staff was rude
A staff member (Hispanic lady, long hair tied back) screamed into my ears telling me that I shouldn't let me daughter play with a store sign. I had literally just turned around to pick up my daughter's jacket from the floor (she took it off) and within a split second this staff member felt she had the right to scream at me. The fierce look on her face literally scared me and my daughter. I have never been treated so poorly in a store. Please get rid of this staff ASAP. She doesn't deserve to work in a environment that serves parents and children.
clothing return and bad employee attitude
I went to the Gymboree store at Carolina Place Mall in Charlotte NC on 10/27 at 8:00PM to return some clothes with the receipt. The only cashier there also claimed she was the manager only gave me credit of $1.25 on several of the shirts that I paid $6.00 each when I bought them. When I asked her about it, she gave me all kinds of excuses about the system ringing it up that way, etc. Then she got really upset, yelled at me, used curse words, and kicked me out of the store! I spend a lot of money at Gymboree each year and definitely do not deserve to be treated this way. Not only was I not made while on my return, but was also threatened by a crazy store employee. I will never go back to that store as long as that employee still works there and may never make online purchases at Gymboree anymore either unless this issue is addressed. I will also look to see if Gymboree is registered on the Better Business Bureau or other agencies where I can file a complaint.
saudi arabia/khobar branch
Hello, I would like to express my deep satisfaction from the poor arrangement and the poor attitude of the branch manager. We we were supposed to attend the Halloween party that starts at 4:30. I came 30 minutes earlier with my daughter thinking that I need to do any REGISTERATION and to get her ready for the party. Unfortunately, Ms. Randy was extremely rude with poor attitude. She didn't allow us in. Instead, she was asking me to go back to the car, which I did not have as my husband dropped me and left, or to go to a coffee shop and wait with my 2 year old child. I had to call my husband who lucky was still around but it took him 15 minutes to come back and I had to wait with my daughter. The weather was dusty and hot and by the way my daughter is asthmatic. That was not taken into consideration as other kids and families started accumulating at the front of the door. Then she finally opened the door at 4:15
My question is why there was no clear statement when we should arrive, if they want people to come exactly at 4:30 why that was not mentioned in the ticket or at least verbally said at the time we bought our tickets.
We thought this would be a happy event for us and our daughter. Unfortunately we went in so frustrated, my daughter was very annoyed and in a bad mood as well because of poor planning that could easily avoided.
I am asking to have a corrective and I believe I derive an official apology from Gymboree for what we have been through.
Please feel free to contact me for more information
Regards,
Dalal AlAbdulazeem

service
My child goes to Gymboree Malaysia Bangsar village 2 at Jalan Telawi 1, Bangsar Baru. He is being made fun of by the Teachers. Like they call him lil big and stuff about his size. I am not happy with that. I don't want to name the teachers. But it's highly disappointing that such a big group like Gymboree has such poor standards followed within the playschool. Kindly take some action. As parents we expect our child to get the best treatment at schools and alike. And making fun of a kid is something not appropriate. It would be right for Gymboree to take some proper action.
clothes quality
I am a regular customer of Gymboree clothes for my daughter. I am very disappointed with the quality of the clothes since during my purchase last couple of times. One warm fleece lined legging was having a big rip at the back of the pant which I noticed after coming home. The other time, very much surprised seeing a capri legging fade out for one wash, and surprisingly the leg are not equally size, one was far shorter than other! Very very bad quality these days!
rude and defensive store manager
When my daughter took some clothing back to exchange for size 6-12 months instead of the ones the manager sold me the night before ( which she said would fit a 12 mo.but were actually sized for an 18 mo.old) the manager was very rude and defensive. My daughter had spoken on phone with another person the night before to ask if we could get them in 6-12 mo. The clerk argued that there was no such size and finally said "I don't have any kids or know anything about what size babies wear, when!" I guess the manager was "ready" for my daughter the next morning when she came in to see if she could exchange them and was very ugly and rude to my daughter in front of everyone. What in the world happened to customer service skills being taught to people? We will NEVER shop at Gymboree again.
store manager
they posted they were hiring and so apply and then had interview and told me she would call me when there more hours and she was looking for someone to work 6 to 12 hours a week and I told her I would be willing do that and she would call. I emailed them about me not hearing anything and she called and told me that I misunderstood that looking for those 6 to 12 hours a week and when they more hours they would call and they will keep my file for three years. here she was looking for someone to hire but then she didn't hire. I felt that she lied to me and false advertising about a job.so not too happy.
Maybe they didn't hire you because you're functionally illiterate.
I am not. I passed algrebra and graduated from high school and I had jobs before and I am very smart too. and what you said was uncalled for.
manager of crazy 8 in taylor michigan
I was in your crazy 8 store at south land mall in Taylor mi. The whole time in there I heard the manager yelling and degrading the sales associate. I then asked the manager if she had a certain size in the back her response to me was " I don't have time to look." I told her thank you and walked out of the store. I am a huge customer for Gymboree. I have quite a few children and only shop Gymboree stores for them but after this incident it makes me want to find a different brand of clothing for them.
gymbucks
I made a purchase on 11/16/2017, in the amount of $195.68, which earned me a $75.00 GymBucks certificate. The transaction # is 46*2*271720, Store # 46, Operator: Gabriela at 1:36 pm.
The GymBucks # is [protected]. Pin # 8675. To be redeemed between January 18 - 28, 2018.
Here is my issue. I am a disabled person as the result of a brain tumor. I frequently go in and out of the hospital. I was in the hospital for a seizure in December. I was not able to drive for over a month and remained quite ill for sometime. I had forgotten about the date of expiration of the GymBucks and When I looked for it in my drawer to buy my grandchildren Some items for Valentine's Day I realized that the GymBucks had expired on the 28th. This I realized on the 30th when I was finally able to go shopping. I went to Gymboree where I made my original purchase, on that day, which is at the Boca Raton mall in Boca Raton Florida. I explained this to the sales person, Which is obvious from my walking with the cane and extremely slow. She said it was not possible to grant me the $75 gym bucks. I asked if she could please reach out to corporate or a district manager to make an exception and she did not make the effort. I frequently purchase my grandchildren clothing at Gymboree since they were born, either here or in California where they lived. $75 to a disabled 62-year-old woman is a lot of money for a two day delay in a purchase which probably would have resulted in another $200 purchase. I sincerely believe that you should make this exception and grant me my $75. If Gymboree does not find this two day delay reasonable enough to do so then I believe I am justified in taking my business elsewhere.
Thank you

Dear Madam or Sir:
On February 7, 2018, I received a fraudulent order through my email address ([protected]@gmail.com) this evening. I logged in and tried to cancel it, (in addition to changing my password and contacting my bank, and freezing all accounts). The order details are below:
CONFIRMATION #G00987708 02/07/2018 SHIPPING
Brieana Werderman
8167 Deseret Ave, Fair Oaks, CA [protected],
US Economy 7-10 Business Days
PAYMENT MasterCard ************4350
My account is under [protected]@gmail.com.
Unfortunately, I was unable to do cancel this order or deactivate my account and thus called the Gymboree customer service. I spoke to Julie who refused to give me her ID# (case #157603). She refused to cancel my order. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She placed me on hold and came back to tell me 'not to worry'. I told her that was unacceptable and to please put her supervisor on the phone. She was dismissive, continually spoke over me, and refused to put a supervisor on the phone-- instead repeating the same talking points. After approximately 35 minutes on the phone, repeatedly asking to escalate my case, I asked her for the name and phone number of her supervisor. At that point she told me that she was still trying to find a supervisor and didn't have one. I have never been treated so dismissively and unprofessionally by anyone. I am trying to secure my account and do not feel safe with any of my information in your databases.
To resolve the problem, I would like you to cancel the order that is on my account and deactivate my account.
I am happy to provide additional details should you require them.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until February 21, 2018 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at [protected]
Sincerely,
Ilana Harwayne-Gidansky, MA, MD, FAAP

Assistant Manager Sarah P-Perra is very unprofessional. I worked for the Gymboree corporation for 4+ years. She got hired as I was leaving to pursue a new career after graduating college. There is too many things to type here on why she is not a good fit for Gymboree. Here are a couple: -brings kids to work -closes the store when she feels like leaving -doesn't open the store when she doesn't feel like working -doesn't treat workers with respect -left store door unlocked one night -doesn't keep lines together on sales floor.
I love the Gymboree Corp and took pride in the store and my workers. I now work at a school and wanted to come back to work during school vacations and summer break. Since Sarah has been hired, great employees have left due to her not being professional.
I would love to see some action on replacing her and getting the store back on track so we do not lose loyal customers. I would love to provide any more information as well.
gymboree website
Hi there, since the new change of the Gymboree website a couple months ago, I have a problem to purchase on line; I often buy on line for my 3 kids because it's convenient for me, but now I am so mad of the changes in the website, it's so slow to download the pictures of the items, thing that it takes forever to look at one categorie of clothes and then when you start checking out, it doesn't go through!😡 it happened to me so many times that I gave up buying anything! I missed so many deals these couple weeks because of this new website! I love Gymboree clothes, and I love shopping on line but now I feel so disappointed!
Please change your website to be easy for us to use it!
customer service
I cancelled my order for which I got cancellation confirmation email also after cancelling the order and it says "your order has been cancelled". 10 hours later I got another email which says "your order has shipped" I called customer service and rep. Told me that its not cancelled and even its not in the system records that I spoke to someone for the cancellation.
I forwarded that cancellation confirmation email 4 times and spoke to 4 different customer care reps. But none of them was able to see my emails. How surprised or shocking it is. I was getting replies (Which were not relevant to my concerns at all) for those emails from these people:
1) angel
Gymboree customer care
www.gymboree.com
[protected]
2) mary ann
Gymboree customer care
www.gymboree.com
[protected]
3) cris
Gymboree customer care

But replies were so different from what I was asking.
Unfortunately I am stuck and this order is forcefully sent to me by gymboree.
And the first customer care representative told me that if in any case she is unable to cancel my order I can refuse to recieve it and gymboree will get the package back. After this process I will get all my money back.
But the last rep keran told me that if I refuse the package I will not anything back neither the package not the money. Gymboree is misguiding its customers.
What if with the incorrect information I refuse to take the package and I loose package and my money both. Who will be responsible for that.
online ordering and customer support.
During the Black Friday sale 2017 I ordered $250 worth of merchandise. The tracking number didn't work properly. When the package came, I found out that Gymboree had charged the shipping to me twice and that the additional charges (which I've never been charged before) were $109.
I sent the package back and called Gymboree. FedEx said I would get a return tracking number. I didn't get the number. On their website the package tracking area said there was an error and my package couldn't be tracked. Over the phone they said they would return my money as soon as the merchandise came back, even though they knew I hadn't picked it up because of the post office record.
They evaded the issue in e-mails to me that said things like "I can see that you've been able to contact us by phone. This case has been closed, please let us know if you have any other questions."
I started a dispute on PayPal and they didn't respond. My bank said if the original charge (when I thought I was getting the merchandise) was correct. They'll still dispute the charge but I'll have additional charges.
When I called Gymboree they said I should wait because "it can take up to two billing cycles for your return to be processed, so if you've waited a month and it didn't work please wait another month" at which point I requested their exact location so that I could call the police and report the theft. They continue to evade the issue.
They stated that my bank will have to ask for the money back, they won't give it to me. I have called the SFPD (where their head office is located) and reported them for fraud. I would encourage anyone else who has been defrauded by them to do the same.
They also post fake positive reviews online trying to make their rating higher on sites like sitejabber where they have 25 5-star reviews with generic robot-generated text and 60 actual reviews (1 star) from irate customers who will never shop there again.
return
ReturnI have been a loyal customer at Gymboree for 6 -7 tears now. Buy there regularly for my littke he geandkids. I was absolutely delight with your stores the first few years I shoooed there. Quality and service and reasonable sales justified the priciiness. Last couple years feel quality has declined somewhat tho prices have not but not so much that I have reduced my shooing there. I've had a few problems with service but. Mostly things that could be fixed just time consuming errors in ring ups etc. I was sad when the only indoor Gymboree near us closed recently because the weather in Ohio is pretty nasty about 7 months a year. Having outdoor stores as the only option can cause a delay in returns or shopping at all. However what occurred today makes me wonder if I will ever buy anything else at Gymboree. And makes me understand why you are having to close stores. Finally the weather warmed up a little after a couple damp cold weeks here. Headed over with 2 dresses and receipt for them. Apparently I was a mere 3 days past your 69 day rule. Altho indoors I would have returned them a week -10 days ago. With a coupon etc I paid roughly $17 plus tax for each dress. Today the clearance price on the dress was 21.99 however they were having 50% off clearance so they only wanted give me $11 a piece back on my credit card. They wouldn't give me the price I paid off my credit card or even in merchandise credit. Even tho as soon as the 50%!off sale ends. They would be back to $21.99. As I said I spend a good deal of money on your store and I was very disappointed and "feeling cheated". Out of my money. I would have probably made some purchases while I was there but instead I just left unhappy and don't know when or if I'll be back. Except of course to return the dresses when hooefully I can get back what I paid for them. I know your return policy used to be more reasonable and most stores stretch their return requirements during the Christmas season to sometime in January. If you can do anything to rectify this situation or restore my faith in receiving good service from Gymboree I will be happy to continue my patronage. Sorry for the length of this but I wanted to explain thoroughly. I will look forward to hearing from you in the next day or two. As I don't want to hold on to these dresses until they want to offer me even less if my purchase price. Just additionally they have rung my sale up incorrectly twice recently. Ringing the same item twice and skipping another. Sincerely Kathy Ward
online ordering and customer service
I have been trying to enter a order for two days. This morning, I tried again and it seems to go through but I never get a confirmation. Looked in my "orders" and can not see where today's is entered. Checked credit card and charges are there as pending.
Called "Customer Service", spent 30 minutes on hold (timed, no exaggeration) finally got a Rep that I could not understand (heavy accent, bad use/knowledge of English language) She asked me five times for my name and I had to spell it very slowly for 4 times before she got it right. Same thing with email address.
She put me on hold a couple of times for several more minutes then came back gave me a order # and said for me to go to my online account and look it up.
I was unsure of what she was telling me and had to ask several times for clarification. Still couldn't get what she was saying, asked for someone else, several times, and never got to speak with anyone else. She just kept saying for me to look order # up online.
Reluctantly, I hang up and go to Gymboree.com to my account. Low and behold there is no order # of that sort there, no sign of the order I placed plus my cart has been wiped out. I try to re-enter items and about half are no longer available in the sizes I needed.
This is not the first bad experience I've had with Gymboree. Over the last three months I have entered 6 orders for my grandchildren. NONE have been easy nor customer friendly.
This is the final time and I will never ever shop online or in any of the Gymboree stores since they don't care enough to correct their extreme lack of concern for their customers. BEWARE if you shop there.
service in richdale center minnetonka, mn
Hey, Guys. My name is Olena. I been your customer since for the last 3 years. Today I was super exciting. My daughter turning 5, so I decided to get cute outfit for her. Unfortunately was pretty upset to leave your store with no purchases. One of your employee was "tired to be pregnant and work" as she explaine someone infront of me, beed very rude. When I ask her to verify the prices before I pay, she said that I should verify by myself accordign to the tags, and just after come to check out. And she can't verify prices for everyboddy. I been shokt, so I just left all the things I was plenning to purchase and left. Probably will be avoiding the store for a while.
employee accusing me of being a shoplifter
I was in the store at Wolfchase Galleria shopping for my kids when the manager on duty yelled out and accused me of being a shoplifter. She yelled out in front of other customers. And then proceeded to chase me outside of the store grabbing me by the arm . I have never stolen anything in my life. Her name was Daria Ellis. She is the ASM within the store.
publicity
Last week I started receiving Gymboree emails with promotions, although I never signed up for them. When I tried to make a purchase, I think on Nov 20th, some buttons on their web-site didn't work, and I could not enter the postal code. I sent them two emails, but got no reply. Then I tried to unsubscribe from their emails, but it has been impossible. No matter what options I chose (and the ones they specify on their email don't work), nothing gives the results I want. They send me their unsolicited emails daily.
poor customer service at gymboree outlet, aurora, il
Went to the Gymboree Outlet in Aurora, IL on Nov 22, 2017. The customer service representative was very rude and when asked for pricing of the products in store, the representative did not bother to provide additional details on general promotions and expected me to look at each and every sign in the store. Definitely did not feel welcome into this store with this kind of behavior. Will not visit this store again.
