Fresh Direct has continued to allow delivery memberships to renew at a fee for existing customers but has failed to offer any delivery times. I am a longstanding customer and never experienced this problem until the last month. They seem to have oversold delivery capabilities so this is a combination of not meeting contract obligations and false advertising.

I made an order on Fresh Direct to be delivered on Wednesday 3/*** between 5pm and 8pm; I confirmed it before the deadline of Tuesday 11pm. On Wednesday 3/*** around 6pm I get an SMS, a call, and an email, all at once, notifying me that the order will be late up to 2h after time slot (therefore, might be late until 10 pm). I do NOT cancel my order and wait despite the 'inconvenience'. At 10:05 pm my order arrives. I live in a building, so I don't receive the package directly. I go to the lobby and the concierge hands me my order. It's only 1 bag despite having ordered more than $100 worth of food. I call FD but they say the wait might be 45min-2h and they'll call me back. I STAY AWAKE until midnight and get no call back. Next morning, no call, no call all day. I try calling again during the daytime with another phone and same thing, no response. I wanted to let them know my order was VERY incomplete and wanted to get it delivered as soon as possible, no need to refund. But they don't respond to calls, so I have to use the website to log this incident and request a refund. It's been more than 2 days and I still haven't received a response by email, despite them advertising it may take up to a full business day (it's been 2 full business days). I think they will eventually give me store credit... but what's the point of getting store credit if I'm not going to receive my groceries? I want them to deliver what they promised (it got billed for sure), and I probably wouldn't do business with them but unfortunately I can't leave my home due to respiratory risk.
