FALSE ADVERTISING - BEWARE
FALSE ADVERTISING - BEWARE. Hyundai in Gurnee on Grand Ave. I've seen tons of reviews all say the same thing. They advertise a price online, I drive an hour out to see a $20,400 vehicle. After test driving and getting down to negotiating, they tell me it will be $28,000. What? They showed me that they added $4000 for the following (LoJack system installed, Xilion finish-some sort of protective paint coating, and their precertification check and very minor parts replaced). THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. If these aren't options, if it was already done to the vehicle - - then they shouldn't advertise $20,400, they should advertise $24,400. Sounds like not a big deal but I wasted $38 in gas driving an hour and half out to see this vehicle. Gas is like 5.80/gal right now, so I was very frustrated. Yes we tried negotiating these extra charges, but they only went down about $1500 to about $26775. We passed. Very disappointing.
Reached out to the business about a vehicle they had listed
Reached out to the business about a vehicle they had listed. Indicated I was planning on driving (30 minutes) to come and look at the vehicle. Asked them to confirm that it was available for a test drive. After much run around and a commitment from the person on the phone that someone (their VIP salesperson - which effectively means next man up) would be available and that the car would be ready for me, I drove to the dealership. Once I arrived, the vehicle was nowhere to be found and I was told by a sales person that it was not even on the site and was still being prepared for the lot. Asked if I would like to see something else! NO! I came to drive the car that the dealership said was there. Total waste of 90 minutes of time. I tried briefly to have a conversation with a manger to express my disappointment but (of course) everyone was in meetings or on th phone and no one was available. An absolute waste of a time and would strongly suggest people avoid this dealership.

The purchasing experience was highly unsatisfactory. I would advise against patronizing this establishment. My sales representative was subpar, pressuring me into decisions and lacking transparency. He even solicited a positive review from me before we had completed a test drive. Although I am pleased with the vehicle I acquired, the overall process was disappointing. Initially, they presented me with figures that were unacceptable. I made it clear that I would only proceed if the price met my target. Subsequently, the salesperson returned with documents for me to sign without discussing the new figures. Without my consent or finalizing the deal, he transferred my license plates from my trade-in to the new car. It was only after negotiating in the finance office that we arrived at agreeable terms. I pointed out to the salesperson that the car needed fuel and was assured it would be taken care of before departure. Despite confirming this with another employee, I discovered upon leaving that the fuel level was unchanged. When I raised the issue, I received a mere apology and no solution. Attempts to discuss this with a manager were fruitless, as my calls were never returned. Inquiries about a product I bought yielded inconsistent responses. My mother, initially interested in purchasing a vehicle from them with cash as a retirement gift to herself, decided against it after hearing about my ordeal. Eventually, when I confronted the salesperson, he denied promising to refuel the car, contradicting our earlier conversation in his office. The most frustrating aspect is the breach of trust and dishonesty. Therefore, for those considering a vehicle purchase, I suggest looking elsewhere.
We made an appointment to come to this dealership from a significant distance away, with all intentions of purchasing a 2020 Impala. The price listed online was attractive. We talked to the dealership three times prior to coming down as we didn't want any surprises once we got there. My husband made the trip after working an 8-hour day, rushed down there by 6 pm, only to be told the price was $32,000! My husband said, 'I think you pulled the wrong info...' and showed them the picture we had on our phone from the day before for this vehicle. The salesperson said, 'Well, the price can change from day to day.' This is unbelievable! Keep in mind this vehicle had been sitting on their lot for three months! I called and spoke to a representative and was told, 'We probably did some work to it since yesterday so we have to pass that on to the customer.' Yeah, right! I would never deal with this dealership again! A bunch of crooks! I'm not sure how they can lie outright to people like that! It's sad, very sad!
This review is for fraudulent practices regarding sales and disrespectful, demeaning behaviors by staff. I came in to purchase a car that was posted on their website for $18,220 but was told that the car would cost $28,277. In small print on the in-person quote were $4416 worth of "accessory charges." When asked why this wasn't posted on the website, I was told by the director of E-Commerce that "this is the way that business is done." He then attempted to "negotiate" with me, offering me reduction after reduction. I did not want a negotiation, but continued to ask for the car at the posted price. In addition to the fraud, the director was condescending and sexist. I have purchased 11 cars and never experienced anything like it.
Regarding the fraud, I noticed that in April the car was listed as $22,500 on the website and then "reduced." Note that the original price is almost exactly the price of the car if the accessories had been included. This is a blatant attempt to misrepresent the "reduced" price of the car while still selling it for the original price.
I next reported this to the management who told me that "our service department had some additional work done for our reconditioning process that wasn't accounted for, which our internal price reflected but our online price did not." Although he offered me the car at the posted price, he did this because I informed him of I was reporting them to the regulatory authorities for fraud (which I did). From beginning to end, I was lied to, manipulated, and condescended to. Multiple reasons were given for the discrepancy in cost, none true- this is bad enough, but the overall customer service was also miserable. The director repeatedly lied to me about the way that things work. He told me that things are always done this way, that I would never find a better price, and that he was going to work hard to help me out and give me the accessories almost for free. I know sexism and gaslighting when I see it.
We're not locals but located our ideal car at a great price, prompting a 5-hour drive.
We're not locals but located our ideal car at a great price, prompting a 5-hour drive. Prior to our visit, we communicated with the salesman, who was courteous and helpful. Aware of our long journey to test drive and purchase the car, we intended to buy it. However, during our talks, he didn't mention the hefty dealership fees added to the car's price. The vehicle, priced at $23,991, had nearly $7,000 in additional fees, a detail buried in the fine print. This was a letdown. Opting for a slightly pricier car elsewhere seems better than supporting this dealership. After my reviews on review sites, I've received numerous harassing calls and messages from unknown sources, leading me to suspect my information was shared without consent.
I purchased an SUV from this dealership and specifically told them if I find any problems that I will be returning it. Upon purchasing the vehicle I asked can it be placed on a lift to check underneath it. I was turned down. When it was time for me to take the vehicle home, they did not even have the decency to put gas nor replace the key fob battery. I had to put my own gas in the vehicle and buy a key fob battery. I returned the vehicle for them to inspect it and they're own technicians found the vehicle to need front control arms, which can be an safety hazard. I was told and i quote "We can not replace them because they have not gone bad yet." So basically I have to ride around with my children and wait for the truck to fully break in order for them to fix it. This dealership is beyond horrible and need to just be shut down.
I bought a 2019 hyundai tucson with 7,500 miles one week after the muffer started to make loud noise call this guys they told me about a third party they're using for muffer went make appointment they look at my muffer and said it needs to replace ask how much $750 I call gurnee hyundai they said to come in for them to look at I went mechanic said car is fine the sound will go away haha I went to another place the mechanic drove the car and said the muffer is not good $800 to replace call gurnee hyundai again they told me the same thing they mechanic didn't fine anything wrong with my muffer wose dealer ship/ mechanic stay away from this dealership before you end up like me with out a muffer
I dropped off my car on Dec 3 for service. I was told they were very busy but guaranteed they would look at it on Dec 6 at the latest. Dec 6 I left 3 text messages and one voice message. I did not get any response. Dec 7, after waiting on hold for the the service manager for 15 minutes, he told me they have not looked at my car and "might" get to it Dec 8. In the meantime I'm paying $50.00 per day for a rental. This is the definition of horrible customer service.
Awesome and friendly dealership! *** made thing quick and easy as my salesman. Great dealership overall!
Buyer beware!
Buyer beware! This was the sneakiest, most deceptive, and misleading dealership I have ever dealt with or heard of. All the bad you hear about dealing with a car salesman are absolutely true at this car dealership. I should have known that when I first walked in there as one customer was arguing with one of the salesman, another one stormed out the door, and another was complaining about having to wait over an hour before being talked to. I was flying in from a different state to go look at a vehicle. The salesman I dealt with (Kamal) knew I was flying in and that I was limited on time. Despite that he made me wait over an hour (said it will take 5-7 min) for him to grab the keys and test drive. The test drive went good but he was still in no hurry as I mentioned multiple times I was short on time. Finally, got around to the price and they wanted $7000! over the price advertised. Made me wait another 45 min before the manager walked in and offered me $3,000 over the price advertised. When I left they called and said they lowered it even more but still much more than the advertised price. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP, they are a bunch of snake oil salesman. I am amazed theyre still in business and have as good of reviews as they do. On top of it all they spammed my email and phone number.
wow the same story over and over again about the $3000 that is a hidden fee lol these guys need to be shut down!please do not buy any cars from this establishment they are crooks and unfortunately probably get away with this more often then not!
Buyer Beware! This will be in three parts: Buying, Car Repair, and Service.
Buying: The reviews already highlight issues with scummy price changes and attempts to get customers to sign documents with altered prices. From the outset, they tried to upsell me to more expensive cars, suggesting I should get a second job to afford them. Their aggressive sales tactics were off-putting, but I stood firm and purchased a car within my budget.
Service: After 27,000 miles, my car experienced multiple breakdowns. When it finally wouldn't start, I paid for a tow, only for the car to start upon arrival at the dealership (it's suspected that the tow may have jostled something loose). The dealership was initially hesitant to inspect the car since it was running, but after some persuasion, they agreed. They called me 30 minutes later claiming nothing was wrong, despite the frequent breakdowns. A week later, the car broke down again. This time, after much debate with the service manager, a technician was sent out and quickly identified a problem under the hood. It was frustrating that this obvious issue was missed during the initial inspection. The dealership admitted a part they installed was faulty and estimated a 2-week repair time. When I requested a loaner car, citing the warranty and their responsibility, they refused, claiming a shortage of rental vehicles and cost issues. The repair timeline then extended to 4-6 weeks, which would result in a significant loss of income for me as I rely on my vehicle for work.
I've made several attempts to discuss these issues with the General Manager, especially regarding the cost of a rental and the poor service. Initially, a salesman promised to pass on my details to the manager, but I received no response. When the repair time was extended, I visited the dealership to speak with the manager directly, only to be told by the same salesman that the manager was unavailable. He rudely refused to take my information, instructing me to contact them online instead. After persistent arguing, he agreed to pass on my message, but still, no callback was received. Now, I'm left without a car, unable to work, and with no communication from the dealership. My family and I will not be doing business with Gurnee Hyundai again due to their deplorable customer service and lack of accountability.
Beware! *** Gurnee Hyundai has deceptive business practices. I made an appointment on the Gurnee Hyundai website and even received a confirmation to bring my car in on 9/1 at 7:00 AM. It is now 9/8 and my car has not even been looked at. I have had to spend $500 to rent a car so that my car can just sit at the dealer waiting to be diagnosed. Pretty deceptive business practice. Why say you have open appointments when you clearly don't. I would have never brought my car to this dealership had I known this. I've made several calls, but get the same answer in that they'll get to it soon and they'll call me back. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...
I had an appointment as I've been on the search for a Genesis. I saw that a dealership had one in stock and called to verify it wasn't already sold. That was confirmed with a sales representative, and I asked about the price. It was confirmed that it was the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), which was listed on the site. I then called several times during the day before my appointment at 7 pm to make sure there weren't any dealership add-ons, as I was driving in from a distance to Gurnee. Despite multiple attempts, leaving messages and texts, I received no callback. Finally, I got a call hours later from the so-called manager, who seemed very rude and a bit arrogant on the phone. I politely asked if there were any dealership add-ons, and he informs me, 'Of course, we tack on an extra $4,500 above MSRP.' I declined and hung up. If that's the case, the dealership should update their website to reflect the actual pricing so no one wastes their time. Additionally, they should educate their staff instead of misleading and misinforming potential buyers to lure them into the dealership with one price and possibly switching it when they arrive. This is bad business practice and quite frankly borders on fraud. I'm so glad I did not make the drive up there; it would have been a waste of time, and after speaking with the manager, I wouldn't want to give him my business. If I'm going to pay upwards of $60k for a vehicle, I expect the service to be much better. I would suggest creating stand-alone dealerships separate from Hyundai.

I know about respect and integrity
I know about respect and integrity. I understand business ethics as well. I found a 2018 Toyota Avalon on Capital One's Auto Navigator app for sale at Gurnee Hyundai for $18,991. On the New Year's Eve, I called to inquire about the vehicle and was told that it was still available and informed the young lady that I'd stop in the following morning. I drove about an hour away with the intent to purchase the Avalon. When I arrived, I was greeted by Kristhian Paul and Roger F. De Vito, I informed them that I was interested in the 2018 Toyota Avalon for $18,991 and they both seemed interested in ensuring that I was able to get this deal. As a disabled veteran, I do have some pretty serious health issues which cause me to become fatigued pretty quickly. So I sat there for about 3 hours and they came up with a deal. Now, initially, I didn't notice that the purchase price was approximately $3,330.00 MORE than the dealer advertised price that I mentioned earlier. I did obtain financing through Capital One Finance and drove off in my new car. After I purchased my car, Kristhian and Roger both were texting, calling, and emailing me to make sure that I was pleased with my purchase. Of course I was! Love the car. THEN I looked over my contract and paperwork and noticed that the purchase price was $22,321! Now, I'm heated! Even if I did sign the paperwork, this is WRONG. How dare an established take advantage of anyone ESPECIALLY someone that is disabled! I emailed Roger and Kristhian and received no response. I've already spoken to an attorney about this scenario and there's nothing that I can do (legally) however, I will MOST certainly address the issue on another level. Signed, A PISSED off Marine Corp VETERAN.
This place is the worst!
This place is the worst! In trying to utilize an incentive to test drive the vehicle ($50 *** Card) we did so. We were considering purchasing until the sales Rep, Bryan, who barely made conversation or said "hello" mentioned they couldn't go down in price. We spoke with the sales manager in charge who refused to even quote us and said for us to give him a number. I didn't have a number. I wanted a quote so I could price elsewhere too. Their shady practices didn't stop there. We left. However, after 4 weeks our incentive for driving wasn't sent. We called and called. They stated it was up to the discretion of the dealership. Nowhere did it say that and it was pretty shady that if you didnt purchase from them, they wouldn't consider the incentive. Not only that, but the car was priced $3,000 more dollars in their dealership. We said this to them and they acted as if it was wrong and they also said, "well, this is also a used rep car". The ones the managers would drive. This, again, was not stated until we walked into the place to test drive it. Unfortunately, my emails and calls went unanswered until I threatened to file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com. Then, they told me they would ship it out to me. I also filed a complaint with the IL Secretary of State, as well. To add insult to injury, after we received the card, their dealership kept calling us and emailing us asking if we were coming back. No! we already ended up purchasing a vehicle elsewhere due to their unwillingness to deal. If you feel troubled, Please, help the people out and file the complaints and reviews so others can see what shady practices they run. We ended up going to Elgin Hyundai. To be honest, their price was more, but their sales reps were friendlier and offered great incentives and help.
I set an appointment for Saturday at 330
I set an appointment for Saturday at 330. I arrived at 325 to look over the car I was considering. About 2 minutes in I was "greeted" by a sales person. He asked if I had been helped. I said no but another couple had arrived before me. Then he goes on to say his sales team is helping other customers and he "can't have people just wandering around the sales floor, there are 2 designated waiting areas you can sit at with coffee and water" I am not wandering, I am looking at the car I want to buy and there were a total of 3 people, me and the other couple in the show room "wandering around." His attitude was un-necessary and it's not like there was a sign that said sit here until you are helped. So mildly annoyed at this point I sat and waited for the sales person that was "just wrapping up and should be with me in a few minutes" well 4 rolls across and I get up to look for someone and the sales floor is bare. Maybe they over booked who knows but I don't have more time to wait around to start my test drive (I took an hour out of my schedule figuring 30 mins or less for test drive and maybe the same discussing pricing.) The person who scheduled the appointment sent me a text on Monday to say sorry I couldn't make the appointment. I told her I was there but I didn't have extra time to wait around that long. She rescheduled me for Wednesday and assured me her sales manager was informed and it wouldn't happen again. Well Wednesday came and as usual I am 5 minutes early(which is on time the way I was raised) I spoke with a gentleman on my way in who directed me to the waiting area and told me a sales person would be with me shortly. I waited until 4 again. Sales floor empty again. I left again. If they are this disrespectful with my time before they have my money I can only imagine the headaches after...
Terrible buying experience
Terrible buying experience. I wouldnt recommend anyone going here. My salesman *** was terrible. He rushed me to do things and wasnt transparent about anything. Even before going out for a test drive, he continued to ask for me to write him a good review. Im happy with the car that I got but the overall experience was bad. Some number came back the first time and I told them that I didnt want to accept those and if they could get it down to a certain number then Ill take it. Right after that he comes back with paper work for me to sign with out even giving me numbers. He took my license plates off my trade in and placed them on the new car without me even accepting the offer nor making it to the finance office first. After sitting in the finance office and getting some decent numbers. I mentioned to *** that theres no gas in the vehicle and if they could put some gas in before me leaving the lot. He agreed to do so. I also mentioned it to *** and he said they will take care of me before leaving. So after leaving and getting on the highway, I looked at the gas hand and it was literally the same amount of gas that was in there when I test drove it. I contacted *** and he only apologized and didnt make any suggestions or how they could help on this inconvenience. I contacted the location to speak to a manager and no one never gave me a call back. Contacted them multiple times about a product that I purchased and got different answers every time. My mom really liked my Durango and was interested in paying cash for a vehicle at this location for a retirement gift to herself but after I explained to her my experience she changed her mind. After, finally speaking to ***, he denied saying he never told me that they would give me gas when we literally sat in his office and he told me they would give me gas before leaving. The thing that I am most upset about is not keeping your word and lying about it. So if you are interested in a vehicle, this is not a place

!*** BEWARE!
!*** BEWARE! I went with my son to get a used vehicle that he wanted here. For starters, the price of a used vehicle posted online was all of the sudden $5,000 more when he talked with the "sales" rep than what was posted. They added all of their "features"...$1200 for *** cleaning and another $350 for some type of "insurance", even though he already has insurance. We asked to have that removed because it was not needed nor wanted. *** proceeded to say that it goes on all of his vehicles and it is a great value. It may be a value to them, but not to my son. He went and got his manager who introduced himself to us as "***". Once again, he didn't care one bit about us as customers, all he cared about was selling a vehicle. He was nothing but a bully. After we went rounds about it, they removed those 2 items, but jacked the price of the vehicle itself back up by $2000. To make a long story short, "***", the sales manager failed to change his name on the picture of himself posted at the dealership. Once we saw the pictures, come to find out "***" has a different name of ***. Maybe so a frustrated potential customer will write a review and there isn't a "***" in the building. NOTHING *** LIES FROM THESE GUYS. It is very sad that a business would allow a MANAGER to flat out lie to people and wrangle his sales reps into his circus and also call him "***". I truly pray that the owner of the business gets a handle on his employees to be honest with people. We spoke with another customer there that they did the same thing to. Truly pathetic! And don't bother responding to my review with: "Your satisfaction is important to us and I would appreciate the chance to speak with you to learn more about your recent experience. Please contact me when you are free. Thank you". You had my "free" time for way longer than you should have...that was MY mistake. Hire people who have integrity and who are honest...if you prefer employees who lie and try to bully customers, congratulations, you have succeeded!
This was a disastrous experience, I am not sure what other way to describe this entire ordeal today
This was a disastrous experience, I am not sure what other way to describe this entire ordeal today. *** overall was an aggressive salesman, which I don't mind and do expect. He was doing his job trying to get the sale. I was there seeing what was possible for the trade in of my vehicle, for which they came well under the *** blue book value. I told them I didn't think their offer was fair and we came to an eventual agreement on what I would walk out the door for a new car for. They couldn't meet it after some hours but were still hammering away a deal. I had another obligation to go to, told them so, and said I would be back to hammer it out the next day. They didn't like or appreciate that, I get it- they want the sale today. But after my many insistences that I wanted to discuss with my partner and that I would please like my car keys back, *** said his manager had my car key. Okay, go get it. He had me wait in the manager's office despite my insistence I had to leave. I waited there awhile, pacing, and asked another employee if he could please go locate my key. He asked, which prompted the manager, ***, to show up. By this time I was upset and told him to give me my car key, which he clearly didn't appreciate. In his words, "You don't tell me what to do here, in my enterprise or talk to me like that," as well as similar statements as I insisted he give me my property and allow me to leave. I said they could not reach the deal and I had somewhere else to go, so he got angry and insisted he could make this deal after blowing hot air at me for two hours and grossly yanking my chain and that I was going back on my word. When I insisted I had somewhere to be, his words were, "Then you shouldn't have even come here if you don't have time." Along with telling me I should not demand my property back after many instances of requesting my key and that I was both overreacting and unreasonable. If this is how they do business, I told them that I was not going to give them any of mine. When he was done publicly asserting his authority as he felt he needed to do, he got my key and I could leave. I will never return here, despite my good experience with the service department. Prime example of predatory behavior that no one should have to endure, and I am concerned with why they would allow someone like that to be in management at that location or any location. I refuse to be gaslit, and so should all your other customers.
Buyer Beware!
Buyer Beware! This will be 3 parts: Buying, Car repair, and Service.Buying: If the reviews of scummy price changes and trying to get people to sign documents where they changed the promised price aren't enough. Right from the start they tried selling me pricier cars and telling me to get a second income to pay for it. Very aggressive about it. I did not budge but they are scummy sellers. I stuck to my guns and got a car in my price range.Service: 27k miles after the purchase my car broke down 3-4 times. I finally paid to get it towed where unfortunately it started up when there (Tried jump starting on my own. Tow driver also tried to start and it wouldn't. We think it being moved by tow truck loosened something to make it start). They were reluctant to even look at it because it started I begged them to entertain me and take a look. 30 mins later he calls back and tells me to pick it up nothings wrong with it (even though its broken down repeatedly). A week later it breaks down again and after going in person and much arguing with the service manager I convince them to take a tech out to look at it as I'm not going to keep paying to get it towed. The tech finds an issue 2 minutes after popping the hood. Which is great by why did they not find such an obvious fault earlier when they supposedly looked at it in shop? Since the called before was so disregarding of my issue I whole heartedly believe they never even looked at it. So they bring it back to the shop and say one of their parts was faulty. Told it will take 2 weeks and I said since its warranty and a fault of your part, not my fault, will they be issuing me a rental car. They said no because the ones they use are out and the other companies they use are out of their price range(I mean youre a car dealership, reregister a cheap inventoried car for loaner purposes?). Now I got called back and said it will be 4-6 weeks to fix it. I drive for work so thats easily 3,000-4,000 dollars of lost income for me. But they say its too expensive for them? They are okay with their cars breaking down and their customers eating the cost. Still refusing to loan me a car because I'l be out of work otherwise for 4-6 weeks because they installed a faulty part.Service: I've repeatedly tried speaking with the General Manager as I was unsatisfied with them making me pay for my own rental because their car broke down and how poorly the car diagnosis and repair was going. *** a salesman told me he would give my info to the manager when I first had the tech come out, I tried talking with the *** that day but he was conveniently out of the office(Middle of the day, not lunch time, seriously?). A week later no response. Then when I was told it would be 4-6 weeks with no rental available I went in again to talk with the manager, *** again is there and this time tells me the manager is gone again and I ask him to give my information to the manager (again) and this time he refuses and says he can't do that. He says, very rudely and condescendingly, I need to go online(Who cant give a customer phone number to the manager when theyve had a bad experience? Later read reviews stating *** tried to scam multiple customers by raising sticker prices sometimes by *** dollars or agreeing to a price and putting a different price in the paperwork, so no surprise about his customer service). I argued and argued and he agreed to give my info to his manager. Never got a call. Now Im sitting here, no car, no ability to speak with , no call back, no apologies, rude replies, and I nor my family will EVER buy from Gurnee Hyundai again. What a disreputable vendor.

I have been trying to get my 2021 Hyundai Kona scheduled for service work
I have been trying to get my 2021 Hyundai Kona scheduled for service work. I have to continuously follow up with the dealership when I am told to wait for a response and on 5/24 I had scheduled an appointment with Erick and made arrangements with Erick and my salesperson Roger for a loaner vehicle since I use the vehicle as a company car but when I showed up I was told that I should take the car and reschedule. The car is making noises without power and I have been parking it outside for fear of something happening. I understand that new things can have issues but I would like to have my vehicle serviced.

I bought a truck from them in August, went through them for a loan, purchased GAP insurance through them, and then got the loan switched to my bank within 1 week. I notified them and they agreed to return the GAP money. I filled out forms and submitted them. No response for months, called left messages, even showed up. Was told by my senior Finance person that it would be handled quickly and they would call me within the day, which was 4 weeks ago. I have since called once a week or more and with either being put on hold for 57 min and 1 hr 33 min or just being disconnected. No one will talk to me and when I did show up they put me in the waiting room for 3 hours and "could not find finance personnel in the building". I have missed work due to this issue and they are withholding money that is rightfully mine

I purchased a 2013 Elantra and one year later, returned to the dealership and traded in this vehicle for a 2014 Elantra. I continue to receive marketing materials, phone calls, service promotions, warranty updates, and more for the 2013 Elantra, I literally sold back to the very dealership sending me these materials. I have repeatedly made requests to be removed from all mailing and calling lists. Every 3-4 months, I continue to receive additional calls and mailings. I have spoken to managers who have been very rude, front desk staff, and even the salesperson making the phone call. Each time I am reassured that my information will be removed, and I cannot seem to get a resolution.

I went to Gurnee Hyundaon on 7/31 to purchase a Tucson. The saleperson was persistent I needed a Pivotal Warranty on my vehicle and that I would benefit from having it saving on my insurance. He took My Geico insurance info. I kept on telling him I didnt wanted but he was just very persistent. Today in the morning I contact Geico to tell them the information on my new vehicle and also mentioned this Pivotal Wrranaty and they said I didnt needed that extra insurance because I was covered already and it would not benefit me in saving either. I was mislead by this dealer. I called back today and spoke with Kriss Paul salesperson, and he tells me again that I need it that I have to keep it. I spoke with the General manager Abel Barraza today also now he gives me a different story. He tells me I dont have an option with this warranty he said all his vehicles have it and we have to purchased it. On the paper I sign it gives me the option to accept or reject, but he doesnt. Plus he tells me I shouldnt complaint becauase I got a $2000 rebate. That made me more livid. I dont want this warranty that I dont want and need. I want a refund back of $399.00 please, this is fraud.
On 05/12 I signed a 36 months lease with the Gurnee Hyundai dealership
On 05/12 I signed a 36 months lease with the Gurnee Hyundai dealership. The problem is that they have silently included a 7 year (***) warranty and a SmartIdentity coverage for $799 and $349 respectively. At the beginning those features were presented to me as something that already comes with the car (as if they were free). So I have repeatedly told them I dont need those and would like to opt out of them. and they said no you cant opt out since its already included on the vehicle and dont affect the price. In regards to the *** they said the (spray) has been applied and they cant remove it. So I said ok if they dont affect the price, then sure. When signing the papers accountant showed me a couple pages of contract on screen indicating my monthly payment and residual value then quickly scrolled through other pages and turned screen around. Then asked me to sign empty boxes on iPad without labels. I latercalled Xzil&Smart and confirmed I could cancel but dealer refused

I bought a 2011 Hyundai from this dealership almost two weeks ago
I bought a 2011 Hyundai from this dealership almost two weeks ago. Since then, I've used it for about 5 trips, totaling 100 miles. Today, it wouldn't start. Jumping it didn't help, so I contacted the salesman who showed no concern. Towing it for 3 miles cost me $112, which they refused to cover. At the dealership, they diagnosed a starter issue and quoted $674.68 for repairs. The salesman remained indifferent to covering costs. I found the part at Autozone for $150 with a lifetime warranty, revealing the dealer's $500 labor charge as excessive.

I visited with my son and his father to buy a used Malibu, his inaugural vehicle.
I visited with my son and his father to buy a used Malibu, his inaugural vehicle. We paid $11k for the vehicle, assured it had been thoroughly inspected. We expected only routine maintenance due to its mileage. However, in less than 9 months, we've incurred over $3000 in repairs for engine issues, one causing a stall on Grand Avenue. The check engine light has illuminated again, signaling more costly mechanic visits. Had we known the extent of issues, we might have opted for a higher-mileage, less expensive car. Our confidence in the dealership's vetting process for used cars is shattered, feeling misled about the car's reliability. We'll certainly not recommend this dealership nor return for future purchases for our daughter or ourselves.

On September 1, I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Kona with *** miles from Gurnee Hyundai
On September 1, I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Kona with *** miles from Gurnee Hyundai. The *** # ***. While negotiating the sale, I asked if the factory warranty came with the car and both the salesperson and finance manager told me it did not and had me purchase an extended warranty that cost $1869.00. I found out that the factory warranty does transfer over to the car from a different dealership. In addition, they never told me that it did not have a 2nd ignition key which will cost me another $450.00 and the lug nut tire key is also missing which means if I have a flat tire I can't change the tire without that key. If I have my mechanic drill off the lug nuts that will be another $260.00. I paid $25,000 for this car. I am 66 years old and on a limited income. I want three things. Reimbursement of the cost of the warranty, and replacement keys for both the ignition key and lug nut key. Or have the dealership purchase back the vehicle for what I paid for it. This is FRAUD against a senior when they knew that the factory warranty did transfer and they lied to sell an extended warranty..

I purchased a used vehicle from Gurnee Hyundai on an Thursday 10/21
I purchased a used vehicle from Gurnee Hyundai on an Thursday 10/21. I am a certified automotive technician. I specifically asked my salesman (***) & the General Sales Manager ( *** ) can the vehicle be placed on a car lift for me to check the under *** I was declined but was told by *** that everyone of his technicians are trained and certified under every brand manufacture. I was told by *** that if they're is a problem to bring the vehicle back. I made it very clear to both gentlemen that I will go through the vehicle and I will return it for them to honor they're word if I find a major concern. Saturday 10/23 I found out the vehicle needs front CV Axles which is an major safety concern. I immediately contacted my salesman *** and was of course giving the run around. I was told to get a inspection report, which I have but was never asked about it again. I received a call from the service department manager ( *** ) to bring the vehicle in for an inspection. I proceeded to bring the vehicle in on my off day, Thursday 10/28. One of they're own certified technicians found that the vehicle needs front control arms. I was told by *** that they can not fix it because it is not bad. So basically I have to wait till it completely breaks off the vehicle while I have my children in the vehicle for them to fix just 1 of the problems. I simply want them to honor what they told me and fix the vehicle, the fact that they haven't & been ignoring me is completely unacceptable!

An $8000 upgrade was promised which is not there in the car sold to us- Here are the details- My wife and I purchased a used Tesla from the Gurnee Hyundai dealership on Saturday 09/26. We have been cheated and tricked. On 09/26, after I looked at a used Tesla I called the dealership to learn about the car's features. My wife asked their employee, Savannah if the car had the full self driving package ( an $8000 upgrade) She said that she did not know that and that she will find that out for me. We said to her very clearly that we will only come to see the car, if it is a fully self-driving car. A little while later she texted my wife saying," Hi Parul, great news the Tesla Model 3 has full self driving. We called her once again to confirm and she confirmed this verbally over the phone..( We have the text communication with Savannah on our phone). We set up an appointment with her to see the car on Saturday. On Saturday Salesman, Billy, took us for a test drive the car. We asked him again if the car was fully self-driving and he said," Yes, it has everything. This is a great car. It has all the bells and whistles.. It was a special order car ordered for an event so it has more features than other cars.. Honestly, I don't know how to use all of these things that are in the car. If you were purchasing it at Tesla you would get a six hour demo." We thought we could figure out all of the features after we purchased the car. After a lot of negotiations with Billy and then with manager Mike we purchased the car. We took delivery of the car on Monday evening .What we did not expect was that this car is not fully self driving as promised . We suspected something was not okay as we took it on the highway on our drive home from the dealership. More research on the issue has confirmed that the car does not have it. Unbelievable!

My fianc and I bought a 2017 Tucson from Gurnee Hyundai in February
My fianc and I bought a 2017 Tucson from Gurnee Hyundai in February . We were under the impression at the time of purchase that the vehicle was being sold certified pre-owned. We now have complete engine failure after only having the car for two years. Corporate is telling us we dont have the *** mile powertrain warranty, even though that comes with a certified pre-owned Hyundai. When I called Gurnee Hyundai they put me in contact with the salesman who sold us the car. He said they do not sell certified ore-owned cars, even though their website says they do. I called Gurnee Hyundai back and just asked if they sell certified pre-owned and was told they do, but didnt currently have any in inventory. When I shared what our issue was, I was transferred to someone from else who either hung up, or lost the call. When I called back, I spoke to another person and asked if they sell certified pre-owned vehicles. This person also told me yes, but when I explained our situation, I was put on hold and then told never-mind, they dont actually sell certified vehicles. Our car began having engine shakiness/hesitation at least a year ago. While it was under the *** mile warranty, I took it to our local dealership in April and they told me that engine shakiness was normal and the car was fine. In November we began having issues with the engine and were told we have complete engine failure. There is currently a recall on other *** for engine failure/fires and the information on Hyundai's website includes engine shakiness/hesitation and a ticking noise as warning signs to the engine failure and/or fires. This is exactly what we experienced, but cant seem to get any help from Hyundai on the issue, both at the dealership and corporate levels. I filed a complaint with Complaintsboard.com against corporate Hyundai and have yet to get a response.

We passed. Very disappointing.
was very helpful, pleasant and patient while I was trying to make up my mind about this decision.
The staff and salesman were absolutely amazing. They worked with us and got us in a new Palisade within two days. With current shortages we purchased sight unseen, but the salesmans expertise in the vehicle gave us a clear depiction of what we were buying. The manager and salesman interactions and their way of conducting business has made us customers for life!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Helped me get what I wanted and at a good deal. Definitely recommend to any friends and family or anyone. *** and many were very nice and helpful.
