goeasy Scammers!!!

Easy financial are a bunch of crooks. I paid off the loan September 8 and they redeposited the money back into the account Sept 26 and continued to charge me bi-weekly payments without even calling me and letting me know anything. After I spoke to them they said they didn’t receive anything but how can you return money that you’ve never received. They then proceeded to tell me it’s on my bank and I should speak to them, which I did and my bank told me everything went through and there was no issues on their end. I then called them back again and they tell me that the account number was wrong when I submitted the payment but thankfully I had proof that it was correct. These people will never take accountability for anything. The amount of times they tried to blame me. I then had to repay the loan again and they said that they would honour the amount from Sept 8 and refund the funds they took after because the loan was clearly paid off. I, however spent 2 weeks calling their corporate office constantly being told something different and then told that no they will not refund the money and it’s not their fault. It made no sense to me because I provided all the proof that the payment was received and took out of my account and also had someone over the phone apologize and told me a refund would be initiated. All they had to say to me was we don’t know what you’re talking about and one of their employees must have been mistaken and there’s no way they can give me money back.

Not only did I pay off the loan but paid extra because of their system. I honestly can’t stress enough to stay off from easy financial. I’ve took out loans before and will never use them again!

Recommendation: Run away

goeasy I have had several loans with Easy financial over the years and have had no problems

I have had several loans with Easy financial over the years and have had no problems. In 2021, I paid off the amount owing, shown on the credit report $9519., and I had called to get the exact amount of the pay off and was told by the employee (Natasha) at the Orleans Branch on St. Joseph Blvd., that this was the correct amount. Subsequently, they called to tell me that the amount on the credit report was not the correct amount but I had already dropped off the cheque. I requested that they send me, in writing, the information on how they arrived to that conclusion and what the remaining amount was and how it was calculated. I did not receive anything from them, the employee I spoke to told me the questions were above his pay grade. Contacted their billing office and received no information. They continue to try and take the bi-weekly amount out of my account but I have stop payment on this in September .

They were deceptive about the interest rate and about fees.

HE ADDED IN 'home and auto insurance' when I never applied for or accepted it!

The 'manager' I spoke to was unhelpful.

They sold me on a '6%' interest rate but it's actually 46%!

Home and auto insurance is $443?

What?!

I am getting a lawyer!

I allowed my friend to use me as a reference. When they call, I state how I no longer keep in touch with that person and that they moved to a different province. They promised me several times to remove me as a reference and they still keep calling. It's only leaving me voicemail after voicemail. One lady told me that only the person who used me as a reference can remove my name off the file. I am conducting a complaint to the Ontario Consumer Protection and will also be uploading my conversations to social media for publicity. This needs to stop. They obviously aren't educated enough to know what the rules and laws are surrounding their employment at loan agencies.

goeasy These people will gladly give you money

These people will gladly give you money. Then tell you at the VERY end a non-budging 50% interest. If something happens and you miss a payment you can guarantee after 3 phone calls in the same hour you and your family will be ***. How they get phone numbers to a family member you rarely talk to beats me. Not to mention the fees on top of fees if that incident were to arise.
Logging in to find out your credit score is impossible. This improving your credit score seems non existent. Getting the loan paid of sooner than your planned end date is in fact possible, but again prepare to be *** with constant loan increase offers and interest rate decreases that you can't opt out of when they give you the option. I am expecting more fees by the time I have paid this loan off which will be in a few payments.
Let me tell you, it has been 3 years since the day I signed the paper and it is one of my only regrets.

I took out a loan in 2019 to be repaid through bi-weekly installments over a period of two years. Now, more than two months have passed since I settled the loan, yet I've noticed that withdrawals are still being made from my account, with claims that I owe additional money. This situation has led me to question the legitimacy of a high rating on a website when it contrasts sharply with a low customer satisfaction score.

not impressed with this place at all, I applied for a loan someone called the first day and said they would call me back two days later someone else calls and says ok I have everything we need and I will submit it and you will have a call back within the hour, neadless to say never got a call so I called and email and left messages and finally two days later someone calls back and again says I will call you right back and have not heard from anyone in a week now, spoke with a representative over the chat feature and they said they would have someone from the branch call me and that has now been a week as well and still nothing...the worst customer service ever.

goeasy Absolutely disgusted with this company

Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Like the hundreds of thousands of people around the country, I was laid off due to COVID.
I am in a Debt Management Program after a series of deaths in the family resulted in me falling behind, and with EasyFinacial only being in it for the money, and with their fake "We are here to help" bs I was not able to get back on top of my payments as the only help I was offered was to make multiple payments in a month, which is impossible to do when you don't have any money.

So, after committing to the program I was in for over a year and making early payments, I miss two payments due to COVID and another death and now these heartless people pull out of the program and have already started *** me with TWO calls in less than half an hour.
I informed the credit managers of my job loss and I still made payments during COVID.

These guys and all that work for them are heartless and profit of the vulnerable.

goeasy I am on my 3rd loan renewal with goeasy Ltd

I am on my 3rd loan renewal with goeasy Ltd. The first 2 were small loans. The last, and I mean the LAST loan I'll ever have with this company again, *** My dog had fallen ill and it was going to cost me thousands of dollars for treatment. When I went to the Cambridge On branch on Hespeler Rd to sign my papers, I noticed a charge for Home and Auto package. I never take any insurance or extras that they offer just to take me for more money. When I said this to the BRANCH MANAGER she proceeded to tell me that I would be stupid not to keep it as it LOWERS my monthly payment. I said it shows in my account that I do not ever sign up for any of it. My vet was waiting for my go ahead for the treatment for my dog. I signed the papers and left. ***. She costed me around an extra $800 which I have to pay the interest on now. I can't wait to see what happens when I get to the end of my loan. I have heard all the nightmares. Worst business practise in this city.

If there's a holiday without fail the payment will come out 2 days early with every other institution it's the business day after the holiday. Also if your payment is on the 1st it won't come out until the 2nd in hopes of you going over draft amd they charge you $75 missed payment fee disguised as several different things to get around the laws. Also the first flag should be that its 100% interest rate. Now it doesn't file as 100% interest as it's bundled with a bunch of bs legal terms but if you borrow $1500 you pay back $3000 hence the 100% interest. They just call it other stuff like initiation fee or service fees or administrative fees. In the end they are charging 100% more than you borrow. Plus after you've been approved they transfer you to a really aggressive sales person trying to sell you on a ridiculous package that noone and I repeat noone should ever accept.

Got approved for a 6K loan to help pay for college, honestly didn't know what I was getting myself into and this was 4 years ago. Fast forward to November 2nd had a family member pay off the rest of the loan for me so I didn't have to pay 46% interest rate. Fast forward to July this year and I get a phone call from an individual telling me I have a balance of $647 and explained that I payed the loan off (I have receipts). So I went to my bank (Very helpful btw) to pull transaction records and from November to July 16 they charged me 221.15 on seven different occasions. So fast forward to yesterday. I went to Easy Financial in my town in Orleans, On and explained my situation, they said they would stop charging me and they would give me a call on Monday. I asked them to e mail me and they turned it down immediately. They ended up charging me anyways and got fed up and called my bank again today to put in a fraud claim.

This company just take advantage of people who are in need. Even if you send all the proof for your insurance to cover your one payment. They send you to collection and charge you the interest.

goeasy With covid-19 craziness, sought out a settlement of my loan with goeasy (easy financial)

With covid-19 craziness, sought out a settlement of my loan with goeasy (easy financial). After submitting my payment on March 29th. I did not release any form of settlement or release letter until April 22nd, despite constantly asking how long the process would take (with no response from representatives). May 28 (one month later) I noticed that goeasy still appeared on my credit report - the amount was the exact difference of my "settlement" amount. I called and asked to speak to the rep I dealt with and was told she was on break. I said this was a two month unresolved matter and to call me back within 24 hours. Shocking, I didn't get an call back. June 1 I emailed both reps I dealt with tellling them of the situation and was advised that this was not easy financial but the credit bureau and that I would have to dispute there... Funny thing is now that I've contacted go easy, the report is gone so I somehow don't think the credit bureau was in the wrong here. These people will play with you, twist you around and dishonour any deal they make with you

goeasy I refinanced my original loan and received the documents to sign

I refinanced my original loan and received the documents to sign. I requested that the optional services (LPP, credit optimizer) not be included as per my original contract. When I received the documents to sign, they included the optional services (LPP, credit optimizer). I called the agent and requested that they be removed. He sent me the documents to sign, which I did. My next payment came out and they did not remove the services. | contacted the agent again and ask that they be removed. He sent me an email, which I responded to and signed, then he sent me another email a day later again. I did not sign as I had just signed the first. After numerous back and forth with the agent, I discovered that he sent me documents with the incorrect account number so when I signed, it was not processed correctly. Eventually it was worked out but it took 8 weeks so I was paying for services that I did not want, costing me almost $200. I requested that the fees be credited to my account as I was paying for services that I did not want and had requested be removed from the beginning. My request was ignored.

goeasy I have a loan from queen street location couple years ago

I have a loan from queen street location couple years ago .i went in looking for maybe like 2000 to help catchup on some bill.nina said im approved for 9,000 n that i could pay off some of my smaller cards .but i had a couple cards were like 5000 n 10000 n she gave me a payment of 600 a month now since i pay 900 every two weeks for rent 500 on insurance doesnt leave much for emergencies like ive had expensive car repairs to last couple years too .so once i called her again she said if i pay another $25 she can reduce my payment to half so i went n while i was there i heard her talking to a co worker about another client saying she didnt have funds in her account again.anyways i got my contract a again n all she took off was like $40 off each payment .still im paying 500 still not manageable.ive asked a guy manthan try to get me like payment of 130 bi weekly until my loan is paid however long it takes but he wont.i guess they know people will not be able to pay the whole loan back so they can eventually send to collections.i guess then my payments will b whatever i can afford .so il see what happens .

goeasy I took out a loan with "easy financial" recently and was verbally promised (multiple times over the phone) that they would be taking the first

I took out a loan with "easy financial" recently and was verbally promised (multiple times over the phone) that they would be taking the first payment out of my bank account on December 27th. On Boxing day, I decided to check my account. My account activity states that they withdrew the payment on December 24th, before I had the chance to replenish my account for said payment, leaving my account severely overdrawn and also placing me under an additional NSF fee of 50 dollars.

I called this morning to find out why this happened and got the excuse that "because of the holiday" the payment is post dated for the 27th but shows up now in my account activity. Yes, my account activity has been post dated to December 29th, BUT the withdrawal made by "easy financial" is dated for the 24th. Not dated for the 27th.

*** I'd like to know who plans on refunding me the NSF fee. I'm also consulting with my lawyer to clarify the legitimacy of the "contract" that I signed with them as well, as I now see that they financially enslave people in exchange for their loans.

We're in the middle of a pandemic, it's Christmas time, and they're capitalizing on that. Absolutely disgusting.

goeasy I have been asking for the payout amount of my personal loan, but the response was poor and inaccurate

I have been asking for the payout amount of my personal loan, but the response was poor and inaccurate. I had a personal loan since July 20, for $9809.40 with an annual interest rate of 47.1020%, payable within 4 years starting from my first payment date on July 30. It's an open contract loan, allowing me to pay off the principal at any time to avoid additional interest. After calculating the remaining principal balance, I paid $1700 on June 21, and notified Easy Financial of the prepayment, requesting an updated remaining balance. They sent a statement indicating that after my $1700 payment, I still owed $2796.92 as of July 18, 2022. The statement also showed an outstanding balance of $7004.91 as of July . I contacted Easy Financial for clarification and sent a follow-up email, which was ignored. I need the correct payout amount to settle my loan in full and would appreciate a prompt and accurate response, as I suspect the figure provided includes interest, not just the principal amount.

goeasy Easy home in Saskatoon on22Nd steeet is the worst

Easy home in Saskatoon on22Nd steeet is the worst. I got a living room set from them. I called and had them come and move my items to my new residence. So that would mean that they have my new address and you would think they would have updated that. Nope. I have spoken to 3 different managers since there turn over is so much. Anyways there new manager is a little snotty [censored]. I spoke with her today and she was so Snotty I hung up on her and she called me back saying "hello it's me" in the most Creepiest voice ever. I ended up blocking her. What I am *** at it first there terrible customer service and second they do not update there information so then they blame the customer. The manager said we sent a text back in October and you replied yes so that means we can put your furniture on your credit and when you make your payments we will notify the credit agency. It helps re build your credit. Ok ummm I never gave permission. When asking for a copy of that she said nooooo. Then updating my banking information well they didn't enter that sooo they called and said I never made a payment. I went down made the payment but asked for a letter saying it was there fault and all I got was snotty attitude.

goeasy Took a loan out during the pandemic to help with bills

Took a loan out during the pandemic to help with bills. The rep offered me an amount, and I requested that the payments be made as cheap as possible. The rep told me what the cheapest amount was that she could do, which I ended up accepting. Their website was always vague when giving information about your current loan, but I thought to question it. The website was only recently updated to actually show what you're paying for.

Now, around a year later, I had to make a modification to my loan ( going to semi-monthly payments, instead of bi-weekly ), and the form they gave me showed that I have had optional additions added to my loan that I was never informed of, or agreed to. I've been paying an additional $70~80 per payment for something I've never asked for, used, or wanted. The cherry on top is the fact that their old website even stated I did not have any additions on my loan, ***

When I took a visit to the office, I was told " oh yes, I can see here that she only quoted you a price, and not what was included. I'm sorry, we aim to be more transparent now. "

I asked if there was anything that could be done about this, as it was around $1,700 worth that they took from me. I even told them they I don't expect a refund, but would appreciate it if those funds went towards my loan instead. Two weeks later, I get a response " My apologies, there is nothing we can do for you. We will make sure to not do this in the future. "

Easy Financial misled me in to paying more for a loan than I had to by adding Loan Protection, and Credit Optimizer when I clearly stated I only wanted the cheapest option for the loan, nothing else. Easy Financial admitted they were in the wrong, but still won't do anything about it.

I really wish I would have looked up reviews about the company before accepting their "help" during the pandemic.

goeasy *** I took out a small loan of $600 in January to help me get

I took out a small loan of $600 in January to help me get out of a bad spot. After receiving 2 NSFs I sent an email requesting that my withdrawal date was moved up 1 day to avoid fees (I only use this account for bills and such so I don't always have money in there). At this point, I was working 12 hour days due to Covid and because I couldn't get in contact with anyone to switch my withdrawal dates I decided to pay off my loan to avoid having to think about it. I went online and attempted to pay out my loan. Their website doesn't allow you to pay the loan out fully so I paid it down to $2. Somehow, I was charged the full withdrawal amount again the next week. Because I didn't transfer money into my account as I believed to only have $2 left, the payment bounced causing an NSF fee. Speaking with anyone at this company is an absolute nightmare. Not only are they completely unprofessional but downright incapable of dealing with people's finances. I was so fed up I just paid the loan out even though I was still unsure how I now had $200 balance and was not provided any answers.
When I made the final payment, I verified over the phone that my loan was paid out and closed as well as requested and received emailed verification that my loan was paid and closed. I asked them to closed my account and not to contact me again.

The next week I get an automated emailed stating I had a remaining balance. When I sent this to the branch and questioned this, they acknowledged their mistake and apologized. 2 days later, I get an email with no context, subject, signature saying "do you want to discuss this over the phone or email"? They explain that there was another charge that came out the same day and that it's my fault for not knowing? Shouldn't a company be able to see when payments are taken out? Shouldn't you check that before you confirm with someone that their account is closed? I argue this obviously because I'm absolutely fed up at this point. I've been more than reasonable with this *** business. I once again, do not have the time or energy to argue with these people so I say call me and take payment. I receive a reply back asking to send my payment information - card #, expiry and CVV over email to close the account ? is this a joke? Im dumbfounded at this point and I genuinely do not feel safe providing any sort of payment to this company. Asking for payment information over email? That's absolutely never allowed. This leads me to think that whoever's going to take my payment over the phone is trying to get my details and I now do not want to pay them at all.

Needless to say, this has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I'm not sure why they hire at these places to deal with people's finances but it's mind boggling

goeasy Out of curiosity, I counted EasyFinancial or GoEasy, regarding a potential loan

Out of curiosity, I counted EasyFinancial or GoEasy, regarding a potential loan. After I was offered a loan amount that I wasn't interested in, I let EasyFianncial know. They told me they would remove my file and take me off their call list. I was happy with this response.

One week later, I began receiving a large number of text messages and phone calls from an area code outside of my City. I picked up one of the incoming calls and it was a different EasyFinancial branch based out of Toronto. The Branch Manager was the person calling me. He told me he could get me the original loan amount I was interested in. I told him I would "think about the offer", but didn't commit to anything. He seemed disappointed that I didn't agree to a loan with him on the spot.

The next day, I received another call from the same Branch Manager. It was regarding the same thing. ***. I told the Branch Manager to send me the details to the loan in the form of an email so that I could review the information further. He didn't send me anything but instead proceeded to verbally tell me the details of the loan. He told me I had until 4 PM to decide one way or another. At approximately 2:45 PM, I started getting bombarded with text messages from this branch about the loan offer. The texts told me, "you have an hour to decide on a loan, or else we will do another credit check on your account".

***, I responded to the text message, "I decline the offer, please do not contact me anymore and do not perform another credit check on my account". Shortly after, I received a follow-up text message that said, "I know you gamble, and we are trying to help you". I was freaked out. I have gambled online before, but in no way ever ran into issues with gambling, and never disclosed any gambling with EasyFinancial, as it is none of their business regarding what I do on my personal time, and what I do with my own money. I called the branch after receiving this text and the branch manager hung up. This led me to believe that the branch manager was behind the text message about gambling.

I then called the "head office", which led me to speak with someone named Halle K. I explained the entire situation to her. Halle told me, "The regional manager will look into the case and investigate the case, but you will not be followed up with in the future". I was disgusted by Halle's response to a sensitive subject. The branch in question had analyzed my purchase history on bank statements and insinuated that I had a gambling problem that a loan could assist with. It was horrible. I explained this to Halle and asked her to put herself in my shoes, she still resisted. I sent her the texts in question.

In the email with the screenshots of the text messages in question, I asked Halle a question. I asked her, "If you had purchased from a liquor store on your transaction or bank statements, do you think it would be ethical or responsible for any financial institution to say, "I know you have a drinking problem, and we're trying to help" (even though you likely didn't have a drinking problem?". Halle never replied to this message.

I have since tried different methods of getting in touch with someone at EasyFinancial regarding this. I would like to speak to someone in a higher-up position within the company. ***. I am more than willing to delete this review if someone from the company contacts me directly, and we're able to have a conversation that leads to a solution. ***.

When I was finished paying off the loan I called Easy Financial to thank them for their service letting them know I was happy I finished paying off my loan they told me no that my loan was refinanced for another three years without my consent. They couldn't give me an answer to why it refinanced with my calculation I have already paid off this loan I have all the documents and receipts to show only the one receipts I made payment is cash I am unable to find but I know this loan is paid off. On Thursday, December 1st, I reached out to the company to process a significant payment towards my loan. The representative informed me that I could make the payment over the phone using a debit card or credit card. Inquiring if a bank transfer would be acceptable, the representative confirmed it would. Following this, I transferred the funds from my bank account, only to be later informed that bank transfers are not an accepted payment method. This miscommunication led to me incurring four days of interest charges while awaiting the bank to reverse the transaction.

On Monday, December 5th, I visited the branch to complete the payment in person, but the representative provided me with an incorrect loan number. As a result, I am once again accruing daily interest charges while the representative corrects the error. I requested to discuss a solution with a manager, but was told that none were available and that I would receive a callback, which never occurred.

I have a loan with easyfinancial. It seems many people have their hands in taking care of files, not just one person. I asked for a defferal of payment, I agreed to the email sent. I get 6 or more calls a day, plus texts and emails for payment. I reply that it's too be deffered and no one answers not even the person who was to do the defferal. I'm tired of all this. Only one person should be taking care of a file not 20 others. And replies should be done asap. I don't wish to do business with them anymore. Get yourselves together or it's the ombudsman next!

Would give a zero rating if possible. I decided to finance through a company which led me to this business. I cancelled the order less than an hour after placing it, and received two emails from the financing company and an email from goeasy, as well as an email from easyfinancial, confirming the cancellation. The email stated that EasyFinancial was refunded the money and I owed nothing. Despite this, I was charged for the order. I contacted them and a worker named Emilia M. insisted that I had to pay the full amount immediately, which was $718.34. After being on hold for 10 minutes while she consulted her manager, I cited the emails to her. She quickly changed her stance, assuring me that I did not owe anything and that there would be no further charges. When my phone died, I requested an email summarizing this information. She became unresponsive, and subsequent calls resulted in being told she 'wasn't available to speak on the phone' even though she was previously free. I informed them that I am seriously considering legal action, at which point they became uncommunicative.

I got a loan from this company. I fell on some hard times and ended up getting a mortgage on my home to help me pay my bills. My lawyer *** was given an amount to pay to cover my loan and he paid it on my behalf. On October 12th of 2021 I received an email from Easyfinancial stating my account was paid in full...Since then Easyfinancial has repeatedly gone into my account and tried taking the money they say I owe...I no longer use that account as they have caused me undue hardship in NSF charges and continue to tack on interest rates. I have had many phone calls from them and have blocked all their calls. I have many emails with them arguing about this loan. I am the only person in my home working and attempting to keep all the bills paid with a minimum wage job and one tenant rental income. I need them to stop. They now say in 90 days they are sending this to collections even though it was paid. They have damaged my credit report with reporting non payments.

October 19th I was in touch with easy financial and told them " Hello I need help I have my last payment comming out on the 20th and I have switched banks. So I need to either come in and pay it or etransfer can someone plz get back to me asap, thank you." in which I was told I owed them 271.00 total to pay off my loan the next day. Which I in fact did I sent it from my new account. They of course tried to debit my old account which in turn nsf on their end. After I sent them the final payment the sent ME money back 133.11 November 15th for some reason and then tried to re debit my old account 195.63 November 19th. When I got in contact they told me "I am looking into what may have happened, it looks like the $271.27 was never received."November 20th. and tell me that because that payment bounced I still owe 265.91 on November 25th.They just keep trying to tell me that my last payment bounced and I still owe them and it's overdue and is hurting my credit now, I have sent tons of proof and they keep getting someone else to email me I paid it off October 20th. I don't owe them any more money.

Back in November , I applied for a cash loan through an easyfinancial partner. After being informed that the loan didn't go through, I called easy and made them aware that the application was cancelled. They informed me that it was actually approved at which point I told them the loan had been submitted *** since I never received any money. I have explained the situation multiple time to Easyfinancial and they continue to harass me for payments. I've reported this to the RCMP, provided them with the case number and still they call.

These *** gave me a loan with a high but fair-for-the-circumstances interest rate in the beginning. Without being informed and without previously informing me of incoming rising interest rates- this loan is now at 43% interest DAILY. There is absolutely no way someone can pay this off in their lifetime without having all of the money all at once and that is getting harder and harder to do by the day. This is completely unreasonable and I was never ever informed of an interest rate this high - it's absolutely preposterous. Any help with this would be really appreciated. I am a 29 year old woman with my whole life ahead of me and this is seriously impeding my life in every way possible. Nobody can pay off 43% DAILY interest and this was completely changed without my knowledge of this happening an truly ruining my life. Your hep would be greatly appreciated.

goeasy Had a 42 month loan agreement with Easy Financial since Nov.2015

Had a 42 month loan agreement with Easy Financial since Nov.2015. I have had about 10 missed payments. Some of those were signed miss payment requests. On November 7 I had requested a finishing date and they were unable to provide me with one. The financial institution provided me with records of payments. I noticed for 83 payments that they did not deduct any money from the principal loan. The statements say they were putting $57.41 towards the principal but that balance $4972.89 for 83 payments. After three years I made $12720.25 and the principal remained the same. Please note during this period I had trouble at work with plant shutdowns. According to the statements I got from them they should of put 4190.93 towards the principal but did not, but the statement shows they did but it was never deducted. After five years I still have a principal balance $3440.41. They still unable to provide me a finishing date for this loan. I told them that I would be putting a stop payment on this because I believe there is so kind of *** activity on this loan. Please note I do believe in paying bills on time and I did try. Store 915 Easyhome in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, has provided a terrible experience. I had rented a washer and dryer from them with an agreement to pay via e-transfer biweekly. Despite this, I've been asked to submit bank statements repeatedly. They have incorrectly reported missed payments on my account. Dwayne from the store has been uncooperative and refuses to provide me with my statements. I've had to escalate the issue to the regional manager and provide them with my bank statements to prove that I have been making timely payments. Despite the evidence, my credit score has been negatively impacted, and I have not received an apology. I have requested standard documentation, such as invoices and statements regarding the alleged missed payments, but they have outright denied providing any such documents in writing. I intend to challenge the incorrect missed payments reported on my credit score, seek a refund, and demand that they retrieve the washer and dryer immediately.

Easy Financial has been fair for the most part. I was offered an opportunity to consolidate and refinance my current loan. I agreed to an interest rate of 29.99% but was charged an interest rate of 30.2370%. The contract mentioned both rates. I enquired and was reassured that the other rate was an annual interest rate and the representative offered to confirm and get back to me, which she never did.

After signing the contract and receiving the loan, I was double-checking the information and realized the mistake. I called to have this corrected and was faced with uncooperative service representatives. Even though they realized the mistake, they would not fix it. I would like this rate to be adjusted accordingly. This will cost me an additional $100.

goeasy Hi so I had a loan go into collections

Hi so I had a loan go into collections... I understand that this does happen but I was switching banks and made payment arrangements which I have emailed proof that this was the agreement to pay and that my account is active and up to date but then I got a letter in the mail that it was sent to collections I called in and no one is able to do anything for me and I have multiple times they provided me the numbers to call and none of them are even connected and are unwilling to work on it with me and find a resolution but now it's sent to collections and they say that there's nothing that they can do. I don't think that this is fair because I was fully committed to making the payments and even made the payment that they said that I missed I also proof of the transaction and now I am stuck with a bad debt write off on my credit file. Also on my credit file it says that all of my payments were made except for one this just doesn't seem right that they would send it to collections after one instance like that even when I went to the brand paid them and kept the account up to date. I want to get to some sort of resolution with this problem thank you. I'm still willing to pay it but I tried to talk to the debt agency and haven't been able to get a hold of anyone the line is disconnected I'd rather have this payment through easynfiancial of course.

Signed up for a loan in September. There was an offer for $250 if I kept my loan in good standing. Did an increase to the loan in January 2022. Was not told that the promo offer for $250 would not be honoured.

On June 28, 2022, I decided to settle my outstanding balance of $539.24 with Easy Financial. To do this, I obtained a cash advance from my line of credit at a financial institution. Subsequently, I executed a bill payment from my bank account. Despite these actions, Easy Financial maintains that they have not received any payment. Today, my bank confirmed that they can substantiate the bill payment was processed successfully, providing an authorization number and a reference number as proof of the transaction. In an effort to resolve the issue, I have forwarded Easy Financial screenshots of the bill payment and my bank statement, which clearly shows the payment was made. Nevertheless, they continue to dispute the receipt of any payment. I am seeking assistance to recover my funds, especially since I made a full payment in July, under the impression that I would be reimbursed once the initial payment was acknowledged.

goeasy I started a loan with easy financial in 2021, since then I have increased my loan a few times

I started a loan with easy financial in 2021, since then I have increased my loan a few times. Due to Covid this was done electronically, guided by them over the phone. I rushingly signed the agreements without reading thoroughly, my stupidity and I own that. On April 14th I borrowed another $2000 towards my loan. The agreement for that was : Total principal amount $4048.39 Total obligation of the loan $6269.66 On April 20th they called to say I was specially selected to borrow an extra $1500. She explained that the bi-weekly payments were close to what I was already paying. I thought why not? I was at work and told her I was unable to talk at the moment so she emailed me the forms/agreement to sign. She called me multiple times even after I told her I wasn't able to talk on the phone as I was at work. She emailed back to sign and she can disburse the funds to me. Finally on break I read the agreement carefully and was shocked! My principal loan amount was now $6007.55 that's a $1959.16 difference from my principal now and I'm only increasing by $1500, what's the extra $459.16? My total obligation was now $11,144.86 That's a $4875.20 difference from my current obligation and I'm only borrowing an extra $1500.

goeasy Hello, I am seeking assistance

Hello, I am in need of help. I want to file a complaint about EASYFINANCIAL. I have a loan from November 5th, for the amount of $3,964.61, which is supposed to end in November . I needed the loan because my grandmother passed away, and I had to travel back home. In January , I missed a payment because I didn't have enough funds in my bank account due to paying hospital bills back home. I only missed payments from January until the 2nd week of February , but my credit report shows missed payments for January, February, April, and May . I have bank statements proving I made payments in those months, except for the period I missed. I returned to Canada on February 5, and resumed work in the third week of February, making weekly payments since then. When I contacted them, I was informed I needed to sign a loan adjustment for the past due payment, but was not told it would extend my repayment period to 5 years. Had I known, I would not have agreed. I also requested they correct my credit report, which has not been done despite assurances. I have a copy of the loan adjustment and called today to request a copy of the 5-year loan adjustment agreement, which they said would be sent later. I need to verify if the information provided to me was accurate. Additionally, I was told I still owe around $3,200. As a first-time mother without income, I am turning to Complaintsboard.com for help.

goeasy I was an easy home customer a few year ago

I was an easy home customer a few year ago. I filed bankruptcy in 2017 ensuring that all my debts collected previously were assigned when filing. I made the error in judgement to apply for a loan on their website. Leading me to the McPhillips location, here in Winnipeg MB. They left a voicemail to contact them at the number provided. I called and spoke with the Manager *** who told me I wasn't approved. At first he was quaint but then when I asked him a few questions he told me that my history was the reason why I wasn't approved. He wouldn't specifically detail amounts owing - I asked him, remembering the situation suddenly if it was a laptop that I had rented with them. He explained that yes it was and I explained that I filed bankruptcy. He told me that it did not matter that they could still pursue me for payment as they are company that is apply to "liquify debts owed". He explained the bankruptcy act doesn't apply to them. I got very upset and he told me to call my trustee to brush up on my facts. I called my trustee, and they had told me that I was protected by my bankruptcy agreement. My trustee asked me to get their fax number to submit the agreement to their location. I called *** and told him what my trustee had said and asked him for the fax number and he hung up on me. I've attempted to call back so that they can have documentation on file, but I'm assuming their call display shows I'm calling and they do not answer. I need a fax number to submit the agreement. *** told me again that they could seek retribution regardless of filing bankruptcy.

goeasy Months ago, I leased a high-end gaming laptop from Easy Home, now facing billing issues.

A few months back, I visited Easy Home and entered into a lease agreement for a high-end gaming laptop, with bi-weekly payments of $101. Recently, due to financial constraints, I discussed returning it for a more affordable option and was informed about a processing fee, but no full payment was required. My situation improved, so I decided to keep the original laptop and did not proceed with a new lease. However, Easy Home billed me for both the original and the unleased new laptop. I've not signed any agreement for the second laptop and was not informed of these charges. I'm now being asked to pay for both, but I refuse until the issue is resolved. I want my account corrected to reflect only the legitimate charges for the laptop I am actually leasing.

On March 20 I was charged a first payment of $31.19 for an *** laptop that I was looking to lease from goeasy to have shipped to me. The following business day I received the laptop and after seeing that the product came to me unboxed and damaged, I refused to sign the lease agreement and requested that the item be sent back and the agreement cancelled. After speaking with *** and *** at the store located at Midland Lawrence Plaza, 2650 Lawrence Ave E #6, Scarborough, ON M1P 2S1, I was told that I would get the refund back in 3-5 business days. After 5 days I called back because I didnt get my money back and expressed my concerns. They told me to wait a few more days. Still, no refund. I waited. I called. I waited. I called and the reps were not very helpful as they were not able to get me the refund. I was told to call back and speak with *** and she will escalate it. I called back again and told *** I still did not receive the funds and she told me to wait 4-5 days after the refund was processed by her team. The refund was processed according to them on April 1st. She said if I didnt get it back by the 5th or 6th to call back and send banking account details to confirm i didnt get it. When i call back she is either not in the office or off that day and im constantly being told no one else can help me and i should call back again and again. Today is April 15 and I am losing patience and do not want to deal with these folks any more. I want my money back NOW. I even got an email from *** saying Easy Home has been added to my credit report on *** on April 03 and I dont even have a lease with them, and they have my money. ITS ALMOST A MONTH NOW. goeasy Hello, In 2018 I believe it was October, I took out a 10,000 loan with easy financial

Hello, In 2018 I believe it was October, I took out a 10,000 loan with easy financial. (( as I'm typing this I don't have the files with the EXACT numbers because I am at work but I can provide the documents at a later date.)) so, the loan was about 10k and suppose to pay back around 24k. I pay about 269.25 biweekly and I have been paying this since 2018. I called the company for a update on my balance and they told me I owe 4500 which did not make any sense as I was looking forward to only having $200 left to pay. I then requested all my statements since 2018 and got to realize I have been paying a premium of around $62 for all of these years. I went into the branch twice and did phone calls multiple times and they kept giving me the run around and passing me on to other people. I went into the branch and explained my situation to the manager and he said he saw where I was coming from and agree that I should definitely push to get all my money back, especially because he can see I have never missed a payment at the time. This lead me to believe it was possible to get my money back. when I initially signed the papers for this loan the only thing disgust is if I can pay the biweekly payment in which I agreed. after that the business representative which was the manager at the time pointed me to everywhere that I needed to sign and I blindly followed not thinking he would deceive me. This premium I have been paying covers home and auto and the biweekly payments ONLY if you've been laid off. I was 20 when I got this loan and would have never agreed to that. I did not have my license at the time and I live in a apartment. on June 26 a manager from the company called and said she's only able to give back 3 months worth of the premium and put it towards my outstanding balance which is still a *** because I have paid them thousands in this insurance I was never aware was available to me. There was also a $1180 fee to join this insurance.

goeasy I took a loan to consolidate in 2019

I took a loan to consolidate in 2019. In 2020 my son asked for an additional $1500, to buy a car so I did the increase over the phone. Since my son was involved, they asked that he be a co-signer. In July I became ill and was on medical leave. I filed a claim for insurance to cover my payments. Come to find that some *** reversed our roles and had me as the co-signer and my son as the prime! This made it difficult to start the claim. During all of this, I was receiving relentless phone calls emails and texts from the Niagara Falls branch and collections meanwhile I sent them numerous emails with the attachment of my approved claim. I called head office and spoke to a woman both verbally and through email communication about the situation and was told that she would "look into it". Also, I had told the branch to not contact my son as I was paying for the loan. They continued to email call and text him relentlessly. I called emailed and even went into the branch personally because of their errors and was told by a representative after a total of four errors made in one day that it was "human error" and that he would make sure he fixed everything, get our names sort it out as me as a prime and still nothing. I came to find that my insurance expired four days ago and the collection calls started immediately. You guessed it, to my son. I called again telling them that I need to get a deferral to the end of the month and an email was sent that I was to agree to regarding deferral. I agreed to it and sent it back immediately. Five minutes later I got two back to back phone calls from the branch that I wasn't able to answer as I was on another call. As soon as I got off my call, a 3rd call came in of the rep asking me to agree to the email. THREE CALLS. I angrily told him that it was already done. He checked it and sure enough it was. 10 minutes later, I received a text from collections. At least they got one thing right, the message came to me.

goeasy -I co-signed a loan for my partner/fiancee in apprx

-I co-signed a loan for my partner/fiancee in apprx. January the loan was for apprx. $5000.00. -We broke up in March , I continued as the co signer and she continued to pay the loan as it was her loan. -I paid $5000.00 in September , to bring the loan down -We agreed in September to a new loan apprx. $5000.00 -On December 29, Easy Financial called about a deal to increase the loan and lower interest payments. I told them I was not interested as we have not been together for almost 2 years; and I would like to actually have my name off the loan. On February 28, Easy Financial Called back and offered me the chance to have my name taken off the loan as a co-applicant, lower the interest payments and increase the loan amount for my ex to $10, 000. I asked many times about making sure my name came off the loan, I told the representative that I have not spoken to her as we are ex-partners and do not talk. He said he would reach out to her and offer her the same deal. He called a few more times(February 28th total of 4 calls back and forth) and said he had spoken with her and that she wanted to go ahead with the new loan deal. -I texted her to confirm that she was in agreement and that my name would come off and the interest payments would be lower. then I signed the on line paperwork -I was told that by the end of February my name should could off, but it might take a few weeks -I waited and waited, and when it was still showing on my credit report, I called Easy Financial numerous times to find out why my name was still on it and asked to speak with the representative on my file. I was told he no longer worked there. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he would call me back. I would call and be told the same thing until April . In May my nephew died suddenly, leaving me unable to fully function for most of the year, which is why I am now trying to find a resolution. -I have tried again today, without success.

Two months ago I had filed for a payment deferral as I was temporarily laid off from work, the company assured me that a deferral would be filed and that the next pending payment would not be removed from my bank account. They emailed me the documents required for me to sign which I did and returned to them promptly (within two hours from receiving them). On the day of the payment being due I had noticed my bank account was in the negative due to insufficient funds and the deferral had in fact not been filed, I was charged an NSF fee on top of my account now being in the negative. I then called the branch and spoke with numerous agents, the first *** my calls were repeatedly disconnected with each agent speaking to both me and my wife as I told each agent verbally that I gave authorization for her to speak on my behalf. I had asked to speak with a manager numerous times only to be told for two days in a row that the manager was busy in meetings and would "call me back" which never happened. Finally, after more than a week of trying to speak with a manager I had received a call from their branch manager who proceeded to be *** and when I had my wife speak the manager was *** told she would only speak to me as to not breach her companies policy (which means all other previous agents were). After the manager had argued with me over the phone (I have recorded audio of my calls) the manager then said she would email me and said I needed to provide a bank statement showing the NSF charge and the payment being removed from my account with the insufficient balance. I did all of this within the same hour as her email and since May 25th the issue has still not been resolved, each time I try to email regarding the issue I hear nothing back and when I call all of their agents seem to be too busy to answer my calls. I have attempted to contact the manager numerous times and I have been told she is on vacation for the past two weeks (at the least). Product_Or_Service: Personal Loan Account_Number: XXXX-XXXXXXX

goeasy Hi, I'm from Brampton, a goeasyfinancial client requesting a deferment of my upcoming biweekly payments.

Hi, I'm from Brampton and a goeasyfinancial client. My deductions are biweekly, and I'm requesting to defer my payments due on July 24 and August 7. I had a conversation with a representative who agreed to this and asked me to confirm via email, which I did. Unfortunately, the payment for July 24 was still deducted from my account. I'm including the email proof below where I agreed to the deferment. In the email, it was stated that my next payment would be on August 21, for $164.87 and that deferring payments would affect the final payment date and increase the loan balance due on the next payment date. I acknowledged these terms and gave my consent for the payment deferral, understanding it would change the cost of borrowing for my personal loan. I'm reaching out to ensure this issue is resolved and the agreed-upon deferment is honored.

goeasy Around June or July I have been forced by Easy Financial to sign up a Agreement Loan after several phone call by one of their agents

Around June or July I have been forced by Easy Financial to sign up a Agreement Loan after several phone call by one of their agents. Inictally he told me it was a kind of Saving Loan, where I was paying to increase my credit score. He told me the amount around CAD$9,000.00 where I should pay CAD$ 700.00 monthly. I refused because I was unemployed and the amount was very expensive. After several phone calls, unfortunately I accepted what I should pay CAD$ 282.00 bi-weekly. He did send me the agreement and made me sign up without read the agreement. He was on the phone with me. I though it was just a loan fake, but after one day I got in my bank account the amount of CAD$ 9,000.00. I call then trying to send back the amount, but he said that is impossible, because I already have had signed the Agreement. So I have to use the money to antecipated my rent to fit the amount in my budget. And since then I have been paying regularly. Last January I lost the last extra income that I had so I called to the Easy Financial to speak with then. They asked to contact the Insurance COmpany who refused cover my involuntary unemployment beucase the Agreement was made after my ROE. So I called again informing that I have no more conditions to pay that amount, to try to pay a possible amount. One agent made me sign up another Agreement that after I discovered that she increased my loan and I should pay CAD$120.00 more that I already was paying. When I noticed I call asking to cancel the new Agreement and she yelling me said its not possible. I have been receiving call form they every day yelling me, forcing me to pay that amount that I really dont have on this moment. Today I noticed that they reported on my credit score 2 times ***, what decreased my score from 630 to 500. I have been making a plan to pay and March 10th I have paid CAD$300.00, the only money I had to buy basic expenses as food. I fell in a trick with this company. But they never stop to call me yelling me and trying to get more money that I dont have.
