October 18th my RV was taken into the Fort Pierce location for a scheduled appointment. At that time I told Chelsea what my 3-4 issues were. I then was told I had to pay 500+ dollars to "assess the problems". I did as asked. On October 24th I called to get clarification and Chelsea told me that my RV had been diagnosed with the exact things I said but that they would get the pricing on the parts from Newmar and then get the approval from my warranty group.
I called 5 times from that last contact until November 5th and received no call backs and often times the voice mail was full. So, I drove to General RV to ask in person what was going on. Chelsea told me that "they were having difficulties getting the prices from Newmar and sometimes that happens." So while I waited there, I called Newmar. It was not until this same morning that General had emailed for pricing. So, for basically 3 weeks nothing was done. Newmar told me they had the parts in stock. I shared this with Chelsea, and she apologized and said they would get on this asap. On November 11th, I again went to General because we had an upcoming trip, and I was told Chelsea was moved to another department and they would "take care of my coach ASAP." I spoke to Casey, and he said he would handle my case going forward. I picked up my RV and asked if he could call me as soon as the parts came kin. He said he would. He did call me that day and said they "were working on it". I went on my trip, received no phone calls and today is December 2nd. I did try to leave the service department 2 messages, but voicemails are full. You cant leave a message with the operator because it "is not allowed."
So finally, today I called my warranty group just to see if anyone has reached out. Nope, no one has called to ask for approval, to initiate a claim, or any other matter. I have owned my business or 30 years, and this is my 5th RV. This is the most piss poor customer service of ANY organization I have ever been a part of. I will go there tomorrow, demand my money back and l will visit every single forum, social media, RV rally and let everyone know just how pathetic the General in Fort Pierce is. It is truly sad because I know General has bought out some great companies like Independance and surely will destroy their reputation next. The worst part is I never send letters, file complaints so it truly shows how incredibly horrible the experience has been.
