GovSimplified claim and charge to process ss card when I found out later there is no cost to do this by the ss office!!!

Had the same experience as below only when I called GovSimplifed they would not answer and when I sent them the request leadimg to the demand for a refund they said they only refund within an hour after paying them!

The website appears to be a legitimate government website, but are actually not affiliated in anyway. The fine print which I read too late claims they are a 3rd party entity. It claims to offer the convenience of applying for your Social Security Number online and receiving your card by post without having to stand in long queues at the SS government office. However, after I paid a hefty $37 the webpage informed me that since this was my first application that I am obliged to go in person to the SS office. After getting to the SS office early and standing in queues I found out that the government provides your SSN for free and they have their own legitimate website where, provided its not your first time, you can apply online for free and receive your card through the postal service. GovSimplified ein number

On 5-12-19, I was looking for a way to obtain a EIN for a new company I'm setting up now and some how I came across GovSimplified LLC, thinking I was on the IRS website, I understand they are not a governmental entity but they appeared like so because they promised only they can get you a "fast" EIN. I paid them $247 but the filling was wrong. I only found out I had authorized a third party when I was at the bank trying to open my business account, then I called them to ask them to at least file the proper EIN or fix it and I was told I filed out the form wrong which I know I didn't. I think they were very misleading and on top now they can't do anything to fix the mistake THEY did! I asked the gentleman on the phone for a refund and his answer was "we can't give you a refund because we got you"!

I came across this website and it looked so legit. I paid #37 for applying a new social security card for the spouse of a church member thinking that I was on the government website. I called social security office but I was told that there is no fees for applying a social security card. Let's make sure that this website doesn't take advantage of good people in the future.

GovSimplified unethical behaviour

Warning! Just fyi I never leave reviews, I generally don't have the time to but in this case I made time!

Do not use this website! If you do and you have troubles customer service will be extremely rude and then lie to you!

I filled out an application for to get a new card for my daughter since I could not find her card after moving. After I paid all fees the website then advised me to send in 2 forms of id and it kept telling me that I needed to send in her original drivers license. Again like I said this was for my daughter who isn't even old enough to have a drivers license! Not only that but this was suppose to make this process easier, right? Well once I called the company to complain about the issue the guy "jay" told me that I was outside of the time frame to call and get a refund then very rudely asked why it took me so long to call (like I don't have anything else going on in my life) I explained my situation to him and again he very rudely told me there was nothing that he could do for me since I was outside of the time frame to call back and get a refund (which is a total lie! I've worked in customer service my whole life and there is always something they can do). I asked to speak to a supervisor and "jay" said (again, very rudely), "why? They are just going to tell you the same thing." by this time I was very upset and said "I don't care! Then get me a supervisor so they can tell me the same thing then!" when the supervisor came on the line she didn't even know my name and actually called me by my daughters name. She introduced herself as "kyra". She was also not helpful in any way. When I told her that I knew there was something to do to help because there always is. She still refused to help at all. I explained to her that I would be leaving a negative review and asked for her name again so that I could put it in my review she lied to me and told me that her name was kristen! Do not trust this web site!

GovSimplified social security replacement card application

08.06.2018 Their online "help" came right up off the SSA website and claimed to be able to speed the process. It was very misleading as

1. The fee was not provided (39$) initially.
2. The fee was not provided even after credit card information was entered.
3. I indicated I was going to a social security office, yet their application suggested filling the government form (SS-5) by their service would speed the process.
4. They incorrectly indicated a number of documents which I would need.
5. Generally, I was in the dark about how their service would help and their website process was not clear about what they would be providing. The social security employees did not even request a SS-5 form from me.

The service was not needed, was misleading and had no value.

GovSimplified false advertising of refund policies

The company does not advertise the required documents prior to the actual purchase. Thus after completing the purchase for an e-package, I realized I would not be able to mail in my passport as I needed it for an upcoming flight. I checked their refund policy in their Billing FAQs and it states:

"If we have began processing your order but not yet completed the preparation of your SS-5 application, we will refund your payment in full. If GovSimplified has already completed your SS-5 document, provided your application and you are unhappy with the service, we will issue a full refund if you make the request within seven (7) days of the receipt of the application and instructions. After seven (7) days, GovSimplified is NOT able to issue a refund."

Specifically it states that a full refund will be issued if the request is made within 7 days. The next day, I called their customer contact number and the representative specified that within their Terms & Conditions that the request for a refund must be made within an hour in order to receive the full amount, otherwise it is only 50%. I checked in the T&Cs and it states:

"You may be able to cancel your order for the Services if your order has not begun processing and you contact us within one (1) hour of placing your order via email at [protected]@govsimplified.com or by calling [protected]. Upon successful cancellation we will refund your order in full to the original form of payment."

The fine print conflicts with the FAQ refund policies.

I called the company on [protected] to complain and fought hard to get a promise of 50% reimbursement. It seemed they were used to this and know that you will be glad to have only lost $18 on a scam! I hope they will reimburse me the $18 within the next 3 working days as they promised.

As you read from our disclosure, which appears on our landing page and each subsequent page throughout the application for service, we are a private service company. We do not advertise to be associated with any government agency nor do we advertise the sale or generation of social security cards. The SSA accepts applications for social security cards either in person or by mail. The SSA offers the ability to apply online for a number of states. We offer unique guided assistance to those who are unable to apply online at the SSA site -- and for others, we offer unique guided assistance using only the SSA outlined processes, which includes in-person application for first time cards. We apologize for the confusion surrounding your visit to our site and invite you to contact us directly if you have any additional questions or concerns. Depending on your card company, the credit should post within the standard 3 working day period.

GovSimplified irs and other gov. forms

Website features forms for getting Govt. Services. Bank advised me to go to IRS.Gov for estate tax number for my wife's estate. Everything was simple, filled in the info, thinking it was an IRS site. Then they asked for payment, still thinking it was the IRS, I gave them my credit card info, and paid for the service. Basically, all they did was take what I gave them and filled out a form and charged me for it. Then after payment is accepted I see a disclaimer at the bottom of the page stating they a third party and I could get the same service from the actual IRS, for free, but it might take a few days longer. My wife has passed, I'm in no great hurry, and money is tight. Thanks for taking advantage of a handicapped veteran at a time like this .

GovSimplified deceptive advertising-design website to look like government website

GovSimplified intentionally designed their website to look almost identical to that of the Social Security Administration, and make every effort to not clarify that they are a third party providing what is a free service for fees of $37 or more, depending on what "package" you purchase from them. They supply a link on the right side of the webpage suggesting that you request a new SS card online instead of waiting in line at the nearest social security office. At no point do they indicate that they are a business independent of the SSA. I had already purchased the $37 package, thinking I was dealing directly with the SSA, before I realized that they were a third party company with over 122 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and a class action lawsuit brought against them. When I called to complain and request a refund on 2 September 2016 (about half an hour after I purchased the package), I was denied on the grounds that they had already sent me the relevant paperwork (which you can download for free from the SSA website) and postage to mail any relevant documents to the nearest social security office. After several minutes of expressing my displeasure with their "service, " they refunded half the amount I had paid ($18.50). I never wanted their services, and certainly have no intention of using them.

GovSimplified total scam

I am in the need of a social security card and was about to use this website, knowing it was expensive but hoping it was legit. Unfortunately its not! They are charging you to fill out form for you and send them to you. All these form can be accessed thru regular government websites. This is no loop hole, or quick fix. All it is is a scam.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER...REPRESENTS THEMSELF AS THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINSTRATION.. I END UP GOING TO THE OFFICE AND THE SAME FORM WHICH IS FREE AND IT ONLY TOOK 10MINUTES...I ASKED OF THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD ITS A SCAM WE DO NIT CHARGE FOR REPLACEMENT CARDS...I CALL GOV SIMPLIFIED AND WAS TOLD THE THEY ARE 3RD PARTY AND CAN NOT GIVE A REFUND..

GovSimplified fake charge and no record

People, be aware! The website www.govsimplified.com is real scam. I wanted to get one report from them, but these ### charged me for $130 instead of $20. I sent them multiple emails and asked about it, but they ignored all communication with me. I have no idea what the hell happened and what measures to take now. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this website.

GovSimplified they ignore you and didn't reply within long time

I filled the form on the website www.govsimplified.com. I paid about $190 for it, but after I haven’t received anything from them. These jerks kept silence within 3 weeks. I was scared and head full of grey hairs. It was too stressful for me. Really don’t advise you to deal with such awful company like this one. You can do it in their office, but the website has really serious problems. Not recommended.

GovSimplified never provided my card

I was totally disappointed and angry that I used the website www.govsimplified.com. I wanted to renew my card and I filled the form on the website, but after that my nightmare started. They took money for this card, but they didn’t provide any info. I contacted them and heard different stories that they had problems with my account, personal info and etc. Crap and scam. I really advise you to stay away from them and post comments about your experience with them.

Was misled to pay 97.00 dls to receive a replacement soc sec card overnite delivery Cash was paid but receipt of my social card has not arrived 2 r 3 weeks later.

I was redirected to this scam site when needing a replacement card. I spent money and wasted time. I then called the social security office and was told it is free to get a replacement card. I am so upset. This is not right!

I apply for my daughter social security card and they did charge me but never answer the phone when i call and of curse never got my social security card.
