literally got denied for a loan for nothing lol...but to the reviews im seeing i dodged a bullet the reasons why i got rejected were literally *** and to get anything decent for a loan it must be a 900 score...save your f*** time, money, and credit score and go somewhere else what a joke of a credit union
I wish I could rate them zero stars
I wish I could rate them zero stars. I accidentally overdrew my account and instead of drawing funds from savings as agreed upon then charged me overdrafts. I attempted to pay them and they closed my account. They then sued me even though I attempted multiple times to pay the difference, they even refused to give me my remaining savings.

Worst credit Union I have ever used. Terrible and very rude customer service. They threaten to increase my rate from 3% to 21% if I didnt respond to a letter they sent me. I was out of state taking care of my very ill and elderly father. I didnt get the first letter for a few weeks and they sent a follow up by threatening to increase my rates. They never called or email to even check to see if I received the letter and didnt even wait 2 weeks to send threats in the mail. With everything going on in the world I dont need to deal with this c*** So disgusting and disrespectful company I have ever done business with. I will be refinancing my loans with another organization that cares about people well-being.
I have been with Greenstate over a year with no issues whatsoever. They have always been polite and helpful.
Green state is the most unreliable and uncaring bank I have ever dealt with
Green state is the most unreliable and uncaring bank I have ever dealt with. The system went down on Memorial weekend on Friday. I was unable to access my funds and they strait up left me stuck at a gas station necause I couldn't get gas. They failed and refused to do anything to help. Ruined my holiday weekend. I requested a sup and it took her 2 weeks to call me back. What a joke. They refuse to do anything about it. I'm calling an attorney. F them

Horrible customer service, charge insane overdraft fees, and received a mailing saying their is lawsuit against them for overcharging overdraft fees. Avoid at all costs
Worst credit union I've ever used. Was offered to refinance my auto loan with much lower interest and monthly payment. The payment was supposed to be 288 a month. Then they raised it to 329 and now it's 331. Only 9 dollars away from what my original loan payment was. What a joke.
Been a member for years.. have had 2 disputed charges on my ckg acct for fraudulent activity.. They turned down both disputes when it was for materials never received from fraudulent company.. I am closing accts , credit *** of credit!

Been banking with GreenState over 10 years and over the past few years they have grew their offices to a point where they dont care about quality customer service. I recently wanted to update my beneficiarys and spent over a month trying to get some one to assist me. I was repeatedly forwarded to various reps giving me different information. I became so frustrated I just closed all my accounts. Do yourself a favor and find a smaller credit union or bank that cares about your family and accounts

I have had a mortgage with GreenState and paid on it for over 9 years. No problems for nine years. Then my fiancee died, which left me with all the bills to pay on my own. Then a couple years after that I was laid off. I still did my best to keep up payments during the time I was unemployed. I got three months behind and they called in my loan. I got served notice they were going to pursue foreclosure but I got the money together and they reinstated my loan. I was unemployed for over a year, and all through the pandemic, but began working again spring of 2021. I was working hard to try to catch up my bills from the time I was unemployed. I got behind on my mortgage and again received notice of foreclosure. I tried to calling the account resolution department, but had a very hard time getting any calls back from anyone. I even emailed GreenState's lawyer asking for advice, but he also would not return my emails. Went to the foreclosure hearing and the judge ruled in their favor, but told me that no lender wants to take your house, and that they will work with you. He told me I had three months before they would take my house. During those three months I applied for mortgage aid and dug up all the documents they needed, which was a lot. I did everything I was told to do. Finally got notice from the mortgage aid counselor that I qualified for $10,000 worth of aid, which was even more than I owed in back payments on my mortgage. However, she soon called me back stating that Greenstate refused to accept the aid money, and that they just wanted to go ahead with selling my house. They will not accept any payments other than the amount to pay off the mortgage in full. When I try to talk to anyone at the account resolution department, I just get the response that "we decided we don't want to reinstate your mortgage because we already did it once." They would rather take my house from me than take the $10,000 in aid money and make my mortgage current. I have about $50,000 in equity built up in this house and they do not care anything about that. They do not want to work with me, no matter what the judge said. However, they did keep sending me monthly mortgage statements showing the amount I owed. But then they won't accept any money when I get it? This is an awful company to have a mortgage with because they absolutely do not care about your situation and even when you can get the money to them, they will refuse it just because they want to. Doesn't matter if that's been your home for 10 years. Do not get a mortgage here! You will regret it. I am hoping this review helps others not get involved with this company!
I was lost without insurance for a month during my loan. Green *** added force placed insurance on to my loan which resulted in a total of $900. The premium on my car with my insurance once I got my situation handled was $630. I begged with Green *** to consolidate the force placed insurance payment into monthly payments tack on to the end of my loan. They told me that wasnt an option and place the payment over the course of the loan which add an extra 82 to my payment. I told them I was unable to make the payments and once again begged to get help with the situation. My vehicle ended up being a total loss. They repossessed my car for being a month behind plus the extra payments that I couldnt afford. When I call they told me I owed $970. Then they told me I have to pay the payoff portion if I want it back. I'm done with it all and after extensive research and reading a number of complaints on the ComplaintsBoard.com website from just this year alone from people having issues similar to mine. I'll take the hit to my credit at this point. They've never tried to work with me when I've begged to make better arrangements for this loan. Including moving my payment date from the beginning of the month to the middle of the month.
Worst bank ever!
Worst bank ever! Could not get my money with an increase in my spending limit. Rude and hung up the phone on me because she could not deal with an upset customer. I have been a member for 20 yrs and this happened before and I vowed then to pull all my money out and find a MATURE bank to deal with. Greenstate is KINDERGARTEN with comical people working there that are clueless. I waited on the phone for over 2 hrs waiting for another [censored] to say they know nothing. This time I am moving. UNBELIEVABLE

These people are predatory lenders!
These people are predatory lenders! I was a college student and the person collaborated with this business to sign me up for some high-priced weight loss program.I told them I had no job and was a college student and they said don't worry we can get this approved.I was surprised when they came back and said I was approved but then later it came up on my credit and it also showed false information they falsified my information by putting a fake job and income to get the loan now it's been on my credit for four years. It also shows up that my address was the place that received my money. When I called back they said that I signed the contract it doesn't matter what was said and done I am held to it.

This is the worst **** experience I have ever had
This is the worst *** experience I have ever had. We had a hiccup in our insurance and took care of it but it was difficult to contact customer service to notify them that we had resolved our issue. They repossessed our cars, then told us we couldnt get them back for 5. Everything is current on the account. Im 9 months pregnant and my mom died. I dont expect special treatment but I would think after getting everything sorted the issue could be resolved within a day. Now we have to rent a car to get to my moms funeral, go to work, and in case I go into labor. Dont *** with them. They are horrible and will do anything to get you to pay more on interest and extra fees to keep you in a loan with them.

We had fraud at *** Fargo and it was a nightmare
We had fraud at *** Fargo and it was a nightmare. We then switched to GreenState. Started out great. Then the wheels fell off. ***...guy has no idea what he is doing. We had so many broken promises. They said they would set us up for auto pay, never did. Zero follow through and it was never an, I am sorry we messed up. They always tried to justify their mistake when it was flat out their own fault. I swear they have like a quota they have to get each month and then once they do, they mess it up and you are dead to them. This place is awful. I am so close to taking every dime and loan I have with them and going somewhere else. I am tired of always having to check in to make sure they are doing their job. So frustrating when someone is supposed to be handling your money and they have no idea what they are doing.

It seems almost everyone has had an issue with the insurance when starting a loan with Green State
It seems almost everyone has had an issue with the insurance when starting a loan with Green State. The same happened when we opened an auto loan with them. They stated 3 months we had no insurance coverage. A YEAR later they wanted to start charging us $1,000+ to cover this. This whole time we tried with the insurance and them. We end up paying for this (so an extra $110 every month) It should be paid in a year? Resolutions keep calling and calling to turn around and tell us they HAVE NOT been crediting out account when we had already been sending extra for a couple months. We continue to make the extra payments BUT THEY STILL CALL with some issue. Why are we paying extra and still have an issue? They even sent someone to my MOTHERS HOME that has nothing to do with the loan and her information is on NOTHING. UNCALLED FOR AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Recently I was introduced to GreenState Credit union for an Auto loan, refinance
Recently I was introduced to GreenState Credit union for an Auto loan, refinance. Before finalizing the loan, their office had clearly informed and agreed to accepting credit card as a method of payment. After closing the loan, they realized that Credit card was not an option..For two months I have been troubled by their office and on two occasions ,the so called specialist was not able to process my payments.Payments were not going through because of their system issues..and my credit card was being blocked as they were processing the payments incorrectly A complete nightmare. Finally I had to schedule ACH..with my bank.Custome service extremely poor and the specialist writes an email to me saying he won't be able to take my call because he has meetings all day..Note: no time to take payments..but attend office meetings.NEVER EVER AGAIN WITH THEM..

Worst experience I have ever had they do not communicate I have 2 loans with them and they raised my interest for 4% to 21% because I didnt get them my title I had called there title department 3 times asking for it because I was late on my truck registration and they never told me it was my responsibility after charging me an extra $4000 in interest they final call me it took me 1 week to get it after I was notified it was my responsibility and they did not work with me on adjusting my loan or the interest they had stolen from me. On my motorcycle loan I got dropped from my insurance for four months they charge me an extra $2500 for insurance without any kind of notification once I noticed the charge on my loan I called them and they told me that I had signed that in my loan agreement once again they did not work with me I got insurance that same day and they refunded me $1200 so they charge me $1300 for insurance for four months I wouldve got an insurance the same day they had called me if they wouldve given me a warning but once again Im stating they do not communicate with you I would not recommend this credit union to anybody they might give you a better interest rate but theyre sure to find a way to get money out of you

GreenState Credit Union Complaints 3
Credit card
Horrible experience
It's hard to list how many mistakes they have made.
1. They failed to transfer a title on a car loan as paperwork showed then didn't inform me. Then at payoff I had huge back taxes
2. 5+ attempts to get online banking working. Calls and stop ins. Never fixed it. Online says talk with branch - branchh says talk online.
3. Was 'sold' on getting a credit card with them Banker promised to handle autopay for us.
Then when we actually needed autopay it wasn't setup, I got a 30 day ding o credit, and they wouldn't resolve it.
Combine with never fixing my online banking I was dependent on their honesty in getting my autopay setup. I was certainly wrong to trust them.
When I tried to fix the credit issue I had to make 10+ calls all said they would fix it - except last one they said. Oh it was never on autopay.
I left. At another bank a private banker helps me, has gotten me multiple quality loans at better rates and terms than greenstate - and the part 5-6 cars in last 5 years greenstate fails every time.
Extremely poor customer service, not competitive, and just drops the ball in handling important documents.
I will Steer clear and never go back!
Desired outcome: Fox the 30 day late! It the only one on my entire credit file for every account in maybe 14+ years!
We have an RV financed and have always made payments on time
We have an RV financed and have always made payments on time. In July , they added $16,660.00 for insurance that I had sent proof several times. This company charged us $16,660.00 and added it to our loan which of course increased our monthly payment. We, in fact, did have the required insurance so I emailed several (probably 10 times) the proof of insurance. They had come to the conclusion that there was a lapse in coverage however, my proofs of insurance contradicted their opinion. Now, since our loan is behind considering the increase in the premium, I am fearing that they are going to repossess our RV, which is our current temporary home.

Charged hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees that is keeping my account negative
Charged hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees that is keeping my account negative. All purchases I made are covered. No notification of overdrafts. This bank takes advantage of vulnerable community members with predatory account fees and heartless, inhumane customer service. I carelessly allowed my account to be overdrawn, for which I accept responsibility. When I discovered this, I scheduled a transfer of funds to cover more than the amount of the overdraft. Between the time that I scheduled the transfer and when the funds hit the account, I was charged hundreds more dollars in overdraft fees. When I called to resolve the issue, I was told that a manager would return my call. They never did. Weeks later, someone did call to check on my account, and there was no knowledge or note of my previous call. I spoke with an account resolution specialist who was incredibly rude and shaming. I did not ask the bank to cover any of my purchases; I deposited enough funds in the account to cover all of my purchases and then some. It was the exorbitant and punitive individual overdraft fees, which the bank has the sole discretion to charge or remove, that kept me in the red. I only asked that the bank remove enough of the fees (not all) to restore my account to positive and close it. I am a student and unemployed, stuck at home during shelter-in-place orders. They refused, saying that this was entirely my fault for mismanaging my account and that they are unable to refund more than one overdraft fee.

I initially had a accident June 8, 2022 while working. Unable to work and receiving partial payments for injuries received via electronic check from a claims company. I am a student and new resident of ***. Deciding to deposit and open a new account with this credit union on June 23; in order to sustain myself for the duration of my stay. During account setup inside the branch, the teller explained the all of the mission, rules and regulations of the bank. He also verified the check via phone with the bank and claims management company that cleared the check; due to its large amount. However, once verifying this information it was made clear to me new accounts have 10-day holds for protection of the bank and customer. My issue is per the U.S. Federal Act In ***, Congress passed the Expedited Funds Availability Act (PDF) (***), to address concerns about the lengths of holds banks were then placing on checks deposited by their customers. The *** establishes maximum permissible hold periods for checks and other deposits. The Board's Regulation CC (12 CFR part 229) implements the funds-availability and disclosure provisions of the *** in Subpart B of the regulation. meaning that its at the banks discretion to minimize the hold period. Well its been 8 total days since deposit, or 6 business days. Ive tried calling customer support & reaching out to online support to get funds released earlier. No prevail. So I am forced to wait a total of 14-Days! when electronic checks can be verified instantaneously. Not only am I in dire need of these funds because of bills and fees. I am forced to wait until after a bank holiday (4th of july) to be able to utilize funds. I despise saying this, but I believe this refusal to release such an extreme hold is due to discrimination. Regardless of credit score or check systems score if a customer is asking for services within a reasonable means; then the bank should be willing to conveniently and efficiently meet the need.
they are charging me %40 interest on $5,000 loan. So far after a year payments I still owe $4,400. I called them. They just lie and lie. Gojng go report them to ComplaintsBoard.com. And lawyer looked at my statements and was shocked at the interest I am paying.
