Disappointed with Goggles4u: Incorrect Order, Poor Customer Service, and Hidden Fees
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to order my new glasses from Goggles4u. I mean, who doesn't love a good deal, right? So, I placed my order on January 3rd, 2021 and paid an extra $15 for "1 hour processing". I was feeling pretty good about my purchase, until I received my order today, February 11th.
Let me tell you, I was not happy with what I saw. The lenses were yellow with a blue tint, which was not what I had ordered. I specifically requested clear lenses with no extra coatings. So, I decided to contact the customer service chat to see if they could help me out.
At first, the representative told me that I had actually ordered the Blue light blocking lenses, which I knew was not true. Then, they told me that there was a "glitch" in the website and that they would replace the glasses for me. Okay, fair enough. But, here's where things really went downhill.
Turns out, they no longer had the frame that I had originally ordered in stock. And, because of the "glitch" in the website, I wasn't charged enough for my glasses. So, in order to process an exchange, I would have to pay an additional $51.90 US. Are you kidding me?
I gotta say, this is a pretty terrible way to do business, Goggles4u. I mean, how are you supposed to win loyal customers and increase your customer base when you're pulling stunts like this? It's just not right.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Goggles4u. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I certainly won't be ordering from them again.

And if you ever want to get tinting, forget about it. You can't get anti-reflective coating on the lenses, so they end up with so much glare that they're impossible to use.
So, yeah. Be careful with these guys. It's like playing a game of chance every time you order from them.

I contacted customer service and got Zendesk, which is a middleman that knows less about the company than you do. They told me about the 100% satisfaction guarantee, but that's not helpful when you get a defective product. They sent me another pair of glasses, but that one had a broken hinge screw. I might be able to fix it with an eyeglass kit, but why should I have to?
I emailed customer service and haven't heard back from them. It's really sad because I used to like this company. They used to treat people fairly, but now they just want to shake every dime they can out of their customers. If you want good glasses, pay the extra money to Warby Parker or some other company. I've been a customer since 2014. I've ordered approx 20 different pairs of glasses with small changes to my prescription over the years. I proudly refer friends to try them out. The prescriptions have been spot on. I have them checked by my optometrist. He now refers clients of his that are uninsured to buy through this site. My current glasses have been my favorite and still look great after 4 years. Shipping can be a little slow but they recently added a rush feature.

Crappy customer service. Glasses less than 90 days wear and had to be replaced because polarizing coming off in the rain. So lenses become hazy from coating. They would not stand behind there workmanship.

They did eye exam and checked my glasses for focal points. My Goggles 4U were so far off true prescription the doctor was concerned. Luckily I didn't use the glasses much because they didn't feel right. I have purchased correct pair from local firm and will never order from Goggles 4U again. Goggles 4U can and will ship whatever they want. If you get a pair of glasses from them and they're ok, lucky you. These offshore companies are third world crud.
Received bifocal sunglasses which I used only to read when outside, 3x, then put away till next year. When I got them out, frames had cracked open beneath lens. Lens was not shaped right--obvious now that it is out of frame. Company said one year guarantee was up (barely) so would do nothing.

I placed two orders and in general am reasonably happy with the company. Glasses quality is good enough for me (I only wear glasses when driving). The first order came in 2 weeks: very fast for something that is manufactured in China. The second order got lost in transit from China; 4 weeks after placing the order I contacted their customer care and they reimbursed my shipping fee and processed the free replacement. Then the original shipment somehow showed up in the system; in the result, I received double quantity. I would order from them again. It's a good company striving to do good to their customers.

I had ordered glasses to wear at work .I had barely used these glasses and the lenses are having hazing on it as though the protective layer is delaminating. I emailed them and they said that there is only a 15 days warranty from Day of invoice even though I did not get the product for more than 15 days as it were outsourced. I feel nobody should be fooled by there 50% discount as they have a poor outsourced quality .Irrespective of a manufacturing defect they were unable to have a courtesy to rectify it.The glasses which I ordered from the Eye Dr comes with 1 year replacement warranty for a period of 1 year.

i think these glasses are great. using discount codes that goggles4u offers, glasses are so affordable that i now own 4 pairs, and my wife owns 2 so far, and will be purchasing more. goggles4u allows my wife to have different pairs for different fashion statements. yes, the production/shipping time is long, as explained on the website. yes, the glasses are made overseas, which is why they are affordable. are these glasses as durable as the $700 pair that i used to wear? i doubt it, and don't care. thank you goggles4u for providing a consumer friendly alternative to the rip-off glasses at our local brick and mortar stores.

I will never buy from Goggles4U again. Yes, I will admit it is MY FAULT that I did not have the glasses looked at before now, but I trusted GOGGLES4U to make my glasses correct for me. I ordered my glasses back in October and I happen to take them to an eyeglass place because my mom was getting eyeglasses and that place confirmed that they are Single Vision, I ordered No Line Progressive Lenses and paid for it. I called Customer Service and of course there is nothing they can do for me, all they offered was for me to take advantage of the promotions they currently have going on and order new glasses. HA, like I am ever going to purchase from this company again!

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Goggles4u. I mean, I ordered my glasses three weeks ago and still haven't received them. Can you believe that? So, I had a real bad experience with Goggles4u. I ordered some glasses from them and the package got lost in the mail (thanks USPS). Now, I know their refund policy says they'll give you a full refund if your package gets lost, but they're not doing that for me. They're only offering to replace the glasses, but two out of the three frames I ordered aren't even in stock. And the frames they do have in stock are all cheap ones that cost no more than 6.95. The one frame I did get was supposed to be opaque, but it's not and they don't have any other opaque frames that are the right size or look good for the price I paid.
I've been asking for a full refund, but they keep ignoring me. It's like they don't even care about their own refund policy. So now I'm gonna have to file a dispute with my credit card company. This whole thing just feels shady to me.
Oh, and another thing to watch out for: if you buy upgrades from them, they don't even show you what upgrades you got on your order details or invoice. So who knows if you're actually getting what you paid for.

Well we all know that I could pull a promo code from anywhere that would offer any more than the 50% discount. I ordered two pairs of glasses on recommendation from friends. It did take awhile to get them. When I got them I had issues. I reported the issues to them. They told me to look for 2 different frame sizes instead of offering me a refund as I requested. Their website does not allow me to look up my order (and the person I spoke to on chat had the same issue), their website does not allow you to filter on lens sizes but even more confusing is the two lens sizes I was told to look for vary greatly 34mm or 42-46mm. I ordered 4 pairs of glasses on 20th July . It is now 18th August and I have not received them. I have been speaking to the company for the last 2 weeks to find out the issue and have been told they're still 'in production', there was 'an issue' with a lens on packing, there was a 'backlog' in the lenses needed. All of these are fine and I have no issue with waiting for the 3 pairs that are still being produced but there is one pair that is complete. I have been assured on two separate occasions that these are being shipped as they are complete. This is not happening. I have waited 5 days since being told this and am now being told the whole order is in production and the glasses are being shipped when complete. I have just been told that this is being 'escalated' for the 6th time, this is totally unacceptable. I had previously used Zenni Optical and must have recommended them to at least 40 people. Bad publicity goes far further.

The second order, priced at $143.76, contained three defective pairs: one with a lens stain, another with a broken lens, and a third with poorly glued plastic on the frame. I reached out to Goggles4u in October with images of the defects, asking for a refund. After months, they have only replied with evasive questions and have not issued the refund. After 30 days I called and was told that 1 pair was ready but they found a defect in the other on packing them and they were being remade. I was also told that they couldn't send the 1st pair separately, they had to ship together. Well, now 3 weeks later I receive only 1 pair, the remade ones. And the prescription is wrong. They are supposed to be progressive lenses but they did not put the reading prescription on the lower part. When I spoke to a supervisor I was told that they were made to the prescription I sent, which is incorrect. I have purchased other glasses online with the same prescription and I see fine. He refused to remake without me sending them my prescription.But we verified that there was no error entering it. I placed this order on June 19/21. ***. Product arrived about a month later. The lenses were very yellow and the frame is a mirror finish. As per the companies policies, I reached out and told them I was unhappy with these two issues. They do not look like they have a mirror finish in the ad, nor does the yellow from blue blocker lenses present this way. They are not suitable. I dont want flashy glasses. After discussing this with them, they agreed and put a replacement order in with the same frame in a matte finish, and deleted the blue blocker in the lense. This order, ***, was placed July 16. After waiting a month, I reached out to them to see what the staus is. They repeadly state they are in the "final stages of production" We are now 10 weeks later and no sign of them. I also ordered another pair, #***, Aug 17th, and same thing. Order is in final stages of production. I would like to be refunded, as I feel my patience has been taken advantage of.
