denial of insurance coverage
Yesterday I spent 20 or more minutes getting a quote for my automobiles. They said I would have to contact the motorcycle department for a quote on my 2015 570 polaris. Tonight I called for that insurance and was denied.
They asked how I used it and I explained we have 34 acres we manage for our personal deer hunting, using the UTV to mow with a pull behind mower, to tank spray Roundup herbicide (water based), plow the 2 1/2 acre field in clover or oats or turnips with UTV implements. The quoter said the flammable sprays was part of the reason for denial, but nothing we use is flammable. We have 70 small fruit trees that we trim and spray and cultivate around. I have only exceeded 10 mph a couple of times at my residence and have never driven over 10 mph at the farm. I am sure you insure daredevils hellbent on destroying their UTV, but peaceful farming use is not covered.
I was calling using your piecemeal system to get quotes for auto, UTV, $2-3 million in umbrella and finally my homeowners.

My car was stolen March 11 2017.. My car was found about 2 weeks later, GEICO claimed it to be a total loss... now it's been over 2 months and they have NOT paid my claim or fixed my vehicle. Going through"investigation process" bank accounts, phone records and they have NOT found anything, but still have not paid my claim... No one answers their phone or calls you back.. I have never missed a payment or been late with paying my premium... I am so fed up with this damn company... Been doing research and see they do this with almost all their clients. This needs to stop

I've been with Geico for 6+ yrs. for the first time my policy cancelled. I hav had 3 major changes this past 2.5 weeks. Address change because we had to move. Policy change twice. Removed my son which then they sent me a cancellation letter and a week later I added my daughter. And bank info has changed.
When I got the cancellation I remembered him telling me they have to cancel and then start it over so I didn't realize mine was getting cancelled because I just got new insurance over the phone with you.
So now you want me to pay 700$. ?
You won't reinstate me because of a one time lapse in payment and in life ### happens. Really? I can't pay 700$. I told her I have to leave Geico and all she said was sorry. You guys don't care about your customer at all?
I will report to the bbb if I've been treated unfairly.
Please consider reinstating me. I was an excellent customer. Doesnt that mean anything? I just told your last rep how much I loved Geico. Now I'm in disbelief. I just moved I don't even have the mail. Ugh. HELP PLEASE
I had the same issue with you. They raised my amount about 50%, and after I paid that price 3 months later, they told me, I still owed them money, because I didnt signed the waive form! I have with them for 7 years, I always have the same coverage, even the time I paid 50% more, I called them and told them I want the everything same! And they never mention about any waive form... So if I need keep my policy, I will paid double compare to what I paid before... If I cancelled, I only get 30 bucks back, because I already use my "more coverage" policy for 3 months, I owed them the money...
Well I took everyone off and found an awesome new place and I'm happy. But I will tell anyone...do not use geico!
There's a story out there about a couple that had their car die so they pulled off the side of the road and onto the dirt. When geico tow truck got there they said they aren't allowed to tow a car that's parked on dirt. True story!
no one getting back to me
I was rear ended with the other party at fault. Geico convinced me to use my own insurance to speed the process. The adjuster didn't show up until two days after he promised, then continued to try and tell me it was only cosmetic damage. I had to demand proof that the frame of the car was not jeopardized as I have two small children to keep safe. Only then did they do a tear down to confirm infact i was correct and the car needed to be totalled. Now the car has been totalled and no one will call me back. Now I only have a couple of days left with the rental car and am not able to.purchase a new car until geico gets their act together

A GEICO insured client backed into my car in a parking lot on April 23, 2017. As she was backing up I honked my horn. It didn't work. She got out of her Dodge Journey after she'd hit me. My son was in the car with me.
I called GEICO and told them what had happened. They sent me two emails and a claim number:

They called me a few days later and said they can't find the person who hit me. I had a picture of the woman's GEICO card along with her vehicle ID #. I gave them all the information on the GEICO card.
Days later they called me and said they can't find her and she doesn't answer her phone or mail and they can't satisfy the claim.
Really? I think the DMV will find her since I have her Vehicle ID#. I have her policy number also, but apparently that doesn't mean anything to GEICO.
Unbelievable.

car insurance being dropped
My daughter just received a letter today about being dropped by the insurance company, due to two accidents that occurred. The first one that happened was during the time she was leaving her job and she had backed up to keep her front end of the car from being in the way of traffic, and when she backed up there was a car so close behind her that she just bumped his license plate, and when she got the letter today it stated that the guys damage was over $600 worth of damage, which was bull ###. I believe what happened the guy damaged his car more and then called in the claim, worst case he had some damage to his car already, and wanted my daughter to fix it. I used to have faith in Gecko but after what they did to my daughter, and after reading what they did to other customers, I will never be able to trust them anymore.

I have just got off the phone with geico's representative and I am furious to her comments and informing me of my claim not being able to be processed under the finding that my motorcycle would not be considered a theft.
The houston police department consider it a theft. All paperwork, forms and statements between myself, the police, and geico were accepted as a theft.
My scenario is no different from one handing their vehicle keys to a valet with the understanding that your vehicle would be safely stored for you and returned upon your request. Then, when asking the valet for your vehicle, the valet simply saying, "I don't have it.."
The claims representative stating she had recently sent me an email is either untrue, or still has inaccurate information in my file.
I wasn't expecting much in terms of compensation, nor did I expect to be treated this way.
Not only will I fight this decision with geico over $3000 or $4000, it is now out of principle.
Thoroughly disappointed,
G. King

arbitration decision
To whom it may concern,
I am disagreeing with an arbitration decision that found me to be 100% at fault. I was unaware that an auto claim was made against my policy and Geico never notified me to gather pertinent information/updated statement of the facts of the case. The details of the arbitration are terribly inaccurate and I was not able to find out if a police report was obtained by Geico. Both myself and the other party had to report to court when I contested the details of the police report and the unjustified failure to yield stop/ticket I had received. The other party had received a reckless driving ticket and I don't think this was ever known by Geico and should have been considered important data in determining the decision in the arbitration. There was also no diagram indicating that I had crossed over the the middle of the road when I was hit and therefore the other party was far enough away for me to safely cross over. Had she had not been speeding, she would have not hit me.
Geico has failed to properly represent and advocate my case by failing to contact me to inform me that a claim was made against my policy but most of all I was not given the right to present an accurate statement to the arbitrator. When I received my updated renewal policy 3 months after the arbitration decision was made, I was shocked to see that I had been charged with an at fault accident and my premium was increased over $400 a year. I am seeking that the at fault accident be stricken from my policy and the policy be credited the additional $400 surcharge.
The following are all the information needed to research my complaint:
Date of incident-June 5th 2016
claim number-[protected]-0101-01
policy holder-Vincent Marino
policy number-[protected]
Driver-Desiree Marino
I am a college student who is on a fixed income and this is an unjustified surcharge that could have been avoided if Geico would have communicated with me during the arbitration process. Please contact me immediately to remediate this problem.
Thank you
Desiree Marino
Oh I can relate this just happened to me and I do thank you for posting your complaint. Perfect example of what happened to me. I was not never notified as well. How can they make an arbitration decision without the other party to speak their side of the story! Crooked companies is all I can say. It is disgusting. I have been with the same company for 30 +years do you think that went up in my defense no mam they did not!
claim
My local damage adjuster Sean treated me very poorly and was very rude. He made me feel as if I was a scam artist or a criminal because I asked for a cash out which I would normally be entitled to. In fact He offered it to me originally. But when I was not happy with my replacement parts he totally turned into a different person and began to harass me and degrade me because I'm financing my car. And I didn't want to go through Auto World the body shop which he referred. If I'm paying a deductible I'm entitled to use my coverage to replace the parts that were stolen and not be cohersed into taking parts (seats) that don't properly fit. How dare they except me to put my children in seats that are leaning to the left and not properly secured and than have the adsicity to get annoyed and mad at me because of it. I asked for the cash out only because of they treated me and how they became irritable ALL because I was being very particular regarding the seats. WHICH I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE! Because of the way this went I will be cancelling my insurance I rather pay more money else where than be treated unfairly and bullied. Unacceptable!
claims
I got into an accident on Friday April 14th, 2017 at apoximtly 5:00 pm est. I filed my claim around 6 pm that day. I wasn't assigned an adjustor on my behalf untill Tuesday the following week after I sat on the phone for 2 hours harassing customer service to get me in contact with someone that could help me. The case was decision was wrong in my opinion and my lawyers. The evidence I provided shows that I'm not in the wrong at all, I've had multiple lawyers tell me I shouldn't be liable at all. My adjustor settles at 80/20 on 20% on my policy. I believe this was injustice to my claim. I'm not happy with how I was treated and how evidence, that I was told even by my adjustor shows I'm not in the wrong, had to settle at 80/20. I would like someone higher to review and make a unbiased desision over my claim. My lawyers and I believe the other person that is involved is 100% responsible for this accident. The accident happened on Clinton st in West seneca, New York. I was driving behind the vechile that hit me, the vhechile pulled over off the road and out of the single lane, as I was passing safely and legally, the vehicle pulled out in front of me causing the accident. When she started pulling out in front of my all four of my tires locked up in my lane between the yellow line and the white shoulder line. The other vehicles driver lied to the adjustor and said I went into oncoming traffic around her. However the evidence in my tire marks show that I was legally in my lane completely. I believe this was settled because her adjustor believed her lies and not the evidence. I pay every month on time and I expect the services that should be provided for me. Also I believe the decision was wrong and needs to be changed. If nothing is done I do not plan on staying with Geico. My family has been with Geico for as long as I can remember and I've never had problems before. I am the driver and policyholder of the Pontiac g6. Claim number is Claim # [protected] please contact me if you need pictures and the police report. It is all on the claim file.
horrible communication
I filed a claim with geico on march 27, 2017. Your insured hit my car while it was parked. My insurance has been covering everything and my rental is about to runs out. We have attempted to call geicos adjustor vanessa several times and she has yet to return one phone call regarding this claim. Geico needs to cover the remaining expenses for my rental because it runs out tomorrow. I am going to b left without a car now because the geico adjustor, will not return any phone calls to me nor to my insurance company.
I would appreciate it if someone would at least return my phone call to take over the rental expenses because this was not my fault. Vanessa hill is the adjustor assigned to this claim
adjuster joe lopez
I have sent Joe Lopez several messages about my claim [protected] and even asked to speak to his supervisor and Geico stills wants to pay me on a car they compared mine to and it has a v-6 not a V-8 like mine, a totally different car. Its funny how big companies like yours take advantage of the public that keep you in business. I have been in the Automobile business for 15 years . I know what cars are worth. You have to be one of the worst Insurance companies out there right now and it will be my mission to discredit your company on social media whenever I can

Accident Date: March 24, 2017
Policy Number :
Local Claims Adjuster - Brian Charpiat settled the claim of the accident and total payoff our car. Mr. Charpiat gave a payoff check to me and stated that the funds for the check would not be available for at least 24 hours after depositing into our account. Check was deposited on 3/29/2017. Same check was returned/stop payment 4/3/2017. Wife had contacted claims department and spoke with Brinae Wilkerson and she'd informed my wife that another check was being sent via mail because the initial check was stopped. When I'd spoken with Brian Chariot, local Claims Adjuster, same day he didn't see that any check was being sent via mail. So Mr. Charpiat gave another check for the same amount and I'd went to the bank to deposit the 2nd check and get a list of our checking account status of the service charges and problems that we had incurred due to GEICO return/stopped payment on the 1st check. I'd called Brinae Wilkerson the same-day and she stated that she'd misinformed my wife about a check being sent via mail. Ms. Wilkerson stated that problems with our account had to be discuss
with the supervisor of the claims adjuster, who is Tony Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez requested all documentations showing proof of the problems we'd encountered. April 12, 2017 all documents were faxed and emailed to Mr. Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez has been avoiding our calls and have not return calls with all messages left. My wife had spoken today, 4/22/2017 with Brinae Wilkerson, and she tried to contact Mr. Hernandez with no success. She'd left message with Mr. Hernandez to contact us ASAP. Our phone numbers: home - [protected], Donald mobile number: [protected] and Patricia mobile number: [protected]. Please contact us ASAP so that we can solve this matter.
policy, driver, billing
I sent to GEICO company that my second driver has a policy with another company to could make down my monthly payment. They didn't accept the proofs that I sent to them saying that it is not specific, I think it is not fair because I sent a monthly payment plan and the cycles of billing a number of the policy with the driver name. Costumer services of GEICO didn't accept it. I was saying to them that it is not a legal issue what more they need I don't understand . This is unfair because my monthly payment it so high right now and they made something that I understand it is illegal I am the costumer I have the right to make changes in my policy any times that I need.
auto insurance policy
I just transferred my auto insurance after 4 years at progressive. It has been about a month. Payments made and all. Well, I get a letter from rmv saying my registration is revoked as of 4/13. I run to to the rmv and they said I have no insurance. I call geico who I am paying and spoke with Aaron. Aaron explained the registration was rejected as the vi. Was incorrect. Okayyyyyy, no one emailed or called me from geico. So he resubmitted as of 4/14 2:27pm. Keep calling it's still not all set and i driving unregistered? Seriously?i have never had. Such awful service. Geico takes no responsibility for covering me and now I can't drive until it's updated but still have to make sure I pay! Never ever has this happened to me with progressive . Needless to say anytime I ask for supervisor no one is around. I would like someone to help me! This has been the worst experience and now I have to pay uber to get to work but I can't I don't have the extra money soooo I will be driving illegally to my job.
claims scam
On March 7, 2017 I was rear ended in the state of New Jersey by a Mercedes Benz. At the time of accident me and my brother were in the car and driving at a normal speed of 25-30 miles per hour as we crossed the intersection but the other insured Mr. Nicholas Danna was driving recklessly and rear ended into my car. We called the police as me and my brother suffered from severe back pain at the time of impact. During regular questioning Nicholas lied to the officer and stated that he rear ended into my car because a blue chevy truck slammed into him pushing him into my car. And he claimed the truck did not stop – hit and run case. But the truth is that there was no truck behind him and no one slammed into him. It was his fault completely as he was distracted and hit my car from the back. Police officer did his investigation and decided that Driver 2 (Mr. Nicholas Danna) was at fault. The officer did mention in his report as well that Nicholas Danna was at fault.
Once we got home I called the claims department to report the accident. The claims handling representative who I spoke to took all my information. In my first call with the claims department I clearly mentioned that I was hit from the back and Nicholas is has given incorrect information to the officer and is claiming to be hit from the back by a truck. His tail light was already broken and bumper had scratches.
Next day – I got a call from Mr. Erik Daniel (Claim examiner assigned for my case). He took my recorded statement and in my statement I repeated exactly what happened and I also told him that Nicholas has lied to the officer and is claiming to be hit from the back by a truck because he doesn’t want to accept his fault and liability and at the same time wants Geico to get his car fixed from front and back.
Real Issue – Even after urging repeatedly that Nicholas is lying BUT NOONE BELIEVED MY STATEMENT and some days later I was told by Erik that the they have concluded their investigation and they believe Nicholas was hit from the back because he had a lot of damage onto his bumper. Nicholas even tried to amend the police report but the Police officer was also not convinced by his statement and clearly mentioned that Driver 2 is at fault but Michelle Cloen (Nicholas claim examiner) did not accept the Police report too and were not ready to accept the liability.
I was really frustrated and upset because my car was damaged badly from the accident and even though I was not at fault I had to pay for my liability per the outcome. Finally I decided to take things in my hand and I went around the area like a mad man going from one shop to another in the area and asking them if anyone saw anything from March 7th accident. Sometimes I was even asked to come back to the shop/gas station by the employees to speak to other employees who worked there at that time. Then finally after few days of running around I finally got to know from one of the bicycle shop owners that there is a camera at the intersection where the accident happened and I can go to the police station to request a video footage. By this time I was already informed by the claims department that they cannot help me further because they completed their investigation and they don’t think it is Nicholas fault. The next day I obtained the video footage from the police department. As the video was big in size I could not upload on Geico website and so I worked on it all night to take screenshot of every second of the footage and upload it on the website. And I even send the original video footage dvd to the claims office by UPS.
Conclusion – After all the headaches I finally sent the dvd that proved that Nicholas lied to the police officer, Geico and to everyone. And finally Nicholas was found at fault. But by this time I had already gone through a lot of trauma, pain, suffering to do the investigation myself and go running around with my bad back pain. And what I got from Geico is nothing but a slap on my face that even though I constantly said that Nicholas is lieing they did not believe me at all. I even called the Geico special investigation unit and left them a couple of voicemails. I did not get any calls from anyone yet.
This is NOT OVER YET. My car is brand new with just 4700 miles driven. It was fixed but you can still tell by just looking at it that the car was in an accident. My car value has gone down. And for this reason I claimed for diminished value. I get a called from the Auto adjuster supervisor that even though my claim is just for $4200 they can just pay $1500 for it. This is really ridiculous because they are just low balling and trying to save money. They don’t care of what mental torture I went through and what trauma I am still going through after the accident.
customer service rep
Hello,
There's a rep by the name of Fion Fergueson, who uses her job to look up people information to harass them and threaten them. I believe it's extremely horrible to have business going with people working for your company in Buffalo ny, who looks up policies for personal use to create havoc. This is something that needs to be looked into.
