we will do your repair and that is that. Wrong procedure from both of them was told to me after pushing the issue on that day. Then I am to have a call from duane which was useless because it got heated between us because he got questioned and didn't have answers and has yet to follow up with me for over a week. The only reason he sent what he did is because I came into your business and karen made calls after I told trisha that I haven't heard a thing from him after he said he would get back with me
The unit has a failure in the frame, you are saying the unit is not worth anything and you can't really sell it because of the issues. So again I am screwed by the whole situation, from a repair that I still question due to the lack of knowledge of the people performing it, forest river not doing the right thing and just replace the unit with the same exact leftover 2018 wildcat 29rlx, or do a buyback at a respectful offer. They want you to buy it for 24k when fixed, if this repair is anything as described they will have restored it to a 24k realistic value. 4 uses less than 1k mileage towed and 40k to 24k with a jacked up frame that caused a crack in main side wall of the rv and has been in your service yard from july 8 to today oct. 3 2019, and who knows how long until I get back at least 2020
Sorry but I really don't think they are listening to you, I really can't see if you go up the chain with just all the bs that has gone on, the time involved that an executive wont say okay enough is enough make this 1 customer happy. We can write off a 18k our cost rv to make all this go away, we don't have a pissed off customer, a work staff that can actually do work, and a dealer that doesn't have a customer every day calling, texting, coming into a showroom and has to discuss an issue from july and now it is oct. The profits they make this is peanuts and the negative publicity this will generate. It is well worth sending this email to the next guy up and let him read it, let him send it even higher. Contact me directly this will show me how customer service is the goal for them. If he or anyone else wants every single email dealing with everything I will be glad to send it. Three months to get a schedule appointment is ridiculous, or it shows how much crap they produce that has to go back to the factory and thru the line along side ones that will be coming back soon. If a car maker took months just to get you in for a warranty issue they at least would give you a loaner. Instead we the people who pay for rv and have to wait 1/2 year to get a unit fixed and return to us are screwed for that time. We can't ask questions because they can't answer questions, don't understand their own procedures, and how metal is effected by camber and then re-camber, heat ect.. Just for the record certain metals cant have excessive heat applied, welded on without causing brittle fatigue, and oh the big one welding on I beam faces. I don't know how many of these apply because I cant get answers.
Sorry but if they are not going to listen to my complaint, answer it with correct answers directly with me it falls on you and your company. American family rv the one I came in and bought from. My frustration can either be passed and stressed how this could be resolved but it will come to you first. If you want me to direct it somewhere else give me the email addresses, phone numbers and I will be glad to cc you on everyday emails they will get along with every forum posting, and bbb complaint I make. If I buy from a car dealer I would be in the owner office of the dealership getting this straight, sorry but that is the cost of doing business with a person that paid good money expects company's to live up to their word and do the right and fair thing. Yes they have a right to make a repair I have the right to have it done in a timely manner and an expectation to have something last more than 4 uses and not have to go back to the factory for the extensive repairs. Depreciation is with everything, but I am losing double due to a factory repair that everyone including you will say it is not original it has been worked on. So who should compensate me for that, oh forest river.
I think that if you have the pull you say you do that we could and should be in a better place, and forest river would step up 1 time for you
Will never buy a forest river product again. Anyone thinking about it do not do it. The reviews are real they don't care about you and your rv once it is sold, and from what I am seeing is the warranty isn't worth much either due to the time it is taking to address. Going on 4 months so time repairs are made it will be over 6 months and into a new year 2020. Save your monet and move on from their products.
Did you find anyone to work with you to go after FR?
I too find FR irresponsible manufacture. My list as follows Here’s the latest list of issues
1 Valance fasteners stripped and or missing. (See Pics)
2 Stove cover hinge missing fastener. (Fixed).
3 Refrigerator light doesn’t attach to refrigerator wall. See Pics)
4 Sewer valve does not seal when closed. Every time cap is removed after tank drained flushed and closed. There is a cup of raw sewage behind cap due to faulty seal at valve.
5 Controller panel doesn’t turn on and off inverter at panel or in app due to missing cable from inverter to controller panel.
6 Water pump switch at exterior valve panel doesn’t work. See Pic)
7 Closet doors missing travel latches. (See Pic)
8 Front exterior compartment light has failed. (See Pic)
9 Protruding screw were customer/owner to make connection. (See Pic) OUCH!
10 Fan Blade broke. (See pic)
11 Construction TRASH left in heating floor ducting. (See Pic)
12 Questionable Quality workmanship? Gouges in floor, Trim pieces stapled with excessive gaps, Stripped out fasteners, ETC…
13 The rear roof seam appears to be blemished if not compromised
Sent from my iPad
14 The Bluetooth system control panel included in package E does not work. Note the A/C button on the left of pic 2 doesn’t turn inverter on or off also in app PIC3 top switch doesn’t function.
In previous pictures the cable that controls inverter is missing from assembly at factory? I believe that this is covered by warranty.
We just bought a brand new Wild wood travel trailer. Used it 3 times. Leak in the shower, half the outlets don't work, fireplace doesn't work, refrigerator does not cool, top entry lock is broke. We are at a permanent site and they want to charge us to come out. Very bad service. Our dealer tried to talk to the warranty guy for us and he was rude and obnoxious. .
Gutter not installed properly. Ceiling stapled, then smeared with caulking. It is turning more and more yellow...
I have not taken back to dealer because we are off on a job. Wondering if problems can be addressed in my area by mobile mechanic... 2019 palomino puma..3 slide all the staples are working out of paneling and the trim and door facings inside.
Water keeps filling tops of my slides because the gutter is lower in the middle that on the ends.
The ceiling where manufacturers smeared caulk to cover staples is yellow...

I purchased this Travel trailer brand new in April. It's been in an RV storage until last Friday. I am using it for an extended stay while building a house. We were not given even decent instruction on use so I've watched tons of videos. We couldn't get hot water to come on. So watched video and I stood outside while husband switched on the gas water heater. It lit as I watched and as I was checking the flame was blue and not orange.. I look up and the tail light located directly above it is MELTING. I immediately yelled to turn it off.. what genius puts a gas water heater directly below a plastic light cover?
This is a very dangerous error that could have burned my RV down and if we'd been inside us along with it!
I am waiting to hear what will be done and am interested to see if this has happened to others. There are a lot of small quality issues with the trailer, seams loose, shower doors leak, doors do not close because latches were not drilled properly, one side of storage wont lock... just makes me wonder what else is wrong that I can't see..

First trip the bed shocks broke, molding trim fell off wall corner trim on bed fell off sink fell out!!! Dallas oregon assembly's terrible when I bought it the wrong rear window was in and it took months and three try's to get it correct!!! With this type of quality control the only thing that makes me optimistic is your company will surely go bankrupt 🙏...
Read full review of Forest River2017 palomini 178rk travel trailer - horrid quality
Careless assembly, dangerous as well.
We purchased a factory new trailer. We found these factory defects:
Dangerous defects: (1) 3 way refrig was NOT installed according to manufacture's direction. The unit was NOT sealed to prevent carbon monoxide and other combustion gas byproducts from entering the trailer when refrig was operating on propane. Gaps at top and bottom were so wide my hand easily slid between Forrest River cabinet & refrig. There was NO exhaust gas deflector to direct gases out through the exterior vent panel. The floor of the microwave oven was NOT sealed to prevent exhaust gases from entering the cabin. (2) Tires are improper load range: 1700 pounds at 50 psi. Dry weight of the trailer is 3375 pounds. Maximum load exceeds the combined carrying capacity of the 2 tires even after deducting tongue weight. Tire disintegrated on a recent trip. (3) Propane heater was installed improperly. Instead of constructing a solid bed upon which the unit rest, the unit was installed with a narrow wooden board at the front (interior) end and the remaining weight was entirely supported by the inlet and exhaust pipes at the rear of the heater. These pipes are welded onto the heater. The exhaust pipe becomes very hot during use and the weld will eventually fail allowing carbon monoxide to enter the trailer.
Other non-lethal issues:
1. Upon collecting the trailer we found ALL faucets leaking and the drain in the bathroom sink disconnected because pipe to the holding tank was cut too short.
2. The breather pipe to the bathroom shower &sink holding tank leaked (we filled the clean tanks to determine leakage and this tank spilt water into the trailer).
3. The toilet was secured to the floor by 1 of 2 screws allowing it to rock side-to-side.
4. The medicine cabinet in the bathroom dropped off the wall after a trip. It was secured into 1/8 inch plywood with wood screws pointing upwards, instead of downwards. . .still 1/8th inch plywood is entirely inadequate for the load.
5. All paneling is secured only by staples, and many panels worked lose with normal use.
6. Wooden stick framing was installed inside the trailer, workers did NOT clean out the saw dust which continued to leak into the cabin during road trips.
7. Failure to seal necks of both toilet and shower holding tanks where the necks enter the trailer allowed road wind to enter the cabin and blow the saw dust about.
8. The toilet holding tank had 2 sets of holes drilled into the floor; the first set was placed in the wrong spot, and NOT covered; thereby allowing wind to enter and potentially rodent and reptiles.
9. None of the electrical wire was as the wiring plan indicated.
10. There was no 40A fuse in the converter to allow the convert to charge the battery.
11. The black thin metal fascia around the bottom of the trailer (exterior) was NOT supported by struts. One side blew off during a drive in a strong wind.
12. ALL shelving is 1/8th inch plywood, and ALL shelves collapsed with very light and normal load.
13. The common electrical grounds from the battery to the trailer frame are fewer than 5 inches from the tires. When the tire exploded, a piece of tire severed one ground; thus disabling the slide-out.
14. Neither of the two metal tire wheels (these isolate the tires from the trailer's insides) were installed properly. BOTH had gaps of 1/2 - 3/4 inch, allowing wind and rain to enter the trailer.
Several repairs I had performed under warranty. These were quickly approved and cost Forrest River approximately $4, 000 total. Those repairs that involved the dangerous and potentially lethal issue, because of my engineer's training, I performed.
In short, Forrest River produced a product that out their factory door was unsafe and unfit for use. There appears to be no quality control and the workers appear to be thoroughly disinterested in quality. The accounts appear to manage the company and will take all opportunities to increase initial profits while disregarding the back-end cost of warranty service.
