and now we are stuck with no options
and now we are stuck with no options. It's frustrating that they are not willing to work with us and accommodate our needs. We understand the importance of safety measures, but it seems unfair to not make exceptions for those who have already had the virus and have immunity. We hope that Grand European Travel will reconsider their policies and provide more flexibility for their customers.
Me and my folks booked a trip to Norway with GET for August
Me and my folks booked a trip to Norway with GET for August . We got told it was cancelled on June 30th and would get "travel credit." We asked for a refund twice on Sept. 10 & 14th. GET said we can use the credit for 2 years. What if COVID still bad? Will it be 3-5 years? GET keeps our money without interest for who knows how long. I'm an RN and don't want to worry about $7443 gone. My retired parents have $5008 gone. We paid for a service we didn't get. They lied about needing their travel insurance. They told me to file insurance when I said I have 2 surgeries next year. That has nothing to do with the trip. Please give us our $.
Me and my sis signed up for a fancy "Luxury Gold" vacay to the Pacific Northwest on March 2
Me and my sis signed up for a fancy "Luxury Gold" vacay to the Pacific Northwest on March 2. The trip was for August 14 through August 22 and cost us $8,588.26 for the two of us, minus the travel insurance. But then Covid-19 hit and the trip got "suspended." We recently made another booking for a trip called Historic Highlights for Sept. 11 through Sept. 18, with the same Booking Reference. This trip is way cheaper than the first one we booked. They didn't offer the original trip we wanted to take last year in August, so that trip got cancelled. They used the money from the first booking to pay for this trip, which left a remainder of $4,473.66. The travel rep told us we can't get the remainder back, but we can use it for plane flights, fees or book another trip. We would have happily booked the same trip to the Pacific Northwest if they offered it again. But now we feel like they're making us take trips we don't even want just to keep our money. This is so not cool and maybe even illegal.

I booked a trip with Grand European Travel back in 2019, but due to the pandemic, it was delayed
I booked a trip with Grand European Travel back in 2019, but due to the pandemic, it was delayed. Now, they want me to travel for one night in December 2022 for over $9000, even though I'll be on a church mission until late 2023. I asked for a refund to fund my mission, but they refused during a telecon with their agent today, February 17, 2022. According to their website, if the cancellation is not due to a Force Majeure Event, they should provide an alternative trip or refund the money. But they're not sticking to their policy. I need these funds for my mission, and they're not being helpful.
I bought a tour from Grand European Travel in December to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary with my husband
I bought a tour from Grand European Travel in December to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary with my husband. But on March 13th, they sent me an email saying that the tour was cancelled. I called them on March 16th to get a refund. They gave me some money back and told me to file a claim with the travel insurance company they gave me. I did that on March 16th, but on May 13th, the insurance company said they wouldn't cover it because of the pandemic. I called Grand European again and they said I cancelled the tour, but that's not true. They said they'd tell their boss and offer me a voucher, but I don't want that because I'm old and don't know when it'll be safe to travel again. On June 23rd, a boss said I wouldn't get my $944.40 back because they paid the insurance company for a voucher that I can only use with them. That doesn't make sense. I waited over 4 months for my refund and I've been really patient.
I booked a tour with GET called Adventures of the Wild Northwest for me and my hubby
I booked a tour with GET called Adventures of the Wild Northwest for me and my hubby. We paid $9,035.84, including $578 for insurance. The tour was supposed to happen on July 16, but Covid-19 ruined everything. GET suspended the tour and won't offer it anymore. We were bummed because we wanted to go on this tour and had planned to meet family and friends in the area. I emailed GET and told them we're frequent travelers who've taken six GET tours in the US and Europe. We asked for a refund instead of a future tour credit, which we can't use. GET said no refund because of Force Majeure. They did offer us a 10% bonus for our next vacation. We've always been happy with GET tours, but my husband's health is a concern. He had a car accident and has mobility problems. He's also getting chemo for cancer. We're worried about his ability to keep up with the tour and our safety during the pandemic. We're asking ComplaintsBoard.com for help getting a refund because of our loyalty to GET and my husband's health. Thanks for any help you can give.
Back in September , I booked their Great Italian Cities tour which was to begin on May 1 and end May 10
Back in September , I booked their Great Italian Cities tour which was to begin on May 1 and end May 10. I paid for this in full in September, a price of $2,847.50. Due to Covid-19, they had to suspend this tour, and provided a voucher, which expires December 2022. These, however, were the only dates I could go. I contacted them in April asking for a full refund, since I would be unable to use their voucher. They refused to give me one. I can't believe they can keep my money, as I feel I am being held liable for Covid-19 by their doing so. No one can predict the future, and 2 years is a long time to wait for my money back, especially in these hard times the virus has created. I am 71 years old.

I booked a tour to Costa Rica and paid in full, I believe the amount they owe me is $2,185.76 EACH totaling $4,371.51
I booked a tour to Costa Rica and paid in full, I believe the amount they owe me is $2,185.76 EACH totaling $4,371.51. I also was going with another person who paid on their own credit card but is part of my reservation. have called the tour company several times and each time no refund. They said that this pandemic is not a force majeure ( the definition -cancel contracts due to a Pandemic) I told them I was going to write the ComplaintsBoard.com and finally they said they would send me a form to fill out to look into getting a refund. I am going to fill out the form and email it back to GET Tours and see what happens. We are both seniors and who what life will bring. We could use the money now. I wanted this to be on file with the ComplaintsBoard.com and hope you can do something for us as I paid on my credit card. This should not take 90 days for a refund. All that they have to do is credit it back. Thank you and Stay Safe.

I'm 81 years old and planned a once in a lifetime trip to Ireland with GET travel (Grand European Travel) that was scheduled for May 15th
I'm 81 years old and planned a once in a lifetime trip to Ireland with GET travel (Grand European Travel) that was scheduled for May 15th. Due to the Covid19 pandemic the travel agent has cancelled the tip. When I was notified of the cancellation I requested a refund and told them I would not be able to go at another date and time, at 81 who knows if I'll be around next year and I will not feel save traveling after this pandemic. After several emails going back and forth they are only offering a travel credit which I am not interested in. This trip was a planned a year ago and the timing was coordinated with my friends. GET is refusing to issue a refund under the clause force majeure. I bought travel insurance and was told by the agent I could cancel if needed. I did not cancel this trip the agency did but they are refusing a refund. I would love some help on this to get my money back this seems to be in bad faith and not refunding my money. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
